Water-Heavens Convergence Training(NK)

She listened to Senba and realized how ridicilous her training method indeed was. She knew she was able to extract small bubbles, but why did she just go from that to big water shurikens? It made sense to build up systematically as she did with water clones and as Senba suggested, "You're right, I should go back to basics and learn how to use the chakra efficiently first. Thank god you're here, it could take me a while to figure what I was doing wrong with this 1 attempt-chance training method although it sounds completely inefficient now."

Ayumi walked near Senba and saw him create a rather small sphere but with almost no focus. It seemed like he could do it in any circumstance, and that was how it should have been. It had been a while since her water shuriken so she also started to extract some small bubbles, she was comfortable with bubbles smaller than Senba's and tried to understand how much chakra she was losing with 4 bubbles, 6 bubbles, 8 bubbles.

After playing around with the bubble count and creating little shapes from them, she started to really get the hang of what Senba was trying to say, instead of just extracting the water and building big stuff, making these small bubbles that she was familiar with would make it easier to form and use the bigger stuff. After that she could also develop bigger shapes and get familiar with them through training. It was about training and experience, and her old technique really lacked these as she could only build a jutsu every 5-6 hours.

She turned to Senba and said with enthusiasm "I think I underst..", but unfortunately she couldn't finish her words as she got overexcited again and formed too many bubbles as she thought of those endless posibilities. She got frustrated for focusing too much chakra again although now she knew how to train. She didn't faint this time but she could tell she was about to. She slowly walked back to the tree with a blurry vision without even finishing her words but only said with a low voice "Sorry" and sat there to watch Senba's training.

Senba thought to himself as she was creating bubbles "She might be over exerting herself a little making all of those. Especially after that big shuriken she made." Senba was correct and she seemed to lose energy quick. She walked over to the tree and sat down. Senba, was concerned but knew she would be okay, and said "It is okay." He figured she would be okay in a few minutes so Senba played with the water a little. He walked over to here after a few minutes and sat down. He said "Here is a little motivation to train more." He held out his hand and focused his chakra. It started as little water droplets forming in the air around his palm then quickly coming together forming a sphere of water. He then continued saying "Once you master this jutsu you can form water from the moisture in the air. If there is not any moisture, say in a desert, you can bond the hydrogen and oxygen molecules in the air to form it. Essentially you will be able to create water out of thin air. If you want I can stay and be sort of a sparring partner."

She looked at Senba's hand to see him create a sphere of water from thin air. She wanted to get there too, it would mean unlimited resource of water just like a wind user at the cost of some chakra. When Senba asked her whether she would like him to be a sparring partner, Ayumi was happy as a clam "Thanks, of course I want that!"

Ayumi didn't still regain full chakra, and although she didn't have to with this training method, she wanted to talk and get to know him before they started again. "So who was your sparring partner back then?, she handed him an apple, one of the two she found on a nearby tree and took a large bite from hers.

Senba rolled the apple in his hand for a little bit. He then said "It was mostly Hibichi that trained with me. It helped a lot since he is a taijutsu fighter and loves close quarters combat. Since he was so fast it trained me to have to keep up with his movements, and make sure the water shield could keep up. He got me a few times, but I started getting quick and threw him into the water at once point." Senba chuckled a little bit and took a bit out of the apple. He then asked "Where did you learn that technique from? Only the most advanced water users would know it." He was curious but he had it kind of easy learning it from the book his dad gave him.

"Taijutsu, huh?" It would make sense to train micro-management against hits with fast location change and a taijutsu user could indeed pull that off well. She on the other hand was even more lucky as her sparring partner was someone that actually went through these and knew the efficient ways of training, she didn't have to invent them all over. Senba then asked her where she learned the technique.

"Well, I found one of my mother's books in our house about rare, strong techniques that few people are able to pull off. I like reading books and I like rare jutsus so I didn't drop it off my hand for days reading them. She was a fire natured ninja but luckily it didn't have only fire jutsus in it so I could find this. I decided to give it a try and see if I was able to do it when I became a genin and I was fortunate enough to perform it..." She didn't like to talk about her mother so she wanted to change the subject in case he asked something about her. "So, what happened to Hibichi? Are you still friends?"

Senba smiled and though "I guess everyone has a book for something. The irony of a mother being fire affinity and the daughter being water." Senba then replied to her question "Yeah Hibichi and I are still friends. Though he is out training with his father at the moment and will not be home for a couple of days. They are training machines, and do not tire out easily. Hibichi said as soon as he got back he would challenge me to a friendly match." He chuckled a little bit then continued "The enthusiasm that guy has is very admirable. Thank you for the apple by the way." Senba stood up and walked over to the river, and ate the rest of his apple. He then asked "So are we going to train or what?" He asked this with a smile on his face and with a funny attitude.

"Of course!" she stood up, she was ready for training. "He sounds like an interesting guy to me." when she came near him she started forming small bubbles again, this time she was not overdoing it, she understood how much she could handle last time so she was only forming 10 bubbles and making small spheres with different sizes from them to get used to them. After around 5 minutes, she was warmed up so she turned to Senba: "Alright, let's try the shield shall we?"

Senba watched her form some bubbles; all of them different sizes. He walked on the water. Senba said "A shield is just a shield. Though remember that water is good against fire, but water is weak to earth. If you go to protect yourself against a earth style attack your water shield is virtually useless in some cases. The way I usually make a shield is that I keep it semi close to my body depending on who i am fighting. If it is a ranged fighter i would keep it out from a little away from my body for the fact that if they use a weapon it could pierce through the water. If it is a close quarters fighter I would use it like a armor though I would not keep it attached to my body." He built up some chakra and the water around him reacted. It came up around his body swirling around close to him. Senba put his hands in his pocket and said "Attack me, throw anything you want or try any jutsu you have in your possession." Senba hoped that once she started attacking and seeing how he shields himself; that she would get a better idea of how to shield herself with water.

She listened to Senba about how the shield needs to be formed differently against different attacking styles. What he said mostly made sense but she wasn't sure if she could control the water that well yet. He told her to try his shield first, she liked this idea since it could help her understand easier.

She first took her 4 kunai out of her pouch and aimed at him, making sure not to aim for a vital organ just in case. She thought to herself "So, what did he say about weapon users? Right, keep the water a little away since it could pierce through the water. So this way it would get slowed earlier or... I am not sure I am clear about the difference really. Let's see how he will react."

"Alright, here it goes!" Ayumi threw the kunai towards him not with full strength but they had a decent speed.

Senda did not budge, but he did notice the kunai coming at him. The water seemed to move as if it had a life of its own. It came to his defense immediately, the kunai penetrated the water, but it was thick enough to slow down and stop them from reaching Senba. He reached into the water that was shielding him and grabbed the kunai before they sank into the river. He threw them at a tree near Ayumi and they stuck into it. He said "See what I mean?" He motioned for her to try to attack him again.
