Breakin Up the Ring (Mission, Tenga Team Zero)
Wed May 22, 2013 2:21 am
Mission Name: Animals
Rank: B
Type: Information, Apprehend
Character Requirements: Genin Squad/Chuunin or higher.
Mission Location: Village, Tenga
Word Count Requirements: 2300
Repeatable? Yes
Reward: 1900 Ryo
Task: Reports show that of an underground fighting club in the village, where bets are made on animals forced to fight each other. We have always been one step behind them, as they move the location of the fights every day, but this time we have the upper hand. We know where the fights are going to be held next and when. Your job is to go there and stop them by any means necessary (without damaging property or the animals, unless they attack you first). Good luck.
Mission number two, well, team mission number two that was. Kuroda had been tasked by his teacher to select a new mission, one that wouldn't be given to a Genin alone, and this was that mission. The briefing which he had picked up from the Hokage's office and mailed to each of the other shinobi in his cell, informed them of a ring of animal fighters, that is, people who bet on fights between animals, who were running an illegal ring in Tengakure. As such the mission was to locate, stop, and disband the ring to prevent further lawbreaking. In all it seemed to be a pretty simple mission, though it was possible that there would be people in there that would fight them.
The mission itself was far more rewarding than any ones that he had done previously, even the one which his team had completed together. Then again, this one was far more difficult as well. The location of the ring was in a part of town which wasn't well liked, all because it was a bit shady. Though it was the perfect place for such a ring. Apparently it had taken a while to figure out where the ring would be held, since it kept moving. But, they had finally pinned it down, and Cell Zero had been assigned to finish it off. They were instructed to not damage the property or the animals, but, if theyw ere attacked they were clear to defend themselves.
His newly acquired scroll was hung over his shoulder as always, and he was leaning up against the last building in before crossing over to that side of town, waiting for the rest of his team. Night was falling, the ring would be active soon, and they needed to get there as soon as possible.

Takeo had only skimmed over the mission briefing he had received in the mail. He understood basically what they were required to do and as such Takeo had only brought some essentials. Said essentials consisted of five kunai which were located in a pouch on his hip, and a mask. Said mask had yet to be pulled up to cover over the bottom half of his face and instead remained nestled on his neck like some sort of scarf. It seemed that this mission was to be performed at night, understandable really, it would be rather dumb for underground rings/clubs to be going around doing whatever they do in broad daylight. Takeo wasn't really sure how well this mission would go honestly. The idea of shutting down some animal fighting club seemed to be a rather dangerous task. Most likely they would encounter some sort of resistance during the entire thing, but Takeo was confident in his abilities to defend himself in case such a thing were to happen. Unless the ring itself consisted of other shinobi as members, which hopefully wasn't the case, then everything should go fine.
The meeting point for the team seemed to be right on the edge of the 'rougher' area of the village. It seemed like they only one of the members of the team was here presently, and Takeo made his way over towards him, resting against the same building and raising a hand lazily upwards in greeting to the other boy. He felt no need to talk to him, after all they both knew what they were tasked with doing. Now all they had to do was wait for the remaining member to show up, and maybe Den if he was coming. Then again if Den did come then it would make the mission way too easy, which would then make this entire thing pointless and boring. If he was going to be doing these kind of things then they at least had to fun right? At least that was Takeo's opinion on the whole thing.

Kurogane had just woken up after a while of sleeping, unaware that he had a mission to do with his team. This would come as a surprise since he had just gotten through training with Den for the past couple of days and was just finally getting a chance to relax. Standing up he would touch his right eye, thinking of when it would be time for him to finally be able to use it, but then again surprises were all good to him.
Getting dressed he would put on his Yukata today and instead of wearing it like he usually does, he had his right arm outside of the sleeve, showing some of the white bandages he had been wearing. Finally dressed he grabbed his book and walked down the stairs, stopping by his big brothers room. For some reason he had not come out of his room in forever, so finally deciding to go and check on him, he found him in a comatose like state. Remembering what he told Den, he would poke his brother with the syringe and draw some of his DNA and quickly put it in a pouch before heading off.
After a couple of minutes of walking, he finally made it to the place where the team was meeting. He would see Kuroda and Takeo standing there. Walking over to them he would nod to the each of them," Hey guys what mission are we doing today," leaning on a nearby wall as he waited for an answer.

