Pride v.s. Dillusion (NK/P/IO)

Class was taking it's normal break and the students were all outside, Naka of course being the only pure blooded Uchiha in the class besides Mugen exited the room last and headed towards the outer portion of the training field. He leaned against the fence and lowered his head making everything below the bridge of his nose hidden from the outside world, his eyes closed as he rested his body without slipping away to sleep.

It that favorite time of day in the Academy for Mugen, where the children were allowed outside to hone their skills. As usual, he was the first one to arrive outside due to his eagerness. Being indoors made him feel sore, as if his strength was slowly draining away with each second he spent doing nothing. He craved being outside, not only because of the fresh air, but because he doesn't feel so trapped. And so, our special Uchiha-hater was currently near the fence of the academy grounds, performing pushups in a handstand position. Sweat rolled off his forehead and hit the cool surface underneath him. His blue, long sleeved turtle neck prevented the chilly air from freezing him. However, his black basketball shorts practically welcomed the nice breeze.

"Five...Six...Seven..." he counted with each pushup, "Eight...Nine...Ten! Twenty more...Eleven..."

His counting could be heard from anyone near by, and it just so happened that Naka wasn't too far from his position. Of course he had seen the Uchiha arrive, but decided to pay no mind as he didn't want a headache. He occasionally let his eyes drift over to the younger student, fortunately he had his eyes closed whenever he looked at him. It made Mugen wonder if the boy was actually sleeping with how he was leaning against the fence.

"Twenty-six...Twenty-seven...Twenty-eight...Twenty...niiiine" his volume increased with each word he spoke, happy he was nearing the final number, "Thirty!" The boy pushed 2 meters off the ground, performing a backflip and landing back onto the surface in a low crouch. He then stood up completely and straightened out his back, reaching towards the sky and soaking up any sunlight available. A glare hit his eyes, forcing him to squint, but he didn't bother to do anything else. Once more, his gaze went towards Naka as thoughts ran throughout his head. Is he seriously going to waste time and not train? he wondered.

Naka was soaking up the sun allowing his mind to be reset and allow his thoughts to drift, but he never allowed his mind to slip away into a sleep. He tried to concentrate on his thoughts but something was bothering him it seemed like he was being watched, he couldn't imagine who was watching him all the girls tended to glance and giggle but this felt different. He opened his eyes showing the pearl black they were to the world and noticed the ninja he had met before looking at him, they weren't too far from one another so naturally Naka figured something needed to be said. "What do you want?" A simple statement that would serve his purpose as to gather why this boy who obviously didn't like him would be watching him so much.

Mugen tilted his head upwards and raised an eyebrow at Naka. He merely continued to look at the Uchiha, still too occupied with his own thoughts to register the words spoken to him. He was slightly irked with how Naka was using the time given to them by the academy. Their superiors expected them to utilize the small prize they were given as a means to get stronger.

"If one were to simply stand there, then they would be wasting that prize..." he unconsciously stated aloud.

The boy placed a single hand behind his head and cracked his neck. A content sigh escaped his lips no matter how much he attempted to suppress it. He never knew that he was in such a stiff position. Mugen slowly made his way over to Naka, stopping once he was a meter away from the Uchiha. He knew he still didn't want to obtain a headache, but he needed to get this thing off his chest. It's unhealthy to keep things to one's self, he already realizes this. And so, he needed to forget about the risk of wanting to take a nap afterwards.

"Leave," he spoke sternly, letting the word linger for a moment before continuing, "If you're going to do nothing then just leave. Everyone else is doing multiple activities to better themselves, yet you just stand there acting as if you're asleep." He released another sigh after he finishing talking, feeling better as he always does when he speaks his mind.

Naka watched Mugen walk towards him and when the other boy stopped he listened and smiled, he found it humorous before he responded. "You say I waste this time, and you state that I act a sleep. But have you taken into consideration the fact that furthering your mind is just as important as your physique? So what do you want? Your the one who has been watching me." all this said as though talking to any other person in the village. Naka stopped leaning on the fence and started standing in a comfortable position, his hands in his pockets and his eyes focused on Mugen as he awaited a response. Naka was interested to find out why this kid was interested in him all of a sudden, though upon awakening his sharingan because of Mugen, Naka no longer holds anything against him.

He looked at Naka with a blank expression, listening to the words that were being sent in his direction. He didn't believe that the Uchiha was "furthering his mind" in the slightest. If he was, then he he would have settled into a more comfortable position and meditate. Yes, that's what Mugen would do if he was focused on furthering his mind to a certain degree. Rather than state this however, the boy simply scratched the top of his head and furrowed his eyebrows.

"I don't really want anything...I only needed to get that off my chest," he stated, mumbling a few incoherent words afterwards. It was something along the lines of "stupid, I'm stupid" or "idiot, now you made it awkward." He truly expected Naka to get a bit annoyed with his words, but he did not anticipate the reaction he received at all.

A silent atmosphere appeared around the boy as he racked his brain for something else to say. Not talking to much people other than his little sister really had it's drawbacks since he had no idea what to talk about. Mugen sweat dropped as he continued to look at Naka. There was only one topic that came to mind, one that he was positive the fellow Uchiha would be interested in. The boy took in a deep breath and swallowed back any small amount of pride he owned.

