Burnt Food and Red Pandas (P, NK)

Father's old house? Had her father moved or something, and no mention of a mother? Den decided it was best no to ask about it though, normally when it came to shinobi talking about parents wasn't a good idea. Odds were their parent was a shinobi as well (because what kind of civilian would think making their child a killing machine was a good idea), and there was a good chance of them being a dead,and Den's question opening up old wounds.

"I think that would be fine, would you like to go do that now or later?" Den still hadn't gotten up from his seat, but he wasn't sitting back casually or anything.

Eva was happy Den had offered to go now, but hadn’t he just said he had plans? Maybe he meant later in the day. “Now would be good with me, but I should probably change before we leave.” Eva also wanted to put down the fire extinguisher, it was making her hands cramp from holding it for so long. She was such a weak shinobi it was almost laughable.

Den had to clean up his mess anyway, and figure out what to do about his door. I might just leave a shadow clone to watch the house or something. It was nice being at that level of skill that he could perform jutsu just for the sake of convenience. Though he might need a shadow clone to help move things if she wanted to move furniture, sure Den could pick up a couch with one hand but he doubted Eva would appreciate it if he accidentally broke something with his grip, plus extra pairs of hands would be nice if it was a lot of stuff.

"Alright I shall see you in a few."

Once/if Eva left Den would begin cleaning off the kitchen section of his apartment, working quickly so that once Eva was done changing they could leave. Upon finishing, if Eva hadn't returned, Den would use his chakra senses to locate her apartment, which would turn out to be next to his, and he would knock and await an answer.

Eva quickly walked out of Den’s apartment, awkwardly stepping over his door. Seeing as she and Den lived right next to each other it took about 3 seconds for her to reach her apartment. Eva threw the door open and walked into the kitchen, setting down the fire extinguisher on her kitchen table. Eva then walked into her bedroom, fighting off the urge to lay down in her bed.

She figured she might get hot moving things so she decided to dress lightly. She opened up her dresser and grabbed the first white shirt she saw and a pair of shorts. Eva quickly changed clothes then threw her pajamas on her bed. Eva felt bad when she wondered what Den was going to do about his door.

Eva practically forced her shoes on her feet, not wanting to have to retie them. Eva then grabbed her keys off the end table next to her door and walked out of her apartment. Before she walked back to Den’s she made sure her door was locked and shoved her keys into her pocket.

Den was very fast, and while he hadn't finished cleaning in the time it took Eva to get ready, he was close. Eva would walk in to see Den seemingly teleporting through out his kitchen, having now started moving close to his maximum speed. She wouldn't even see his hand as it scrubbed what may have once been food from his counters and walls. Den was to busy cleaning to notice the girls footsteps as she entered, still zooming around his kitchen. When he finally finished, Den stopped moving a few feet away from his kitchen with his back to Eva, admiring his now spotless kitchen. He put down his clenaing supplies and stretchd, taking in a deep bre.....

As he breathed in through his nose he detected the sent of another human, and stopped mid breath. Good going jackass.

Den didn't like revealing his abilities, that he possessed traits most shinobi did not, one such being his speed. Putting his arms down and turning around, he would try and act as though nothing strange had happened, though perhaps Eva wouldn't find his ability to move at high speeds strange (or that he was using it to clean a kitchen).

"You ready to go?"

When Eva walked into Den’s apartment she wasn't sure exactly what she was seeing. Den would be at one end of the kitchen then before Eva could blink he was at the other. At first Eva thought she was hallucinating due to lack of sleep, but she knew she wasn't that tired. The only other explanation was that Den was fast, extremely fast. Although Eva didn't really find this strange, just intimidating.

Eva almost laughed when Den tried to play it off like nothing had happened. She decided to just go with it and not say anything. “Yeah I’m ready, but by any chance can I have some water?” Eva being a Hozuki drank a mass amount of water, but seeing as it had been some time since she drank some she was feeling a bit parched. She probably should have dealt with this before she left her apartment, but clearly Den was a bit out of the ordinary himself and probably won’t judge her too harshly.

The more Eva thought of water the thirstier she got. She fought off the urge to absorb all the water Den’s kitchen sink could produce. She figured Den wouldn't appreciate the spike in his water bill, not to mention she had already kicked his door down.

Den turned to see that Eva was trying not to laugh, that was not an expression he was expecting. Maybe awe, or surprise, but not laughter. Well you were wasting your talents cleaning a kitchen, maybe she thinks your some sort of... male maid or something.... like a butler?

Butlers actually tell the other servants what to do I think, though I think I'd make one hell of a butler. Den did help organize a whole village, as Tenkage, so he felt that organizing a household wouldn't be that bad.

When Eva asked for water Den nodded, "Yeah let me go get one," and went into his fridge, removing a cold bottle of water. He handed it to her, and then if Eva began to head ti her father's house he would follow.

Eva reached out and took the bottle of water from Den. “Thanks.” Eva thirstily drank the water bottle, feeling much better she headed for the door. Her father’s house wasn’t too far from the apartments, it was about three miles east. Since it was later in the afternoon it wasn’t too hot outside which pleased Eva.

Eva walked in silence next to Den, listening to birds chirp as they slowly made their way to her father’s. She figured she should at least explain to Den what happened to her dad, considering he was about to go to his house. “Just to let you know my dad died due to illness awhile back.” Eva hoped that Den didn’t think she was trying to throw a pity party. She didn’t bother to mention her mom considering she never really knew her, so her death didn’t particularly bother Eva.

Den nodded, that was unfortunate. Den didn't really know what to say at first, he didn't know if the girl expected him to feel bad for her or if she was just informing him of why it was her father's old house. So he just stuck with something simple.

"I'm sorry for you're loss, I know what it's like to lose people close to you." Den didn't sound to emotional when he spoke those words, as he was just trying to acknowledge that it was a terrible thing that her dad was dead, and wanted to let her know that he could understand what it was like to lose someone close.

Eva just nodded at Den’s response, having nothing more to say on the subject. She wasn’t surprised that Den had lost loved ones, it wasn’t very uncommon for shinobi. Eva just mindlessly kept walking, she didn’t really have to think about where she was going. Eva wasn’t sure how long they walked, it couldn’t have been for too long.

 Once she could see her father’s house she felt a bit nostalgic, but mostly happy to be there. It looked exactly like it had the last time she had been there. Although the yard could definitely use some work. Eva walked up to the front door and fumbled with the keys until she managed to unlock the door. Eva wasn’t sure why she was so surprised at how untouched it looked. No one had been here in months so there was no reason things would be different.

Eva turned to Den “Is there anything you need before we start getting everything?” Eva planned on getting some of her stuff first, mostly clothes and pictures of friends. Then she would probably go into her dad’s room and look around for things of his she may want to keep. She wondered if her dad had any family albums in his room.