Den's team would be able to feel the presence of his chakra a moment before he would appear on the roof of the wall they were all leaning on. One of the drawbacks of having a large amount of chakra was that even non-sensor type would be able to feel his chakra if they were within 30 meters of him.
A soft noise could be heard as Den's feet stopped on the edge of the roof, it was a smaller building, only about 20 meters high. Most of the building in this part of town were relatively small when compared to the many skyscrapers that covered most of the city. He looked down towards his 3 Genin, one blue eye, and the other red and with 3 tomoe surrounding the pupil. "All three of you ready to go?"
He would motion that hey join him upon the rooftops, and if they followed he would begin to set out towards the building in which the fights would be held. He would make sure to move at a pace all 3 of them could keep up with, he didn't want to have to leave anyone behind. As they would near the destination, Den would look back to them, "Alright, try and surround the building, then move in from there. I want this done quickly, but try not to be reckless." he would then point to 3 buildings, one to the left of the building they would be raiding, one to the right, and one that was on the opposite side the team was currently on.
Den himself would stop after he finished speaking, now waiting at a building that was right across the street from the one in which the fights would be held. It was a 2 story building, though it looked fairly run down. Den assumed that the fights would be in some sort of basement, and was trying to decide if it would be best to go in through the top floor and work his way down or not.
Above him, the sound of flapping wings could barely be heard. Yuudai flew far above the building in which Den's team would hopefully be at, the young dragons job was to watch to make sure no one escaped while the team was inside.
Den would look over the building once more before signaling his team to move in, he was on a 3 story building currently o even the person on the opposite site of the building should still have been able to see him signal. The lights upstairs would be off, however a few were on downstairs. If everyone was in position, the signal he gave them would be to enter the building. Den would silently jump form his perch and onto the roof of the building. His next move was then to go down the wall and through one of the windows in the upper floor, doing his best to remain quiet. Hopefully his team would be doing something similar.
He was in what looked like a bedroom, thankfully it was empty. It seemed that this was being held in a two story home, interesting. He could hear a few noises below, men talking, even some animals growling. Seems this is the place. Den would make his way quietly towards the stairwell, if the rest of his team entered through windows on the second floor he would wait for them here, if they decided for a more direct approach he would be ready to jump into action as well.

In being the first one on scene to a mission, it was Kuroda's job to scout the place, and that he had done by the time Takeo, Kurogane, and their leader, Denkiteki, arrived on scene. He already had a good idea of what the surrounding area was like, as well as the building they were to be raiding. In his surveillance he had noted any possible escape routes for those that they sought to capture and was ready to head to them in case someone tried to get away. In any case, he was aware of each of his teammates when they arrived on scene, nodding politely to each, but not speaking in answer to Kurogane due to not wanting to be heard.
It was easy to tell when the Captain was on scene, his chakra had a distinct feel to it even to Kuroda, who had no talent in sensory things at all. Denkiteki had instructed them to surround the building, and so, Kuroda immediately took off for the building behind their target house. He had seen an escape route there, a small window at ground level, and he would make sure no one could leave by that route when they went in.
Shortly after getting into position and the others into theirs, Denkiteki made a signal for them to move in, and silent as the night around him, Kuroda jumped from rooftop to ground and padded lightly and quietly to the unguarded back door. He had seen through the glass and knew that the hallway beyond was empty and dark, two things that played nicely into his needs. He opened and closed the door in the span of a few seconds, while the noise on the ground floor was at its loudest and would easily cover his entrance. Here he would wait at the bottom of the stairs for the rest of the team. He could hear the fighting in the next room, some sort of felines from the sound of it. There were hisses and snarls and yowls coming through the divider that separated where he was from where the ring was. He now saw Den at the top of the stairs and awaited further direction.

Takeo didn't feel like being subtle today. In waiting for the two remaining members of the team to arrive the boy had grown bored. So when moving off to take a position, as he assumed the rest of his team was doing. He would locate himself on the left building a yawn escaping his lips as he did a quick glance to his side of the two story building. A few windows here and there, some open and some closed. Takeo decided to try and aim for one of the open ones, at least then he wouldn't have to worry about cutting himself. So when the signal came for the team to move in. Takeo disregarded trying to be stealthy and instead jogged backwards across the rooftop he was on. A run up was needed for his grand entrance after all. Dashing across the roof and leaping towards the building Takeo felt like he was a secret agent. Technically he kind of was one being a ninja and all, but whatever. Soaring through the air he came upon a sudden realisation, he was bad at aiming. His arms shot up to cover his face as he slammed into one of the closed windows. The glass shattering was rather loud, though the sounds from the floor below was enough to actually drown most of it out. Tumbling across the floor of the room he was in Takeo recovered from his rather embarrass mis-jump and redeemed himself with a rather professional roll into standing maneuver. His dignity now back he would brush off glass shards from his clothing, thankfully he somehow hadn't managed to rip himself to shreds, and walked towards the door to the room. Opening out into a hallway, with stairs leading down. Tugging his mask up over the bottom of his face, Takeo sprung into action. A dramatic dive down the stairs would initiate the the raid officially, at least for him anyway. It seemed like luck was not on his side today. It seemed he had miscalculated and didn't plan on a random guy not being at the bottom to cushion his fall. Instead for the second time tonight he found himself tumbling along the ground as he fell down the stairs. The noise of the fights thankfully prevented his rather loud entrance from being heard.
Springing to his feet like nothing had happened. Takeo glanced over towards the source of the noise. Not waiting for any instructions or action from the others he once more dived forward, this time for the door. By sheer luck, it was at this time that a poor soul decided to open the door to the room. The unsuspecting man never saw it coming, and was flattened by the boy barrelling into him. Then the fun began. Springing to his feet Takeo pointed randomly and yelled out, "Freeze!" Silence followed, the people in the room and the animals went quiet as they all seemed to stare towards the strange masked person who had just rudely burst into the room. A few seconds ticked by, and then the room erupted into chaos.

