Mission to Taki Empty Mission to Taki

Sat Aug 02, 2014 4:04 am
Now that everyone had assembled, Daiyuki was ready to make the trip. “Guys let us move swift and fast.” Daiyuki would say. Daiyuki would explain their traveling formation. “Me and Shiroi will lead the front, Kaien please travel out far left, Kuro please stay far right, Lazuru and Mugen bring up the rear.” He had knew clue what specialties the genin possessed but he knew this tight knit formation would provide a good spacing just incase they happen to be ambushed.

Daiyuki felt uneasy leaving the villager without a shinobi to lead or guard them so he would command the woman Charlotte to remain behind. The trek outside the gates into the Yukigakure border would be a hellish adventure. However the tundra was his homeland so Daiyuki knew the fastest route to avoid traps and Shiroi would be able keep them out of the path of other wildlife.

Daiyuki would travel using the four legs technique. The technique itself allowed him to harness the charka throughout his body mainly in arms and legs; he would use this harnessed charka to propel himself through the thick snow. The map Kiru had given was vividly instilled his mind so making mistakes and getting lost wouldn’t happen. Daiyuki would have led his team deep into the tundra by this time. The wind in the tundra would be ripping, it would mark that they were to the edge of the boarder the snow country. The landscape instantly had begun to change; it would be like going from dark to light in an instant. The snow on the ground seemed to vanish, the air seemed thinner and the environment went from barren tundra to a thick cornucopia of vegetation.

Daiyuki drifted in thought, his mind wondered who this Echo person was. The thought made a little uneasy navigating through the jungle. The map provided Daiyuki and his genin with a direct route to Takigakure however the new scenery still proposed it wonders and hidden threats.

The instant thought in mind as he neared what seemed to be a gigantic waterfall and a dead end would be he hoped that he hadn’t gotten the team lost. Daiyuki would stop momentarily to examine the map. Daiyuki would follow the path on the map, which led them past many obstacles.   Daiyuki  hoped he followed the map correctly as the neared yet another waterfall, He desperately hope they would not be late.

Mission to Taki Empty Re: Mission to Taki

Sat Aug 02, 2014 10:23 am
Kuro happily caught the lollipop that was tossed to him and grinned. Sweets were the best! "All right Mugen! Coming in with the treats to get us started!" Kuro unwrapped the ball of sweet on a stick and popped it into his mouth. He sighed happily as he tasted the sugary goodness and held the stick with his teeth. He reached into his coat pocket before everyone started running off and tossed a bit of jerky to Shiroi. He liked getting along well with the wolf and who knows, maybe one day it would save his life or something! Daiyuki might also like how nice Kuro was to his companion and being friends with him couldn't hurt either. Heck, Kuro would be friends with everybody if he could manage it! That could wait though, it was time to go!
Kuro crouched down and stretched his legs out a little bit before he would get started running. He took a deep breath and dashed off after everyone through the snow. The snowstorm was building up, making it harder for Kuro to see very far ahead. Best to keep close to everyone as he could, he didn't want to get lost or left behind after all!
He closed his eyes for a moment and listened to the quiet foot steps. He could feel the snow strain and compress under his feet as he ran and left light footprints that would soon be covered up by the snow falling around him. He felt at peace as he ran. Of course, it was as soon as he was feeling at peace that he tripped over a rock and stumbled a bit. "Gah, crap, ahh!" He clumsily tried to regain his balance, his running momentum making his body want to keep going on while his feet struggled to take a proper step. He flailed his arms slightly in a windmill fashion and managed to right himself, though he'd slowed down a bit. He grumbled to himself and sincerly hoped no one else saw that. He'd rather not have people calling him Stumbles or some stupid nickname like that. It would just be irritating and he'd have to bake like, three cakes to get people to forget about it!

