Training days of an academy student
Thu Dec 19, 2013 4:34 pm
Maku awoke that morning to his mother yelling “DAMNIT MAKU GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE AND TO THE ACADEMY NOW!!!!!” So he was up and sprinted outside to the academy. Days like this where the worst, he thought to himself. What he meant was a day where he couldn’t sleep till noon where the worst. Shuffling his way to the academy this is what one might take stock of. A shorter than average boy, who seemed slightly stockier than normal, yawning with short but tousled hair. Yawning he approached the academy. The day itself went by fast, the work was boring and hard. The chakra control exercises where easy even though he didn’t show this to his teachers, because they might call on him to do more work.
After school Maku went to the woods to train alone. He thought that by training alone he could do his own things without being asked to do more than he wanted to do. His first training was to sit in a clearing, relaxing and focusing on his chakra network. In a way it was a training method he had developed for himself. Though it probably existed elsewhere he like to do it alone. By focusing on his chakra network he would flex his chakra training himself to be able to use more and more. After he felt warmed up he took a small nap.

After his short rest Maku awoke and begin doing pushups and other basic workouts. Maku could easily be perceived as being a lazy individual, so him doing all these physical workouts might confuse an objective outsider. Though his reason was, if you where in shape then every other activity performed would be easier. By being strong he could move things easier when needed, and by having stamina he wouldn’t feel tired so often. So he continues to work out each muscle in turn. By doing squats and some abdominal exercises he felt that he had gotten every major muscle group thoroughly worked out.
After this he jumped into the local river to begin doing some lap swimming. Maku was an awful swimmer; however he knew that it was a good workout so it was worth doing, besides he didn’t want to drown. After a couple slow and short lengths of swimming he rested on the bank. Going back to where he had laid his belongings he pulled out his copy of Make Out Paradise that he had purchased earlier that day and began reading it. The person hadn’t wanted to sell it to him at first, but Maku could be very persuasive. Relaxing before his next workout, he read a couple chapters.

Finishing the first two chapters Maku’s face was read as a strawberry. Maku loved looking at pretty girls even if he was too embarrassed to talk to them. And some of the subject matter in the books really opened his eyes to the world, but made him blush accordingly. Using this new found nervous energy he took to running through the woods getting in a healthy jog. Feeling his heart rate up he ran for a good half hour dodging trees and leaping over stumps probably a little more exuberantly than needed, but he felt it would be a better workout. After he was fully back in control of his complexion he went to do the most difficult training he knew.
He had stolen some chakra litmus paper a few days back and found out that his natural element was earth. He had no idea how to bring this out so he had taken to holding dirt and rocks and trying to make it do something. Focusing all his chakra into his hands. He did this for about an hour, but with no luck. He felt exhausted from using his chakra, but was disappointed that he failed.
After all this he returned home. His father was very sick so he helped take care of him. The business was hurting. His father ran an interesting work, where people would be put under genjustsu on purpose to be transported to a vacation. People could feel like they’d been at a vacation for several days, and only a few moments would pass. It was an odd way to use chakra to make money yet effective. Maku had been working extra hard, because he knew as soon as he graduated from the academy and developed the family technique he would take over the business. With this in mind he went upstairs and took a book from his parent’s library and read more on genjustsu paying special attention to the notes his father had scribbled.
The notes where confusing and hard, but already he had begun to develop some of the skills. The science behind the work was easy enough for him to understand, but the skills still took work. Reading until well past when he should have been in bed. Finally he hid the book back under the bed. Once again he didn’t want people to know he’d been working so hard. A genjutsu master was his goal, through this he could help his family and his village, and he welcomed that day despite his laziness. Plus by beign that talented he knew he could get the guts to talk to a girl finally.

Awakening the next day it all started the same. His mom yelling at him to leave for school. Eating breakfast and saying good bye to his dad, he couldn’t help but notice his dad looked worse today than he did yesterday, which made him very sad. But it gave him the reason to work harder, which wasn’t always easy when he tried to maintain his slacker attitude.
Academy had once again been a good day. He stayed back but soaked in the concepts. Once again he left for the woods and started his own form of training. It went well and he could feel himself getting stronger and stronger especially with his chakra control. His days at the academy where almost over. The exam was coming fast and he wanted to graduate in one go and get it over with. He had taken his father’s research book and notes, and with great self control he reframed from opening the Make Out Paradise book that he really wanted to read. The notes were coming easier and easier as time went on. He knew he’d be able to perform the skills soon. Now he really needed someone to practice with and on to make sure he was doing it right. But he knew that wouldn’t come until after he was a genin. No one would want an academy brat practice genjutsu on them.

Because he knew his abilities to work on his genjutsu where at an end until he became a genin and was allowed more practice he focused on his physical attributes. He wasn’t very fast or very strong at the moment so he worked hard to gain these strengths. Running and jogging he continued to work out. Physically it was very draining, sweat poured from his face. Burning from every muscle he walked back to his parent’s house. He replaced the book back on the shelf where it truly belonged. Until he passed the exams he needed to focus on working his body to the next level. Doing a few more pushups and sit ups before bed, he thought of how the next couple days would go. The genin exams would start soon, and then a real journey would begin.
He woke early the next morning for once and worked out some before the academy. The dates of the next exam where posted and he saw that his name would come up in the next day. Because of this after school he only did a moderate workout so he wouldn’t be too tired for the exam tomorrow. His time had finally come to advance.
