Complacency is Death (P, NK)
Mon Nov 24, 2014 6:58 pm
As a relatively freshly abducted ninja, Kemuri was still rather confused as to what exactly it was he was supposed to be doing. It was clear to him that he were likely one of the best ninja which had been captured, only further inflating his already large ego. Yet, he knew it was incredibly stupid to do nothing and wait for things to happen for you, especially when you're in a situation in which people are constantly deciding whether or not you live or die based upon your power. Having been making his way through the alien village to him, Kemuri found that this place was full of interesting things unlike Konoha. For instance, the entire village had massive buildings, the likes of which he had never seen before, that enthralled him at their presence. While he were not doing much of anything he would often simply stare at them from time to time in wonder of how exactly they even stood. Regardless, he knew that he needed to continue work on himself, and thus begun to walk the village in search of somewhere or something to allow him to do so. It wasn't long after asking around that he came across the information he was searching for. Several of the towers, all presumably by each other, were dedicated solely to training, which was exactly what he wanted to hear.
Being pointed in the direction of the towers, he begun his journey to it, walking along the roads at the base of the huge buildings that dotted the city in no real hurry, after all, after the initial events of him being captured, a massive amount of nothing happened, and was still in the process. Walking for about ten or so minutes, Kemuri came across the base of one of the towers he were planning on training in or around, he wasn't exactly sure how it was they worked. However, he didn't really much care and decided he would head inside, finding the interior of the buildings to match the dull exteriors, though he didn't consider this a bad thing. Kemuri actually found himself liking this place more and more as he stayed. The dull buildings matched his personality to a certain degree along with matching the color of his transformation, possibly giving him an edge in combat by making it more difficult to see him, though he didn't actually expect anything to come of it. Making his way up the nearest stairwell he could find, Kemuri walked upwards to the top floor and then some, being on the open roof of the building, a fairly strong breeze blowing near constantly as he stood there. Normally this would put him on edge, but not very long ago he learned to control the transformation of the Iburi quite well, surpassing just about everyone else in the clan.
This thought reminded Kemuri of his family and those back in Konoha, yet something else came up with that thought. He thought of them as weak. Sure he had done this before, but it were often in spite of them when he were thinking of just his friends and family after beating them in a spar or something of the like. This time was different; he was thinking of them as weak and in need of someone to protect them. Naturally, he thought of himself as the person that would be best for protecting them all, though that thought was rather quickly suppressed by something else. He desired a place in which they wouldn't have to worry about the dangers of the world. Somewhere that he wouldn't have to be there to protect them. Alas, this was unachievable to him, and that put him in a rather dull mood. Luckily, Kemuri was good at having rapid mood changes due to his developing sociopathy and swiftly went from a more sad mood to one full of energy. His eyes opening more than they usually were, Kemuri would begin to run. He wasn't entirely sure what exactly it was he was running for, but after a few seconds of doing so, he figured he may as well continue as a sort of training. Oddly enough, Kemuri begun to run down the stairs he had just come up; all the way down to ground level. This was good for him getting stronger, but it didn't really serve any purpose whatsoever, and thus he found an unoccupied room in the tower, as he assumed most of them were and stopped, looking around frantically for something he could let out his energy on. Kemuri felt like he had just snorted a mountain of cocaine, which he obviously hadn't since he was flat out broke. It was then that it entirely cut out, leaving him in a mood similar to the one he was in while he was walking towards the towers in the first place and with roughly the same amount of energy, though he felt a little tired for some reason.
Regardless of how it was that he felt, he was in the place he had been heading to and decided that he would begin to train, whether it be by himself or with his two friends. Though he did hope that his friends would show up to make it a more pleasurable experience as well as clearly getting him to progress faster. He begun simply, forming the seal of confrontation before closing his eyes. It was clear he were ready to practice some kind of jutsu, but even he wasn't sure what exactly that jutsu was going to be at the moment. The first thing that he thought up, he would make an attempt at performing, and that thing just so happened to be a jutsu more powerful than anything else he had learned thus far in his life.