Kurogane had notice Den's arrival and smiled as he walked over to him," Hey heres that gift i mentioned the last time i saw you...maybe later you could do something with it during your studies or something," handing him the plastic bag that encased the syringe. He looked to his teammates and smiled," so let us get into position shall we, and by the way i guess i could coordinate our attacks if need be," looking at the building he would try and formulate a small plan just in case he had to pull something off. Seeing as their team was capable of doing this however, he was not to concerned about what was going to happen.
As Den soon gave the signal, Kurogane swiftly got into position and awaited the next signal, standing in one of the areas surrounded by darkness. His ice blue eye would scan his surrounds as he could hear the sounds of the people that resided downstairs. He looked from teammate to teammate as he waited for the signal from Den. Kurogane came from one of the upper bathrooms that was surprisingly empty, which was good in his case as he walked out slowly and stayed in the shadows. Once out to where he needed to be, he would see everyone in position already and smiled as he gripped the book.
The only thing he did not account for was Takeo jumping the gun and barraling down the stairs," Oh my god...is this guy dumb or just plain stupid, he can't even wait for the symbol," looking around to make sure no one else was coming. To the right of Kurogane a voice could be heard, but it was retreating that coming close which was good. Looking down to Takeo, he would apparently have been safe and his cover still in...oh wait he just did the dumbest thing ever. He announced himself to the room as he face palmed , " Oh god...what are we going to do about this," he looked to Den to see what he would do and if he gave some sort of signal, and soon he would spring into action to help subdue the culprits.

Den took the sample from Kurogane, he would convert it into a serum the next chance he got.
Well, it seemed that Takeo did want a more direct approach. Den watched as the boy tackled the poor man who opened the door, the door that led to where the fights were being held, "Alright, let's go." Den would quickly move down the stairs, though he slowed his pace as he neared the door into the room where the fights were being held.
By the time he entered the room, Takeo had already told the people to freeze. He began counting the number of people in the room, 12 men and 7 animals. As he finished, the men finally began to regain their senses, some beginning to pull out weapons while others turned as if they were going to run. There was no where to escape however, save a window directly across the room from Den.
Pulling up his own mask with his right hand, Den reached into his weapon pouch and pulled out his Sense fooling bomb. After putting his mask on he used his hand hand to close the door behind him, dropping the bomb on the floor. It quickly exploded, the room filling with the gas. Takeo and Den both had masks on, the young Jounin could only hope that the Genin's would also filter out the toxin that was now in the air.
People began to fall over, some hitting their head son the wall, some lucky enough to land on one of their friends. Den would wait a moment before opening the door behind him, ssome of the gas leaving the room but not filling up the next. It would effect Kurogane or Kuroda unless they entered the room. Den would then begin to lift up some of the men and throw them out the door, landing just outside of it. Some of them would try and get up, but their vision was disrupted so many just fell over again, " I guess we can start taking them to the prison to be interrogated, leave the animals in their cages for now."
Toma would appear next to the stairways, a mental command from Den causing him to teleport to the location. He picked up two men and walked outside, the sound of beating wings becoming more audable as the dragon named Yuudai landed outside the door. Toma dropped the first two on his back before entering the building and putting two more on his shoulders. Their feet still touched the ground, as Toma appeared to be a 5 year old, but he could carry them easily enough.
After every man was taken out of the room, Den would also pick up two and head towards the prison, hopefully his team would manage to lead 2 men each to the prison without much trouble.

It was quite lucky for the men within the room that Den arrived when he did. The drawing of weapons was a sign of challenge for Takeo, and he was of course ready to reply with it. So his hand was already moving down to the ninja pouch at his hip, ready to draw a kunai in order to begin his assault. But then he heard the door closing behind him, which of course made him turn his head. He caught sight of Den just as he was throwing an object to the floor, exploding outwards in a cloud of smoke revealed it was obviously some sort of smoke bomb. With the smoke filling the room Takeo went to pull his mask down, he wouldn't need it if his face was hidden by the smoke. But luckily for himself he caught that Den was also wearing a mask. He then heard the sounds of the men in the room hitting the floor...or wall then floor.
With the door once more opened, and some of the gas beginning to filter out. Takeo made a bold decision, to remain masked. He didn't feel like risking the chance of ending up like the men who seemed to be...weird..or something. Then the order came for them to take the men to the prison. That was of course after Den had taken them out of the gas filled room. Takeo did his bit to help, he supervised. Exiting the room to grab two of the men by the back of their collars, he caught sight of what appeared to be a young child carrying off some as well. Shaking his head slightly, he assumed that some of the gas had managed to get past the filtering system of his mask. To avoid ending up seeing anything else strange, he simply walked out of the building dragging the two men behind him. "That was rather easy."
