Leaving The Village

We barely knew you

Tomoya had happened to be near the gates, siting on a bench reading from his new fuinjutsu book. Fuinjutsu seemed even more interesting than Genjutsu, especially once Tomoya thought about applying seals that were combined with nin and genjutsu. The day seemed to be going well, Tomoya was currently reading up on curse seals as he had learned of this specific brand that apparently had been created from the juugo clan dna. It was interesting, especially seeing as Tomoya knew that Den possessed that bloodline.

Tomoya was wishing the book had more info on such seals when a boy had run past, but he didn't get much further, maybe 30 meters, before the man who had let Tomoya into the village appeared in front of him. A short conversation transpired, apparently the boy was trying to leave the village. He had made it about 10 meters outside the gate.

The boy at first didn't seem to be that hostile, until he began to make a hand seal. That was when the wires came out, fairly quickly in fact, and severed the boys hands. Tomoya blinked in surprise, he had not expected the event to become so violent. Watching the hands drop the the ground, Tomoya wondered if the action was justified, the boy had disobeyed the Raikage and had made seals, but his chakra had been so low that he didn't seem like any threat. Thinking that perhaps the Raikage meant to have the boys arms fixed at a hospital, and the temporary delimbing was the punishment, Tomoya stood up and walked away from the gate, wanting to find a better reading spot.

That was when the kage spoke, saying goodbye to the boy, and Tomoya felt the chakra flare and boy's life extinguished. He did not break pace, or even look back to see, he just kept going, he really needed to get back to his book.
