Let it Rok...With Snowballs!

While other villages may have had weather similar to that of a desert, today in Yukigakure, it was snowing. Of course, it snowed all the time due to being in the tundra, but today was a special day. A smirk was evident on Mugen's face as his frame was hidden behind a large lump of snow. It was in what seemed to be a small fortress, circling around the child with a diameter of 3 meters. It's walls was at a height of 5 feet. The barrier was indeed a thick one and would take multiple blows to break down. Beside him lay a stack of already made snowballs, practically begging to be thrown at the first shinobi who dared to show themselves. That's exactly what the boy planned to do once he spotted a worthy opponent. The falling ice crystals blended in with the color of his hair but managed to pop out once on his nose. On his neck lied an actual scarf, yet on his torso was a blue turtle neck shirt with black basketball shorts being on his lower body.

He could feel the ankle deep snow on his exposed legs, forcing him to shiver every now and then. Mugen lifted his head above the his snow wall, going high enough for only his eyes to be visible. Sapphire orbs darted across the landscape their owner was in: a large area close to the training grounds, completely covered in snow. He slowly reached for one of the many snowballs he had, keeping a look out for anything that happened to appear. He had been waiting for a day like this for what seemed to be ages. The boy's eyes narrowed as his smirk grew larger. Yes, the perfect day to have a snowball fight, one that would go into the history books. Mugen had even spread the word in the academy, telling all the students to transfer the information to other people they knew. The boy now had a single snowball in his hand, keeping a good enough grip as to not drop it. He was ready...all that was left was to wait.

As Kaien was leaving the training ground after a long session with Kira she just wanted to go home shower and eat. As she looks around she see for a second two blueish things pop up and then disappear. Which has sparked an interest in the young girl. She stands their a moment debating if she should go check it out or just go home. Of course it was quick decision she still a curious child so she walks toward where she saw the blueish items. As she approaches closer she slows down and starts approaching more carefully not knowing what to expect.

He set his sights to one corner of the area, then to another until his eyes finally landed on the training grounds. Mugen could spot someone walking away from the grounds, but pausing upon looking his direction. Seems as if this would be Victim #1. It was obvious that the stranger was a female due to her features and her attire. Once she began to move towards him, apparently slowing down as she did so, he began to analyze the distance between them. From what he could tell it was approximately 4 meters, the perfect distance that he was able to throw from. After taking a mental photo of her position, he immediately ducked down and placed two more snowballs in his arms. The wall should have covered his actions meaning the stranger coming towards him would have no idea what he was planning.

Mugen slowly counted from 1 to 5 in his mind, waiting for the perfect moment for him to launch his assault. His heart was pounding and he was shaking in anticipation. A cool breeze arrived in the area, forcing him to slightly shiver from the cold. Upon finally reaching the number 5, the boy bolted upwards lifting his head fully above the snow wall. Not letting another moment pass by, he instantly shot a snowball in the girl's direction, aiming it directly for her face. Another snowball immediately followed up behind it, this one heading towards the girl's abdomen. Of course, she would take no damage if hit, but it would definitely result in Mugen gaining the lead in this game. After he had thrown the snowball, the boy hid behind his snow wall just in case the girl was going to perform a counter attack.

"And the fun begins..." he mumbled low enough for only himself to hear.

Kaien sees the snowballs coming and a smile from the person throwing them. He just wants to have fun so she ducked to the ground with the first one completely miss her then the second slightly grazing her hair. She darted forward with both her hands dinging into the snow to form a snow ball as she reached his wall she proceeded to jump over it with a somersault. As her body was completely upside down she would drop the snow ball on the unsuspecting victim. Or at least thats what she came up with in her mind. If that didnt work she would execute some academy jutsus to make it more interesting and fun.

As he stayed behind his wall, he could hear the sounds of something rushing through the snow, leading him to believe that the girl was coming back for her revenge. He quickly rolled forward, making it all the way to the other side of his fortress and watched as she performed a somersault over the wall. Fortunately, he hadn't stayed where he was, otherwise he would have to face getting a snowball thrown at his...face. However, he currently had the advantage for there was still an extra snowball in his clutches. Before the girl could land on the surface, the threw the snowball with all his strength, watching it head in the position she would most likely land in. Unless she was able to somehow make herself land in a different spot then she would get hit by the relatively small ball of snow.

Once he had thrown the snowball, Mugen quickly placed his hands behind his back and jumped to his feet. Since his hands were hidden from view he proceeded to form hand seals for the substitution jutsu. Tiger → Boar → Ox → Dog → Snake. This way, if a snowball were to come towards him he would be prepared to use the technique and come out of harm's way.

"Nice one. If I didn't hear you I would've been screwed..." he complimented the stranger, happy that she decided to play with him for a bit. To be honest, he didn't expect to spot his prey- not prey, he meant...yeah, he meant prey -so quickly. It was a bit more surprising to see them launching snowballs back at him. As he a spoke, a faint grin was evident on his features. Perhaps he would make a new friend after today...

