the student chose the master [nk io Yaju Blues]
Sun Jun 08, 2014 5:30 pm
The event the other day never really got out of Angel's mind. The giant wolf they were sent after turned out to be actually a high ranking ninja of the village. He had offered her a recommendation for advancement for her participation in a high ranked mission. None of that mattered to her though. He had been so powerful and able to change into a fearsome beast. That kind of power would intimidate anyone, but angel had looked directly into his eyes. She never did that. Angel mad a point to avert her gaze from everyone with her hood to block those who got curious. But she had looked into the depth of the animals eyes and didn't see feral eyes of a monster, she saw the wisdom of a master. That is what she couldn't get out of her head. She hoped that she would be able to meet him and that maybe he would teach her what he knew. Angel curled her toes in the dirt. she like not wearing shoes. she rarely did. only when to was to cold out to not wear them did she begrudgingly don the hateful little things. what she did constantly wear though was the hooded coat that almost pointed out her Aburame heritage. Angel sighed. "Yeah right what would he care about you?" she was still thinking of the man she had met the other day. Angel sighed again looking toward the gates of the academy. She was here to walk her friend's little brother home from school. she had only seen the kid a couple times in passing. She had never talked to him. But she was doing this as a favor because her friend couldn't make it today. Ugh why was everything so complicated? She looked back up at the sky and the branches of the tree she sat under.

The Academy of the village of Kumogakure a prestigious institute which accepts many Orphans who otherwise would fade into obscurity into the Shinobi program. Some criticize this as taking advantage of young minds, but they don't seem to realize how most Orphans feel, how unimportant and lonely they can be..The Shinobi program and the academy allows one not only to train for the prestigious career of being a Shinobi, but being a Shinobi while high risk..Is also incredibly rewarding for those with the strength to make it through...Strength that can be earned if one trains and tries and pushes past there limits.
In the world of Shinobi, hard work beats talent, every time..
It's quite lucky for this particular Shinobi in training, in his final year of the academy, is quite talented and also trains very hard in order to achieve his dream..
Becoming the Raikage, leading a village...
It is only in the Shinobi system, that an Orphan with no last name, can enter such a prestigious role...With his boon, his special ability, he'll definitely do his best.
Sitting far off in the back corner, a boy sits away from his classmates a hood over his head and a gasmask over his lower face..with a pair of thick yellow goggles over his eyes. White tufts of spiked hair poke out from the front of the hood, his head is aimed downwards towards the desk as he reads the final paper exam he must take before he must take the Genin exam...He's a bit nervous, as is normal for an Academy Student about to take the most important test of there life...
That is until there Genin anyway...
The test takes him but twenty minutes to complete and turn in, ten minutes later the class is dismissed and while others rush out, he slowly packs his things away and undoes his gasmask, then strangely enough to observers, a long clean nail is produced and the tip is stuck in the front of his mouth, the round cap at the end swirling around as he softly chews on the sharpened tip...
Of course there's a reason for this, but most outside observers would simply view this as strange..
As the woman arrives, the Orphan begins to walk past and his gaze flicks towards her, or rather the Headband on her person...
A Shinobi from the village outside the academy, the sight causes him to pause in curiosity..A lot of Shinobi run in and around the academy, but to see one just standing outside is a rare sight...
He kind of wants to introduce himself, but what would he say right off the bat?
Hi? Is she waiting for someone?? What if she mistakes him for who she's waiting for and he just gets her angry? What if she thinks he's creepy? It wouldn't be the first time considering what he wears, but he likes it, they make him feel more confident! It's not his fault that..-
The boys thoughts continue like this as he simply stands at the gates staring towards the shops with a neutral expression on his face, merely standing...To the outside observer he might be waiting for someone or something.

There had been something about the past days that had him thinking about what he could do to make this village better than protecting it with his own two hands..The students he had molded to fight and protect this great village have all but disappeared without a trace leaving the defenses a little loose, but it wasn't anything ANBU couldn't fix. It was times like these that made him wonder just why he did not openly create a new cell of ninja and hope they would at least take on the mantel of protecting this village.
Yaju had been walking around the village for an unknown amount of time debating and thinking on this issue that had been puzzling him for the longest without any reprieve. His mind then went to the ninja that had took the mission of catching the black beast yesterday which had made him pause for a moment as he looked back to the girl who had used the meat to catch him. A quick smile would light up on his face for a moment before continuing on his stroll, his body taking him closer and closer to the academy.
Wearing a grey Haori which covered his black shirt and stopped at his knees, black pants and his old Kumo head band on his left shoulder; he would slowly come to a stop near the entrance of the Academy where a couple of good memories had shown themselves but the rest were simply things he did not want to remember. As he thought about walking into the academy itself he stopped to look at someone in particular....someone that he had seen during the mission yesterday. Slowly he would walk over to her before stopping to her left and kneeling down," So what are you here for?," he wouldn't openly introduce himself hoping that she would either remember who he was or maybe the feeling he gave out. His Lavender eyes would continue to search around for anyone else in the general area, knowing that eventually someone from this academy would be on his team soon.

