One such time [PNK]

It had been some month since Vigil's creation. The knowledge bestowed upon him by his creator made it somewhat easy to stay out of trouble, not that anyone bothered him really. Slightly scared at first, the exemplar soon learned that the outside world cared little about him and with Naoki leading the village, he had practically nothing to worry about. But that did not mean he would not do anything. Pretty quickly he learned that while his creator was powerful, Vigil himself was pretty much an ordinary boy with some fancy knowledge... and a body created from rock and magic. To help with that Naoki registered him as a Genin of the village, giving the boy his own last name, Gekou, and saying that he was his relative from afar. Vigil would live in Naoki's house, who treated him pretty much like his own son. And in his free time the leader would train the boy.

This was one such time. They would be in a small clearing on the same island as Naoki's house. Being close by the man used it as a training ground usually and some of the other ninja would come here as well. Although the boy was an intellectual type, much like Naoki himself. He was significantly weaker, so Naoki decided to first help him get fit. The other day he had taught the boy the most basic mark seal as well as marked him himself, today after some hand to hand he was going teach the boy summoning, something he considered a valuable low rank ability. Wearing open blue shirt with silver floral ornaments and black jeans Naoki would side step from Vigil's punch. The boy would spin his foot on the sand that covered the whole clearing and attempt another run, sending a barrage of punches at his creator. But they were relatively slow, at least to Naoki who easily blocked every single one and then gently pushed his assailant away. During the training Naoki was mostly on the defense, there was no point in being rough on the boy especially when it was not his fault that he was created physically weaker than Naoki himself. But they were approaching Vigil's limits, he was tiring and slowing down with his attacks. So in order to push his limits, it was time for Naoki to go on the offense, forcing the boy to try harder to over being hit.

Denkiteki had become quite tan during his stay in Shimagakure. Wearing a red T-shirt and jeans created from his manipulated fabric, Den continued to examine his new skin pigment in the mirror. Indeed, he has not used to it at all, he was known to occasionally get a tan but he'd never been on a beach like Shima's.

Are you going to look at yourself all day or are we going to go? The bijuu speaking in Den's mind, annoyed with Den as usual. Sighing, the former tenkage picked up the small cube he had on his sink, and began heading towards the island in which Naoki lived on. It wouldn't take him long, especially seeing as he could run on the water. It didn't take land for Den to spot naoki on the beach, fighting some boy Den had never met. If Naoki turned to see Den as he approached the Former Tenkage would wave with his right hand, otherwise he would wait till he was within normal speaking distance to speak, "Hey, how are the both of you doing today?" Den was in a good mood, a he had been having a good time since his arrival at Shima. He would wait for Naoki, and the boy to respond before bringing up the small cube,which he held in his left hand.

Pressing the attack on Vigil just hard enough for the boy to manage to keep up, Naoki would spot someone on the water, approaching them. In a moment his chakra senses caught Denkiteki's signature. Vigil not having as sharp senses would remain unaware of man, until Naoki finished his attack and gestured to stop. The boy wearing white golden shirt and cream color shorts would follow his maker's gaze and find who Naoki was waving back to. The man he had not seen before was walking on the water and coming at them.

As Den got close enough, Naoki noticed that the former Tenkage had got a tan since his coming to the village. Speaking of which, the arm that Den transplanted to the Uchiha now had nearly the same tan as the rest of his body. With a casual pose Naoki would reply "Well enough. Training this young ninja is quite enjoyable." He would smile, then glance at Vigil, who after a moment would nod at Denkiteki and introduce himself "Hello, my name is Vigil Gekou. I'm a Genin." Naoki would notice the cube in Den's hand, but decide to let the man tell about it himself. "So, how is your stay in Shimagakure so far? Is there anything I could help you with."

The person Naoki was training with said his name was Vigil Gekou. Den assumed that meant the two were related, and Den wondered if Vigil also had a sharingan for a moment. It didn't matter, was just merely a thought that passed through his head as he continued his approach.

Naoki smiled, and Den returned the gesture. It was nice to be in a village with a friendly leader, and friendly people. While Takigakure had allowed him to meet Eva, she wasn't enough to make him forget how rude Taiga had been to him during their first meeting.

"My stay has been good, I've certainly enjoyed my time here." Den's smile persisted, he really hoped that Naoki would appreciate the present he had, especially if Den got an opportunity to explain the other inventions of his that could be used with it.

"I'm actually here to give you a gift, as thanks for allowing me to stay here." Den would hold out the cube to Naoki, "It's an invention of mine. If you put some of your chakra into it, it will respond to your commands and form any clothing you like. However, this clothing will be as strong as armor, regardless of how soft of malleable it becomes."

