monsters under the bed(mission)

mission:

Kira headed quickly to the center of the town, her hand sliding through the items within the bag at her side as an almost nervous habit. She did this at the begining of every mission, making sure that anything she had was accounted for in the event she needed something during a fight. She wasn't sure what would happen but the mission given by Maku was incredibly strange and she wanted to be prepared. She slid two of the senbon into the holes of her fishnet undershirt slowly, setting them flush with her forarm as they usually were for quick access and running over the mission details. "Alright...So wait for yori and then we go figure this out." It was strange, she thought to herself, that there would be odd sounds coming from children's closet. She remembered when she was young thinking there were monsters under her bed, or more so under her sleeping mate's bed which was directly eye level with the small pallet of blankets and padding that she had slept on as a child, but had never thought much of it. This, however was not a strange bed time story. People were actually dying. Kira was determined to figure out what was going on, even if it meant waiting all night.

Kiru wandered through the town, looking for somethinng to do. It was rather late, and he was up and awake without anything to occupy his time. He kinda wondered what Kira was up to? He hadn't seen her in a while, and wouldn't mind getting in some training. He had his katana strapped firmly to his side, and he took off across the rooftops of the town. He had no reason to believe Kira was up this late, but he didn't really have a reason to believe she wasn't. Perhaps she had been looking into the ghost stories floating around recently. Kiru had been meaning to do that as well, but his duties had kept him busy. Near the center of the village he spotted Kira, preparing her equipment. Had he been right? The only way to tell was to jump down and ask. It took him only a minute to jump down to her level, and walk up to his sensei. "Hey Kira, you wouldn't happen to be looking into those odd ghost stories would you?"
He wasn't sure what other reason she would have, but he was interested none the less. At least he would have something to do for the night.

Ice couldnt sleep tonight, he was hearing noises and the such, but everywhere he looked he couldnt find where they were coming from, so he went to change from his pajamas into his normal cloths, he got himself a bowl of ceral even though it was night time and he walked outside after his food, he went walking through the town up to the center and there he saw Kira and Kiru, then it hit him, he was supposed to meet kira for a mission, so he decided to play it off like he didnt forget, and smiled as he approched speaking as he did always towards anyone "Hey Kira, Kiru, was sup, didnt know you were joining us on this mission kiru, well always nice to have the added hands" he turned to Kira and spoke "Well whats our mission" he would let out a yawn and strech a moment as he waited for an answer from both of them, he double checked all his gear, yea he had it all good to know, he would look around as he rocked back and forth on his heels

She greeted each with a kind smile. It was helpful to have an extra set of hands and pair of eyes. "Alright....so I suppose you all heard about the situation. I'd like to get this completely handled quickly so that we can hurry off to get some sleep. There are a few people in the village who have offered access to their homes so that we can stake out this situation. I think we should split up. Kiru, down the street to the left is a large white house belonging to a kindhearted maried couple with a three year old. They're terrified of the situation so be easy with them. Yori, This house here, " She pointed about two houses down to a large red home with the storm shutters open, " That will be your spot. We get in, we figure out what's going on, and if someone sees something yell out. The windows of each house will be open and we're all in hearing distance so it shouldn't be to dificult to get to each other's aid quickly.

I have a feeling this might be some kind of murderer, and from the sounds of it there's a chance they may hold my bloodline. If they strike with shadows beware their position in comparison to your own shadow. If their shadow links with yours then it's a bad situation and you probably wont even be able to call for help. If it's not a nara analyze what it is quickly call for back up and we take care of the problem. " She would wait for confirmation from the two before heading to her own stake out position, a small house in between the other two's spots. she hoped it was just something like a cat, but with the deaths she doubted that to be possible.

Kiru would nod to his sensei. "Alright, hopefully we can find whatever this is before it harms anyone else."
He would head to the house, greeting the couple. The woman looked scared and talked in a fearful voice. "Its my son who has been having the dreams.. Please, you have to help him. Find whatever is doing this and put a stop to this before he gets hurt."
Kiru would nod, and try to reassure her. "I'm sure I can figure it out. Just get some rest and i'll have it sorted out by the morning."
He would give her a reassuring smile, and head upstairs. In the room sat a young boy, fearfully looking at his closet. Kiru would pat the boys head. "I'll look over you tonight, rest easy."
With that, the boy would hesitantly lay down, while Kiru found a corner of the room. He used transformation jutsu and disguise himself as a coat rack. He would ignore the unlikeliness of the young boy having a coat rack in his room, as he wasn't even sure the monster was sentient. He began his watch, being wary of every moving shadow, and every creak and noise in the room. He didn't realize this job was going to be quite so terrifying. He hoped something actually happened before his heart exploded.

