Unloading and new path

Youta did not like when people were walking up to her from behind, especially when their chakra was flaring quite intensely for her to sense it without giving any effort. So at one point she considered putting on a little show to scare the guy off a bit. But then she remembered how it turned out last time she attempted it and that the guy started fighting back and she was forced to knock him out to settle it, so yeah... pass. After exchanging that little chat with Mitako she would look at the other guy. He and her genin seemed to know each other, though the other guy seemed to be a bit too strong for a genin, at least judging by his chakra, which dwarfed Mitako's.

When the boy inquired if Youta was from Tengakure as well, she would smile a little "Yes, actually I am this guy's sensei, believe it or not." she would gesture at Mitako like he was some puppy. She couldn't say she was surprised to hear he was bored here. If all he had done was sit on his ass after coming to the new village. She decided to tease him a bit "Have you been training with so much free time then? Show me how much better you've gotten."

Bored? Maybe Hysterio could fix that. He had no idea of course that he almost escaped a boring day himself by tailing the girl with the dragon. "You are his sensei! Already! Nice job!" Hysterio was ahppy to be around normal people for once, his unnatural exuberance a product of this fact. He turned towards Mitako. "Hey, are you still a genin too? Maybe we can spar a bit! What do you think? That should liven up your day a bit, huh? Then you can show your teacher if you have improved much!"

As he spoke, he picked up a rock and used the "Rock Section Cane" jutsu on it, starting to form a stick about a meter and a half long, and three centimeters thick. The rock was growing slowly, but if Mitako gave him enough time, it would work better than the Vibro Blades which he also carried on his person. Speaking of which... he would take off his other weapons, placing them on the ground nearby so that they would not get in the way. He did not want to hurt any one more than would be appropriate for a sparring match. The weapons being in a small pile, he lowered a 6 meter long, square hole around them to a depth of 5 meters, raising the center back to ground height just afterwards so that the pile was harder to reach and anyone digging through towards the weapons he was stashing, would be easily noticeable due to the small size of the supporting pillar.

He then turned back to Mitako and said "I can make you one of these too given a little time, then we both have something to use, unless you want to use your katana instead. This little stick here should be reasonably sturdy but i would prefer to avoid a trip to the hospital."

Mitako choked on his spit when he heard Youta tell him to show her how he's improved. He did so again when Hysterio seemed to back her up on that. Deep down, he knew he couldn't lay a scratch on either of them, but the wee little whisper in the back of his head told him to fight. 

"I'll decline on the rock... sword?" He questioningly stated, and held out his hand. The sand below him begin to flow to his palm, and mimicking Hysterio's natural weapon, Mitako formed it into the same shape. Though his weapon would likely be less durable, he could reform it in an instant. Mitako swung it around for a moment, to get a feel for it, and was unsatisfied with how some of the sand seemed to flow and break away from it. He condensed the chakra a bit, making it a bit more firm. The boy swung it and twirled it in his hands again for a moment, deciding it probably wouldn't get any better.

Turning to Hysterio, he took his sand sword, held it out in front of him ready to defend, and said "Don't kill me." Mitako knew he couldn't match him, but maybe he would learn something from this little spar. Like, how to treat cracked ribs or a minor concussion.

[Since we're sparring, and it won't take more than a few posts, I say we omit a few rules (it shouldn't last long enough for us to run out of AP, and I'm unsure if I can make weapons out of the sand soo...). If that's OK with you. If not, PM me and lemme edit. Let's just say the stick is around half the durability of Hysterio's.]

[You probably shouldn't make weapons with that skill, given that it has no health stat. If you want to, you could make a derived jutsu. But I don't mind you doing so in this fight, so let's go ahead. I don't mind ignoring AP either, if that is what you suggested.

This was getting interesting, the other genin, as Youta understood, used some sort of jutsu to create a rock staff and put his weapons on the ground, while Mitako created a blade out of sand. That was quite a unique ability as well and seemed to be some sort of advanced element or something, the female had no known he possessed such ability. This has actually spun out of what she had first intended, as the other genin suggested it be a spar and Mitako did not really decline. Smiling slightly she would put her right hand on the hilt of a ninjato on her back, around her waist. She had an amusing idea. "Well, then. This looks like it will be fun, I guess I can't back out now, but let us make this a two versus two."

