Wanted: The Spirit of Cooperation (NK)

Bar hung up the cardboard sign outside the door of the Training Tower Room. Hopefully Haru and Goon would show up, even better if the other Genin came. If they got enough for a Genin Team, they could tackle the C-rank missions and then, surely then, the ryo would flow? With that in mind, Bar also laid out pamphlets for the newest products offered by the Tenga Tech Shop.

Youta was there. Checking the mission list, thinking if she should give a call to Haru and ask the team to take a mission, it has been a while after all.

Bar waved at Youta, but the majority of his attention was on a book, Defense Strategies of Wild Animals, a can of white paint, and the black gauntlets of his Tech-Armor. Bar had applied narrow bands of white paint. Now he was testing the effect by shadow-boxing into a mirror. As his arms thrust forward, the alternating bands of white-on-black blurred together, making a dizzying effect, and also making it hard to judge the exact length of his arms.

Bar turned to Youta, smiling. "What do you think? The theory is sound."

Somebody spoke to her and Youta turned her head in that direction. A boy in Genin tech-armor was next to her, he appeared to be the one who said something, but sadly she did not pay attention to it when it happened. "Excuse me?" Something was off about the guy, his armor was painted in black and white, making him look like a prisoner.

Instead of repeating himself, Bar slowly mock-punched at Youta, and with his fist closed. Even from ten feet away, you could still see the blurring effect the black-and-white stripes made as Bar's arms went forward. When they stopped moving, the black-and-white stripes made Bar's arms appear shorter than they really were. Nevertheless, Bar was put off by Youta's facial expression, and chuckled nervously. Subconsciously, he started analyzing every detail of her appearance. "I'm Bar Hyuuga, Haru Hyuuga's newest student in the Gentle Fist. What's your name and specialty? Weapons? Got some kind of dojutsu?"

Bar hoped Haru would show up soon, he had a feeling this was gonna get awkward quick.

Youta's right eyebrow went up slightly as the boy slowly mock-punched her. He was being too familiar with her and she did not like it, the fact that he was a stranger to her did not help it either. But in a moment he would introduce himself, after showing off the strip-illusion thingy. Learning that he was a student of Haru's made things both clearer and more confused at the same time. She decided to skip the fact that theoretically Haru was her sensei as well, but for her taste the guy just asked too many questions, rather improper ones in the ninja world. Keeping ones abilities and weapons a secret was common sense.
"Youta Rentei. And none of your business." With the last word however she would aim a legit punch at his stomach. If it landed she would put some distance between them and keep doing what she was doing before. It was the price for trying to get too close to her.

The instant Bar sensed danger, his Defensive Matrix was up. A fraction of a second later, it was his Byakugan. And well, why train a technique if you weren't going to use it? And so, Bar put his right elbow and knee between Youta's underhanded right fist, trying to block it with his adapted Intersection Method. It wouldn't break her arm, but two of the tenketsu between her wrist and her elbow would be sealed, making that hand and wrist unresponsive to commands, stopping the punch from hitting his belly, as well as giving her two stacking Chakra debuffs of eight each.

If that technique succeeds, Bar would return to a traditional Gentle Fist stance, and intone, "Eight Trigrams of the Humane Fist: Intersection Method. My own design. You should know better than to punch a Hyuuga." Bar's expression adopts one of forced-cheerfulness. "Now, I'm giving you three choices: Are we going to play like nice Genin and enter into a Spirit of Cooperation, where I restore your tenketsu, and we can trade jutsu, and have all kinds of fun, and become the most awesome Team ever?" Bar's face turns neutral. " Or we could keep sparring, but I warn you, you're already losing." And here Bar's face is ice-cold, "Or regretfully, the third option: Should I ask you to leave?"

If by some disaster or misfortune that the technique fails, Bar would kneel on the floor, clutching his belly, struggling not to black out or vomit. Once he got his breath back, he would raise his shaking thumb to her, performing the ancient sign of "Acknowledged Strength," but saying nothing, only thinking to himself, If she had pink hair, I'd suspect her of being a descendant of Sakura Haruna.

The boy moved surprisingly fast, enough to catch and land two strikes on her forearm, stopping it before it hit him. For some reason both strikes were not as heavy as they seemed and she did not appear to take any damage, however her wrist and hand would not listen to her. "Fine..." she thought. After the motion, he would assume a rather strange stance, where his head seemed all two exposed, and name the move he just used. Before he could claim having designed the move though, Youta's right foot would swing to hit him in his rib cage. He talked a lot, but hopefully this would surprise him enough not to use the same move again, or it might get bad.

Bar didn't even stop talking as he used a right Intersection Method on the kick. Buddha, this girl was more stubborn than Goon! If the technique succeeds, Bar would then side-step slightly so that her sealed right side was fully facing him, and she'd pretty much have to do a one-eighty turn to do anything else.

Youta's expression changed as her kick got countered the same way as her punch. However this time she had already activated Seigan, what little help it would be. Using a genjutsu was not an option, as having fought a byakugan user before she knew that they could see you without actually looking at you, making genjutsu cast through eyes practically useless. But there was something else her eyes allowed and with this ability she intended to win this fight. Youta's fingers itched for a weapon badly, but a certain sense of honor maybe, or something else said it would be improper to pull a weapon in such an encounter. There was however a concealed weapon she could use, it was implanted in her left palm and would pack a nice hit if she managed to fire it at point blank range. Acting on that impulse she would push off with her left foot, lunging at the Hyuuga and thrusting her left palm at his chest.
Her only hope was the he would not use the same move three times in a row, because if same happened to her left hand, she could not fire the chakra cannon. If he were not to defend against this, when inches remained to his body, a chakra would blast off her hand hitting him head on.