"How..." he started, feeling a bit uncomfortable, "How did you...obtain your sharingan? I remember seeing your eyes red the last time we met..."

He allowed his sapphire orbs to head in the opposite direction, not wanting to look Naka straight in the eyes. He could practically visualize a smug smirk on the Uchiha's face, however he didn't know if the younger boy would do such a thing or not.

Naka watched the boy closely and began to wonder what he could possibly come up with as an excuse for just bursting over here, but he didn't really care ever since the awakening of sharingan. He had begun to grow cold as days passed and his power was growing, but his thoughts were stopped when the boy spoke about not wanting anything which confused Naka as it seemed idiotic to approach then. He stood there looking at the kid as he diverted his eyes and allowed silence to settle in, Naka was beginning to get disturbed by the silence but it was broken. Naka's eyes opened wide in a state of shock but in an instant they returned to normal as he burst into laughter at the boy who had said he wished to learn how Naka achieved his sharingan, the boy who had told him Uchiha and their eyes were worthless now wanted to learn how to achieve his eyes. The eyes of only the strongest Uchiha, Naka looked at him closely then began to speak. "I thought you hated the Uchiha? I thought the eyes we own were nothing but targets?" a smirk on his face as he continued to speak calmly but with humored tone, "So you wish to learn about the eyes?" After all this was still an Uchiha so who knows maybe he could unlock the secret of the eyes.

There was silence, even if just for a few seconds, then there was...laughter. The laughter reached Mugen's ears, continuing their journey throughout his head. He stayed completely still for a moment before he clenched his teeth and shut his eyes. With the tone of voice Naka used he could tell the boy was humored. Of course, he does hate the Uchiha, he does believe their eyes are nothing but targets. Yet, here he was asking for help on how to obtain it. I'm a hypocrite, such a hypocrite, he thought to himself, grinding his teeth against each other. He felt as if a small rain cloud was above his head, raining over him and him only.

"They are nothing but targets. Nothing I could possibly say or do will change my views on that. However..." he replied through his gritted teeth, "The reason they're targets is for the power they hold. Who wouldn't want such high visual prowess?" He turned his head in Naka's direction once more, taking in deep breaths as to calm himself down. He never knew the day would come when he asked another Uchiha about their bloodline. In fact, he never believed he would eventually use it. Mugen fully opened his eyes, allowing his blue orbs to be out in the open.

"I merely want to know how to unlock such a power, and any drawbacks that come with it," he had to really be desperate for what was about to occur next. Mugen tilted his body downwards, in the form of a slight bow. "If you could show me, then I would owe you one..." he grumbled.

Naka listened to the boy closely the conversation was incredibly funny to him, he couldn't help but laugh as he listened to the boy give in to the weight of being an Uchiha. When Mugen finished speaking Naka began laughing harder than before as he found the form of hypocritical behavior coming from the other ninja, but in an instant the humorous side left Naka only to show a complete serious demeanor. His eyes giving off the stone cold emotionless life that lived in Naka at this time, he began to speak in a very serious tone. "Sharingan is the true power behind being an Uchiha. And like all special powers obtaining is done in your own way, through meeting challenges. The sharingan is like our safety net." He closed his eyes and continued to speak, "The first safety net..." his eyes opened quickly and revealed the one tomoe sharingan, his eyes now crimson red showing the one tomoe he had "Now let's unlock your safety net!" Naka swung his hand forward at his max speed in an attempt to knock Mugen backwards then to strike him with his right hand across the face. Naka hoped Mugen understood he didn't wish to hurt Mugen but he couldn't know what would cause his eyes to be revealed.

Mugen was currently fighting himself, trying to resist the urge to punch the daylights out of Naka. He could be made fun of by anyone else, whether it be adults, teenager, or children even younger than he. However...he could not tolerate an Uchiha of all people mocking him, making him feel small with their laughter. He titled his body back into place and glowered at the younger student in front of him. Naka's laughter had abruptly ended and he immediately went back into business. It made Mugen wonder if he was bipolar somehow as he never knew someone could change their demeanor so quickly. He listened closely to what Naka was saying, about meeting challenges to obtain the sharingan. He did not know of these "challenges", but wished to hear more about them.

Mugen was soon on high alert the second he saw Naka close his eyes, as he knew what happened when an Uchiha shut them. The boy leaped back by another meter, wanting to get some distance away from Naka. The small gap between them was no longer one, but two meters. He watched as his opponent struck the place he used to be in and smirked as a response to the action.

"Fine! It's about time I showed you the difference in our power anyway!" he called out, determination now shining in his sapphire orbs. The boy immediately dashed towards Naka, now closing the space he created between them. He used his right foot to aim a kick for his opponent's face, but let his foot fly a centimeter in front of Naka's nose. Yes, this was intended to be bluff as to catch his enemy off guard for his true strike. Once his foot sailed by Naka's face, he would bring it downwards and immediately aim his heel for the Uchiha's side. This should hopefully send the younger child a foot or two to the right. If this was successful, then Mugen would send a punch for Naka's face before any counters could be made on him.
