Snowball fight! (Open)

It was snowing. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking. “But it’s always snowing in Yukigakure. That’s how it got the name to begin with.” Well, something was different about today, Rakka couldn’t tell what, but it made her want to go outside. It’d be weird if she just went out and made snow angels in the middle of the village by herself, so she sent some of her people to run around the village, yelling loudly about a snowball fight she was starting at the gates. It wouldn’t kill these people to have some fun once in awhile.
She ordered a mess tent to be put up outside the gates, far enough away from the village that nobody filed a noise complaint or something, and stocked with a warm fire in the center, tables and chairs surrounding it, and warm food and drink. While a few of her workers set up the tent, Rakka made sure there was cover to be had, creating two mini-castle like structures with her ice mastery, each of them ten meters tall and ten meters wide, with a tower at each of their four corners that was 3 meters in diameter, with windows for throwing snowballs through, and a top with battlements to duck under. A large, circular bunker would be at the middle of each tower 5 meters in diameter, to provide cover from defenders. The castles would be a total of 50 meters apart, with walls about 1 meter high every 5 meters for cover, until the walls reached 20 meters from their respective castles. That area would be open, save for 3 circular bunkers 5 meters in diameter each in between the walls, to serve as the middle ground for the battle that would take place.
Rakka wiped her forehead as she finished these preparations. This was gonna be fun. She then went to work on making sure there was plenty of ammunition lying around. She made six shadow clones, and armed three of them with shovels. The clones went to work shoveling snow into piles to make fresh snowballs, and making premade snowballs which would be piled behind walls, in bunkers, and in the castles. They made good time, and by the time the mess tent was finished being set up, Rakka had covered the area in hundreds of snowballs. If she wouldn’t be remembered for making an alliance with Tengakure on her first day, then by god, she’d be remembered for hosting the most awesome snowball fight in the history of Yukigakure.
Then, she would wait at the center of the area, waiting for the combatants to arrive.

All the village of Yukigakure was abuzz with what would promise to be a grand snowball fight. However, there was one shinobi in the village hidden in the snow who did not like it one bit. He sat in his hotel room high above the village roads and looked down at the villagers move here and there in an attempt to prepare for the fight of the century. Who might you ask is said shinobi? Well, it was none other than the Grinc--nah--it was Shinji Uzumaki. In his warm hotel room the Grinch himself, Shinji, thought to himself and sneered "Who do these snow shinobi think they are? Who would want to have such a battle in the snow..." Letting this thought jumble through his mind the kage's lips came to form a grin, an awful evil grin. Along with this evil awful grin came an awful evil thought "I know how I can show these snow shinobi who they are dealing with, yes. I'll beat them at their own game. I will beat them in a snowball fight." Suppressing the urge to maniacally rap his fingers together and laugh, Shinji prepared for the battle of his life, surely it would eclipse all others. The Uzumaki could see it being sung about in all the halls of the Uzumaki, well, if they had halls that was.
Grabbing a quick cup of what tasted like liquid chocolate, Shinji went out into the winter wonderland and soon to be battle field of epic proportions. Surely it would leave the Snow village scared for centuries to come. With a slight smile on his face the kage gingerly stepped through the snow and observed the structures that had been created. Walking around for a while the Tenkage arrived at what seemed to be the center of the battlefield. Of course he took note of the blue haired girl standing there. Sighing ever so slightly the kage spoke up so Rakka could hear him clearly, "So, whats going on down here anyway?" Naturally Shinji knew what was going on here, but he wanted to see what Rakka had to say. Plus he had to sign that treaty or what not-so troublesome. Perhaps politics would come later, but right now the Uzumaki was more interested in a 'friendly' snow ball fight. Hopefully Rakka had some kind of plan for this epic fight.

One grand journey through the desolate snowy wasteland that was the Snow Country later and Kaede was approaching what he suspected was the village of Yukigakure. The former Shimagakure leader had been travelling for a few days now, and had yet to adjust fully to the cold climate. Wrapped in a scarf and a thick coat he found that he was still incredibly cold. More than once he had questioned why he had decided to go to possibly the coldest place in the mainland first. Well, it would be a waste of time it he just turned back now when he was so close. A few more minutes of walking and Kaede caught sight of some rather strange structures within the distance. His attention diverted rather easily by interesting things, he stopped making his way towards the village and made his way towards the closer structures. As he drew closer he identified them to be makeshift castles made from..ice? Considering the place he was, Kaede wasn't that surprised with buildings being made like that.
Making his way closer to the ice structures, he also noticed what appeared to be walls and bunkers made of ice. Kaede also took notice of several snow piles within the vicinity. From the corner of his vision he took note of a tent that was set up a bit away from the area. Kaede wasn't entirely sure what the hell all of this was. He was about to just ignore it and continue on his way, but he spotted two figures stood within the centre of the structures. The first thing he noticed was that one of them had blue hair. It was quite a unique colour, though maybe it was common in these parts. Deciding that he might as well investigate, and try to understand the culture of these parts some more, he walked over towards the two. As he made his way within hearing distance of the two he spoke out to them, "Hello there, is something about to happen?" A good start....sort of.