After some time had passed, the snow began to dwindle. The storm passed and the green of plants began to show. Kuro's eyes brightened with excitement as he watched the world change. He saw more birds in the sky than he'd ever seen in his life. Twelve birds! All grouped together! They weren't even that small! He grinned as he looked around at all the new life. It was great! There was so much around and he didn't feel like he was going to freeze! Then he saw something even better. Flowers! Real flowers! They were so many colors! It was great! He almost stopped to pick some, but remembered that he was on a mission. No time for flower picking. He had to focus on getting to the village along with everybody else. He shook the distraction out of his head and popped some jerky into his mouth, having long discarded the lollipop stick while he travelled. He wasn't going to stop until they reached the village! It was precisely at this exact moment of making this dedicated decision that he realized he really, really, really needed to pee. "Body, why do you hate me? I give you everything you want. This is how you repay me? You suck... but I still love you." Kuro sighed and looked around, finally finding a suitable bush to stop behind and relieve himself. After taking care of his buisness he hurriedly zipped his pants back up and returned to travelling.

What was just some fresh green land quickly became a huge dense jungle. The trees larger than any he had ever seen before, actually making them easier to not run into. Kuro looked around a bit as he thought to himself. In the snow he might freeze, but these tree roots were so big he might get sucked up by them! He didn't imagaine that would be too pleasant but... it did make him think. What if he could use that? Travel through the tree roots? Was it possible for him to do that? He would have to try, he supposed. At a later date of course, he still had to keep going so he didn't slow down the group for now! Then Kuro saw something truly awesome for someone like him. A waterfall. A huge flowing, not frozen, source of water. He could almost feel himself crying inside from the sheer beauty of it. Oh, what it would be like to merge with THAT! He could do so much! This still wasn't the time for that though! He closed his eyes and scratched his head rapidly, messing up his hair more than normal. Damn this mission to get to Takigakure! He wanted the waterfall! The big friendly and awesomly powerful waterfall! He almost whimpered as he forced himself to keep moving and shoved a piece of bread in his mouth to quiet himself. Just keep following Daiyuki. Follow the dog to the village of this incredibly magical place.

Kuro stopped only once more on his journey. This time it really wasn't his fault at all. Honestly. A very large snake showed up out of nowhere. It wasn't Kuro's fault it landed on him. It wasn't his fault the snake seemed to either really like him or wanted to try and crush him to death. Kuro had to quickly liquefy to escape the large snake's grip and avoid it's possibly venomous fangs. He quickly slid several yards away from it before reforming. His knowledge of snakes being incredibly limited, Kuro really hoped the jungle wasn't full of them. He also hoped that he didn't run into that snake again. He didn't know if snakes would track down their prey, or if they had a good memory. He just didn't want it jumping on him again. For something so smooth and relativly light looking, that thing was really freaking heavy. Kuro couldn't help shivering and glancing up at the trees as he travelled the rest of the way.

Mission to Taki Empty Re: Mission to Taki

Mugen paid close attention when Daiyuki explained their formation during travel. He nodded in confirmation before taking several steps back, now standing behind the group. After all, that was supposed to be his position. He took a single glance back at the village, and allowed a small smile to appear on his face. Who knew how long they would be gone for...who knew what could happen on their way to Takigakure. Hopefully he'll be able to come back home just fine. He took in a deep breathe once he saw Daiyuki and Kuro take off. It was time for him to move as well. The boy quickly followed them, moving forward at full speed. He made sure to keep his skateboard in a comfortable place for this long journey. It wouldn't be nice if it was stabbing his side while he was running, not nice at all. Even if he wasn't sure that skateboards could stab people, he didn't want to find out.

As he ate his lollipop, he could feel the snow hitting his face, his arms, his legs, anywhere that had his pale skin showing. Despite the snow stinging his skin, it didn't take long for him to get used to the pain. He had done it before anyway, when he first traveled to Yukigakure. Though, Mugen didn't exactly recall a blizzard in his way, just heavy snowfall. This was definitely different. Hell, he could barely even see the others. He tried to stay close to the group so he wouldn't get lost in the Tundra, and it wasn't too hard to do so. However, he had the sudden urge to activate his dojutsu. Everything would be easier if he did...but no. He couldn't, not without everyone else noticing. Nope, he didn't want that to happen, not one bit. Mugen frowned once the sugary treat in his mouth was gone. With a small sigh, he threw the leftover stick to the side and focused on moving forward.