Ice would nod towards Kira and headed towards the house she told him to go check out, as he arrived at it, it seemed abandoned honestly, so he would just open the door ever so slightly and peek around.......Yeap it was definatly abandoned, Ice would then slip into the house and would being to walk quietly around in the shadows, he would activate his sharingan as he looked around the house, and cominbed it with Chakra Senses,he scaned the whole house from top to bottom with both, and finally he found something about the basement, so he would creep over to the stairs that lead down, a few creaks here and there, but nothing to alert whatever it was he found, and he would begin to head downstairs, after traveling so many steps he could see a light flooding the room off to the side.

Ice would get to the bottom of the steps and looked around, there was a couple of rooms up here, so Ice would creep over to the open door with the light comming out of it, and he would peak inside the doorway, and there stood a man, and right aobut then he began to play a flute, he didnt sound the best with it, but there was something off about this flute, Ice wouldnt quite place it at this moment



And Ice would Revial himself to the man playing the flute once he was done and spoke out to the man saying "Hey what are you doing down here, and what do you know about these Nightmares and people dieing from fright?" once Ice had shown himself and spoke the man was suprised to find anyone who withstood his sound gentjusu and growled at ice "Your supposed to be asleep, How are you still awake, why didnt my genjutsu work on you?!" and at the moment he rushed at ice and tryed to swing the flute at him, the man had impressive amounts of speed, but the sharigan allowed ice to stay just ahead of the swings, and then as ice stepped to the side to dodge an attack he would trip the crazy man and watch him stumble into a wall

As each of them headed off to their destination kira watched for a moment and then finally walked over to the house she was to watch. She knocked on the door and was greeted by an young woman who flashed her a bright smile. "Hello. I'm Kira...." She nodded before the first word even left kira's mouth and waved her inside.

"Alright. So which room is it?" The woman pointed up the stairs and as she began to climb the stairway Kira followed slowly. They went down the hall, and she stopped at the second door to the left. The woman seemed paralyzed by fear as she stood there in front of a child's bedroom, the door open to reveal the contents of the room. It didn't look any different form a normal room, she thought, and as she walked in and looked around she confirmed there wasn't much about the room different then any other room.

Kiru heard a slight noise, almost musical like, when a realization hit him and he suddenly felt horrifying fear. Why would Maku be the only one able to use sound genjustu? Kiru could feel his senses fading fast. His legs grew heavy, his arms grew weak. He was losing consciousness at an alarming rate. No ordinary person would have noticed this, as no ordinary person would know what this was. His last action was to shield the young boys ears from the sound before passing out.

When Kiru woke up, all the colors he had known were reversed. His jacket was red, and the parts that had been red were blue. The maze like walls around him were a eerie green color and almost seemed to shine. He seemed alone, but appearances could be deceiving. It was then he heard a sound. Like a horrible slithering mass of water rushing towards him. Turning, he saw literally a river of serpents heading towards him. They all seemed to be different colors and shapes, but there were hundreds of them. Kiru immediately turned and ran. He had to get away. He could only imagine that getting caught would cause him to end up like the victims before him.He kept to the left, making sure to never make a right turn. No matter what, he had to keep going straight. It seemed though, that no matter how fast he ran, the slithering mass of serpents would be slowly gaining. Were they inescapable? An idea hit him, and he realized he should have thought about it much earlier. Jumping to the top of the maze, the serpents passed harmlessly under him, apparently unable to go up. 

He walked along the edge of the maze, careful not to fall into the serpentine depths. The maze was now filled with masses of serpents, hissing, biting, and generally being a nuisance. Without arms though, their hissing threats were simply meaningless. He had to find a way out, it was the only way to warn his friends, at least if it wasn't already too late. Dropping those thoughts from his mind, he pressed onward. Once he found the end of the maze, he found it led to a odd looking garden. The grass of the garden was blue, and strange fruit seemed to be growing from upside down trees. In-case you don't quite catch it, the branches and leaves of the tree are on the GROUND. Kiru figured he shouldn't eat the fruit, but he was still interested in what it did. Picking one of them, he tossed it into the serpent maze, where it was quickly devoured. The serpents that partook in the meal then violently exploded, taking out several others with them. He quickly stepped away from the plant, deciding that wasn't something he needed in his life. There was an exit to the garden, but he didn't know if he should continue, or wait in this relatively safe area. He at least would rest for the moment, and plan his next move.

Kira was immediately pulled into a strange world, the moment she entered the room. it was strange, she thought to herself. It was only then that she heard the sound of the flute. The bedroom around her was completely gone. In it's place she could see a vast ravine all around her. She stood on a small stone pillar what had to be hundreds of feet in the air. "This....Isn't good. " She thought to herself. She remembered the last time she had been put into a genjutsu. It was by her friend, maku, and it had almost ended her life. If he had been a little bit higher with the attack she would be without a head, and since that is inevitably a fatal ordeal, that would ensure the loss of her life.