Demetri Kori blew into the scene appearing just beside Rakka, at a speed of 200 from his travels, in the middle of the "battle field". "Whats going on here Rakka?" He asked as he scanned the people that where already gathered. He looked at the other two and noticed their chakra levels before doing anything, the one who wore no glasses looked vaguely familiar though he could not place from where perhaps a book of another nation or something, while the other one he did not know.
Unable to answer either mans questions he waited for Rakka to answer.

Daemon was perfectly fine in the cold weather of Yukigakure, how ever the same could not be said for some of the inhabitants. Following Shinji to the place that the other villagers where yelling about with not a care in the world for who heard it, be it a spy that would use this chance to burn the village to ashes or to kill the leader, more of a right hand man right now but still enough to cause damage to the village as a whole, but who was Daemon to judge what was done here it wasnt his village after all.
He would allow Shinji to do the talking as he listened to what had to be said when a fast blur, one he couldnt really track, appeared Beside Rakka Yuki, the temp village leader.
[Requesting posting order change, i would like Daemon to post after shinji and Dem after Blane so that im not double posting if thats ok with every one.]

(Sure, W/e, Idk, wait for these two to answer I guess)
Wow… Nobody got the memo, it seemed. Maybe the people running down the streets and screaming “Snowball fight at the gates!” was too subtle? Or was it the giant castles and heaps of snowballs laying around? So at Demetri’s appearance, Rakka decided that since everyone had pretty much asked the same question, she would speak with actions. Scooping up a bit of snow from the ground, she started to talk in the general direction of Demetri, deciding she should speak to someone who was technically her superior first.
”Something to raise moral.” She would say as she packed the snow, before hurling the snowball at the weakest link of the group (As well as part time village leader critique) Daemon, aimed to collide with the boy’s head and cause a puff of white dust around him.
”A snowball fight!” She would add, deciding that was information worth knowing.
She pointed to the castles, deciding a listing of the rules were in order…
”Alright, so the rules are fairly simple. Jutsu are allowed, but only for defensive roles, like the substitution technique or something like that. No Rasengan, chakra chains, ice needles, or anything like that. No weapons may be used except the snowballs. No throwing with excessive force, if someone can’t follow the speed of the snowball you’re throwing, it’s too much. Wouldn’t want to kill anybody. And speaking of not killing anybody, no physical contact of any kind, this extends to punching, kicking, shoving, or kissing behind the castle, whatever you guys do.” She would explain, before nodding her head towards the castles, walls, and bunkers she had created. ”The boundaries of the arena are the edges of the walls, and the back of the castles. Leave the boundaries, and you will be… I dunno, sentenced to some sort of punishment, I suppose. Whatever I think of at the time.” She would explain, detailing out the rules as best as she could. ”Any questions?” She would ask them.

