"First strike here it come ack," as he came closer to Den's body he was thrown offguard as he simply moved his hand out of the way," Dammit...this is going to be a huge problem in the future..okay got to attack his weak points," thinking to himself as he went through the motions. With his first move deflected, it would come down to the kick, which with his height would be a surprise to the taller man, but dammit he found him out again and dodged it.
Kurogane watched him from the first dodge to try and get a better feel of his movement's although he was faster than him, Kurogane could only barely keep up with him. Finding the time to regain his composure after being pushed by his forehead, he would look at Den and smile," I want to be better than you...and when i do, i will be able to defeat you, sounds pretty corny and unrealistic but you are now my rival and i always go through with my promises," nodding as he came in for another attack.
With this attack he would plan it more correctly, by twisting his body in a 180 degree angle, he would spin and launch his right foot towards his chest. With this spin kick, if he missed he would, he would use his left hand to catch the ground and bring his left foot towards his left leg. With the last strike, he would use his free hand, the one with the Kunai to his right leg. With this clever way of attacking, Kurogane would have some sort of opening to attack Den, but if all else failed he would bite his leg ^.^.

Den chuckled as the boy declared him as a rival, “That’s the spirit. Keep working hard, and one day I’m sure you will surpass me.” Den enjoyed the boy’s enthusiasm, and thought he had would go far in life. Though the boy obviously couldn’t rival Den’s ability in his current state, Den believed his level of skill would quickly progress and one day he would be able to rival, if not surpass Den in skill and ability.
After he finished speaking, Kuro attempted to attack him once more. The boy attempted to kick Den in the chest, however the young Jounin took a big step back in order to avoid the blow. As the boy landed on his hand, Den took yet another step back. This put him out of the boy’s range, making him unable to kick, stab, or bite him. Den would smile before he spoke again, “You definitely got some potential kid. A few years from now, and I’ll be the one struggling to hit you.”
Den wondered how powerful the boy would get. He already seemed clever, and his skill in hand to hand was above that of an average young boy. Den attempted to recall what he had done when he was a younger kid. I think I had been a Genin for a few years by the time I was his age actually. No matter, just because I was more skilled as a little kid, doesn’t mean anything. His father probably didn’t push for him to train at a young age like mine did, and he is only just now starting to learn the ways of the shinobi.
The thoughts passed through his head quickly a she looked at the young Academy student. I think he’ll make a great shinobi one day. Den wondered if he should continue sparring with the kid, but even though they had only been doing so for perhaps a few moments Den decided that he should probably head home. He remembered his father had wanted to do some training with him, to help him finish learning Fire Release.
“Sorry, I just remembered I have something really important to do. I’m going to have to head on home. You can keep the kunai though, just make sure you don’t hurt anyone with it.” Den would wait a moment before leaving however, incase the boy wanted to say something to his ‘rival’ before he went home.

Kurogane would continue to miss Den as he kept attacking, stopping only to catch his balance," God...he is just to good...but i will have to do better to surpass him. This is my goal, to become better than you," Pointing the Kunai at him as he panted heavily. Sitting down slightly he would look up at Den and smile," Well if you are going to be my rival i have to get stronger and defeat you. Maybe someday you can teach me a cool jutsu or something like that," scratching his head as he laid onto the ground.
He admired Den'a strength and power which had pushed him to get better and become stronger so that he could complete this goal. Looking up at Den as he said he was leaving soon," Crap...well promise me we will get to spar again soon Den, i want to challenge the skills i have throughout my training to defeat you and when i do, this Kunai will be with me," standing up he would grab the book and his bag as he walked off giving Den a thumbs up. Disappearing from his sight, he would walk out of the training tower and head back to the orphange where he would continue his training.

It seemed the boy had tired himself out quickly during the short spar. Den was glad to see the young boy had given it his all, “Hopefully I’ll have some jutsu you’d like to learn. We’ll see if any of those medical techs of mine end up being worth anything. But, you’d better make some cool Fire techniques to trade, alright?” he chuckled after that, acting as though jutsu were just something that could be traded between two people. As he smiled, he wondered if this boy would end up being a master of Fire techniques or if he would develop some other interest when he grew older. Regardless of what he does, it will be interesting I’m sure.
Den nodded when the boy told him they should spar again soon, “Yeah, we will.” He smiled, glad to see he had inspired this kid. He figured that the kid would now put more effort into his training, now that he had a rival the academy student would most likely push himself in his effort to reach Denkiteki’s level. Den returned the thumbs up before he made his way out of the training tower, to head on home