With a faint whistle Cael would be woken, opening his eyes and sighing, or snorting as it would be interpreted by humans. He would immediately spot Youta, who was holding her hand on a weapon and standing before two armed males. Jumping up he would flap his wings a couple times, getting maybe a meter above the ground before dropping down next to his master, the dragon's wings casting a shadow onto her, his tail arcing around her and his head only half a meter from hers. "We will train, Cael. Don't be too rough." The sanctuary dragon was surprised by her words, she was not in danger? But he did not get to feel disappointed or angered. He would get to fight humans, even if for a training. This might be quite fun. "Come when ready!"

(shall we just assume all our used weapons are indestructable then for the purposes of training to avoid having to remake them? :P)

Mitako was quite nervous at the thought of having to demonstrate his skills in front of his teacher, and more so at the thought of having to fight Hysterio, almost as if he could feel that Hysterio was stronger than before. Hysterio wanted to give the other a chance so he took off his Chakra Converter as well, from under his shirt, and put it quickly into one of his weapon pouches, nestling it in between the Shuriken so that it was cushioned slightly. Returning, a good ten meters between his original spot and where his items were, he figured there should be plenty of room for a spar.

Interestingly enough, Mitako was able to form his own weapon for the time being, but not the way Hysterio had made his. Instead, he had formed the weapon out of sand and the nerd could have sworn he was training sand stuff last time they had worked out together. Making a mental note to ask him about it later, he held his new stick in front of him at a diagonal angle to his body, the stick pointing up to the sky at a tangent. “I don’t think this thing could kill you if I wanted it too Mitako, short of poking your eye or something, it is not very strong, only for blocking really, or giving warnings to bad academy students…”

Then the other, Mitako’s teacher, suddenly suggested a 2 on 2. What? It was then when the dragon thingy woke up and looked decidedly unhappy and threatening, that Hysterio realized that probably she meant for him self and Mitako to fight as a team. Oh. “Ok, which one do you want to fight, Mitako?” Hysterio asked. He figured he should probably take the teacher himself, considering how little confidence Mitako had but you never know, that dragon did not look appetizing either.

It occurred to him how useful the Bringer of Darkness jutsu would have been in this situation. A mere flash of darkness would all it would take for him to sneak up behind the opponent, or to summon a friend to help, or to prepare a mighty sword attack. Well, beggars can’t be choosers and there were worse things to need. Still, he began reviewing the details of the Bringer of Darkness jutsu in his mind. He remembered the last time he had been practicing genjutsu with Mitako, he had been frightening mice. This time, if he tried it in the middle of a spar a rather nasty tempered seeming dragon might decide Hysterio was a nice snack, so he would have to be careful. “Oh, yeah, shall we limit this to weapons and basic taijutsu or such? I don’t know if any of us are capable of destroying the land scape of our hosts.”

[Indestructible sticks? Fine with me. Youta?]

While he was sure that Hysterio had grown, he was unsure if he could try his hand at Youta. At the same time, he felt a bit like he hindered Hysterio in this round about, assuming that at the most he'd be a minor inconvenience for their opponents. The beast in his head, the one tail, now called for blood and entertainment. Probably Mitako's, but nonetheless blood. He thought to himself "At least they can't hear it."

Appearing to have no way (I mean, he could always say he stubbed his toe, but that's no fun) to escape his fate, Mitako looked his opponent-turned-ally in the eyes and nodded lazily a few times before realizing that he was being asked which one he wanted to take on. Mitako stammered out a "O-oh. I'll... uhhh..." He thought for a moment, going over the possibilities. The genin had already faced the wrath of Youta twice, and both times were met with the same result: his ass being handed to him on a silver platter. The dragon though, was an unknown thing to him. It could be insanely powerful, or it could be closer to where he was at. 

Deciding to take his chances he would go for the dragon, hoping it wasn't as tough as it looked. "I'll get the dragon. Watch out for her, if her eyes glow it means it's and you're gonna hurt," he warned, hopefully sparing Hysterio the same experience that he had when she used a technique on him. 

He then began to think of a strategy about the dragon.

[I'm fine with indestructible sticks. I used a blade genjutsu on you in that thread, I believe. Don't remember if Youta had her doujutsu active, but if she did then I suppose you could think those were related. But let's assume it makes sense for you to think her doujutsu has gen abilities etc and go on]

The Chuunin would stay silent as the boys decided who they will fight. It was wishful thinking to assume she would just let them fight one on one, when this was a two on two fight. But she decided not to stop them. She was eager to fight this other guy whose name she did not know yet. After his little proposal the girl would reply. "Sure, no advanced stuff. Before we begin, it would seem I don't know your name yet. Mine's Youta by the way." While he replied, if he did, Youta would stroke Cael's head. When all talks were over she would take her hand away and the dragon would leap forward. After making two steps towards Mitako the beast would lunge to his right and whip his tail at the Genin would be about two meters away. In the mean time Youta would begin by swinging her right arm vertically, unleashing a fan of three kunais at her own opponent, the blades aimed to scratch his leg, side and shoulder.

