What Happened? (James, Lingqi)

Wow, it had been a while since Draconis had seen either of his allies for his mission, James just being a short while, and Lingqi since... jeez, it had been a while huh.

He stood at the gates, waiting for the others to show up. Hopefully they did not take too long or the targets would get away.

Lingqi Rentei, the Monkey Girl of The Leaf village came walking out of the Village gates... on her hands. Her feet were stright up in the air, and on her feet was a little red monkey who was also sanding on his hands. The pair marched forward with determination, though Lingqi was giggling to herself the entire time.

This was going to be super duper fun! For sure! She didn't really know what their mission was, but she knew she'd have fun doing it. Because well... she couldn't recall a time where she didn't have any fun doing anything. She liked to do everything! That was her charm! 

"Heya Hyena!" Lingqi cried from upside down. Her normally tan skin turned tomato red from all the blood in her noggin. "I told you that I just get up and leave sometimes!" She was dressed in her normal Yellow and brown outfit that looked suspiciously like a monkey. What with furry arm warmers and what not. Her dull blue hair hung to the ground, pulled down by the gravity of the situation.

James was lost, looking around for Draconis and whoever else Draconis invited to do this mission with him. He had thought that the meet up place for missions was like the mission board or the missions building, but he hadn't fotund Draconis in either places, so James had started wandering around the village, finally ending up in the gates. He stops, having seen Draconis and sighs a sigh of relief, thankful that he had finally found Draconis.
He approaches, getting two meters away from Draconis, and as he is about to say hi, he hears someone else cry out a greeting, he looks and sees, a girl with dull blue hair hanging upside down, walking on her hands, and a red monkey on her feet doing the same thing as she was doing.
"Well, that's interesting," he says, as he goes and stands next to Draconis, and then continues, "Welp, I'm here, hope I wasn't too far behind."
He grins, as he checks out a couple of the new items on him. He was wearing a mask on his left shoulder, not wanting to put it to use yet, a staff within his right hand. He could feel it calling out to him, and he felt that if he pushed it the right way, it's power would be his. Quizzically, he tries and sends his chakra into it, but the staff doesn't respond to him, he gives a shrug to himself, placing the staff on and across his right shoulder, so that the end of the staff went over his left shoulder, and using his left hand he checks the other new item he had on him, the Kronus sickle that he picked up from Mitsui, in exchange for his kidney. The sickle resided on his left hip, as to not interfere with James swinging his staff back and forth on his right side. He looks down and rotates his left foot, checking his pair of shoes, glad that he decided to wear his shoes that help increase his speed, and on his right wrist, the wristband that contained his armor, it waiting to be called upon. He could already tell that he did in fact put his contacts in this morning, as his vision was sharper and clearer then if he hadn't. His weapon pouch was slung on his left hip, right above where the hilt was so that it wouldn't interfere with him grabbing the sheathe Within his weapon pouch, he had already made sure that the ninja starting bundle was in there, along with the jutsu encyclopedia -which he had been studying frequently in order to be able to recognize the jutsus used against him, and he had left his second weapon pouch at home.
He nods, deciding that he was in fact ready to go and fight, or do whatever was needed to be done. Then within his mind, he hears, "Are you sure you can handle missions, I mean you were late on your very first mission and got lumbering as your mission, I doubt you can handle any other type of mission besides the simple basic missions. And this guy invited you to help, meaning he's trusting you to actually do your job, and you don't seem like you are able to handle it. So you might want to tell him that it was a mistake, and that you are very sorry that he trusted you enough to be something."
James shakes his head, and thinks back to the other James, the one who just couldn't leave well enough alone, "Why must you keep coming back, just sit back and enjoy the ride. I'll show you what I can do when push comes to shove, when life becomes threaten, when limbs are being threatened, and then I'll show you that you are wrong to assume that you even know me as well as you think you do. Just because you are in my mind, does not mean you see everything. So back off, before I shove you out."
The other James comes back and says, "Good, show me what you can do, then when I take over you, I can show you what you could of done, what you really could be if you had tried harder, if you had been willing to put aside your silly pranks, your silly games and actually tried for once."
James, enraged, step out of this world for a second, and into the realm of his mind, appearing once more inside the chaotic part of his mind, that had grown since the last time he had come, instead of beeing a little seed of madness, it now was like a lake within his mind, the majority of his mind his own still, but it was there growing. James started to worry that it might grow to be a danger to him. He looks at the other James, who was still mirroring himself. James glares at him and says, "You have overstayed your welcome. Get out of my mind."
With that James throws a spear that had appear in his hands, it flies straight and true at the other James, who simply catches it, and snaps it like it was a twig. The other James laughs then says, "You're in my realm, my rules apply here, and no, I won't leave. Your mind is becoming mine, and your body will follow whoever controls the mind. I think I will keep you in a prison, when I finally take over your mind, and let you watch as I change this world and destroy the very thing that you hold most dear."
The other James gave a wave of his hand, and James was thrown out of the mad part of his mind, out of his normal mind, back into his body.
He shakes his head, once again, and starts as if nothing had happen because the time within his mind had passed for a second out of his mind. He says, "Okay, I have everything I need to get this job done. So what exactly are we doing Draconis? I don't think you told me at all, so I would like to know."