Tank had been wandering around the village of Takigakure for a while now and was pretty much lost in this maze of enormous buildings the likes he had never sen before. He noticed that most of the citizens in this village were just those in Konoha. They were all simply loving their lives with what seemed to be not a worry in the world. Meanwhile Tank was thinking that any moment he could be summoned away by Youka and killed. Knowing he would eventually need to fight back Tank felt the need to train, but this village unlike Konoha had no fields in it. It was actually very depressing to him as he rather enjoyed the greenery of Konoha and this village was nothing more than a bunch of tall gray rectangles with windows. In his lost wandering though Tank saw a familiar face, or mask that is. He could see Kemuri off in the distance heading into a building. He must have been lost as well or found something of interest, hopefully food. Sprinting toward the building as fast as he could without trampling any civillians Tank would reach the doors rather quickly. Opening the double doors Tank would look around and not see Kemuri. He must have gone upstairs he thought so Tank began walking up the steps of this very tall building stopping at every floor to take a quick peek. While he did this he would think of what he needed to do to be able to defend himself if Youka ever decided to try and kill him.
After several minutes of making his way up the building floors he see a blur move past himin the stair well. Tank saw that it was Kemuri and decided to follow him as best as he could barely keeping him in sight until he came to an abrupt stop. Panting a little bit Tank followed Kemuri into the room he had made his way into. It was a rather barren room except for a few training dummies and Kemuri standing there a few meters in front of the door forming the seal of confrontation. Tank realised that this was a training room and Kemuri must have been thinking the same thing as he had. They both needed to get stronger and this was the place to do it in this village it seemed. Speaking to Kemuri Tank would say "So you found the training area for this village. Seems like we were thinking the same thing. Any ideas in mind or are we just going to do our own things again?" Standing and waiting for a response Tank would think to himself he needed to get Kemuri to teach him the earth wall and water wall jutsu he had learned back in Konoha right before they were taken. Although he was sure Kemuri might want to learn some new things in return. Unfortunately for Tank all he knew was taijutsu and Kemuri didn't seem to be the most interested person in that field.

having begun his journey through the village Kenshin would visit many places, trying to see some of the sights this village held within it, attempting to find some joy out of the bullshit that was happening. Going first to a small bar on ground level that seemed to double as a diner in the morning he would order several plates of eggs and pancakes to fill his stomach for whatever he was going to do this fine day. Leaving a rather large tip for the people that served him he would exit the diner and proceed back out onto the streets. Looking up towards the tops of the skyscrapers he would whistle loudly, only now noticing how big each one actually was. The first question coming to mind was how did people manage to build such things? Deciding upon investigating Kenshin would focus chakra into the soles of his feet and begin scaling the side of the building at a slow walk. Checking over everything about the first skyscraper from ground floor to its peek he seemed rather disappointed at the fact that there was actually very little special about the building. Letting out a sigh Kenshin would quickly go back down to street level and begin asking any other shinobi on the street where they happened to train here. Being told there were specific towers for such things he would immediately follow the directions he was given and go there to train his skills for the things that were likely to come. Eventually coming across several of the tallest buildings he had seen thus far he would sigh loudly as did the same as before, focusing his chakra and walking up the side of the building. Eventually making it near the top he would stop on a small ledge with a rather large window that allowed him to see Kemuri and Tank within. Hearing Tank question what type of training Kemuri was planning Kenshin would quickly open the window and step inside. "Well, I would say a two on one is far over due between us seeing how much you two have grown" he said with a confident tone, not for one second doubting he could take them both on at once. His form however for some reason would likely seem different to the two of them, a change in wardrobe being rather obvious as instead of his usual cloak and all black and white clothing he wore a grey T-shirt and somewhat baggy white pants. His usual black shinobi sandals were still on but he also wore white bandages on his hands similar to that of a boxers hand wraps and finally a short sleeved black haori that had crimson flames printed on the bottom, things he had decided to buy to change up his look seeing as he was now likely branded a traitor by the leaf.

