Building Anger [solo]
Fri Jun 20, 2014 11:29 pm
Angel woke the next day knowing the only thing she would be doing that was putting together her puppet. She had dreamt of the puppet the night before. What the puppet meant and what it was there for. Angel had finely crafted the specific Puppets for the purposes of filling the gap of what she was incapable of. It wasn’t that she was incapable at it but that she simply couldn’t apply the emotions. However the emotions were something that would be beneficial to inspire in her enemies. This was Anger. Anger was a feeling Angel kept hidden away from the world. She had no use for it. Anger just wasn’t helpful it caused mistakes. But that was all on a deeper level. What she wanted was a group of puppets that imtimidates her opponents. Anger was a big ole beast. Towering over her opponents with the muscles to throw a car like it was a marble. Anger would have the ability to strike fear into her opponent and would grant her the ability to do what she wasn’t able. She would be able to fight while using her skills. And she would outlast any opponent who stood before her while she rode in the Anger puppet. Angel smiled quietly to herself. She was really cocky when she wasn’t in an actual battle. She recalled the battle she had fought against Alice. It had been a terrifying experience for her. And even though Alice had said she was from the village. Angel had not seen her since. But on that Day angel had been truly scared. Outside of fighting Angel could talk the talk but when it came down to walking the walk angel just didn’t have enough experience. She had even asked the Raikage for a promotion. But now angel just thought maybe she wasn’t ready…She was building a puppet that was going to protect her even more. Her battle strategy was to put so many walls up between her and the enemy that her enemy would get tiered way before she had to fight them. It was a battle of attrition. The winter war. The battle of waiting. She didn’t have to win the fight she just had to wait till they give up. Anger was to be designed with the most advance defensive measures Angel knew of. So he should be able to stand up to a beating If angel ever actually began building him. She pushed herself out of bed and took a shower. At least she was moving now, but her head was still lost in the clouds. Well the plans for her puppet at least. After breakfast she got to work setting up the shed she would start working in in the back yard. She deliberately made it much bigger to accommodate all sorts of puppet designs. One day she would be known as the Clouds puppet master: Angel of 1000 puppets. And this dinky shack will be a great workshop devoted to the construction of countless puppets by many Puppeteers. And people from around the many ninja nations will come to learn her techniques. Angel kept getting sidetracked. The Shed was almost finished. After furnishing the shed Angel brought the puppet parts in and lay them in accessible places. But before doing that angel did a simple waterproofing test of the roof. Using water style chakra Angel created a simulation of rain over her shed and made sure the interior stayed dry. That was the important thing that she had to make sure of on this puppet work shop was that it stayed dry. If her puupets got wet they would rot or rust depending on what they were made of. Moisture in general tended to break down and ruin mechanical parts. Once Angel approved of the structure she got to work.

With her puppet parts scattered around she smiled. “You know what to do boys.” Releasing her insect horde she had them gather pieces. It was simple putting the parts together with her insects and her chakra strings. Scattering her threads she assembled a leg first. She normally didn’t assemble the legs first. But this time she would have to devote the majority of her resources on the legs. Most people don’t realize that a puppet walking around is actually merely a disguise. As much as any action that a puppet makes. Puppets are supported by the chakra threads of the puupet master. A puppet weighs nothing and can fly if it needs to. There for the legs on a puppet for the most part are there as a functional redundancy and as stated earlier, illusion. Angel however had to focus on the legs of this puppet because from inside the puppet she would be unable to support the puppet on the ground. It would literally have to stand on it’s own two feet. Not only that it would have to support the weight of Angel and the rest of the puppet’s body. While moving just like a person. And because of this angel couldn’t give the puppet much leeway when it came to the design. She would have to build the puppet just like a human that way the stresses of movement would not make the excess joints buckle under the strain. Luckily Angel had built a puppet just like a human body. Grisily in fact exactly like Angel in fact. This would be similar except for the fact that it was not going to simulate angels body and therefor didn’t need to look or act exactly like her. And the facial features didn’t need to be anything other than the mask of rage that she had purchased from the store. And she wouldn’t make this puppet bleed or have a pulse. It was pointless to do that being she was never going to try and pass this puppet of as her. That being said she gave up a lot but not the functions of the mucles joints ligaments or skin. All of it would be built similarly to Kairi on on a uch larger size. Using her threads she constructed the skeletal frame of the first leg and then the second. Forming the legs out of the hardened metal alloy rods she had acquired from the town the day before. The difference from this puppet to most other puppets was the fact that this puppet was built from the inside out. It didn’t have the strong outer casing it had a strong skeleton and a powerful muscules and dense but flexible skin. All of it operated by system of wires and pistons controlled from the cockpit which she would design last. Once she got the skeletal structure of the legs down she began on the arms picking pieces up with her threads and insects setting them in perfect positions to allow the correct movements to occur. Once the bones were in place angel attached the joints and connected the limbs all together. Luckily this puppet would not have machinery in it’s arms or legs like Kairi did however the wiring and the joints were powered by strong motors and pistons and would require much thicker cables that Kairi required to move and supply energy to the motors.

