Power of the Waves (Kuro/NK)
Mon Apr 27, 2015 4:10 am
Kiru sat down, the waves of a small pool in the cave gently washing over him. He was somewhere in the cave, he hadn't really been paying much attention to where he was going, he just needed somewhere to stay for a while. To train, and to think. His coat, and swords hung on a outcropping of rocks a few feet away, leaving Kiru's chest uncovered. He had come here to train, so he should at least do that. He had a few jutsu to cover today, one of his own genius making, if he could give himself such an honor. and the others were a mix of his and the water element. He had stumbled through the library the dragons kept, and had picked a few he enjoyed to train up and figure out how to use. A few were similar to ones he already knew, so that should make it helpful in acquiring their ability. He sighed to himself, and wrapped a small piece of cloth around his forehead to keep any sweat out of his eyes. He had to get all of these perfectly for him to be happy, and he may as well finish up mastering his shadow sewing as well.
The first one was called Water Fang Bullet, and appeared to be a sort of corkscrewing attack of water. It had seemed useful to him, so learning it sounded like a good idea. He slowly preformed the hand seals, feeling the water in the pool at his feet. This would be what he used to use the jutsu, and was necessary for it to work. He breathed in deeply, and exhaled slowly, feeling the water all around him and flowing his chakra along with it. The water below him slowly corkscrewed up, but it was a small amount, and not nearly what he wanted. That was okay though, he had plenty of things to train, and this was only one of them. He held the corkscrew of water, feeling how it shifted and turned as he breathed in and out. As long as he could keep it up he would get used to how it was made and formed, and should be able to handle it a little more efficiently. He started to slowly let it back into the water, not wanting to drain himself on his first jutsu. It slowly splashed down, and he consulted the scroll for the next one.
Next was a jutsu called Stormy Blockade. It seemed to be a more violent version of Rain Tiger, which was fine with him. The Rain storm was useful, and summoning a crashing wave from the sky would prove just as helpful. Once again, he breathed in slowly, and gently. Preforming the hand signs, he used the moisture around him. Attempting to mix his chakra with it to form a cloud. Some water did float up, but not nearly enough or in the way he wanted. This one would prove to be a bit difficult in the long run, but that was okay. He held the moisture around him, his eyes shut in concentration as he attempted to fuse his chakra into the droplets. It was a little more difficult when you attempted to give them sheer power all on their own. He continued to breathe slowly, not wanting to overtax himself. He wouldn't get any help from this if he became too tired to continue. The moisture slowly began to lower as Kiru couldn't easily hold it up. He felt no shame for not getting it on his first try. He had plenty of time.
Next was a jutsu he had started learning to use in his research to improve his spectre seal. This wind jutsu strengthened his body with the pure power of the wind, and he felt if he could learn it, he would be that much better off in battles. It would increase his speed more then his initial spectre form, so he should be able to use it a little more regularly. He breathed in once again, feeling the power in his form. The wind chakra seeping into his body. It was a little difficult, as he was used to using wind to affect the outer world, not his own inner form. The wind picked up around his body, as he continued his breathing, and a small whirlwind flowed around him. His body seemed to get a small increase to its power, but not enough for Kiru to really notice it. This was fine, he could still feel the energy flowing, and the wind swirling around himself was a good sign he figured. Breathing out, Kiru slowly let the wind chakra go, needing to keep up the pace of his training, he knew he would come back to this one.
Next was a wind jutsu highly compatible with fire jutsu, and simply good at blinding opponents. It was called dust cloud, and was a little different then most jutsu Kiru would consider wind style. This one created a dark cloud, with the chakra taking on a gritty texture and being more similar to earth then wind. However, the cloud itself was very easily set off into an explosive blaze should Kiru make so much as a spark, providing he could do so. The explosive potential seemed to be kept within the cloud though, so at least he had that for himself. For this jutsu, breathing in was a valuable step necessary in its very formation, as a breath out would spew the cloud forth. He breathed in deeply and exhaled for a trial, and then the next time, breathed in slowly. He preformed the hand seals slowly as he felt the gritty chakra fill his lungs. Concentrating on the odd formation, he let the breath out, releasing a small dark cloud. Not quite as big as it should be, but at least he had gotten part one down, which was the texture of the chakra in the first place. Sighing, he prepared for the next one.
