First chance meeting of what may be a team...

Kenchi would walk through the village his hands both inside his pockets. He had just finished a training session with Rin and the others and he was starving. He saw a candy store up ahead, though he did not like sweets too much he figured he'd have just about anything at the moment to settle his stomach. He would enter the store and grap a lollipop from the shelf. He would open the wraper and throw it into his mouth quickly with a sigh of relief. Walking along the ailes he could see a woman.

Kenchi would walk towards her as he stared at the shelves. "Hello...umm you come here often? The candy here is sweet!! By the ay my name is Kenchi nice to meet you." Kenchi would say smiling, followed by a nervous laughter. He always became nervous when he was around women and it didn't help that she was cute. Though the candy made him slightly calmer.

Daniel had woken up this morning, the sun shining, hardly any clouds in the sky, and there was even a slight calming breeze in the air which seemed to satisfy him. Although rather than spending his time outside playing games with friends he never made at the academy he was stuck at home with nothing to do. It was sad how such a quiet, though appealing boy could hardly make friends. Out of pure boredom Daniel had decided to go bother his mother and maybe, possibly, just a little bit, help her out with chores around the house if he was feeling up to it, which he eventually never did. As he went to his mother, they started talking and she asked him about the academy, how ninja training was going, and to all these Daniel replied, "Alright." His mother was one to tell if something was wrong from a mile so she asked him about it and found out he was having trouble making friends so she decided to send him out with some money and go around town looking for something to do and that's exactly what he did.

As he was walking around the village he noticed something he rarely ever did, the candy shop. It had been quite a while since he had last gone there and decided to go take a look and see what was going on inside, maybe there was some new exotic candy that he needed to try. As he walked inside he started to look around browsing all the sorts of colorful delights surrounding him, but he had no idea what he wanted to get. As he was turning around he noticed a girl around his height with child-like features. She seemed about his age, maybe she was in the academy too. Whether she was in the academy or not, it didn't matter to him he decided he would go talk to her because he was in great need of friends. Just as he was about to walk over he noticed a man take an approach to her and he decided that if he had the confidence to meet new people so would he. As he walked over he heard the the man say something to her and when the opportunity came, he tapped her on the shoulder and shyly asked, "Excuse me, my name is Daniel, nice to meet you. Would you know any tasty candies here?" He smiled and waved at the man too, as to not be rude about interrupting their conversation.

Kenchi would raise his hand in the hair and place it on the back of his head as he closed his eyes laughing. When he re-opened them, he saw another boy had and diverted the attention away from him. Kenchi's face would turn red in embarassment. Though he would wave back at the person responding to his kind gesture. "Chimitsu huh", Kenchi would repeat the girls name to himself in his mind. He would then glance at her quickly. She seemed innocent, almost child like.... Being in the candy store had almost made him forget that he was a high ranked ninja. He loved these moments, when he was able to relax for a bit. Still he knew there were things he still needed to do at the moment and he would have to be aware of those things. One of the many tasks he had to do was begin to recruit promising Tengakure ninjas and gather them all up on a single team. He did not know why that thought struck his mind at the moment, but he was beginning to wonder if the people around him were candidates of being on a team. Only time could tell if they were eligible, so for now Kenchi would just test them indirectly.

The angle at which Kenchi was standing, his torso facing the shelf, had kept his jounin attire a secret for the moment. He would look towards the two people in front of him. To keep the conversation going he would walk towards a chocolate covered pocky and throw it into his mouth. It tasted sweet, "These are nice. Hey umm...are you both ninja by any chance?" He would ask both Daniel and Chi. If they replied with a 'no' then he would simply stare at the shelves. If they by chance said yes, he would turn around towads them fully, revealing his Jounin attire. He would bow in front of them and re-introduce himself. "My name is Takizawa Kenchi. Nice to meet you." He would say while smiling. From here on the tests would begin. Kenchi would ask them a few questions preparing them for the ninja world. If they answered correctly he would demand that they join his team.

