Mission to Taki
Mon Aug 04, 2014 3:00 am
Tashima was vigorously training when he got the mission letter from a messenger summon. Drenched in sweat and wet from the watery tendrils that coiled around his body. His arms still moving like a rolling wave the tendril following his movement. There was a brief pause before the messenger perched on a balancing stump near the lake where Tashima stood. Tashima's focus being lost, the watery tendrils that were suspended by his concentration and chakra dropped in an instance into the water with a loud splash. Tashima turned to the summon who expelled a scroll from its mouth. After reading Tashima rose a brow, "Taki?" Tashima looked baffled, what was the Tsuchikage doing personally summoning Tashima to Taki. A genin with little to no jutsu in his repertoire.
After returning to back a bag for traveling, Tashima stood at the village gates. This was maybe the first time he left the village for a mission without a squad accompanying him. For a moment he stopped to remember the times he had left with a squad countless time and time again. Now with his former squad rotting in graves he was him alone. In a strange way it felt relieving, now he would have no one to blame and should he fail to rendezvous the only loss would be a single genin as opposed to a whole squad. Tashima wasn't a novice though, his jutsu list may not have contained many offensive techniques but he was slippery and his skill set aided in getting away. Then there was THAT jutsu he was working on. It wasn't completed, in truth, it took almost every bit of focus and chakra he had to get the jutsu do partially work. He needed more training, or perhaps a good teacher, why not both? Regardless now was his chance to prove himself to the Tsuchikage. This was a mission he did not intend to fail.
