Hotaru's Genin Exam

It was time, and Hotaru new it was. She was finally settled into Konoha and she had done her training, now she needed to go do her Genin exams. She woke up and got ready, of course Yen made her breakfast, she would definitely have to do this for him one day. She got dressed and then left for the Academy. She was nervous of course, who wouldn't be. The word TEST makes anyone nervous! She had done the training so there was no way she could fail! Now to await her turn.

The proctor made her way to the examination room, curious to see the new student attempting to make genin. Upon entering, she smiled and said "Please perform the clone and substitution jutsu."

Hotaru had been trained by Yen for these exams. He had even trained her for more than just this, he had trained her to use other jutsus as well! The bugs began to buzz and hum inside of her as though trying to soothe her so she could concentrate! Since being in Konoha her boyfriend, Yen, had taught her to understand her bugs and how to use them, and even taught her a little about her element! And as she previously mentioned, taught her the important jutsus for the Genin exam! Now, she just needed to focus and prove she could do it. These exams were not that hard anyway, anyone could pass if they just tried. After much talking to herself to prepare herself, she entered the room as her name was called She still had her sunglasses on and her jacket as well as she walked into the classroom and stood in front of the instructor. Ah, the two easiest jutsus in the world to do, clone and substitution. Not to mention, her instructor seemed to be a very nice lady! She nodded her head in agreement as she decided to perform the substitution justsu first, because it was the one she was not fond of doing.
She could feel the bugs buzzing excitedly. Alright Hotaru Aburame, show them what you got! She thought to herself as she moved her fingers up and did the appropriate hand sign. Feeling a slightly dizzying feeling as she noted the white smoke she beamed engulfed in, she remained focus! This was just part of the process. Suddenly she appeared next to her body and a log appeared in her original spot. She did take note that two of her kikaichu were on the log! Hmm, I didn't give them permission to leave, maybe that's just because this is the more difficult jutsu for me and they sense it. Shrugging she performed the jutsu one more time to return to her original position. Not bad this time no bugs were left behind! This was definitely something she would have to question Yen about.  Now she had to do one more jutsu, not to difficult of one, it was one she found quite simple, the clone jutsu!
It reminded her of the jutsus she had been practicing recently, she wanted to make a bug clone and attempt to create a water clone! The water clone was not going so well considering she kept making a bigger mess to clean up than actually creating a clone! At least she had the basic clone jutsu mastered at this point! She looked at the instructor with a smile. "Now for the last jutsu ! This was the easiest of all my jutsus to master." She said feeling rather proud of herself. Maybe it was going a little over board to be proud of yourself for such a basic child jutsu, but all jutsus no matter how powerful or weak are very important in the life of a ninja!
Making the proper hand signs for the clone jutsu, she smiled as her body vanished in a huge puff of solid white smoke! It felt strange, as though her body was being torn into three pieces, yet she had no feeling in the other two parts of her body that split from her original body! As the smoke cleared there were two clones created, one on either side of her body! Even though it feels as though the process takes a while, apparently it happens almost instantly. She took the hand of each clone and they all bowed before the instructor. As they all straightened up from the bow, she broke the jutsu causing each one to simultaneously vanish in a large puff of white smoke!
She had successfully done both jutsus as asked, and honestly, she could feel the chakra she had used because now she was rather tired. Well, she did kind of over do it slightly because she was so proud of herself. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, it was just a fact of life that Hotaru would have to learn to deal with. After the exam she was going to go home and relax, she felt as though she had earned it, she had done a massive amount of training this week after all. She looked at the instructor through her sunglasses waiting on the reply, and hoping she had earned her headband! This was an easy exam, but none the less she was ready to leave and take a nap, maybe eat first, but the nap was in the future regardless! "Did I pass?" She asked the instructor lady. She doubted the lady was impressed, after all, how many more people would she have to deal with after her?

"Excellent," the examiner cheered at the young lady's success. "You pass, here, take this headband and wear it with pride as you are now a genin of the Leaf."