Kemuri stood in the same position with the seal of confrontation still in his hands, at this point knowing what it was he was going to do. It was similar to that of the earth wall technique he had learned, but it had a very different application. Focusing his chakra into the ground with the seal in his hands, the floor of the tower would begin to crumble roughly 10 meters away from where he were standing, two large oval shaped rocks beginning to come out of the ground, yet somewhat slowly. The rocks were about five meters away from each other, standing ten meters in height. Kemuri then begun to focus his chakra in an even more concentrated amount into the ground in an attempt to move the slabs of rock. The rocks shook some, but ultimately they remained exactly where they were, and would stay there, as Kemuri had no intention of putting them back into the ground. Looking towards Tank after doing this, Kemuri would listen to what it was he had to say before Kenshin promptly climbed in the window, this being quite humorous to Kemuri. It seemed like everywhere he went these two showed up. Perhaps it was just coincidence, perhaps it just showed how similar they all were... or perhaps it showed they were both in on his capturing and needed to keep an eye on him. Regardless, he really didn't much mind having been kidnapped by now. It was strange, but he seemed to be adjusting to the life of a missing ninja quite well, surely a sign of what he was inevitably going to become.
Chuckling some at kenshin's entrance through the window and challenging them to a battle, Kemuri would turn towards him. "You know, I came here to train by myself..." he said "But it's always a pleasure to have you two around. I'd say we are overdue for a spar.". Walking an equal distance away from both Kenshin and Tank, he would stand still, facing both of them easily enough from where he was. "Whenever you're both ready we can begin." He said while taking a somewhat aggressive stance and looking towards Kenshin. This was a good chance for Kemuri to practice the use of the jutsu he had learned without the prying eyes of his captor around, and he planned on doing exactly that, and in fact using near all of the jutsu he had learned in the passing time since leaving the Iburi clan compound.

To Tank surprise Kemuri would have used an earth jutsu in this room moving the concrete of the floor into two different walls. It was impressive and enlightening at the same time. It seemed these walls and floors were capable of being manipulated just like dirt. Noticing Kenshin now entering the room through the window it seemed they all had the same idea and made it to the same place at the same time. An odd thing to happen in a rather large village, but a pleasant surprise none the less. Seeing as Kenshin had answered Tank's question and Kemuri seemed willing to accept so he would take an aggressive stance and stare at Kenshin preparing himself for the spar. It seemed he would finally have a chance to test his progress and against Kenshin. It was perfect and Tank couldn't wait to begin, but he decided not to be the first one to make a move knowing he was the slowest of the group he needed to take advantage of blind spots and land some hits on Kenshin while he was unable to react. This was really the only way Tank knew he would be able to land any hits during this battle.

Smirking as the two others took their stances and prepared for combat Kenshin would decide that playing with the two of them was unwise as they were surely not on the same level as they once were, now much more powerful. His cold black eyes peering over both of them they would slowly transition to an ominous crimson red, three tomoe emerging from his pupil in a triangular formation. His eyes seemed to glow with a dim light, his sharingan, the purest form of sight had been activated to aid him in combat with the two others. Knowing full well the strengths and weaknesses of both of them he decided upon going after Tank first while keeping a close eye on Kemuri as he was the more worrying of the two with his odd ability to transform into smoke. Taking his first big step forward he would quickly get into full stride as he ran towards Tank, specifically taking an angle at which he could monitor them both at once. Waiting to get within range of Tank he would throw a strong punch for his jaw with his left hand, attempting to test the more physically capable of the two with taijutsu and reserving his ninjutsu techniques for Kemuri. His eyes darting between them quickly it was obvious that he was taking this seriously, much more than he had in their first spar where he was easily able to combat three of them and achieve victory. Perhaps Kenshin was doing this out of nervousness or the more likely out of respect as he believed both of them deserved his best at this point in their development. Regardless of what happened with his strike towards Tank he would speak softly, just loud enough to be audible to both of them "Take this seriously, if you can't come at me like you want me dead then you'll lose". His words carried with confidence, his facial expression stoic and hardened, much more so than one would expect from somebody of his age, obviously having been a part of a great deal of combat in his days.