Shinji took note of the two new arrivals, but dismissed them as villagers just here for a snow ball fight. After all, how was he to know two village leaders had just joined the snowball fight? Well, besides both of their rather impressive chakra signatures, which the kage took note of, but did not really feel like delving further into it. As a result Shinji merely kept the abnormal chakra signitures in the back of his mind. However, Shinji did take note of Daemon who had found his way out onto the 'battlefield'. Regardless of all the newcomers the kage listened what Rakka had to say with a rather blasé expression and slight wrinkle of the forehead.
A snowball fight that was sure to be fun. Although the Uzumaki did not much care for the restrictions that Rakka put on the fight, he figured it was probably for the best. Though, it did get his mind working; he needed a strategy or he was bound to lose. The kage was always one for rather whimsical thoughts and it was at this time that one came to him: what if there was a way to be able to throw a snowball from behind cover. No, not behind it, but through it without disturbing the structures that had been created. The Uzumaki knew there was one discipline that would allow him to pull this off and that was the art of space time ninjutsu. Sure, the Uzumaki had once delved deep into the subject, but, as of late, he had forsaken it for a more practical art form: the medical field, which had, thus far, allowed him to be a great helper in the hospitals around Tengakure. However, perhaps it was time for him to relearn the art that would allow him to bend the fabric of space and time. He had learned it once, all he needed to do now was relearn it and relearn it he would. After all what better place was there to learn than in combat, well, if one considered a snowball fight combat.
These thoughts streamed through Shinji's mind over the course of Rakka's explanation. He was only partially registering what the Yuki girl was saying, though that was not stopping him from responding to the stand in village leader in a cool tone befitting the freezing weather, "Well, it seems you have it all planed out. I guess I will start on this side." While saying this the Uzumaki jabbed his thumb to one half of the 'battlefield', namely the half behind him. However, the Uzumaki did not allow this gesture to be the end of speech as he continued flawlessly, "I suppose when this is all over I can meet some of your villagers as well, Rakka" The kage was referencing the two new shinobi who had just shown up though he did not directly pint them out, merely hinted at it by shifting his gaze as he spoke to the two unknown people. Shinji then fell silent and allowed the remaining people to pick their sides and perhaps introduce themselves. While he waited the kage recalled his studies into space time and its various nuances.

Daemon watched as a snow ball plowed right at him, at a speed of which he could track but was unable to dodge. As the powdery white snow hit him he sighed not knowing why the acting village leader had chosen to single him out in this "combat" simulation. Wiping the snow from his face he listened to what shinji had to say and responded accordingly "I think ill be with shinji in this one....." He said in a cool tone that befit not only the weather but the 'ice' that ran thorough his veins and fueled him to win, not only the battle that was to come but also the trust of the former kage back, with that he walked a bit closer to Shinji and waited for the others to pick their side and to speak, little did he know that he was learning about diplomacy the whole time.

Kaede remained silent during the explanation. A snow ball fight? The man had not actually experienced one before, so honestly he was kind of confused by the whole thing. What exactly was the point in throwing balls of this freakishly cold snow at other people? As the female spoke the man took the time to examine the people that had gathered here. During this time he tried to put names to faces. It seemed the only female, from what he could tell anyway, there was called Rakka. It seemed she was the one who organised this thing, perhaps she was the leader of this village? It seemed plausible, and the statement from one of the other men here somewhat confirmed that to be the case. Said man picked a side, one which was mirrored by a boy who seemed to know the man as Shinji. Using his ever amazing power of deduction he deduced that Shinji was not from around these parts, mostly from his statement of getting to know some of the villagers.
Kaede briefly looked over the remaining two, he had not heard any sort of name being said, so he could not put a name to the face. Though he assumed the one who had arrived in a somewhat dramatic blur was a shinobi of this village, as he seemed to know who Rakka was. The other knew Shinji, thus Kaede guessed the boy was some sort of hand maid/butler/squire who travelled with Shinji. Now understanding whom everyone sort of was Kaede had to pick a side. While he did not like the idea of having freezing cold frozen water, or whatever it was, thrown at him he was willing to try and understand the culture of these strange people. Thus he took a moment to indicate with his head over to one of the sides, the one the other two didn't pick. "Eh, I guess I'll go over there." He said giving a half shrug. With that he trudged over towards the icy fortifications, refusing to take his hands out from his pockets at this point.
He'd take the time to get to know the people later, for now he would take part in this rather strange game. Maybe there would be prizes for the victor?

Demetri smiled at the idea of the snowball fight that the temporary village leader had organized. "Alright right then i guess ill join in as well." And with that he walked off to one of the castles Rakka had made. The only two on a team it seemed at this point were Shinji and the other small boy, for some one of his age he had quite a bit of chakra in him, he would have to watch them as they may prove to be formidable in this battle. Once in his place of battle he would watch Rakka for the signal to start, which was odd as he was the leader but he would allow her to continue this one last part of leaders rule.
Before any thing began though he would ask Rakka one last question "Are any other villagers showing up or is this it?" The question would be asked in a firm tone showing confidence and power, which might clear up as to who he was to those who didnt know at the time. He was finally back from Amegakure and was ready for a little bit of fun before sending another letter to the fire nation asking advice on running a nation, even one as small as this, or perhaps he could talk to shinji personally after this was done, the man seemed to be well knowledgeable and from other parts although he did not know which yet perhaps it was some where close by maybe Tengakure or Kumogakure. Alas he would find out later and move on from there.