Naoki was happy to hear that Den enjoyed his stay in his village. Through his cautious nature the Uchiha could not help to feel slightly alarmed at the guest's mention of the gift, as it could be interpreted differently if there were any hostile intentions. But from what he know about Den until this point, he would not pull anything like that, nor would it make any sense for him to, as there were plenty better opportunities before. So the tension would immediately be suppressed and replaced with interest in the gift in question.

Apparently the cube held in the former Tenkage's hand and being handed to Naoki was the gift. Taking it the Uchiha would glance down, inspecting it shortly before his gaze returning to Den to hear him explaining about his invention. It was a truly interesting creation, to be able to manipulate clothing like that, while also maintaining its durability as high as armor. Though feeling like Den was not supposed to make such a gift, Naoki knew it would be rather foolish to decline something as useful as this. "Thank you, though as I recall I was the one who invited you here. This was not necessary, but I really appreciate both the gesture and the gift. Would you tell me how it was made?"

"Yes, but you didn't have to allow me to stay. You could have had me leave once our initial business arrangement had concluded." He didn't want to say anything about the surgery, as he wasn't sure if Naoki was alright with the public being aware of such a thing and he didn't know how much Naoki trusted this Vigil, even if he was family.

"As for how it was made, that would require a complicated answer." Den chuckled as he said that, though he honestly hoped that Naoki didn't wish to press the question. It wasn't to big of a deal, but Den didn't like explaining all of his abilities to someone unless he had to.

Naoki would smile in response to Den's words. If the man chose not to share the exact, then so be it. Molding some chakra into the cube, Naoki would reach out to it with his mind, shaping it into a gauntlet, quite impressed with the results he would then make it a ring, thinking to himself to test the possibilities later. "Well, either way, thank you." He would then look at Vigil and remember one detail.

"Oh, right. Vigil here has a dream of becoming a medical ninja. I was wondering if you would accept to take him up as your apprentice? Of course, I you know you already have an assistant, so either way the choice is yours, but I know the boy would be very thrilled to travel and learn from you." The Uchiha would propose, while his creation stood next to him silent, inspecting the face of the man who might become his master. He was actually rather surprised, of course he had told Naoki about his wish to learn medical ninjutsu, but it did not include being apprenticed by somebody, nor did he know who this Den person was, or that they were even a medical ninja. But he would not say anything.

Denkiteki was surprised with what came after he gave the gift to Naoki. The village leader explained to him that Vigil had a desire to become a great medical ninja, it was a good goal, one that Denkiteki had shared in his youth. But have Denkiteki be his teacher, that was something the former kage was unsure about. He always fancied hismelf a terrible teacher, and often apologized to people when he taught them as he always felt he was doing them a disservice.

Still, he supposed he could teach the boy a thing or two.

"Well, I suppose I could take on an apprentice. My only fear is that I'm not all that great of a teacher, I'd be worried that he would be better off in the hands of someone more fit for the position of teacher." He wans't declining the offer, merely letting Naoki know that Den didn't believe he was a capable teacher. What his friend, and the boy, wanted to do after knowing that was entirely up to them. Den would take the boy as his apprentice if they seemed fine with it.

Vigil would rejoice to hear the man accept to take him as an apprentice, despite the warnings of being a bad teacher. If he was a master of the art, which it seems Naoki considered him to be, then Vigil would find a way to make it work and learn from him. Apparently, the boy was set up like that when Naoki created him, to be rather adaptive. Making a short bow to express his appreciation Vigil would then get a glance from Naoki and walk away, picking up some of their training gear that was scattered around.

As the boy moved away, Naoki would look at Den. "Thanks, I'm sure he's really happy and I believe you will be able to successfully teach him a great deal. Anyways, I wanted to talk a bit. I am planning to have Rin's funeral a public event so people who knew or admired him could say their goodbyes. Of course you are invited, but I hoped you could tell me if there people who knew him personally in Tengakure, or maybe you think I should ask the guy to runs it now?"

"I honestly didn't know him that well personally myself, but I'm sure there are some people. One of my Anbu seemed to know him, the day he had died in fact he had walked into my office to go collect the boy as they were both in training to become Anbu at the time. Perhaps though, you could attempt to get a hold of the current leader if you wished, though he may grow curious as to how you obtained the body, and I'm not sure what he'll do if he finds out I've been here." Den of course, thought that Takeo was still in charge of Tengakure, and was referring to him. The anbu had been Haru Hyuuga, a slightly younger shinobi that Den had made an Anbu sometime before the coup.

Den then waited to hear what Naoki had to say, wondering if he would still want to talk to the current Tenkage or not.