Angel sat almost drifting to sleep as the cicadas chirped, drifting into the sounds of summer. A cool breeze drifted along wakening her a little. She knew that school would soon be out. She though did not have a mission today and therefore had nowhere better to be. She had worked hard training yesterday as well and today was her light day. She had only trained till noon as she would relax for the rest of the day. Angel felt sleep tempt her againso she went over to a nearby store to pick up a beverage to drink. She soon returned to her spot as the school let out and the kids drifted here and there.
Soon the crowd thinned and dispersed. Angel knew the person she was waiting for had after school activities and wouldn’t be out right away so she waited a little longer. She noticed one boy standing by the gates. He was holding a gas mask and chewing on what looked like a 3 inch wood nail. It was similar to ones she used regularly. His eyes were covered by yellow goggles but what drew her attention was the fact he wore a hood like her. It wasn’t that big of a deal but it was something noteworthy.
A chill went down Angel’s back. Something thrilling in the air reminded her of something. Something important. It came from the direction of a man walking toward her. His shoes and pants were nondescript and she slowly raised her head as he approached. His Haori was familiar. The man continued until he was right next to her. When he asked her what she was there for, she almost gasped. The voice. She lifted her hood and looked into his eyes. It was his eyes. The same eyes as the Wolf and the man she was just thinking about. Had he known she was just thinking about him?
It took Angel a moment to form a reply. “I’m helping a student home.” Now that she thought about it had been a long time since school had let out. One of the instructors began closing up the school and Angel stopped her to ask about the after school activity and whether the student she was looking for was still there. This happened to take place right next to the boy with the mask. It turned out Angel had been scatter brained and the day was not until tomorrow that she needed to be here. “Hmm…I could have sworn it was today.” She said aloud to herself after the teacher had left.
“Looks like I got my days mixed up.” She said to the man with the Lavender eyes. “So I guess I have no reason to be here now. But I need to ask you…You surprised me the other day.” Angel said realizing that it wasn’t a question. She paused making her question clear in her mind so that she could ask it with conviction. “Will you teach me? I need to become stronger.” The statement was so cliché Angel paused to try rewording it again. She turned half away for a moment. There was no easy way to put it so instead of correcting herself she just waited for a response.

Another man approaches the scenic gates of the Academy, causing the chewing of the nail to increase in intensity as he becomes a bit more uncomfortable with speaking, there obviously meeting each other here, but he's told from rumors and from Genin who have graduated a year above him that Teachers are hard to come across..He can't reach his goals without a teacher and those who don't act might as well be dead. But he still has trouble finding out what to say, he looks a bit more troubled after a few moments and thoughts racing through his head from his slight social anxiety he finally says something. "Titanium alloy is considered the strongest metal, it has a high tensile strength at high temperatures and is incredibly lightweight." He blurts out before pausing in his chewing his eyes wide as his face begins to burn red and he slowly continues chewing the nail inside is mouth a crack heard as he begins to absorb the piece of steel mixed with some carbon components.
And he blew it, of course he did, maybe he should take Takanara-Sensei up on those speech classes and social exercises?? He could benefit greatly from-
His thoughts once again go into overdrive as he slowly chews on the nail, staring forward at the shops again whilst his mind races and his heart pounds..
Social anxiety is one of the boys biggest faults, he has a keen mind for facts and tactics in combat but has very little in the way of actual social skills...Kind of a bummer for him...
If this were a cartoon steam would most definitely be flying out of his ears.

For a moment he would stand there and look at the girl not only scanning her over with his physical eyes, but using the secret of his Doujutsu would he be granted a clear view of her. With a brief smile he would think to himself," Another Aburame has graced the village...interesting," although this was the second Aburame that he had met he did not know exactly what this clan could do outside of controlling small bugs. Of course his smile would continue as he listened to her and nodded," I see...so did you have fun on the mission yesterday?," not many people knew that he could transform himself, or of course of his abilities but it was fun having a new challenge for the growing ninja of this village.
For a moment he would question why she was still here if the student she was waiting for had been gone, but maybe it was simply of duty or maybe because of a promise that she had waited here but in the end this meeting would benefit her and him. A brief pause would come between the two of them as she asked him to train her so that she could become strong, which at first wasn't too bad of a question but...it was the first time in a while that someone had asked him to train them. With a small scratch of his head he would briefly chuckle before responding," Well there's a first in a long time...there was something about you that i found interesting during the mission and given the fact that i haven't had a student in ages and i'm pretty much free...," he paused for a moment due to the steps of someone coming closer to the two of them.
At first he wouldn't quite pay attention to the sound of footsteps unless they were hostile, but the additional sound that had came from the body of the person made him especially curious warranting him to turn around and face the academy student. After the boy had finished speaking he would take in his words fully before scratching his head and smiling," So you know quite a bit about metals right? Are you aiming to be a ninja that specializes in weaponry or do you just like weapons in general?," pausing for a moment he would come to the realization that he did not introduce himself to neither of them.
Looking at both of them for a moment he would finally introduce himself," Before i forget my name is Yaju, Currently ranked at Master and right hand to our current Raikage. So you wanted a teacher correct? And you, what do you seek by becoming a ninja? ," the second question was directed at the young boy who currently had his attention, while the first would simply be an invitation to whomever had wanted a teacher.