The next one was a super duper big one. A wave jutsu he had known Kira to use, and h himself very much had wanted it. The great Exploding Colliding Wave. With this he could easily topple buildings and flood small areas should he need to. It was a very powerful jutsu, and its use shouldn't be taken lightly by anyone, especially an ameature water user such as himself. He meditated for a minute or so, preparing his body for the formation of such a large and powerful jutsu. Even as he formed the chakra outwards he could feel the weight behind it. He breathed in and out, still continuously. He had to keep up his breathing or this would go nowhere. He slowly preformed the seals, and called upon the waves inwardly. With every seal it was a struggle between his chakra and the waves behind him. He wanted to increase their size, and very damage potential. To make them capable of supreme destruction should he need it. The waves responded to his call, hitting the shore harder, and faster. Not quite reaching the strength he needed, but not below expectations. Once again he breathed inwardly, focusing all his energy. The waves push and pull had to match his own rhythm, to be lifted out of the ocean and slammed into the land. So the waters themselves could invade the land and force out the enemies of himself and his friends. His concentration held, and he breathed deeply, and concentrated fully on the task. The waves felt strong, and gravity, wanting to keep them on their path, was slowly bending to his will. His brow furrowed in concentration as he continued the push and pull, making their height greater, and their power much more formidable. The more he pushed, the harder it seemed to get, but he wouldn't give up yet. He wasnt even tired yet. The waves crashed around his legs as he called, no, demanded their power. His very being forcing them forward with every push of his chakra. He wouldn't be done with just this much. He may not get it on his first try, but he'd be dammned if he didn't dive it his best shot. His breathing kept his steady pace as the water slammed at his legs, almost at a force to knock him down, but not quite their yet. He forced his power outward, his chakra laced with lines of silver as his spectre seal decided to give him a helping hand in this endeavor. The waves height increased dramatically, not quite where he wanted it, but njot half bad for his first try. He exhaled again as the waves rose behind him. He was almost ready to move on to the next jutsu, he just had to move this one a little farther, a little better. The waves stopped flowing for a few moments, growing in size in response to Kiru's demand. He wouldn't be beaten just yet. The waves grew just about to their max height, and then crashed down. Kiru was overtaken by his own waves and slid across the beach a little clumsily.
Kiru stood back up, brushing sand off himself he sighed. He had almost gotten it, he just needed a little more, just a bit more of a push and he would get it. He didn't quite understand why everything had to be so hard for him all the time, but at least he was getting the hang of it. Once he had this set down, he would be a little more powerful.
Next was his own genius creation, a shield for blocking all manner of nasty things. He called it Rho Aias, or the 5 element shield. It would both defend him and repel dangerous things that he wanted no where near him. He concentrated and formed the gesture for the shield, first a could hand seals and then his hand stretched outwards. The seal would dimly appear on the boys hand, and he would concentrate his power into it to the best of his abilities. The seal glowed a faint purple, but the actual seal had yet to form. He grabbed his wrist with his other hand, and continued the force of his chakra outward to the best of his abilities. It was difficult, and the shield itself wasn't easy to work with, but he could do it. He had invented, he damn well had better be able to form the thing. A small purple outline appeared in front of Kiru's hand and he exhaled. At least he had made some kind of progress with it. He'd just have to move on to the next one and get back to this one.