Daniel excited that the girl had replied to him, especially that it was in a cheerful tone. He pondered over her name for a moment then thought of a good nick name for her, his eyes lighting up for a moment while looking at her, he replied, "Chii is a nice name, but I think I am going to call you Chi Chi, I like that more and it has a ring to it," giggling as he said it. She then told him that she liked the pocky here and said it was delicious, in Daniel's pre-pubescent mind he supposed that if a girl liked something it must have something to do with sugar and spice, meaning its sweet. He decided he would try the pocky so he opened the container lid and picked a pink covered and munched on it. It was as if a rainbow had just formed in him and the pot of gold was lying right on his taste buds, this was one of the most delicious treats he had ever had the opportunity of tasting. At this point it was a necessity to purchase some and take home for later, but his hands weren't big enough to hold a "good supply" so he, as if it was nothing, transformed his left hand into some kind of giant gray and scaly-ish ice cream scooper and dug right into the pocky getting a good "handful" of them. As he turned back to the two it was as if his smile had gotten bigger and more joyful, but NOT to the extent where it was creepy.

Once he had turned around he noticed that the older boy had just asked them if they were ninja and to this Daniel had to answer with, "Yes! I am a student in the academy at the moment, but just you wait I'll be a genin in no time!" using his right hand to take a handful of pocky from his left hand scooper and put a few in his mouth then continued speaking after he was done chewing and swallowing which didn't take long at all, "Well, how about you? Are you a ninja?" Just as Daniel had asked the question he noticed the older boy turn around revealing that he was wearing Jounin attire, "Wow, this guy is really a Jounin? That is pretty cool, maybe he would be a good trainer and one day a training partner," he thought to himself. While watching the boy in awe he introduced himself as, "Takizawa Kenchi", again Daniel needed to think of nickname for him and it hit him. "I am going to call you Kenny if that's okay with you," grinning from ear to ear, "Two new friends Chi Chi and Kenny, I like those names."

Kenchi would smile at the boys eagerness to pass the genin exams. It was truly spectacular that it had not been too long ago when Kenchi was taking that very same exam himself. He would respond kindly with a nod, agreeing to let the boy call him Kenny. Though it was a new nickname for Kenchi, he had decided he had been called far worse then that in his Kirigakure days. He would look towards the girl as she began to talk. She seemed to be at a loss for words. Kenchi also noticed that she only spoke of herself through opinions of others. It seemed all of her knowledge came from other people and not herself. 'Does she have amnesia'. Kenchi would say to himself mentally. This was rather odd. He observed her smile, though it was different from the cheerful one she had shown earlier. He began to wonder in the back of his mind what the girl was hiding. He would make sure, when he returned home, to do a thorough research on the girls past, something new his ANBU promotion gave him the right to do under normal circumstances.

Though before Kenchi could make them a part of his squad, he would have to first see what kind of people they were. He needed to know more about them. First impressions could be deceiving sometimes. "Alright." Kenchi would say as he began to walk along the aisle. "I know little about you both. Tell me some things about yourself. You don't have to be too personal, just share as much as you are willing. Dan, you first and then Chi." Kenchi would say, using their nicknames to make them feel more comfortable and less pressured.

Daniel noticed that Chi Chi had seemingly been standing there amiling and not saying much, possibly journeying through her own little world or something of the sort, so he decided to avert his attention towards the Jounin boy. Daniel listened as Kenny casually mentioned that he didn't know much about him or Chi Chi and then asked them to talk about themselves. At this Daniel nodded and since he was told to go first, started talking, "My name is Daniel Tamashii, I am 13 years old and, as mentioned before, an Academy Student in this village, Tengakure. My parents also work as Shinobi for the village, so I have lived here my whole life. I plan on working my way up in the ranks and becoming an ANBU operative, but beforehand I need to work my way into the behind scenes action and get acquainted with whoever is running that part of the village. As for my skills I am a member of a sort of body modifying clan, it's kind of hard to explain, but over time if you decide to train with me which I was thinking of we you may be able to understand it more," as he would say that last part he would like down towards his giant basket hand. Before letting Chi Chi speak he would finish off saying, "I have no idea why I told you all this, but I'm thinking if I didn't we wouldn't really have anything going on between us, rather than being normal passer byers. I am trying to work my way up as quickly as possible and I believe you would be able to help me." Now done speaking he would wait for Chi Chi to finish speaking then he would add in, "What about you Kenny? Tell us about you."