Angel waited for the man to answer. She felt the way she had asked was foolish. But the mission she had done the day before she had played a major part in resolving. She hoped that that would prove favorable to her request. She had had fun but she more reflected on what she learned than how enjoyablt the activity had been. Regardless of which she remained quiet while it looked like he was thinking. She didn’t want to say something else that might change his mind. He responded say that he hadn’t in a long time and that he had time to do it. Angel was so happy she could have jumped out of her skin. But the moment was dashed by the interruption of the boy who she had seen by the gate.
The boy had commented something about metals and their properties. She knew enough about metal from school but what he was saying made absolutely no sense to bring up in the middle of no where. And she had been correct the kid was chewing on a nail…that made her a little uncomfortable. Yaju turned to the boy and struck up a conversation and Angel felt that the whole moment had just shattered in front of her. Was he going to train her? Was this kid who had an obscene knowledge of metal going to sweep the tall ninja away from her.
Angel’s mind went a mile a minute as an image of the boy running away with her chance to be trained by this man. Her attention snapped back though as Yaju introduced himself as a Master ranked ninja. Angel would have fainted if she were a lady of low constitution. Gladly that was not the case. She had met an honest to god Ninja Master. He asked her if she had wanted a teacher and she couldn’t think of anything she wanted more.

The boy still embarrassed from his outburst merely blushes when he's addressed and replies quietly "It's part of my Kekkai Genkai.." He says barely above a whisper, his voice quiet from both embarrassment and lack of use his embarrassment is still present, but he does turn and boy respectively towards what will be a superior officer when he graduates.
His frame straightens and all traces of embarrassment vanish, his next set of words spoken clearly "I will be Raikage one day so I can protect this village." He states not confidently, but in a tone filled with conviction, the steel nail is absorbed into the boys skin a moment later.
An orphan born and raised in this village, this is his only home and his pledge to be a Shinobi will be his first step and first choice and when the time comes he will not hesitate and he will not falter, he will be a proud Shinobi of Kumogakure and will work until he finally achieves his dream..
Steel, Bronze, Titanium, Carbon, Iron, Lead and even Copper, Metal will be his ally in this endeavor, his conviction is clear and his will is of Iron and Steel.
He knows metal intricately, the element and him share a special connection..A very special connection.

Another one with a strange yet interesting Kekkai Genkai had appeared in the village, but as he was now he had alot of growing to do and luckily he would be able to teach the boy what he could so that he could grow. With a smile he would walk forward three meters before looking to the two ninja in front of him," Well then...one wants to become Raikage to protect his village and the other wants to become stronger," for a moment he would think this over carefully before making a decision that would most likely cause these two to immerse themselves into a world in which they would gladly think him for later.
With a smile he would chuckle and scratch the black strands upon his head," Well then if i am going to teach the both of you, i am going to need something to go off of, especially for one's as special as you. First mind giving me your names? I'd hate to begin a lesson with no names," after the two of them had given him their names he would nod in silence. Turning to Blues first he would smile and nod," Your goal is a very high one which you will get to eventually after a couple of years, but i have no doubt that you will succeed to make this village better than the Kage that comes before you and after," giving the boy a little pep talk he would turn to Angel and place his hands onto her head for a moment.
Without saying much he would pull his hand back and chuckle not because of what he found, but what he thought to be a good start for her," and as for you dear Angel...if strength is what you are after to further yourself, then you have found the right teacher. Although i want to see how far your tactics go. From now on i will be teaching the both of you, nurturing you both into something better than a shinobi," smiling he would turn around and motion for the two of them to follow," I am going to make you two into the finest ninja in this village."
Yaju would lead the two of them towards the training grounds where he would stretch for a bit and put on a unique pair of gauntlets and sit down on the ground," Alright you two get stretched out and prepared, we are going to have a little spar so that i can get a feel of your technique's and power beforehand so that the training i give the both of you is beneficial for your development," for now he would wait for the two of them to get ready before starting.

Angel listened to the inspiring words of her new master. He was nice and seemed truely interested in her and the other guy. When he asked for their names Angel replied with hers. Yaju-sama encouraged the boy that he would make a great Kage. And it sounded nice that Yaju would encourage Her new...I guess teammate. But Angel wanted to be the kage too...she just didn't say it. She wasn't one to talk too much or even enough. But she would train hard to prove her worth.
Yaju signaled them to follow and follow Angel did. she would follow him until he was proud of her and until he decided that she knew enough to part ways. upon reaching the training field yaju stretched for exercise so that's what Angel did as well. She prepared herself for what she was sure was going to leave her sore.