He figured he should get back to Stormy Blockade He would get it this time for sure. He concentrated once again, his breathing slowing as he concentrated. He shut his eyes and imagined the flow of water throughout the entire area, the pond, the waterfalls, every drop of water. Even the water falling from his own body. He lifted that moisture up with his chakra, infusing the two. It took immense concentration, and immense energy, but it wasn't anything he hadn't experienced before. In fact this was relatively more simple then what he usually did when training with Kira. he breathed slowly and exhaled as he continued to slowly preform the handseals. Ever so slowly he was becoming stronger and stronger, the chakra easily fusing with the water once he concentrated. It was a simple task for him, and he could preform it ablel-y once he had gotten used to it. The water above him formed into a small cloud and he smiled inwardly at his success. Now he just had to bring it crashing down around him, to command the heavens themselves to strike the earth. With the final seal, the water slammed into the earth, and crashed all around the boy. He sighed, one down, quite a few to go.
Next he had to get that spiral death wave.. or water fang bullet down. He almost wanted to call it his special beam wave, or special drill wave. He personally felt like he should be able to rename any jutsu he owned. Its not like the original creators were in any shape to hunt him down. Shaking his head to get rid of the distracting thoughts, he preformed the hand seals for this jutsu once again. This time he had it down, just like stormy blockade. He slowly did the hand seals, continuing his breathing exercise, and the water responded to his will. He had the pool swirl into a whirlpool, not wanting to raise it just yet. He needed to gather its power, and slam its drilling point into the ground as fast and hard as he could. Breathing out, the whirlpool grew in strength and power as Kiru continued his concentration. He wouldn't be missing it this time. He hit the last seal, and the drilling wave spilled out of the pool, slamming into the ground, drilling a significantly sized hole into the ground, and Kiru didn't stop there. He hit the ground with the full force of the jutsu until he was satisfied. Seeing a good amount of destruction, he decided to move to the next.
Next was to finish the Wind Glaive. With his previous successes, he could only hope this one would go just as well. Then again, he had no reason to believe it would go badly. Wind was what he was good at after all, so he should be able to get this down fairly simple, or at least that's what Kiru figured. Once again he preformed the seals, and concentrated the wind around him inward. It wasn't easy, not like when he used wind on the corporeal world, but this one would invigorate his body. He should be able to move a lot more rapidly with this. He concentrated, keeping his mind focused on the task ahead of him the best he could. His body began to feel lighter, as if the wind was picking it up. His hair seemed to float up, becoming more spiked and windblown. Wind seemed to twirl around his feet in gusts. The boy exhaled slowly and could feel the new energy around and within him. This wasn't as powerful as his seal was fully, but it cost a little less on his body, and that was something he could use.
Next he needed to perfect dust cloud to the best of his abilities. This one would be perfectly helpful to his dragons, as they could all ignite it and cause it to explode like he wanted it to be able to. This jutsu was a bit more supplementary if he couldn't do that, making a good smokescreen, but being similar to hidden mist other then the exploding factor. He sighed as he prepared himself for it, making sure to remember the feelings from before. He slowly prepared the hand seals like he did before, inhaling sharply, but slowly. He formed the chakra within his lungs, feeling the odd prickly sensation as the jutsu was being prepared. He had to do the signs slowly for the proper preparation, but he was feeling how the jutsu was supposed to go. This was a simple task to the boy, as the wind, even with the weird texture, still began to feel like an extension to himself. The way it worked was more in tune to his being then his water jutsu. With a great breath, he exhaled, spewing the ash cloud in front of him in a wide area. Breathing in again to fill his lungs with clean oxygen, he smiled to himself.
Now he just had to perfect his own jutsu, the barrier Rho Aias. It shouldn't be that hard, he had almost gotten it the last time he had tried it. Now he just had to do it and do it right without messing up this time. He sighed and mentally prepared himself for the outburst of energy that was properly needed for the effect. It was a good jutsu, if a little hard to pull off. He slowly preformed the hand seals, the seal appearing on his left hand as he did so. The energy came off purple, due to the concentration of his normal chakra. He was pretty positive he could do it, as he outstretched his arm and exhaled. He pushed the chakra outward, and not just out of his body. The chakra in the shield had to not only block, but completely repel. To send things back the way they came if possible. The purple ring slowly began to form and Kiru smiled, concentrating to push his chakra just a little further. Slowly the petals formed and began spinning. Kiru released it and breathed a little more from the taxation from the training. He wasn't positive he would get Colliding done, but he had to at least make more progress.
