Draconis had an ugly mug but he did not need Salzem to help him, if he wanted that kind of help he would ask some one better dressed and certainly not some one with that outlandish appearance. Perhaps this jutsu was derived as a physical manifestation of Salzem’s inner animalistic traits. Interesting. “How did you get that going?” he asked. Perhaps Salzem also had a rough child hood and this was how that jutsu got started but no matter, maybe Salzem would be able to talk later, but for now Draconis needed to avoid the on coming attack.

As Salzem suddenly charged, his right hand having been brought up presumably if it was being brought down towards the Hyena’s face, the Hyena being close in height. Watching his movements Draconis could see that he was now significantly faster, perhaps due to his Byakugan. As the other’s arm descended, Draconis’ right arm rose. He would attempt to grab Salzem’s right arm during its descent, and enhance its motion while stepping backwards and to the left out of range. If he was able to grab the arm successfully Salzem would most likely be pulled off balance, facing towards the ground, and Draconis would kick at his legs with his own left leg. Any kicks from Salzem would be difficult since his body was already moving towards its left, and to kick Draconis he would have to either be amazingly acrobatic or able to stop his own motion entirely, almost instantly, something Draconis had yet to see.

Draconis got the feeling that maybe he under stood Taijutsu fairly well now, but he wanted to try some interesting stuff. There was a basic Taijutsu of the Hyuuga scum that needed revamping. While he raised his right arm to meet Salzem’s, and his body moved, he watched Salzem through his Byakugan, but also he formed chakra from a tenketsu on the tip of his left index finger as he raised it to be ready to block Salzem if necessary.

As Draconis grabbed Salzem's arm, and pulled, Salzem stepped forward. This is exactly the position he wanted. Salzem's body began to glow with a redish light, bursting into a flaming red chakra, enveloping his training partner as well as himself. Salzem lunged forward, Slamming his left elbow into Draconis's stomach (strength 100 Speed 140). As the blow flew towards his target, Salzem jerked back, feeling the fforce of his own blow. A hit like that would kill Draconis! He didn't want that! (Strength 40 speed 140) Should this blow strike, Draconis would be stunned. Salzem squatted down and grabbed Draconis by his ankles. He roared as he spun, spinning around in circles, Draconis hovering above ground and chest level where Salzem held him. Dust began to pick up in a spiral around them, rage filled Salzem's heart as the unholy red chakra grew darker and darker. Salzem threw his opponent into the air mid-spin, at least 7 meters. He stopped focusing chakra into his teeth and nails, nails falling out and teeth shrinking back to normal size. The dark chakra faded a bit as he watched Draconis hang limply in the air. For but a moment, he hesitated. His red chakra cloak flickered as he watched his friend hang in the air like a rag doll.

It was a mistake not to activate the Wind Glaive technique apparently, he had underestimated Salzem. Before he knew it, Salzem had twisted and hit Draconis in the gut, stunning him and launching him into the air. Crap. He should have been more careful considering he was not a physical specialist yet. As he floated blearily in the air he wondered if studying his own brands of Taijutsu would have helped him.

Salzem jumped skyward, floating above Draconis for but a second, nails regrowing at a remarkable pace. His aura re-activated, and he grabbed Draconis's head with is right hand, (Speed 140) and slammed him back into the ground with such force, creating a shockwave in a three 7 foot radius around them (Head smash: Strength 40 Speed 140. Shock wave: 30 Speed 70) Salzem would leap back, catching his breath before the concept of what just happened finally worked it's way through. He rushed up to Draconis, checking him for any critical wounds.

"Drac." Salzem would say. "Draconis. Get up."  Salzem would say these things if Draconis were to fall unconscious during the attack.

Draconis saw a blur when his head was grabbed. Eventually he woke up on the ground on the tail end of Salzem’s voice speaking. Looking around him through the Byakugan he could see a lot of unsettled dirt around where he landed. Owwww. “Man, what did you do to me? That HURT.” He commented. He was careful to not move yet, in case he had a serious injury. First… he tried wiggling his fingers, which were fine, and then his toes, which were also fine. Good. So it was unlikely that he had a serious injury to his spine or neck or such, perhaps Salzem had been holding back a little. “I need to be better at reacting faster, that took me entirely by surprise.” He grinned ruefully as he spoke, turning each of his limbs and his neck side to side on the ground, making sure nothing felt broken. When he had checked every thing and he was not thinking that any movement might break him into pieces, he sat up slowly, his body aching. “Ok, I do not have the ability to match that attack for the time being, yet anyway. What say we take a break from sparring since with that attack the outcome is obvious, and work on jutsu for a while, and then we can see what we do from there?” His sentence was long and unbroken, hopefully the other boy got it all. “If you want, I can teach you some low level wind techniques that most people should likely learn. Maybe some skills too while you train for those other techniques.”

