"Like this." Den gently put his hand on Eva's shoulder, and closed his eyes. Imless Eva freaked out form the touch or did something else to get out of Den's grip, after a few moments they would disappear in a bright white light.
They'd appear on a path in the borders of Waterfall Country, not but so far from their objective.
"It's that way just so you know." Den pointed to the east, and if Eva showed any indication of following he would start heading in the direction stated in Eva's mother's notes.

Eva was a bit surprised when Den put his hand on her shoulder, but she didn’t push him off. Before Eva could process what was going on they were in a completely different place. She looked around and wondered how close they were to the red pandas.
Eva looked in the direction Den pointed in, “Lead the way.” She figured she should follow him, seeing that he seems to know what to do and she didn’t want to get them lost.

It wasn't long for them to reach what was apparently the Red Panda's territory. As they walked the road got smaller and smaller, till it seemed they were simply walking in a forest. A number of smells and noises assaulted Den's ears, was it them lurking in the shadows or just other woodland creatures scurrying away?
Den soon found out, when a larger chakra approached. and quickly too. Soon after he sensed it a 2 meter tall red panda broke through the trees, standing bipedal and seemingly holding a staff, "Who goes there!" he had a deep voice, and he had scars on his face that made him seem more intimidating and less cute than normal red pandas.
Den looked at the creature a moment before speaking, and would only speak if Eva didn't first, "I'm Den, and this is Eva. I think her mother had some sort of relationship with your kind?"

Eva was starting to get a bit nervous as she and Den walked along the road. Hopefully the red pandas were friendly and wouldn’t attack them. Eva wondered if they would even remember her mother. Was she the only one who summoned them? Eva hadn’t noticed the road getting smaller until they were practically wandering in the forest.
Den seemed to be looking around for something that Eva couldn’t sense. She started to wonder if the red pandas already knew they were in the forest seeking them out. In a split second Eva watched as a giant red panda came crashing through the bushes. Eva thought that red pandas were small and cute, not large and battle scarred.
The genin suddenly realized she didn’t know how many of these red pandas there were. There could be tons more as powerful as this one for all she knew. Eva felt as if they decided she and Den were dangerous and started to attack them she may not last long. Den on the other hand would probably be able to fend them off, at least she assumed he could.
Eva felt that the red panda’s voice suited his appearance well, it was deep and intimidating. Eva wasn’t sure what to do until Den spoke up and explained that Eva’s mother had history with the pandas. The animal stood there seemingly studying Den and Eva. “Mother’s name was Akemi Hozuki, maybe you knew her?” Eva hoped that the red panda recognized her mother’s name otherwise she wasn’t sure what to expect.

"Akemi's daughter?" The beast looked surprised, a pleasant kind of surprised though, "Shizuko, go tell the others. Akemi's daughter has finally arrived!" He seemed to be talking to a tree, but then a small red panda ran down form it and off towards 'the others'.
Den was growing curious about these creatures, one of them was capable of wielding actual weapons? That was an amazing ability to possess for a summon, as they could use multiple kinds of weapons to increase their versatility. If this girl managed to sign a contract with them, simply having beasts like that by her side would make her a great shinobi. And she has a talent for learning and using jutsu. This girl could prove to be a useful ally, with her bloodline and abilities a fight against a powerful organization wouldn't be as difficult.
After a few moments the creature named Shizuko returned with a couple other red pandas of various sizes. One looked at Den and nodded, "Thank you for helping her get here. Would you allow us to talk to her alone for a moment?"
Den nodded back, "Of course."
He would then looked to Eva, "I'll be a bit of a ways that way." He pointed north, "when you're done here meet up with me and I'll take us both back." With that Den would perform a hand seal with his left hand, and would seemingly disappear as he used the body flicker to travel 200 meters north.
(Temp exit, just post you talking to the red pandas and signing the contract.)

