The time Emi had been kage had been tumultuous to say the least. The first week was spent largely hyperventilating. The second hiding silent panic attacks. The third they had been attacked by a major village. Through it all she had been blocked at every turn. Bureaucracy and arrogance had obstructed any change she had tried to make. Every attempt to improve the village was met with greed and discrimination.

Emi did not know what it was that finally broke her. Did not know if it was the attack, the financial and political strain, but what she did know was that she was not cut out for this. The voices whispered in her mind over and over, calling her away. Telling her how worthless her presence here was. She had resisted at first, pushed down those thoughs and ignored them. But now she had decided.

A letter had been written, left to Rin along with all her possessions, sealed within the hidden compartment of her desk. Rin would know where to look. The voices called to her, and she knew she would answer. With one last glance out the window she would at last embrace that dark voice inside of her. With one last decision made she would leave to greener pastures.

Rin stepped into the office that had been designated as the Kage of Economic and Cultural Development's oficial office. She herself had already taken over the office of military operations albeit only in an unofficial capacity, the woman's aides had tried to turn her aside as she had strode up to the office; insisting that Emi was incredibly busy and had left instructions not to be interrupted, Rin had ignored these orders of course, still fuming over the events at the gates, she had simply informed the small cluster of support staff that what she had to discuss was both above their pay grade and far too important to be delayed. She had of course intended to simply scold the girl for not calling on her in the middle of an attack before moving the discussion to how best to reinforce the village against such things in the future... What she found however was an empty office, with just the faintest traces of something fowl, space time energy mixed with something that could only be described as rotten, the scent just beginning to dissipate.

Frowning slightly Rin strode the few feet over to the desk... it was not laid out how she would have expected, rather than the scattered mess she had come to expect, piles and piles of paperwork that came with the girl's office, the desk was neatly laid out, that wasn't to say that it was not filled to the brim with papers, but rather those papers had been neatly stacked and organized in a way that made it simple and easy to work out where in the processing stage they were. Rin's heart dropped a little at that, the girl's desk had never been this tidy before. Stepping around the desk to the neatly positioned chair, pushed under the desk Rin frowned. Reaching down under the desk she pushed her hand into the small trick lock that emi had shown her when she first took the position as her deputy. A sliver of her chakra leaked into the lock, mingling with the trace she had laid there not so long ago, triggering the mechanism with a subtle click.

Pulling out the box out of the hidden compartment the not that had formed in Rin's gut tightened. Placing the box on the desk for a moment she pulled the chair out, collapsing into it with a bone deep sigh. What lay within the box was a clear enough message even without breaking the seal on the formally sealed letter that lay within the box, for inside was a large sum of valuable items and ryo, the accumulated savings of the village taxes no doubt. "So she couldn't handle the weight of the position after all" Rin said to herself, a weary and wistful expression crossing her face as she reached out, breaking the seal on the letter as she began to read.

"Rin, I cannot apologize enough for bringing you into this, I thought maybe with your help I could bear the burden of this role... by now you have no doubt heard of the events at the gates, the Hokage himself forced us to pay a small fortune in what can only be described as extortion fees, I could not have fought him, and no matter how confident in your abilities I don't believe you could have held your own against him either. Regardless I have come to realize how little i fit this role, I am called to other endeavors and take my leave. Within you will find enclosed the wealth of the village as well as a token of apology from myself for drawing you into this. Do what you will with it, you may continue on, taking my place and shaping this village into a military power as we once agreed, or you may do as i have, heeding the call of greater truths.

Rin didn't cry, didn't visibly morn the loss of her friend and liege, she did not have time for that, the power vacuum that the girl's absence had wrought would destroy this village if she didn't act. Thankfully the girl had foreseen that, within the box, amongst the wealth, treasures, and classified information, was a formal writ declaring Rin as Emi's official successor... the question of whether or not she should take the role never crossed Rin's mind, something she would come to question deeply in the coming days. For now though there was work to do, politics to play, and decisions to make.

In order to maintain site mechanic integrity, a few updates have been made to place several event items into either the Lesser or Greater Mythical Item categories. Some event items were never intended to be transferrable due to the impact they have on the game.

After review, the following Event Items have been placed into the Greater Mythical category and are not eligible for transfer:
Heaven or Hell Dice
Scroll of Equilibrium.

The remaining items are eligible to be claimed, as the ones previously denied have now been moved into the Lesser Mythical category.

Ok, so detectives Rin and Ayato got to the bottom of it. When the original claim was made, the untradeability was left ambiguous in the staff-commissioned item Scroll of Equilibrium, which has since been clarified. Furthermore, they were listed in shop[s] that provided both Mythical and Event items, so the line got blurred between the two. Awkward, but a note to make from now on is to label High-End Event items as Greater Mythical upon release.

In the intermediate period, we weighed the balance concerns, a few of which have been listed above. We also weighed the wish of a player who wants to depart from the game but leave something behind for a friend and the disappointment of being unable to do so due to a technical ambiguity if they were unaware. We made the successful settlement of transferring the Scrolls as Forged Papers to Rin instead.

Unfortunately for the Heavens and Hell, Dice was already marked in the app as untradeable before being added to the Greater Mythics and long before the topic claim was made, so it is not possible to reimburse for that. Without further ado,
