“Yea yea, gotcha,” Koaru said, accepting his latest mission from the Hokage. Some kid was stuck in a tree somewhere just outside of the village. This was pretty common for kids around the village, because they mostly had dreams of becoming a ninja. Koaru walked toward the village gates as he wondered whether the kid stuck in a tree was a student at the Konoha ninja academy. Koaru reflected on his days at the academy. He had failed most of his exams because of his preoccupation with his female peers. If this kid was anything like him, then he was not very good with ninja techniques, particularly that jutsu that he was supposed to have learned and mastered at the academy. Koaru arrived just outside the villae gates and heard a young boy shouting in panic. “Please help me! I can’t get down!” Koaru craned his neck upward in the direction the voice came from. Koaru was shocked at the height the young boy had scaled by himself. It was at least 40 meters tall, stretching upward and touching the very clouds in the sky. Koaru whistled in awe as he stretched out his limbs. The kid continued to cling to the tree for dear life. Once he was done, Koaru gathered his chakra and began to concentrate it to his feet. When his feet were glowing with the bluish color of chakra, Koaru stepped toward the tree. He took a step onto the trunk and was now standing horizontally on the tree. Koaru then assumed a sprinting stance and darted towards the boy in distress. Koaru weaved through branches and leaves, scaling the large tree in a matter of seconds, and with great speed. Koaru finally reached the same level the boy was hanging from and he performed a backflip to land on the same branch the boy clung to. Koaru crouched and grabbed the boy’s wrist, then hoisted him up. The boy shrieked in Koaru’s ear. The sound of the scream made a swarm of hornets emerge from their nest. Koaru quickly put the boy on his back, telling him to hold on. However, their combined weight made the branch snap under Koaru’s feet. The two boys fell towards the cold hard ground. The collected Koaru gripped the boys legs as he used his feet to run along the tree trunk to control the fall. Once at a manageable speed, Koaru flipped and swung off of several branches before landing on the ground safely. Koaru released the boy and warned him to be more careful.
