Den followed Eva to what obviously an abandoned house, though it was surprisingly in good shape. The yard was unkempt, but it didn't seem like the house had been vacated until recently.
After opening the door Eva turned to him and asked if he needed anything before they started. Den thought for a moment before answering, wanting to be sure he wasn't forgetting anything, "No I should be fine, just tell me what to move and I'll move it."
After saying that Den would wait for Eva to tell him what to move and then he would get to work.

“Alright, follow me.” Eva walked into her bedroom which looked empty seeing as a lot of her things were gone. She picked up an empty box that she had left there in the process of moving and started to pile clothes into in. Eva emptied out the rest of her closet then started to put various pictures she had in her room. Some were family pictures, some were of her and old friends. Eva of course had to pack her old stuffed animal which she had since birth. She hadn’t packed it earlier because she ran out of room and hadn’t felt like making a second trip.
After Eva got everything she wanted out of the bedroom she handed the box to Den. “Could you set this by the front door for me?” As Den did that she would probably begin to go look in her father’s room for things she may want.

Den followed Eva into her room, a vague memory of his mother mentioning not wanting him to use his shinobi skills to try and 'sneak into any girls rooms'. He had never really understood why, what did girls have in their room that was so interesting? as he got older he had begun to understand what she had meant, but he had never really been interested in it. He was always to busy training or doing missions.
While Eva was cleaning Den did what he could, handing her clothes occasionally or some photo when she seemed to be picking up those. She hadn't really told him if she wanted him to help pick things up or what she wanted to keep so he just hoped most of the stuff he handed her was stuff she wanted.
Afterwards Eva handed him the box and told him to go put it at the front door, so he went to go do that while she headed towards her fathers room.

Eva had spent plenty of time in her father’s room when he was sick and she had to care for him, so she knew where most things were. She decided to check in the draws she hadn’t looked in before. It took Eva a few seconds to get his top dresser drawer open because of how old it was.
The drawer was deep and filled with tons of various things. The first thing that caught Eva’s eye was an old picture book, Eva assumed it wasn’t her father’s because of the girly flower print on it. Eva assumed it must have been her mother’s, otherwise she wasn’t sure who else’s it was. Eva flipped it open to the first page and saw a picture of her mother, who was very pregnant at the time. The book had pictures of her mother and father decorating what was the nursery for Eva.
As Eva neared the end of the book a piece of paper that was stuck in the back fell out. Eva quickly sat the book down on her dad’s desk and picked up the paper. As she unrolled it she realized it was a note. Eva recognized the name at the bottom of the paper, her mother had written this.

After putting the box near the front door Den thought it would be nice of him to go help Eva clear out her dad's room as well. He hadn't seen what room she went into, but could hear her rummaging through one of the rooms so he found her quickly enough.
She was looking at a note that seemed to have fallen out of a book or something.
"Did you find something interesting?" Den stood in the doorway and waited for an answer, curious as to what Eva had found.

As Eva examined the note she was startled by Den’s voice. She hadn’t even realized he was standing in the doorway until she looked up. “It’s a note from my mom.” Eva began to read the note, some of the words were faded making it harder to read, but for the most part it was legible.
In the note her mother began to explain how she used to summon red pandas. Eva was suddenly jealous of her mom, from all the pictures she had seen Eva knew red pandas were adorable. As she continued to read she learned her mother wanted Eva to seek them out. Her mother said they were hidden within the waterfall country, but unfortunately were a very long ways away down south.
After Eva had finished reading the note she handed it to Den, as she was too deep in thought to explain what she had just read. Why had her dad never mentioned this to Eva? Surely he knew, but did he know that Eva’s mother wanted her to also summon red pandas? Eva hoped she could leave to go find them soon, but she wasn’t sure how to prepare for something like this.

den read the note quickly, "So your mother could summon some of the giant animals within this continent?" Den also deduced the girls mother was dead seeing as the note seemed to have been intended for Eva to receive after she died, and also because Eva seemed a bit young to be living alone.
Den was actually interested in meeting these creatures though, he had only met the snakes his father had brought him to.
"Do you plan on going to meet them? They seem like they'd be interesting." Den wondered how powerful theywere to, and if they'd let this girl summon them. A Hozuki that could summon powerful creatures? That actually sounded pretty useful to Den, he looked at the girl and wondered if she was meant to become a powerful shinobi, from her surname it seemed her father was the Hozuki and if her mother summoned these Red pandas, then she must have come form a shinobi family. She probably had a high chance of being gifted in some form of shinobi art or another.

Eva could hear the curiosity in Den’s voice when he spoke. She couldn’t blame him though, Eva herself was curious to see how strong these red pandas are. “I suppose I should go find them as soon as possible.” Although Eva wasn’t sure what problems she may face when she gets there, and she isn’t exactly the strongest shinobi in the world.
Possibly Den would want to accompany her? She could use the extra protection and company is always nice. Also it may be more fun if Den came, but then again she doesn’t know much about him. “Would you possibly want to accompany me?” She looked at Den hopefully as she spoke. Eva would understand if he said no, he probably has things of his own he has to do.

The girl actually wanted him to accompany her? He wondered, did she think she needed him for protection? It made sense, she was a genin and had caught him cleaning his room at speeds she couldn't hope to imitate at her current level. He wanted to come with her, he was curious about these red pandas as well, but now he felt that he needed to know how strong she was now. If they were gonna travel together, he needed to know what she could handle.
"I'd like to come with you, but if so I'd need to ask you a somewhat personnel question. How capable of a ninja would you say you are?" D hoped he didn't offend her by asking. Den wasn't hoping for any specific answer, in truth he just didn't want to offend her if he protected her from an attack she could have defended herself.

Eva wasn’t surprised Den wanted to know how strong Eva was, she would probably do the same thing in his position. “Let’s just say I’m…not the best.” Eva laughed as she spoke, she definitely had plenty of room for improvement. She assumed Den was much stronger than her, as she had seen him practically teleporting across his kitchen. Possibly she may learn something from Den? That’s if he was willing to teach her.
