Repairing what was broken

Corvin's opponent at the chuunin exams had done a real number on two of his puppets. Fortunately for him, the strain it took to get the puppets to this state was enough to bring his opponent near death. After the battle was over, Corvin had collected his two puppets into bags. Now, he sat with these two bags next to his forge. The task of repairing the two puppets was a simple one. However, the number of pieces they were sundered into was going to make it slow work for Corvin.
Setting one of the bags aside, he emptied out the contents of the other. Looking down, he saw the tattered remains of what used to be his puppet Grey. The first step was to separate the pieces into individual body parts, then again into individual mechanisms within each body part. Once that was done, it was simply a matter of fitting together the puzzle. He would take two pieces that went together and would line them up just right, then using his magnet release would put the pieces into the forge until they were able to meld together. Once together, he would add another piece and follow the same process, carefully cooling the ever growing piece each time. Soon enough, he had all the body parts together and just needed to connect them all. After a while of tedious work, he had Grey completed and back in its seal. Due to his processes of creating the puppets and the method of repair being so very similar and with such a high degree of craftsmanship, you would never know the puppet had been damaged.
Next came the other bag containing the Doctor. The same process as before was observed. First, the individual parts were separated out and the individual mechanisms were were separated out within the parts piles. Corvin again tediously forged each piece together and formed out the various parts. It was while forging the final piece of the Doctor's head that it occurred to Corvin that if he could get fire natured chakra under his belt then he would be able to do this process without the need for a forge with the right jutsu. He filed the idea in the back of his mind for a day that he would be strong enough for that sort of thing. Soon enough, all of the pieces were in place and all that was left to do was connect them together. The Doctor had taken him significantly longer considering that the mechanisms within it were much more complex. The combat arms alone had taken several hours. Finally, after long hours of work, Corvin had his two puppets looking good as new. He hoped that his poor puppets would not reach such a state of disrepair any time in the near future.
