Burnt Food and Red Pandas (P, NK)

Den nodded, and thought for a moment.

"well, I actually know a water jutsu or two that could help you out. I'm assuming that you're affinity element is water right?" Den wasn't the best at teaching jutsu, but he knew one pretty useful one that Eva could benefit from. It probably wouldn't take long for her to learn the jutsu, and then they could be on their way. If Eva agreed to learn the jutsu, he would take her to the training grounds.

Eva was excited when Den said he knew jutsu he could teach her. “Yeah it is.” She hoped it wouldn’t take long for her to learn the jutsu, she wanted to leave as soon as possible. Although it’s probably best to take as much time needed to be prepared. So Eva figured she would just listen to Den’s instruction and try her best.

If Eva followed him to the training grounds, Den would turn to her and think for a moment., "Alright, so the jutsu is called Water Release: Snake Mouth. It's a fairly simple jutsu. It does have 6  hand seals though." Den slowly did the 6 hand seals so that Eva could see them. None of the seals were special, so they should be the kind that Eva learned and memorized in the academy.

Den then turned his head towards a nearby lake, and from it a giant spiraling column of water erupted. A snake mouth seemed to appear out of the top of it as Den had it move around. The column rested above Den's head, water dripping down to the ground on either side of Den.

"As you can see, it's a useful jutsu."

Den had expected the girl to struggle for a few moments, hell maybe even up to a few hours with the jutsu. She was a Genin, so he had expected this jutsu to come not with difficulty but not with ease either. So he was a bit surprised when she managed to make one her first try.

"Oh... well you catch on fairly quick." Den chuckled as he spoke, it seemed that this girls talent was at ninjutsu. A Hozuki, who would soon perhaps be able to summon giant creatures, and was a natural at learning ninjutsu. This girl kept seeming more and more interesting.

"Can you manipulate it?" To demonstrate, Den had his snake move around a bit, going side to side above him.

Eva tried to mimic Den as he manipulated his snake to move. Unfortunately Eva wasn’t the best at controlling the snake’s movement and hers crashed directly into Den’s. It took mere seconds for Eva’s weaker snake to be destroyed by Den’s. Which then made a mass amount of water pour down on both Eva and Den.

Most people would just be drenched by the water, but Eva being a Hozuki just absorbed the water and appeared completely dry. Eva looked over and started to laugh seeing that Den was dripping from head to toe. Eva tried to apologize, but was to busy laughing so it probably just sounded like she was choking. She hoped Den would also find this funny and not get angry with Eva.

Den got drenched, he should have seen it coming, but he didn't think the girls snake would actually break against his. Den was in some nice clothes, but he didn't really care that much. He couldn't help but laugh, even as he made his water snake go back into water and then released the jutsu.

Den was used to being somewhat damp, because he had lived in a village filled with mist most of his life, but being drenched was not something he experienced often, and while the situation was funny Den felt he should probably change soon.

"I hope that, next time you use the jutsu, you make sure to control it properly." Den chuckled after that, and wondered what Eva wanted to do next. If she wanted to go find those Red Pandas right then it would be fine, Den could deal with wet clothes if he had to.

Eva finally stopped laughing and wiped the tears away from her eyes. “Yeah I don’t think that would be a good thing to do in a fight.” Eva was glad she learned the jutsu so easily, that way they can leave to go find the red pandas as soon as possible. “So when do you want to leave?” She looked at Den hoping his answer would be now. Eva was anxious to find out where exactly the red pandas were hidden and how powerful they are.

Den's answer was simple enough, "We could leave now."

He could deal with wet clothes, though if they had to fight Den imagined that they would be constricting. I can take off my shirt though. His arms would be more free then, and his pants were well fitted enough that he could move in them while wet.

Den waited to see if Eva was fine with leaving then, "By the way I can teleport, and take us a bit closer to where the red pandas are." They'd still have to walk a ways, but they would start out a lot closer. Den didn't like revealing his abilities to others, but he was helping Eva so he didn't think she would use any knowledge of his powers against him later down the road.

When Den said they could leave now Eva was so excited she had to fight off her urge to start happy dancing. She was impressed to hear that Den can teleport, she had never heard of that ability. “Sure that sounds good. How does it work?”

Eva wondered if teleporting hurt, what would happen if her entire body didn’t teleport? Would various Eva pieces be lost in the woods? She hoped that this wouldn’t be the case. Plus Eva trusted Den and figured he wouldn’t put her in harms way. Although she had just met him…