She looked down, and as she did she accidentally kicked a few of the loose rocks at her feet down into the hole. They bounced down the small cliff like edge to fall into the ravine below. She waited several moments for the sound of rocks hitting the ground, but the longer she waited the more she realized she would never hear them. "How do I get out of this...." This had to be a really powerful genjutsu, she thought to herself. If it werent there would be no way she had been caught. This spelled serious trouble.

"HELP! HELP! HELP HELP HELP HEEELLLLLPPPPP" She yelled at the top of her lungs every direction she could think of, but nothing helped. The more she yelled the more she heard silence return the call, the only sound around her being the echo of her own voice resonating off of the cliffs in the distance. She felt alone and slightly scared. "There has to be a way out of this. " Just as she said it the world around her seemed to offer a solution. It was not at all the solution she wished for. The edge of the cliff began to rumble under her feet and a small chunk broke off to fall down into the nothingness below, clanging against the wall of the pillar she was standing on several times before it went completely out of sight. She looked up, but was met with a pitch black sky similar to the darkness below her. "Yep....Definitely a big problem....." Her hands slid into a few hand signs in order to help the situation, first using the great exploding colliding wave jutsu. She figured the water volume would be more then enough to provide her a safe way of getting down from this....Wherever the hell she was but as the last of the hand seals were made she found that nothing would actually happen.

Another chunk, this one quite a bit larger then the last, released itself from the edge of the pillar she was atop of to clamber to the ground, or what she needed to believe had ground at the end of it, though to her eyes it was nothing but a pitch black expanse. She formed two more jutsu, but each failed to be activated as she pulsed her chakra and tried to use it to find a way out. She was now starting to panic. Her pulse quickly became more rapid. her sight was slowly drifting into a hazy unfocused mess that made it hard to tell if the platform was still getting smaller or if it was just her. It was in fact getting smaller, and she found this out when a large piece that she was putting a large ammount of weight on suddenly cracked beath her almost taking her with it down into the infinite nothingness below. "KIRU!!!!!!! YORICE!!!!!!!! SOMEONE GET ME OUT OF THIS BEFORE SOMETHING REALLY REALLY BAD HAPPENS" One by one large chunks of the pillar dropped from below her feet, each bigger then the last, causing her platform to shrink from a large knife shaped bit of solid stone to a small circel about two meters wide. she had an incredibly limited ammount of time before she would fall into the nothingness, and she was certain that it would be incredibly unfortunate if she were to actually fall down there.

Ice would walk over to the man who had knocked himself out, or so it seemed, by hitting the wall and rolled him over, and as soon as he did, the man threw the flute and hit him in the forehead of guard with it, and it bounced and rolled away as Ice had stepped away a few steps, the man got up and finally saw the eyes ice had and smiles wide and says "Im going to take your eyes!" and he lunged at Ice who was just getting over the flute attack, and then he was able to just grab the mans hands in time to begin to wrestle around with him.

They rolled around a bit before the man began to tire out, and Ice would win over in strength and stamina finally, pinning him to the ground and ice would speak to the man as he rolled him over and placed him in a classis arm lock used by the ninja security force that helps protect the civilians and apprehend the local criminals, he would say to him"You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a fair hearing, You have the right to a defender, if you can not afford one, one will be provided for you, you have the right to a fair trial with the village leader, do you understand these rights as they have been spoken to you?" Ice would then begin to tie the mans wrists up with chakra canceling rope and he leaned him against the wall and the man began to laugh.

"he is making his move, you just dont know, I was only reaserching a jutsu for him, he knows it works already, and he has the perfected form, I was just causeing as much trouble as I could to keep you morons distracted while he did his own thing" and then Ice would walk over to him and bent down in his face and looked him dead in the eye and spoke with a menecing voice saying "Tell me everything" but all the other man could do was laugh and then he slammed his head forward into Ice's nose, causing a nose bleed and ice to stumble backwords, and the man would hope up and take off running.

Meanwhile Ice has to fixs his nose, then he found some gauze nearbye to stuff in this nose to stop the blood from gushing out his nose, and Ice would then go chasing after the guy, keeping track of him with the chakra senses, he followed him and when he finally got to a street the man was straight down, he used three hand signs and blink to the other side of the street right as the man was looking over his shoulder, and the man bumped right into him, Ice would pick him up and slam him into a wall, growling as he shouted "Tell me what that was! and tell me how to handle it!"

The crazy man spoke again and said "that is my nightmare genjutsu, lures you to sleep you cant get out of on your own,and then gives you nightmares till you die of fright" and after that Ice would think of Kira and Kiru, he would slam the man into the wall again to knock him out,and Ice would take of using body flicker to get to the closest house to him, which was kiru now, and he went running into the house and used Kai, Gen release, and helped to wake Kiru from his genjutst,but he didnt have time to stick around, this time he stepped outside and body flickered over to the house Kira was supposed to be in and went looking for her and upon finding her would use the Kai,Genjutsu release to awaken her up from the genjutsu and he would sit there watching over her till she woke up