Well, looks like Lingqi was feeling energetic – she did a walking handstand right out the gates of Konoha, oblivious to the stares of the village guards. It was only after she had passed him that she noticed, as her body position would not allow her to see him otherwise. She was in her monkey suit again, arm warmers and all, despite the heat. “Good thing we are entering the forest because it is getting pretty hot. Don’t know how you can wear all that so much.” Draconis chuckled, she was quite an uplifting presence. “Now to wait for the other one….” What was really a mystery of course, was how the monkey managed to be walking on its hands, well, its upper hands more specifically, while managing to stay on her feet. Taking a closer look and vague manipulating the heck out of the universe due to the discretions of some force totally beyond his comprehension that dictated his every move, even if he did not know it, he noticed that the monkey was walking little circles on her feet, and managing to not fall off despite the shifts her body made in placement so often. “So, Lingqi, do you guys practice your acrobatics?”

He saw James approaching, he seemed like he had been out for a while, he had a slightly harried look that implied not everything had gone as well as expected today. Draconis noticed all the new items, and not just the one Mitsui had offered James before. “Looks like you have been decking yourself out lately, James?” He attempted to introduce the two of them, James and Lingqi, before continuing. “We’re all a little far behind actually, we need to run into the forest now, we have some thieves to catch. I will explain on the way.”

He would run out of the village gates, watching the others to make sure they would be able to keep up. If they separated the enemies might pick them off one by one. Once the others were moving and within earshot, he would begin explaining the mission. “Somebody stole some information from the Hokage’s office – some papers concerning the village defenses and the like. Some think that this is the work of a group of missing ninja who want to overthrow all the major nations, so we are to firstly, retrieve the information, and secondly, beat up the bad guys.”

He would continue to run, beginning to pick up a little speed now. Up ahead he spotted a document lying on the ground. Bending while running, he grabbed it, and nearly got his hand stabbed by a flying kunai that burst out of the ground. A muffled curse was clearly audible in the undergrowth nearby….

quick steal james's stuff

It's like Drac had never seen a space and time altering monkey before. What sort of wild life did they have around here in the leaf village? Because back home they had time and space altering monkey's everywhere. Actually it was kind of a problem at some point, because you'd never know where the little buggers would pop up. Lingqi could happily enjoy her stylish outfit because it was made of breathable materials. Also she was like two percent body fact, and usually was just freezing her butt off when she was wearing lighter cloths. Not that DRAC had any sense of fashion to go by what so ever.

Ling flipped onto her feet, and Hiru did a similar manuver, and ended up landing on his feet as well, only he landed on her head. Lingqi shook her head, and looked over at Drac one she heard hisquestion. Her green eyes shimmered at him, as she looked into his pale ones. "Nope, we just have fun! I'm not sure I've ever trained in anything in my life! My parents usually just genjutsu the knowledge into my brain. It's way easier than having to go to boring classes and dealing with that whole boring mess."

She shrugged, and began ranning the moment he said that they should get going. She wasn't the sort of gal to just stand around.... well doing anything really. She welcomed james, and sped off into the trees. However she quickly discovered that she didn't know where she was heading and was forced to wait for Drac to catch up and lead the way. Which she supposed was OKAY considering that he was the leader of the mission and everything. 

