A new arrival: part 2 (open, FFA)
Mon Feb 25, 2013 1:35 am
Protected by Konoha's high walls, the strength of the wind was much weaker here. It blew as a soft breeze through the streets, pulling all kinds of sound with it, making the streets seem even more busy then they already were. The streets of Konoha were a public library of sounds and smells, brought to life by the buzzing of activity. As the people were bustling about, going about their own business, Konoha seemed to wake up. The windows of shops left and right were flung open, like a flower opening it's petals to the sun. Some of the more early birds among the merchants were already carrying out baskets of their goods to display in front of their stores. A fine example of the early bird and the worms. Not long after, the sound of the first merchants shouting their wares and offers was drifting on the breeze, mixing multiple sounds together.
People pushed to the sides of the road as a cart came creaking through, pulled by a large horse. It's eyes were focused on the ground before him as it moved with a comfortable pace. By the looks of his hair color and vitality, the horse was already way past his prime. At the head of the cart was an old man, looking just as old as the horse. His eyes were looking at a point just a few meters ahead of the horse, although the speed of the cart barely required any attention. The cart itself was filled with all kinds of vegetables and fruits, probably brought in from the countryside.
From the crowd, a cloaked figure moved towards the cart and, with a quick motion, jumped up on the wheel and from there balanced himself on the side of the cart. Upon closer inspection, the cloak seemed more like a dirty piece of cloth then a proper cloak. Neither the man nor the horse seemed surprised or interested, moving their gaze back to the front after having had a look at the man. The cloaked figure was swaying back on forth as he tried to balance himself on the side of the cart. With a few quick steps forward, the figure closed in on the driver. "My good man. For transportation." He handed the driver a very light purse, jingling slightly when dropped in the driver's lap. With an attempt at a regal post, the cloaked figure placed his feet firmly down next to the driver and moved his arm up, pointing towards the Kage mansion in the back of the scenery. "Onward! To a job!"
The wagon continued its creaking pace as the cloaked figure remained next to the driver, standing and pointing at the Kage mansion. The wind blew past the figure, moving his cloak in wavy motions. His stance and outfit, combined with the (non existant) speed his transportation was moving at drew the attention of the bystanders and some of the local girls couldn't help but point and giggle at him.