As Kaien landed the snowball hit her right in the chest. Kaien hasn't had fun like this in a while she then begin to quietly laugh. She would have to remember to thank him for the good time. She then got her wits back. forming the hand seals Tiger Ox Dog Rabbit Snake she performed the wind release great breakthrough with a speed of 20 and a strength of 10 just enough to knock over one wall of the fortress. After she releases the jutsu she bends over to pick up some snow. Now holding a now a snowball in her hand she looks at what use to be left of the fortress with a playful grin.

Once he saw that the girl hadn't done anything when she was hit, he began put his hands back into view, deciding against substitution for now. Mugen's eyes slightly widened when he saw her starting to form her first hand seal: Tiger. This was his chance! Moving as quickly as he could, the boy scooped up a large amount of snow and formed it into a ball. By then, the "stranger" was already forming the Rabbit hand seal. He wasn't sure on what technique she was planning to use against him, but he would be quick to escape. Once she was on her last hand seal, which was the Snake, he leaped over the opposite wall of his fortress, landing in the soft snow outside. The youth immediately got onto his feet and roughly shook his head, ridding his hair of any snow that got onto it.

Once he looked at where his fortress stood, he couldn't believe his eyes. One of the walls...one he spent so much of his time on...was blown away by what seemed to be a gust of wind. Upon seeing the technique, he was positive that Kiru had used against him before. This girl was definitely dangerous, but that only made everything more entertaining for him. Half of his old fortress was torn apart due to the force of the jutsu she used, all of it now spread out in the white "fluff" on the ground. Mugen quickly bent down and scooped up some more snow, forming it into another snowball he could use. Due to his jump, he was now 3 meters away from where the girl was, meaning he would have to cross a good distance to get to her. His lips twitched as he slowly walked around the wall in between them, moving cautiously with each step he took. Soon he was finally back to where the fallen wall was located, now 2 meters away. Suddenly he spurted forward with a burst of speed, throwing a single snowball towards the left side of the girl's waist.

Most people would ultimately decide on moving to the right as a means to dodge, so Mugen would quickly aim his second snowball on the right side of her stomach the second she decided to move. On his trek towards her, once he was a single meter away, the boy scooped up more snow and quickly performed a parkour roll, prolonging the roll until he reached east of girl. He then swiftly got to his feet, the distance between them currently being 3 inches away from a meter. Without missing a beat, he aimed his final snowball for her head just in case she decided to jump. However, the little rolling stunt he pulled was definitely unnecessary, but he didn't care for he wanted to try it out at least once.

Kaien watches him as he surveys what use to be left of the fortress. She watches carefully as he picked up more snowballs. Then suddenly as he charged she smiled cause she would have done the same thing. The first two snowballs hit as expected. Once the last snowball was released she decided to perform a back hand spring timing it so the snowball passed right over her. Then threw hers aiming for his head. After she threw it she reached into her bag to pull out a pen and pad to write down. This was fun you are really skilled did you want to possible train some day. By the way my name is Kaien. She began walking towards him to hand him and once she was in distance she handed him the note with a very warming smile.

During the entire course of this interaction, a grin was kept firmly on Mugen's face. At the sight of his snowballs actually hitting their target, all he could do was make his grin widen. He never had such a fun day since...well, he never had such a fun day before. The youth rose an eyebrow at the way the girl dodged his last snowball. It was definitely a new sight to see, but that only made him want to try it himself. So, once she threw her own snowball towards him, he was prepared to attempt the same move she did. Before the snowball could reach him, Mugen quickly let himself swing into a sitting position. He then jumping a few inches off the ground, arching his back as he did so. With a victorious smile, he watched as the snowball pass by his body in just the nick of time. Once it passed, his hands made impact with the ground and he went into a hand stand position.

After a small burst of strength he pushed off the surface before safely landing on his feet. To make it more comical Mugen threw his hands up into the air and made a mini pose, the sun making his pearly whites sparkle. He let his arms dangle at his sides once the girl began to make her way towards him, causing him to raise both eyebrows this time around. Once she was close enough, she had handed him a notepad for some reason. He curiously took the item and proceeded to read what was written. The youth's eyes quickly scanned the paper and once he finished a light pink dusted his cheeks.

"Ah, th-thank you!" he stammered out, not yet used to such compliments, "But you were really extraordinary out there! I mean, that jutsu was pretty cool...and sure, training with you would be fun! Oh, and my name is Mugen." As he spoke he felt as if he was babbling, which didn't happen too often. He could feel his cheeks growing redder by the second, which left him feeling embarrassed as well. Within second his face turned into the shade of a tomato.

Kaien smiled back and wrote down hi Mugen. What are you doing after this? She looked at the sky seeing it was still daylight out. Did you want to continue she wrote down and would hand it to Mugen if he wasnt doing anything. She smiled because she might have made a new friend which she thought was awesome. Her stomach started growling and she blushed because of it she decided to go home and make her something to eat. She wrote down on another sheet if he was hungry if so she could make him a bento and bring it to him when she got back.