Somebody stole information from the hokage? Ooooh man! Lingqi was jumping with excitment. She bet that it was naughty photos or something really embarrassing like that. She could just squeal! She couldn't wait to find out what it was. she was going to tell everybody what she saw. Omg this was going to be so funny. 

"Hey Drac!" Lingqi would shout at some point in there run. "James got struck by lightning, and passed out." If Drac bothered to looked over at Ling he'd notice that she was hauling James on her back like a backpack, and that on his back was Hiru who was wrapped around James like a back pack. Ling looked exactly like a pack mule. "Just letting you know!"

Hiru razed his hand over to James' jaw and started moving it up and down like he was talking.

Lingqi giggled. "My names james, and I smell my own feet! I think Lingqi is the prettiest girl in the entire village, and I'm gonna marry her one, day and be her butler. We're going to have an icecream wedding and honeymoon at sea world so she can see the dolphins!"

Lingqi blushed. "Why James this is so sudden, I don't know what to say!"

It was then that Drac got a stabbed, and Ling noticed a rustling in a bush. Immediately her eyes turned blue when they sense a thread, and like a Shuriken she flung James from her shoulders and at the source of the noise. "Go get em' James!" She shouted as his unconscious body flew through the air. 

Ling weave a series of hand signs and activated the hidden mist Jutsu, clouding everything around her in a thick mist. "Keep an ear out Hiru."

You know, Draconis would have had very little way of knowing how friggin skinny Lingqi was, mostly because he had only ever seen her dressed like a monkey, and she rarely was still enough for a decent period of time for him to get a good look at her. The only indication was that skinny people tended to be extremely active, obviously they had little Energizer Bunnies, whatever those were, hidden some where inside them, or it would make no sense. It did not seem biologically possible that some of them could have so much energy without burning out or such.

They flipped on their feet with no trouble. Even though he was a ninja, such maneuvers did not come naturally at all to Draconis and he was half tempted to ask If it was practice or just pure physical talent that made them do such things so often. Then she pointed out that she probably did not train anything at all. He did not say anything, careful to keep his emotions from changing his current slightly puzzled expression, and privately thought that it must have been hell for her parents, growing up. Such an ADD like child must have been hard to manage the entire time. It was a very interesting idea though, using Genjutsu to teach people.

It was almost as if she had the skill that let one move instantly at full speed, so fast was her takeoff. Not wanting to keep her from being separated, Draconis made sure he did not leave her too far behind, catching up and passing her. He did not need to ask to see that she was rather… excited, though this was clearly a normal thing.

At one point she yelled out that James got struck by lightning and passed out. What? Draconis did not turn his head, he activated his lone Byakugan and looked behind him briefly, leving it on and watching the path again, keeping an eye out for intruders. Jeez, she did not slow down at all, she was catching up to him a little actually due to his distraction. That compilation of bodies was indeed a sight to behold, the double backpack maneuver.

He could hear them play acting as they ran through the forest, closing in on the targets, their role playing in character role playing interrupted as someone tried to attack Draconis. Woah. So suprising huh?

What Draconis certainly did not expect was that Lingqi then flung James’ body at the source of the nosie, where the muffled curse had been heard, telling his body to “go get them” or such.

Her hidden mist jutsu did not go un-noticed, Draconis noted the hand signs she weaved, with his Byakugan as a metagaming jerk he was. He would study the jutsu later, but for now he needed to work on awakening the Jugo Dna in his body. He was unhappy that despite all his prior efforts the Dna refused to bond with the rest of the body. Mitsui’s clone had done a good job of reconnecting everything and James’ kidney had been successfully merged, and was functioning well. He could only hope the same of James, maybe he had actually passed out due to a failed transplant. Well, in any case the issue was that the Bloodline had not awakened in Draconis despite all this time and he was not a happy camper, even though camps did not really exist in this world dominated by 7th Hokage fans. He thought he caught her issuing instructions to her pet monkey Hiru but he could not be sure.

