Draconis wandered through the streets. He remembered that one of his team mates, a boy named Salzem, had been using the art of Taijutsu quite frequently during their mission together. He wandered through the streets, perhaps he would see the other boy again. In the mean time he began throwing punches into the air, imagining he was braining Hyuuga scum as he walked.

Salzem was practicing his taijutsu outside against a tree outside the village gates. The training area was literally full of young genin practicing their skill to become a chuunin like him. He had not the mind to share space with those young ones, nor did he want to risk loosing control of himself as he often does in training. Salzem caught sight of Draconis walking through the streets, throwing air-punches, something akin or shadow-boxing, at least, that's how he perceived it. Salzem waved to Draconis, hoping to get his attention. Perhaps they could train together.

"Hey, how's it going?" After the last mission where Draconis had killed one of his worst tormentors he had been beginning to relax a bit. He had to remain vigilant though, as he did not notice Salzem despite looking for him until he waved suddenly.

“Do you want to spar or such? I am going to try and learn the Taijutsu arts but I figured learning from someone else would make things a lot easier.”

Salzem cocked his head to the side, looking Draconis over before nodding in approval.

"Sure I can teach you some things, Like..." Salzem paused lashing out quick kick aimed at Draconis's lower leg (20 Strength 45 Speed). Should this hit, Draconis would fall forward into Salzem's hand, coming up, fingers wrapping around his throat (Strength 25 Speed 50). At this point, Salzem out hold for a second before letting go. "That." Salzem would finish.

As soon as Salzem agreed to spar, Draconis began watching him with the Byakugan he had trained a little while back. The tall looking youngster suddenly paused his talking, and attempted a leg sweep, close enough to be able to knock the Hyena over. Evidently he was hoping to try and knock his opponent over, but Draconis was going to have none of that. As Salzem was kicking with his right leg at Draconis’ left, Draconis swung his left leg out to block it (77 speed). At the same time he carefully observed his opponent, looking for any openings he might give. The Byakugan could yet prove useful in physical spars.

Salzem leaped back as his foot struck Draconis guarded leg, landing about 3 meters away. Salzem raised his right arm in a fist-pump position, while the other arm formed a half tiger seal. Chakra flowed throughout his body like a river, a blue cloak of chakra forming around his person. Salzem felt empowered by the cloak and he left forward, lowering his arm to about neck level (Speed: 100 Strength: 60) Should the Lariate hit, Salzem would skid to a halt as Draconis fly over head, about a meter off the ground.

He was just in time, Salzem finished his kick but hit Draconis’ guarding leg instead of sweeping him over. Activating his Byakugan eyes more fully, Draconis felt the rush as the eyes of his that were oh so not very special began enhancing his senses. As Salzem leaped back, Draconis decided that he two would start bringing out heavier guns. Sort of. He stopped him self before he could activate the Wind Glaive jutsu, reminding himself that he was here for a physical spar not a jutsu contest. His muscles tensed, ready to move, as Salzem appeared to be preparing an attack. While Draconis could have attacked Salzem while he was flying through the air, he chose not too, instead thinking that whatever he decided to do against Draconis, Draconis needed to learn to defend against, so that he would know what to expect if he was him self using taijutsu. Salzem appeared to be activating a technique, making him noticeably faster than before. Much faster, faster than even Draconis’ enhanced body now.

Taking a guess that Salzem was likely going to be focused on what appeared to be a clothes line or such, from the looks of his body position, Draconis came up with a plan. As Salzem approached, he waited in a normal standing position. Taking into account their relative speeds, Draconis waited as long as he could while still having sufficient time, before throwing his left arm in front of Salzem’s face, leaving a 2 inch gap between his hand and Salzem’s face, in front of his eyes blocking his left eye almost entirely and heavily obscuring the other eye, his arm slightly bent. Mean while, his right hand tried to grab Sal’s just above the elbow, he would if able pull and then push Salzem so that he continued on past him while Draconis was also stepping to his right and Salzem’s left, a maneuver that should be difficult to notice if Draconis managed to get his arm up without interruption. As Draconis side stepped leaving enough room for Salzem’s charge to go straight past, should that be continued, Draconis would make his left leg travel into Salzem’s path, aiming to trip Salzem’s right foot, and make him trip. Assuming the maneuver worked successfully, Draconis would back up 5 meters and say “Like that…?”

Despite the speed he was going, Salzem still kept a close eye on his opponent. As Draconis stepped to the side, Salzem turned his head, watching Draconis, seeing the trip coming just in time. He dissipated the cloak, jumping over the kick, doing a neat little flip in the air before landing about 5 meters away from Draconis. Salzem turned to face him, smiling at his comment.
"Yeah, something like that." Salzem said before taking off his gas mask and gloves, attaching his mask to his belt, and stuffing his gloves in his Chuunin jacket pocket. "Now... For something like this!" Salzem said growlsed, Slamming his hands together in the tiger sign. As he did so, he focused his chakra into his nails and teeth. It was painful, as his teeth grew in size, at least 3 inches. His nails extended into sharp, dagger like claws and blackened (speed 30). Both the teeth and claws glinted with light as they reflected off of them. Salzem snarled as the pain subsided. He tried to speak, but his enlarged teeth made it so all that came out was something akin to a snarl. Giving up on speech, Salzem held Bared his new fangs and raised his claws, sharp as daggers.

“Careful about those jumps, I could attack you and you would have great difficulty dodging.” Draconis watched the other try to avoid his attack by jumping again. Next time he might jump Salzem while he was doing just that. “Never mind that to flip you have to take your eyes off of me, and that is not a good idea at all…” He grinned as the opponent began growing fangs and claws. “Looks like you got more up your sleeve huh?” Draconis carefully watched the opponent to see if his movements were going to increase in speed like they had before. Perhaps with physical attacks the user used preconceived notions, worn path ways in their mind speeding their movements drastically. So this is what it was like to use basic taijutsu huh, he was used to fighting with weapons which was different. This would be a good experience for him.

While Salzem was busy growing his new body modifications, Draconis threw a few punches in the air. Later when he felt he had better under stood the physical arts he would start learning some taijutsu moves, but for now he was going to focus on the basics. He watched, his Byakugan active.

Salzem dashed forward after a short pause. He brought his new right claws down in a sweeping arc, aiming down the front of Draconis's face (Speed 70 Strength 30 Sharpness 30). His nails made a whistling noise as they cut through the air as if he were slicing up a chalk board. Should Draconis block, Salzem would bring his other arm around, aimed at Draconis's chest. Should Draconis dodge to either side, Salzem would use his momentum of his first swing and swing his leg around in and arc (Strength 30 Speed 70) Should he jump back, Salzem would fall forward from his swing, use his hand to flip himself back upright again and propel himself forward (Speed 70), then proceed with a double kick aimed at Draconis's legs.
