Preparing to say good bye
Wed Jan 08, 2014 6:12 pm
Bracing for a new day filled with travel in his near future Youka figured it was prudent that he train his body one last time on the outskirts of this village before he left it. He had spent more time here that he had cared to and time had flown by without him noticing, but he had met a interesting younger person in Kumo. They had sort of bonded in their own way through fighting and training together and Youka would be sure to never forget the lessons he had learned. As he made it to the gate of Kumo he started a well paced jog around the villages walls, he needed to warm his body up and get his heart rate pumping but not too fast as this would just be a mild workout before he set out of the village.
Making it to what he could only assume was a little less than halfway around the villages outskirts his mind drifted to where he would go next. He still wanted to find a place that taught strong earth jutsu, but now that he had this golem he'd created he thought that possibly he could also make his own powerful earth styles. Snapping back to reality while stil keeping stride in his jogging manner he started lunging forward as well to stretch his legs out as best as he knew how to do. He had made it to the halfway mark by now as he looked up at the towering walls surrounding the village, it was indeed a mystery at how long it had taken men and women to build these walls and he wondered how long they had been here.
As Youka brought himself to a stop from his jogging an insane thought popped into his head he should do the other half of this jog on his hands to increase his upper body strength and also give him better stability in everything he did. As he brought himself up on his hands after taking a handstand he began walking on his hands, feeling the blood rushing to his head rather quickly he tilted his head backwards so it would be parallel the ground that was under him effectively limiting and holding off most of the blood rushing. With every lift of his arm he took to move forward it became easier for him to continue this mode of movement, It also allowed him to pick up speed as his hands got used to the texture of the ground. As he was beginning to pick up speed he was more than 3/4 done with going around it once and he was in a good stride as his breathing was keeping up with his unusual exercise.
Taking longer strides with his arms extending them forward as far as they would go to stretch them as well as build their strength from his body weight pressing down on them. As he was running at a consistent speed he could feel his breath becoming labored as this was taxing on the body because this wasn't the natural position the body was supposed to take in running. He passed the entrance to the village on his feet jogging right side up again as to not draw attention to himself because a priest running on his arms was sure to be a scene. He decided to make one more lap around the village again, it was a nice day outside and the weather was just right for a run so he would use the weather to his advantage.
This village had almost become like a second home to him from the amount of time he had stayed here but it was also because of this reason that he had to leave. He was becoming to comfortable with being in this place where nothing had happened save for a few spars with Hika and a run in with a very rude ninja at the gates that he honestly had wanted to kill but there were others around that would more than likely try to stop that. As he made it again to halfway he began punching into the air in front of him in a shadow boxing manner increasing the speed of his punches with every step he took. It was becoming natural for him to assume fighting positions and to receive hits as well as give them he had fought a strong person that had made him go to his limits every time.
Again reaching the half point mark he bent down to his knees and began to crab walk the rest of the way around the village feeling the burn all over his legs as it moved from his hamstrings up to his quads bringing that joyous stinging sensation only to be washed away by another over and over. He had set out only to make this a light jogging trip but as always it had turned into something more and him pushing his body to different limits seeing how far his natural toughness would push him before he came crashing back down to nothingness. As he was continuing the crab walks his mind shifted to how he would leave the village and if he would say bye to Hika, he knew he would return the sword that he had let him borrow he had no need for it anymore, he could defend himself well enough without it now. Or maybe he could convince Hika to maybe take a trip with him and just venture to the wilds and find their own path. Though that would bring its own complications as he was a missing nin and Hika was loyal to his village he would more than likely not turn a blind eye to the death of innocents. These were thoughts he would have to answer in his own mind he thought as he made it back to the village gates, standing back up straight out of the crab position he walked back into the village prepared to pack up his belongings and head out of the village just as soon as he said his farewells.