Eva was relieved when the red panda remembered her mother’s name. Eva was confused when the beast started to speak to a tree, until a small red panda came crawling down. For the few moments Eva got to see the smaller panda she instantly fell in love with the small fluffy animal. Eva would have started to Aww the creature but she felt like that might offend him. Also she had a feeling, although he may be adorable, he was probably very powerful.
Eva was grateful that Den had come with her. She probably wouldn’t have been able to get here so quickly, let alone find this place without him. She hoped that she can sign a contract with the red pandas that way the journey here was worth it. Eva had to repress all of her emotions when Shizuko returned with the other red pandas. Eva had been surrounded by animals all her life, but she had never seen anything close to being as cute as a red panda. Their ears and whiskers reminded her of cats, but their bodies and tails resemble raccoons. Red pandas are generally lighter in color when they are young, so she could guess which ones were older.
The much large panda with the staff turned to Eva “We promised your mother that when the day came we would sign a contract with you.” His deep voice didn’t seem to match his appearance, although he was quite intimidating. Eva was shocked at how little effort she had to put in to get the red pandas to trust her. Behind the large red panda two cat sized pandas began to play. They ran around each other trying to push one another over.
In the rolling mix of red and black fur the two red pandas somehow made their way closer to Eva. Before she could stop herself she knelt down to be closer to them. This caught their attention and they suddenly quit playing. One of them moved closer to Eva, she was pretty sure this was Shizuko, the red panda from before. After Shizuko looked over Eva once more he stood up on his hind legs and grabbed onto Eva. Eva laughed as he began to climb on top of her head, he was much softer than he looked which is saying something.
Eva stood up and grabbed Shizuko’s paws and began to gently swing him around. She assumed he enjoyed this because he made a very cute chirping noise. The larger panda seemed amused watching them play. “Shizuko go get the contract.” Eva sat Shizuko back down and he disappeared into the bushes. Eva was the happiest she had ever been knowing that she was going to be able to summon red pandas like her mother.
Shizuko came practically prancing back with a scroll in his mouth. The larger panda looked at Eva “Your mother was a very talented shinobi. I have high hopes for you, I’m sure you will make her proud.” As he said this in his deep voice he rolled out the scroll in front of Eva. Eva signed it excitedly, with a smile across her face. Moments after signing it Shizuko climbed up Eva’s body and sat on her shoulder, wrapping his front paws around her neck. “I’m going to go with you. I’ve been stuck here for too long.” Eva laughed and pet Shizuko on his soft red back.
As they began to walk in Den’s direction Shizuko chirped his goodbyes to the other red pandas. Eva was over joyed to have such adorable company with her. On the way there Shizuko and Eva spoke about their abilities. Eva was extremely impressed at how powerful this small creature was. She was glad he was on her side rather than opposing her.

Den was waiting for Eva when he heard a crash. A deer fell down form a nearby hill and rolled, hitting bushes and trees as it went. Den watched as the creature finally came to a stop within a bush, twisting a making cries of pain. Den began to feel sympathy towards the creature, but then quickly turned away. It'll be fine, it's probably just freaking out from the fall.
But the deer continued to make noise, even as it managed to finally get out of the bush. Den noticed that one of it's legs was twisted in an odd way, and then he sighed. He knew he had to help it, he couldn't just let it suffer and die like that.
Den would walk over to the creature, which tried in vain to move away from him, afraid he would hurt it more. It tried to kick out at Den with one of its good legs as he knelt down to touch the beasts leg, but Den quickly move his head out of the way. Den performed a half hand seals and wood grew from Den's other hand, creating branches that surrounded the deer and held it down. The beats struggled at first, but soon realized there was no way it could escape and stopped. For the moment at least, Den knew it was going to squirm when he tried to set the bone. Den performed another half hand seal and two branches grew from one of the ones holding the deer down, moving towards the broken leg. As they did this Den did the hand seals for Mystical Palm, hopefully he could heal the leg quick enough. As soon as he finished the hand seal the branches moved and grabbed the leg, setting the bone as Den placed his hand on the leg. White chakra emanated form his hand as the bone was mended. The beast's bone had been set to quickly for it to understand what had happened, by the time it could register what was happening to it's leg Den was healing it.
After the leg was done healing Den would move to heal the deer's other wounds, then would remove the branches from it so that it could go free.
I didn't know you had medical jutsu that actually healed things. Of course the Gobi wasn't going to make a note of him actually being kind for once, it had to say something to try and make Den feel like shit.
Screw you. Den would watch the deer run off as he got back to his feet, unsure what to do with the branches he had use to pin the deer. Shrugging, he just left them on the ground and went back to waiting for Eva, assuming she hadn't already arrived.

When Eva finally found Den he was bent over what Eva thought to be a deer. At first Eva thought that Den was hurting the animal, but quickly realized he was healing it. Eva’s soft spot for Den grew more as she watched him release the deer. For some strange reason Eva’s eyes watered a little. Den was by far one of the nicest shinobi she had ever met.
When Den turned around Eva planned on giving him a hug. Hopefully he wouldn’t freak out and punch Eva because she felt like that wouldn’t turn out so good on her end.

Den had been so focused on healing the wounded creature that he hadn't noticed Eva's approach. As it ran off he heard Eva'ds footsteps not 3 meters behind him, and Den quickly stood up and turned to face her.
Den had expected Eva to say something about him healing the deer, but instead she got really close to him. She reached her arms out and gave him a hug. If Den wasn't for some reason so... shocked? he might have remembered the last time he had been hugged he had been robbed, but instead he just kinda stood there, confused for half a second. He noticed strange things, like that her hair smelled nice, and that she felt nice. Den finally returned the hug, his hands touching her back lightly.

Hugging Den felt nice. He was a bit taller than Eva, which made her feel small for once. He also had a very comforting presence. At first Den seemed stiff, but then he seemed to relax into the hug and wrapped his arms around Eva. "You're a really good guy. Thank you so much for your help." Without thinking Eva nuzzled her head into Den's neck, she wasn't sure why she did this. Maybe because she would do this to her father when she was upset?
As she did this Shizuko, who was perched on her shoulder, attempted to join in on the hug. Unfortunately Shizuko's arms are short so it wasn't exactly a full hug, but its the thought that counts. Eva would have continued to hug Den but she didn't want to creep him out. After a few moments she let go of Den and took a step back. "Well now what?" She said smiling at Den.