Once again, Kiru stepped into the waves of the pool he had been training in, preparing his chakra. He didn't focus on completing the jutsu, just lifting the waves. Getting as far as he could, so he could at least be proud that he tried his best. The water flowed out of the pool as Kiru concentrated his chakra. He breathed in and out slowly as the waves rose to a small height. His body was tired and exhausted, but he still pressed on the best he could. He just had to get the waves a little farther. Slowly, the waves raised out of the water and Kiru pushed as best as he could, to get them as far as he could. Up and far as possible. With this, he would be just a little better, just a little more powerful. His concentration was pushed to its limit as he felt the water raising. He exhaled, dropping the waves. Breathing hard, he sat down. He needed a short break before coming back to that.

Re: Power of the Waves (Kuro/NK)

Kuro was getting kind of irritated. He felt like something needed to get done. They were spending a lot of time just sitting around and training. He wanted to go get some REAL experience! He wanted to do a mission, fight some bad guys, save some civilians, earn money! He wanted to go be useful! Not stuck inside all day every day. Being surrounded by dragons was starting to lose it's luster, even Vixie was starting to be completely unafraid of the large ones! So, Kuro decided to go have a talk with Kiru about it. But he wasn't gonna just walk around. That would still be boring. Instead, Kuro called Vixie over and had her nip his hand so it bled. He then drew a large symbol and poured in a large chunk of his chakra. Terroth was summoned and looked at his surroundings before he grumbled angrily at Kuro.
"I thought I told you not to summon me unless there was a foe for me to fight! I see nothing hostile in the area!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know. We're gonna go say hi to Kiru though and he likes to spar with me, so you might get to fight with him. No need to get upset. I just wanted you here before I got into the middle of anything.
"...Very well. I'll accept this excuse, this time. Which way is he then, this Kiru?"
Kuro grinned and climbed up onto Terroth's back, steadying himself with a hand on the back of the Hydra's neck and pointing with his free hand.
"Over there somewhere I think."
"You THINK!? We're going to find someone who may or may not fight me and you don't even know where he is!?"
"Oh shush. No need to get all mad. Look at this as a good stretch for your legs."
The Hydra stood motionless for a few moments before sighing and shaking his head, then walking in the direction Kuro had pointed.
After walking around for a bit and saying hello to a few passing dragons, Kuro finally spotted Kiru. "Heyyyy! Kiruuu! I'm borrrrred! This is terroth! He's bored too! You wanna spar or something!?"

Re: Power of the Waves (Kuro/NK)

Kiru sort of just blinked at the massive beast Kuro had brought with him. The boy wasn't..particularly sure he wanted to fight that, but if it was training, he really didn't have a ton of choice. Helping out his comrades was what he was best at, so he had to do it. He held up a finger in a hold on sort of way, and retrieved his coats. His blue one went on first, followed by the Koukan coat, giving himself a nice little black and blue outfit scheme. Next he walked a couple of paces near Kuro. "Training couldn't hurt, though I am a little worn out. Though in the end, I guess that helps out. Tell me when your ready and maybe..give some background on your friend here."
Kiru sized the beast up a bit, and imagined it had to have some sort of relation to a species of dragon, it just looked more on the fish side of things. Water techniques probably wouldn't help him against it, though it would still give him practice and Kuro an edge in the fight. In any case, Kiru did want to see the power of Kuro's summon to see how it matched up to the dragons he himself used.
