A noteable request... [Private, Tenkage]
Tue Aug 13, 2013 1:29 pm
Soon after arriving to his home village, Daniel decided it was time he have his discussion with the Tenkage about alternate ways of becoming a Chuunin, for example proving himself worth with his medical studies and such rather than fighting and possibly causing massive dispute between countries. As he was walking he noted the nice weather and the fairly crowded streets, Daniel could remember back when he was younger how interested he was in all this, but since he had seen it all since birth it was now getting boring, he was no longer entertained by the massive structures surrounding. He was now interested in travel after having gone to Konohagakure, it was fun meeting new people and learning things he couldn't learn in his own village, things that only other villages had, it was true they could be brought here, but it wouldn't be as natural. Thinking about all the possibilities about what the rest of the world could look like Daniel became even more curious, as the world expanded in Daniel's mind he thought about all the possibilities of genetic change in different locations, they were so great Daniel had to force himself to resist the urge to leave again, but it would be the most amazing thing ever if he were able to represent his village as a traveling researcher, he could eventually bring all his studies back to the village to further help everyone. But to Daniel he couldn't do such a thing with the simple rank of a Genin, it wouldn't work like that. He would need at least the rank of a Chuunin and the Kage's permission to do traveling research throughout all the villages, which was the reason he was heading to the Kage's office. After having walked through the highrise atmosphere he finally arrived at the Tenkage's building. Daniel would slowly pace himself walking casually until he arrived at the Tenkage's office where he would knock on the door and wait for permission to go in. If no one were to answer Daniel would peek in to see if anyone was there.

Den was looking over some paperwork when he heard the knock. "Come in." Lifting his eyes from the page, he would wait to see who had come to visit him. He was wearing his Kage outfit over his old attire from his days a Jounin, still unwilling to part with his gear despite being in a position that was far more political than anything else. Unless he was attacked, or the village as a whole was attacked, he would have no need for his armor. But, being as paranoid and cautious as he was, he liked to have his gear with him in case something happened.

After having knocked on the door Daniel would have waited for a response which would have been made for him to come in, but this surprised Daniel, he knew this voice from somewhere, it was incredibly familiar. Daniel would then push the door open and take a step into the room closing the door gently behind him as to not make noise that would bother the Kage. Daniel's suspicion had just been confirmed the moment he looked at who was sitting at the Kage's desk looking through papers, it had been Den, the man who had taught him most of what he knew about medical and kekkei genkai studies. This was an immediate surprise to Daniel, he couldn't think of any reason Den would be sitting at the Kage's desk, unless of course if Den had become the Tenkage during Daniel's absence. This was a shock to Daniel as he wouldn't have expected it, but then thinking back on it Daniel realized how strong and talented the man was, even if he was a bit young. The man who had been Daniel's idol had now even made a larger impression on him had increased his tenacity to become bigger and go further with his research.
Standing in a moment of silence, Daniel would stare at the supposed new Kage in complete interest. After the moment had passed, Daniel would shake off the feeling of confusion, and speak with a smile on his face, "Hello Den, have you become the Tenkage? I can't think of any other reason you would be sitting at that desk. If so, what happened to Shinji, is he hurt or did he retire?" After having given a moment for Den to reply, if he were to say he was the Tenkage, Daniel would continue, "Well that is good to here, congratulations on your promotion." From there Daniel would change the subject to the real reason he had come here, "If you wouldn't mind, Tenkage sir," calling Den by that title still would have felt weird as he was not used to it, but again, he would continue, "I have come here to discuss a couple things about an alternative promotion for myself and an opportunity to expand my research through travel if you allow such a thing. It would be to the definite benefit of the village and it's future." He would then stand there and wait for an answer.