He himself stood fully now, stretching and eliminating a crick in his neck. Holding his hand up in the air, he shut off his Byakugan for the time being, to let his body recover a little faster. Looking at his left index finger, he began concentrating the chakra around it into a needle again. Last time he thought it was a little hazy, but this time he was definitely going to give it some clarity. Sharpening the needle, he noticed it was rather similar to the wind chakra blades except that this was pure chakra, not tainted by an elemental affinity, and it was much smaller. Perhaps avoiding one’s element made this stuff weaker. He should try adding in elemental combos later to see what happens. Maybe some thing interesting would occur. Who knows?

Concentrating the chakra as much as he could, he extended the needle he had just recently mostly formed from his index finger and stabbed it in to the ground. Pulling his arm towards him while keeping the chakra in the ground, he was able to start spelling out a crude alphabet. Pausing, and stopping the technique, he looked up at Salzem and said “Looks like it is working better now.” Before walking over towards a tree. If Salzem wanted to talk Draconis would reply louder as he was now facing away, If Salzem wanted to do some thing else Draconis would stop walking towards the tree and approach Salzem instead, slowly.

Salzem smiled, seeing Draconis was not seriously hurt.
"I'm sorry about that. I don't know what came over me." Salzem said. The truth was, he knew exactly what came over him. He lost control again! He silently chastised himself, angry for loosing control and attacking a friend with such a powerful technique. Salzem heard Draconis's proposal and nodded. Yes. it would be best if they stopped sparring. Salzem practiced focusing chakra into the cells of his nails and teeth it was not easy using such massive precision to focus chakra into the nucleus of a cell. He looked up when Draconis offered to teach him some wind techniques. Salzem shook his head.
"Sorry, but I'm not to good with elemental Ninjutsu. Also, I have not discovered my other two elements." Salzem shrugged. "I'm content where I am with marshal arts and bodily alterations." Salzem grew his nails back to their full claw-length and followed Draconis to the tree line.
"If I may ask, what technique are you using?" Salzem would ask. He was not familiar with what he was using to draw the alphabet in the earth.

Looked like the other boy had not intended to hurt Draconis which was good, otherwise Draconis might have to fight him again. Nah, accidents happen on the training grounds, they really do. He carved basic looking letters into the ground, as Salzem approached and inquired as to what technique Draconis was using. “This is a basic technique of the Hyu- no, the Byakugan users. You try to make a needle of chakra which can then be jammed into opponent’s tenketsu, you know, the chakra spots on your body, disabling them. Unfortunately, this can only be learned by people with a Byakugan, so I can’t really teach you this, especially if I am learning it myself now. I CAN teach you some similar stuff though, but you would need the wind element which I can help you get if you want. The jutsu itself is really very simple, and anyone should be able to learn it even if they normally specialize in other things besides ninjtusu. Up to you of course.”

Draconis finished speaking and stood in front of the tree. Carefully forming a chakra needle, he pushed it slowly at a tree. The needle encountered resistance but eventually entered, slipping into a hole it was forming in the tree by destroying the bark. The needle only being an inch long it did not have much to destroy fortunately. Draconis withdrew his hand and looked at it contemplatively. Forming a larger one, he carefully took aim at the tree, a single larger chakra needle sprouting from the palm of his hand. Pulling his elbow back, his palm facing the tree, his upper arm vertical entirely being perpendicular to the ground, and his elbow bent at a right angle, his forearm pointing straight at the tree and being horizontal, parallel to the ground, he stood silently. Suddenly in a burst of motion, he slammed his hand forward, the chakra needle stabbing in into the bark, splinters flying a few inches away before spiraling down and eventually falling onto the ground. He took a deep breath, dissipated the chakra needle, and pulled his hand back to examine the damage.

A thick hole the size of his finger had been punched into the wood. Examining it with his Byakugan he could see it extended slightly farther than his chakra needle would have, it seemed the chakra might have a slightly acidic quality to it or such.

He shrugged, glancing at Salzem. The next step was to make a series of blows all at once, in rapid succession. This would take a little planning to see how he would do this part.

Salzem shrugged.
"I appreciate your offer Draconis, but I'll stick with what I have for now. Perhaps in the future." Salzem took his place in front of a tree beside Draconis's. Salzem focused chakra into his other hand and teeth, nails turning to claws, teeth turning to fangs. Salzem lowered himself into a defensive stance in front of the tree. Salzem focused his strength into one arm and brought it around in a savage arc. The claw raked through bark and the fresh wood underneath. When Salzem observed the damage he did to the tree, he had tore off a massive amount of bark and about an inch deep into the wood beneath. He rolled his sanguine eyes and brought his other arm around in a deadly arc, creating an 'X' of slashes across the wood. Sadly, he penetrated no deeper than before. He glanced at Draconis, who had just blown a deep hone into the tree with his attack with the width of at least a finger. He wondered why Draconis was looking at him. Was he to be his training partner for this technique? if so, he was not going to make it easy for him.