Kiru decided to start out the battle with Wind Glaive, giving him an increased EDGE, should he need it. The wind around his body picked up and his hair stood up on end in a wind swept style. His bones felt lighter, and he felt closer to his natural element then he did on an average day. Kuro wasn't that strong, but he was clever. He could come up with odd strategies that worked on a near constant basis, and to be honest it scared him a bit. Kiru's coat floated a bit as if caught in a breeze, as Kiru prepared himself for whatever Kuro brought to the table. His water style techniques were better then Kiru's, probably by default, and he could dissolve his body. Kiru hadn't found a way around that, though he thought that perhaps he had to hit faster then the boy could melt he may land a blow. Though he didn't know if Kuro's powers worked entirely on a conscious level or if they had a subconscious tie in he didn't know about. In any case, he'd find out better through battle then any other method.

Kuro grinned and hopped off of Terroth's back, standing next to the large hydra's large leg. "well, like I said, his name is Terroth. He's an earth hydra and the strongest hydra I've ever summoned. I think. I haven't had much of a chance to train with him."
"No, you haven't,. You were too busy showing off for that other tiny human."
"Oh please, you love attention." Kuro pointed a thumb to terroth and rolled his eyes.
"Bah, you irritate me. The only reason I haven't left is because I hunger for a fight! Come! Let's get started already!"
Terroth stomped a foot and roared, the ground shaking around him as rocks rose up from under him and covered his entire body in large heavy stones, creating an armor of rock. Kuro looked up at Terroth and then back to Kiru. "See? I didn't even know he could do that." The young shinobi then threw a few hand signs and created two water clones at his sides and crouched down slightly as he got ready to move. "All right! I'm ready! Terroth, have fun!"
The hydra smirked slightly as it opened it's jaws and rammed it's face into the ground, lifting back up with a huge chunk of earth in his maw. With a whip of his head, Terroth launched the eight meter boulder at a speed of 50 towards Kiru.

Kiru gave a small, cocky smile as the monster prepared its attack, grabbing a rather large boulder by wrenching earth out of the ground. Kiru wasn't worried however, he had long ago perfected the art of cutting simple rock, so this wouldn't be too difficult. As it was thrown, Kiru's Black Blade would summon into his outstretched hand, the wind surrounding his body came off his blade in waves. Kiru's movements would seem extremely fast to normal onlookers, but to anyone with a high enough perception, Kiru's movements were calculated and precise. As the rock neared him, his sword was outstretched forward, ready and waiting for the attack. He breathed in, and exhaled, right before the boulder hit Kiru's sword would move at a blinding 130 speed, cutting the boulder completely in half. The cut was not just perfect, if one were to inspect the rock, the cut was smooth as paper. The two pieces would continue flying passed Kiru in two pieces, splashing into the pond. Kiru breathed in slowly, feeling the power of the wind around him. He wasn't completely sure how dangerous the rock armor around the dragon would be, but he knew it was likely covered in chakra, and therefore a little harder to cut through.
In Kiru's other hand, a summon dagger would poof into existence, Kiru throwing it immiditaly. It would seem to reach Kuro with remarkable speed, almost directly at his head. Right before impact however, Kiru would appear in a flash of silver, Flipping over Kuro and landing, his dagger desummoning. With one hand, he preformed the seal for body flicker and launched himself upwards with the jutsu. Once again, a silver flash would be all that remained as Kiru appeared on Terroths face at a speed of 230. Kiru slashed in an X across the beasts face, cracking the rock but not fully shattering it. Seeing this, Kiru backlifpped off at his full speed of 130, and landed back where he started, looking a little more thoughtful. He didn't know the limitations of the beast, other then if he hit with his full force he could slash through the armor, but his wind jutsu may decapitate the beast. For Kuro's sake, he didn't want the thing dead..just disabled. Hitting Kuro was off limits at this moment as well, until he could guage his full power in this form he didn't want to seriously injure the boy. "Its your move."

Kuro flinched when he saw the flash of the dagger nearly hit him. realizing it vanished and Kiru had returned to his position, Kuro wiped a bead of sweat from his brow. "S-Shit that was fast."