Watching closely as Kenshin's eyes turned from their normal black to red with three tomoe, Kemuri knew that he were taking this battle much more seriously than he had the last one they were in. Kemuri felt as though he should try his luck in taijutsu at this point, seeing as it were just the very start of the spar. Sure that he would be much less skilled and useful than Tank was in fighting Kenshin up close, Kemuri was very prepared to use his very unique ability of transformation, and using it fairly liberally at that. As he closed in on Kenshin, who was now essentially in Tanks face, he noticed that his speed was essentially even to that of Kenshin's though he figured he was holding back some. Once within range of Kenshin, he would do a fairly standard attack at him, jumping in a spin towards him with his leg outstretched to hopefully strike him in the back or side. It was pretty obvious that he didn't have much of an idea of what exactly he was doing this close up, but he was giving it his best in taijutsu at the moment, and hopefully that would be enough to get some sort of strike on him, even if it really didn't do much in the way of damage against him.
Assuming the attack had missed, Kemuri would afterwards land fairly closely to Kenshin and jump back, really only using the melee encounter as a distraction so Tank could get some sort of attack in on him while he were distracted, if he were actually distracted at all that is. Tank was too close for Kemuri to perform any of his jutsu, so instead, he put his hand into a weapon pouch on his thigh and quickly threw out two shuriken towards Kenshin, one where he was currently standing, and the other a little behind him so as to prevent him from jumping back away from the first without having to do something about the other.

Tank would notice as Kenshin moved forward at him in a rather fast motion compared to his own speed. As he closed the somewhat sort distance Tank knew he couldn't run away or take the punch outright without being injured a good deal so he did the first thing that popped into his head. Activating the earth spear jutsu he had learned from Kenshin himself he Tank would now be able to take the hit without any damage and counter with an attack of his own. As the punch landed on Tank's chin he hardly moved at all showing the increased strength and health he had gained from the justu. While keeping the technique active Tank decided his counter move would be to get Kenshin up in the air so he was vulnerable. Right after Kenshin made contact with Tank's face he would lean backward and and to the his left side and bring his right foot upward toward Kenshin's chin attempting to knock him up into the air. This attack was actually much faster and stronger than he was normally capable of and would most likely deal a decent amount of damage if he Tank connected. (91 strength and 38 speed) As for Kemuri's attack hopefully it would land on Kenshin's back or side as he was launched into the air throwing him a decent distance away from both Tank and Kemuri giving them time to coordinate an attack together and finally beat Kenshin.

Making contact with Tank's face Kenshin could instantly tell something was different, his skin was hard, like stone and his skin was a much darker shade than before. Being a technique Kenshin had taught the both of them it was easy to spot to say the least, and he knew a counterattack would follow. Having kept a close eye on Kemuri this whole time it was no secret that he was approaching and at the same time it was not difficult to follow the movements of Tank as it seemed he was performing a similar if not identical technique that Kenshin had already learned. Following Tank's movements with his sharingan he would quickly begin shifting his body to the right to try and avoid Tank's strike and at the same time bringing his left hand up and swiping to the side to try and place a hand on Tank's knee to shove it in the opposite direction that Kenshin was moving to help him avoid the strike as well as throw him off balance as he was only standing on one leg. His attention now immediately turning towards Kemuri as he was closing in he would turn to face him as he attempted to kick him. Reaching out his right hand at the same time he would try to grab Kemuri's ankle. If successful he would simply twist his body to use Kemuri as a club to slam into the side of Tank before releasing them and allow them to tumble all over each other. Honestly not finding the likeliness of this happening minimal as Kemuri would likely just turn into smoke Kenshin would still keep his wits about him, watching both of them very closely with his sharingan eyes, his head constantly shifting from one direction to the other to never lose track of either one of them.

Exactly as Kenshin suspected, Kemuri turned his leg into smoke as he went to grab for it, Kenshin's arm going directly through the smoke which was his leg. Still performing the action from the previous post, Kemuri would launch the shuriken towards Kenshin from about five meters away immediately before performing several seals and holding the last. The ground around him begun to seem to liquify and turn to mud, although it were concrete, and begin rushing in the direction of Kenshin in a five meter diameter at a pretty slow speed, though still faster than Tank could go at max (35 power and speed). After the mud settled, presumably not striking Kenshin, Kemuri would watch where he were standing carefully as if he were aiming something. He were thinking that it would be a good idea to try and do something that included combining jutsu together to create combos, and hopefully he would be able to do that with the mud he had just created. Whether or not he could actually do anything with this mud, he planned on launching several more jutsu in Kenshin's direction as the battle progressed and would not let up until somebody had lost or they decided that they were to end the spar. This battle was thrilling to him, one of the few things that actually invoked emotion from him, and he hoped that it wouldn't be over too quickly.