After constructing the skeleton Angel had to install the motors and pumps into the limbs and connect power lines to those implements. This would augment her strength converting the puppets strength into amazing physical power. As Angel worked her wrench her mind went back to when she had built Kairi like this. Now that she thought about it the project had been incredibly dangerous. If one thing had gone wrong the entire puppet and not to mention Angel’s life could have been ended. But the project though the odds were against her went surprisingly well. Angel had become quite good at building these puppets. The key was to use the kekaichu to quadruple check all the specs on the puppet before testing anything…then having the insects check some more. It was tedious and it probably set Angel back several days but she had never had a puppet malfunction her puppets worked at peak condition. Though she made a mental note that Denial could probably be a tune up being he hadn’t had the benefit of the talent that she had developed over the several puppets. She would take a look at him soon. Once all the parts were connected Angel ‘s next step was to attach cable ligaments to the mavvive limb segments. She failed to take into account how tedious it was when building suck an enormous puppet. Denial had been a pain but he wasn’t nearly as bulky as Anger. Kairi had been extremely easy on that front as Kairi was her exact measurements. However Angel supposed that that had caused her trouble. It had taken forever to measure and cut then measure and cut. Truth be told her easiest puppet she felt had been denial. But this puppet had limbs as long as she was. Also just as big around as she was. This thing was going to be able to deal out massive hurt.when she was done wrapping the bones in wires and cables she reinforced the connecting in Kevlar mesh. Toughest material she could find. It was stretchy but when force was applied to it in a centralized location the fibers twisted taught and would shield the specific area that the blow came from. It was incredibly woven by ninja weaver of the north honing their craft in the great northern ice flats. The “muscles” of the puppet were made of tubes of it. But in this puppet she was actually thinking of using it as skin as well. The color was a bit off but the green might even be intimidating. Once she had the limbs all set she decided it was time to work on the cockpit.
The form of the cock pit was going to take was the monsters torso. It was wide enough and almost tall enough to stand in. Well at least in her design…then again she had found over the past several puppets she had designed that she rarely changed the design between the drawing board and implementation. Bulding the basic structure angel knew that she was going to need to get in and out of the puppet at a moment’s notice but at the same time she simply could not sacrifice the integrity of the puppet. So Angel decided to build the torso as a structured arc that looked a lot like a thick doorway. Cause that is exactly what it was going to be. The torso would have 2 doors one on the chest and only in the case of an emergency there was also a door on the back of the puppet. However if the Legs were the more steady and secure these doors placed as a tie for second. These doors would be more secure than even the rest of the puppet around it. With several locking machanisms and many reinforcing bar locks the door would only open if it was ripped off or if Angel’s chakra thread told it to. The back hatchway was even more secure as it was not even supposed to open unless it was truly needed to. Now inside the puppet’s chest really weren’t any controls or anything. The puppet was built to only be run by Angel. Even other puppeteers would have trouble operating it from the inside just because of Angel’s petite figure. While in the puppet angel would be suspended by her chakra threads much like how any puppet would be when she used the puppets normally. Her legs would have to be slightly bent with plenty of room to move her arms about. While suspended like that it was much like objects in jello. Though the jello moves around the objects are unharmed. The threads would brace her against the shock of the massive puppet moving around. The front doors where the specialty on this puppet. Angel had the idea from a friend that she had chatted with in town.

Daren was her friend from the Academy. He had gone on to be an enforcer in the police academy. Though it was more background than Angel wanted to be the force was definitely a needed position in the Village. The police force delt with lowlife bandits or what not usually to low in the chain to be held by the prison. Usually drunk and disorderly folks or what not. But at the same time there were a lot of people that performed actual crime in the village. So the police usually deal with them. One day Daren and Angel had been getting a frozen yogurt in town when he asked her out of no where if she had ever thought of building a puppet that she herself could ride it. There were many designs that were known to be useful for transporting or capturing prisoners but had she ever thought of building one that she could ride in. she had thought about it before but she had not yet started designing a model so she went along and asked what he meant. He said “well if you’re going to ride in the puppet how are you going to see out of it? I mean you could put your head up inside the head of the puppet like a helmet but that leaves your neck out there to get chopped. You need to be able to keep you head down but still be able to see out the puppet.” Angel hadn’t thought about that yet but it made sense. “You know how I’d do it?” Daren said, “I’d use one way reinforced glass like they got up at the station for interigating criminals.” Angel never forgot what he had said, nor the way he said it but that wasn’t the point. For being a brilliant ninja and even able to be a genius when it comes to helping her with puppets he had the most god awful way of talking. But Angel had the answer and that was all that mattered. Angel constructed tall the main panels of the puppet out of the one way reinforced glass allowing her to look out in every direction but to others it would just look like the chest. She had to do some fancy sculpting to make it’s chest look muscular. It didn’t realy matter but Angel was picky about her puppet. Now all she had to do was to connect up the limbs and skin the puppet. And of course mount and connect the head. The skin was fairly easy. It was harder to cut than the skin that Kairi had used but the attachment to the body worked in a much similar way. Skinning the arms and legs Angels made sure her insects did a last minute check because she would need to be extra sure since she had to actually be inside the puppet when she tested it. It would be terrible if the puppet malfunctioned then.
Angel grabbed the last piece the head it was pretty much already formed and everything. She just needed to mount the mask. Grabbing her art supplies she would need to glue on the wig, she went about skinning the head with the faces one it. She had simply glued it to the head. After the “skin” was attached Angel took a torch and heated the “skin” this made it contract and fuse the two into one piece. Using her supplies she grabbed a raggedy wig not caring much about the style and glued it on. The wig was short and shaggy and to angel it made her puppet look like an unkempt monster. She now had all the parts. Connecting the head to the shoulders angel pointed her hand toward the still open chest panel and let her threads wind their way into the various limbs. Focusing she gave a hard yank, pulling allthe limbs and joints and head into their slots and fusing the tightly together. She had finished yet another master piece. Allowing herself to be lifted by the threads she settled into the cockpit and closed the door. Using only her chakra she sat up and then stood up. Luckily she had though far enough ahead to make the roof tall and the doors wide. Angel practiced moving her new massive body. It was nothing like moving herself, because all the motions were controlled by the movements of her fingers. She stepped outside and smiled. She first stretched out the arms and legs and joints and crouched low to the ground focusing everything into the motors and pistons in her legs she leaped surprisingly enough all the way out of the village.