"Shinji decided he wanted to go soul searching or something like that, and made me the new Tenkage. Last I saw him he was fine." Den was surprised Daniel didn't know he was Tenkage, he thought there had been an official announcement. Maybe whoever Den told to send that out had messed up. That was pretty lame.
Now completely ignoring the paper he had been holding, Den smiled as Daniel congratulated him, "Thanks, it's been fairly dull so far though. A lot of paperwork." Not that he wanted it to get interesting, because that would mean the village was in danger.
"What sort of alternative promotion?" Den was curious as to what Dan had to say. Even though the boy had done stolen from a member of Den's Genin squad when the young man had been a Jounin, Den didn't think Daniel was a bad kid. So he'd still listen to what the boy had to say.
(Sorry this post is also meh, keep getting distracted from irl stuff)

Seeing as his former and possibly future teacher had been intrigued by his suggestion or rather so Daniel believed as his observations over time had brought him to the conclusion that it was only human nature to ask questions if said person was interested to learn more information than what was presently given. Thinking back on the subject as he had sought it to be so important, Daniel cleared his throat, in order to make sure his speaking was proper and formal, with no mumbling or slurs of words. Beginning to speak he would begin with, "Thank you for allowing me to speak forward, Lord Kage," bowing his head he would continue, "After having come from the normal Chuunin exams where villages send their esteemed younger ninja of the Genin rank to go forth and become more than they have been, I have seen the terrors and hazards that come with such things. Of course, many enjoy such things and love experiencing such thrills in combat and have an eager vitality to protect their village in that way, another group including myself do not wish to take part in such things and we would rather support the village from the safer and less violent paths one might take. I have dedicated my time to research and development of the medical path and I wish to further my knowledge on such by being able to travel about figuring out what techniques other villages use, meeting specialists on my way. All for this to end my travels back home bringing everything I have learned here for the better good of the village." Taking a breather in order to complete his main point, he would relax his tense body and clear the jumble of thoughts in his mind, "In order to do such things I realize that I would need a higher rank in order to be considered of such importance, although since I do not personally approve of the other promotion way, I was hoping you would consider any sort of way where I could show you that even a medical ninja could be of use at higher ranks. I could show you some of my medical technique or research on genetics, I've even made a variant of your bloodline transfusion technique using the notes I took from you. I can't say this more than I have, but thank you for allowing me to become your student for such short time." Taking another bow, he would allow the kage to speak after his thorough and hopefully well thought out speech.

Den contemplated the idea, trying to thin of a suitable challenge for a medical ninja to reach the rank of Chuunin. The boy was correct, an exam based around combat was not a suitable test for one who focused more on healing and experimentation.
Den knew there was one thing he wanted though. He had read Dan's file, and discovered that he possessed some strange DNA. Den wanted to study this, and was wondering if Dan would allow him to exam some of his blood. "Before we decide how yo'd be tested, I'd like to ask if I could have a blood sample of yours?" Takehiko would appear less than a meter in front of Daniel, and unless the boy said no he'd stab a syringe into the boy's right arm, filling it with the boy's blood. If Takehiko was allowed to take the blood, Den would then go back to talking about Daniel's chances of obtaining Chuunin.
"Alright, a test to prove that you a medical ninja worthy of Chuunin.... hmm." Den wa sunsure as to what an appropriate test would be. Perhaps he could have the boy assist him in trying to discover the relation of Senju and Uchiha DNA, to see how exactly the two combine into that of Rinnegan? Or have the boy show him one of his own techniques, to see just how far he had advanced. The latter sounded like a better idea, which is what he'd go with.
"How about you show me some of those techniques of yours. No need to show me your variant of mine, have you created any of your own techniques? Or mastered a difficult one?" Den would wait for the boy to answer, wondering what sort of arsenal the boy had.
(Not sure if Den would know about your bloodline or not, but either way he'd want to examine it. Hope you don't mind, like it says i nthe post if you have a problem with it just say no.)

The boy didn't seem to object to Takehiko taking his blood sample, so the clone did it, and assuming that Daniel didn't stop him Takehiko he would teleport back into Sanctuary to go check it out.
Daniel didn't respond to Den's questions for some reason, which led to an awkward silence between the two. "Um... well. If you can't think of anything now, you can come back later and give me an answer."
[End, if Daniel doesn't respond]