Once they reached the edge borders, he could spot the immediately change in weather...and temperature. He coughed a bit and was forced to cover his nose from the sudden shift. If he didn't there would definitely be blood coming out his nose. Mugen could actually see grass and plants, something he hadn't spotted in quite a while. In fact, he doesn't think he'd ever seen so much greenery. After he uncovered his nose, a large smile was clear on his features. That was when they arrived at a waterfall, a waterfall! The boy took on a look of awe, for he had never seen one before. Perhaps he would be allowed to come back and just take some time to observe it. However, he had to focus on getting to their destination right now. He was about to do that too, if it wasn't for the large snake that tried to squeeze the life out of Kuro.

Mugen was prepared to knock the shit out of it, but refrained from doing so. He almost forgot that Kuro was made of water. He could merely liquify himself and escape. So, once he saw the fellow genin turn into water, he nodded in satisfaction and proceeded to follow Daiyuki. Wow, once again they came near another waterfall. This place must have been filled with them. He guessed that's why Takigakure was "the village hidden in the waterfall." Or something like that...the youth could really care less. While popping another lollipop into his mouth, Mugen merely continued to follow his group on their path Taki.

Mission to Taki Empty Re: Mission to Taki

Kaien sighed as she heard the orders from Diayuki she also accepted the gift from Mugen. As she went to her position on the left she looked back at the village and sheded a tear. She was excited because she was finally leaving the village to explore some of the world. At the same time she hoped her mother would be there when she got back to great her. The thought also passed her mind that she might see her along the way she knew that possibility was slim at best but there was still a chance of it happening. Before she knew it everybody else had started out on their journey. Kaien was moving close to full speed until everybody else sped up which made her move at her full speed to keep up with Daiyuki Mugen and the others. Kaien continued to look back at the village as it began to disappear in the blizzard.

She knew she had to focus on the others so she didnt break formation.  Not knowing what or better yet who was out there watching she kept moving her right hand on and off her sword. She hopped that wearing all white would by her some time if they where attack to strike a counter plus the addition of the hood helped keep the snow out of her hair but her face was a different story. At the beginning it bothered her continuing getting hit in the face but she eventually became use to the feeling. The feeling of the snow reminded her of the snow ball fight she had with Mugen. She wanted to ask him when they got back could they have round two since it was so much fun. Kaien wished she practiced some scorch jutsu's before coming it might have made her sight a little easier but she then realized after thinking that. That would also make her a bigger target she shook her head and kept moving with the group. She wondered how long the trip would be all she could see behind her was snow and a white background.

As the time continued to pass Kaien didnt know if it was her mind playing trick on her or not, but she thought she saw a change in sceanary in the distance. As she wiped her eyes she did see a lushes green environment. She quickly raised her left hand to pull her hood back so when they got there she could enjoy the warm weather. Not knowing being caught in the sight in front of her she slowed down so she could enjoy it for a little bit longer. As they got closer Kaien felt like she could smell the difference in the air. It was still a little ways away but the freshness blended perfectly with the snow she thought it was one of the most beautiful things she has ever laid her eyes on. Kaien knew it was the home stretch so she continued her full on sprint hoping to get there soon she didnt want everybody waiting on her. Now out of the snow she slows down looking for everybody after a couple of quick glances she spots everybody by a waterfall. Once again caught in the sight of something shes not familar seeing she darted straight for the waterfall. Not purposely she automatically ignored everybody that was there and bent down and starred at how beautiful it was.

After being hypnotized but the waterfalls beauty for a couple minutes she snaps out of it to greet everybody. "Sorry it took so long I hope I didnt have everybody waiting to long" Kaien says in her normal voice. Once Kaien got back on her feet she followed the group into taki.