The sensei of Mitako introduced herself as Youta. Hysterio held his make shift sword in a guard position. It seemed he was the only one who had dropped his equipment for the time being, the others might have tricks up their sleeves. Especially Mitako. The sand thing was pretty cool honestly.
After the other spoke, he introduced himself was well. “I am Hysterio.” He watched her closely, since Mitako seemed to prefer the dragon monster thing. Hopefully that thing was not too fast or Mitako might get overwhelmed. When the girl reached for the throwing implements, Hysterio would notice, there could only be one reason to reach like that. Just as her hand would be beginning its motion towards him in order to toss the weapons at him, he would start building up his momentum, running sideways just before the weapons would be released from her grip, assuming she was not able to change the direction of fire, the weapons would miss him by about a meter. Not wanting her to have more room to throw items, he continued circling, coming closer by a little every step, watching for her to make a movement. While he ran he said “Mitako, she may well throw some your way too, watch out.”

In the back of his mind, he was thinking over how he could most efficiently cast the Bringer of Darkness jutsu, since that seemed to only affect the people that the user wished it too. A good example was when the Third Hokage of Konoha was forced to fight both the first and second Hokages, courtesy of Orochimaru, a powerful rogue shinobi. In that fight, the Third Hokage had been blinded by the very same genjutsu when it was cast by the First Hokage but the Second Hokage did not seem affected and presumably neither was Orochimaru. Perhaps if he created just a soft field of chakra around him that could cast the genjutsu….

(I don't mean to be that person, but this is the first time I've ever got to quote someone, so I'm excited. "She would prepare two kunai with her left hand while holding the ninjato with her right. As that was happening, a faint blue light would appear in her eyes, able to see the chakra being built up, as well as the chakra forming the clones, when the technique was finally activated." Now, this is probably a misunderstanding on my part somewhere along the line, but to Mitako, the eye glowing and the death by a thousand cuts are related. Also, since the sand manipulation technique is pretty vague about how much control you have over it, I'm assuming I can use it like this.)


The stick he made of sand may have proved it's use against Hysterio, but against Cael, as he heard Youta call it, the stick would prove unaffective. Dropping it, he noticed the dragon coming at him. With little to no time to react he would raise his arms and a thin wall of sand, but to no avail. The dragons tail would smack into the genin knocking him over. Instead of getting up, he would use a technique that Hysterio helped him learn. Sinking into the ground, he would use the Hiding Like A Mole technique to burrow his way approximately five or six meters to the dragons left, where he would burst out of the ground. 

Rather than move to attack, he wold stand in place, arms pointed to the ground palms out, and manipulate the sand in front of him into a three meter wide misshapen sphere, which he would hurl (without touching) at the dragon. (50 speed)

Well, it looked like Hysterio would not let himself be hit that easily. Starting to move just as she threw the blades would make them miss. Unsheathing the ninjato with her left hand and another kunai appearing in her right out of her sleeve the Chuunin would start her jog towards the boy. She was excited, as always, when it came to blade fights. And since he himself had already suggested no advanced stuff, the girl expected not to be troubled with high ranked techniques like one of her Genins tried to use in their last fight. Meaning she wouldn't need to step out of her way to deal with that and could just enjoy this.

On the other front Mitako seemed to fail to block Cael's tail swipe and would hit the ground. The dragon was unimpressed, although he was somewhat intrigued by the unique ability the boy possessed, to manipulate sand. That seemed quite opposite of his own powers. If he planned to kill him, the beast would have aimed a vertical swipe to hit the boy just as he landed from the hit, making it rather difficult to dodge. But this was training so he decided to let him stand up, the dragon wanted to measure the boy he was fighting first, before pushing. When he saw that Mitako was not standing, but actually sinking into the ground instead, Cael would flap his wings twice for a lift off. By hovering about two meters above the ground he intended to make sure he could not be attacked from the ground, as that was where his opponent seemed to be hiding. When his nose caught up the boy's scent again, he would turn in that direction and spot Mitako creating a sand ball and sending it Cael's way. He would respond with an ability of his own. And his tail was swung forward, water would gather around it, extending its reach and power. During the motion the tail would grow long enough to reach the boy. Making a vertical slash with it, he would aim at the ground where the Genin stood, while flapping one of his wings to make a sharp dive to the right, in order to avoid the ball of sand.