Terroth looked to Kuro wondering what he meant when he felt the armor of his face crack. The hydra growled and turned back to Kiru. "I see. A fast little man. But it doesn't matter how fast you are if you can't get through my armor!"
Kuro got a bright idea as Terroth said this and looked up to the Hydra. "Hey, can you throw some armor on me too?"
Terroth nodded and roared again, the earth building up around Kuro and creating a thick stone shell over him. "All right! Let's do this!" Kuro then tried to move and found... he couldn't. "Um... crap... this is actually really heavy Terroth!"
The hydra laughed at Kuro and leered at Kiru, hungry for a good fight. "Ha, just sit there and watch weakling! All I have to do is catch him!"
"He's way to fast you dummy!"
"He's also holding back!"
Terroth then charged forward and snapped his craggy jaws at Kiru at his measly speed of 20, but it was a rather large body to be moving at such speed. Once his jaws had snapped closed, he would let his body skid to a stop, letting it slide with the force of a wrecking ball a few feet. "Hit me with your best shot human! I haven't been injured by your kind in decades! Show me your species isn't worthless!"

Re: Power of the Waves (Kuro/NK)

This monster was a pretty cocky beast, and Kiru expected he'd have to knock it down a peg, especially after immobilizing his only teammate. They should be working together, not attacking one after the other. The two weren't in sync with each other, and without Synchronization they wouldn't fight nearly as effectively as they could. First up was obviously teaching this monster a thing or two about rushing an opponent that outmatched it in sheer speed. As the monster loomed in close, Kiru made no signs of moving as he best formulated a plan of attack. Should he severely damage the beast, Kira or Kaien could probably save it, so he went ahead with a plan that he felt fit the situation. As the beast opened its jaws, Kiru preformed a few hand seals at lightning speed, then put both his hands by his side, facing behind him. All the wind around his body seemed to converge into his palms, and then Kiru Blasted it forward, summoning an Alls-End Blade at the same time, giving the Godly Wind an extremely sharp point. The wind would blast through the beast, and due to the +70 speed due to the jutsu, his sword would help puncture a hole through the beasts neck through which the wind would explode outward from the wound.
Kiru would then immediately sidestep the beast, jumping as far to the left as he could to escape the skidding monster. Sighing, Kiru would look over towards Kuro and the likely wounded beast. "You have to fight alongside each other. At this rate, your just giving me more openings of attack, and limiting your own options. Even weaker opponents could defeat a pair of strong opponents if he sets the two against each other, its just basic strategy."
His alls end blade would summon, from wherever it had blasted too in the darkness leaving Kiru still fully equipped as he would need to continue the training. He hoped the beast wasn't too hurt, but the whole was kinda big. At least it was on the back of the beasts neck instead of the front so.. well he didn't actually know if that was any better. His Wind Glaive jutsu still was holding up nicely and he pretty much had the hang of it. He'd probably switch to a new move soon, just to make sure they were all battle ready.

Terroth groaned and swayed slightly as he turned to face Kiru, Kuro unable to even turn his head to look at his teacher. The hydra spit a chunk of rubble to the side and laughed at Kiru after he finished speaking. "Oh Kuro will be fine. He just needs to train up his strength a bit more so he can move around in my armor. And do me a favor, if you're gonna go for my neck, don't leave the job unfinished. Take off the whole thing, cause I gotta say, this hurts like hell."
Terroth then grabbed another boulder from the ground while Kuro got fed up with this stupid rock armor. He quietly liquified and slipped through the cracks to join with his now melted water clones in the puddle around his feet. Terroth then hurled the boulder into the air, then stretching out his neck as he let it fall towards his bloody injury. Provided Kiru didn't stop it with his superhero like speed and sword, the boulder would crush the Hydra's neck with enough force to remove his head. The large beast's body would then stumble around headless for a few seconds before falling to the ground limp.