Running off after Jame’s flying body towards the sound of the noise, he saw a man in his mid thirties or so, scrambling away. He was oddly dressed though, a wide brimmed hat covering his face, and those were work clothes not ninja gear. A pitchfork was held in one hand, and was now quivering, pointing at Draconis as the guy dressed suspiciously like a farmer had fallen on his behind. “S-s-stay back! Don’t think that all you ninjas can come and go as you please tramping through my crops!”

The apparent farmer’s face contorted into an expression of rage. “First that other group in an awful hurry and then you. What do you want now?!?”

Lingqi flew from her tree perch and landed down below in the bushes atop of James' unconscious body. "Don't you have like the power to see through walls? You didn't see that trap coming?" Lingqi huffed, and slung James back over her shoulder. He wasn't the fattest guy Ling had ever slung over her shoulder. Mean while Hiru was running around the area, looking at the crops. He was obviously scouting out which one he was going to pluck for himself. That naughty monkey! His eyes caught a rather large turnip and his eyes grew three times their normal size as he gazed at the vegetable. 

"oooooooh." The monkey gasped in delight, reaching out for the veggie.

"Hiru no!" Lingqi chided flying out from the bushes. To common eye thought that she might be defending Hiru from stealing the valuable crops of these poor farmers. "there a much bigger one over here come on!" They would however, be wrong.

She wondered if may she should be helping out drac with that big ol' hole in his hand. Probs not. He was a touch uy, and he didn't want Ling's dirty monkey fingers all over his open wound. "If that hands falls off, we can always give you one of james'!" She paused and looked to the unconscious boy on her back. "I really thought that would wake him up!" She giggled and with a final heft from Hiru and herself plucked a truly massive turnip from the ground and began nomming on it. All over it!

She was also, completely ignoring the farmers. It was like whatever, ya know? She'd let Drac handle it. He was the dude in charge of this whole thing. Lingqi and Hiru were just here as the muscle. She looked at James and wondered why he was here. Maybe he was suppose to be the moral support of the team. hmm.

Ling shrugged James off of her shoulders and he fell to the ground with a thump. She then reached into her back pack, and pulled out a cheerleader uniform that she had laying around. "Hiru help me get him into this thing!"

(oops, sorry. Rushed my post a little too much then, I will avoid that in the future

Also, btw, drac didn’t actually get stabbed by the kunai, merely got a scare and a weapon)

“What did that other group look like? Were they carrying any thing?” Draconis inquired.

The farmer snarled back “Why should I answer your questions when you just come trespassing on to my property?!? Screw you, and-“ The farmer’s eyes bulged as he saw the monkey girl and monkey familiar burst out of the trees. Draconis was watching the farmer only, but when he heard the words “Hiru no!” he began watching with his Byakugan. His mood turned to exasperation as the other two dumped James on the ground and appeared to be about to stuff him into a cheerleader outfit.

The farmer began snarling at Draconis again. “And look at the travesty they intend to commit on my sacred grou-“ His words were suddenly cut off as Draconis suddenly grabbed the pitchfork and jammed it into a tree 50 feet away, his arm straight pointing in the direction where upon he had thrown it. The farmer did not look a lot more calm or quieted but he knew what that expression meant as well as the next person. The farmer grouched silently at Draconis and the general surroundings as Draconis explained why he and the two monkeys were there. “We are pursuing a group of missing ninjas, likely the ones who ran over your land earlier, possibly wrecking that water melon patch over there?”

He looked at the farmer for confirmation, and the farmer nodded. Draconis could only hope the others did not get distracted by fresh fruit.  He continued speaking. “Those Missing Ninjas happened to steal some important documents, if you could tell us anything about the missing ninjas, it would help the village immensely.”

As he spoke he began pulling out ryo, the amount amusingly enough making the farmer’s eyes bulge in increasing amounts until it was quite pronounced. As any one might have guessed, Draconis was not going to give the money without some thing in return. He began tapping the bills against one hand with the other and the farmer, stuttering at times, managed to get out a “7 of them, dressed in bright colors, called them selves the Orange Sun group or something. Some are armed. Trampled through my water melon patch due west!!!”

Before long he was hyperventilating too much at the sight of the ryo, and his suspicious about whether the money was for him or not, Draconis tossed some Ryo to him and pocketed the rest again. “That should cover your lost revenue.”

Privately he hoped that the office might reimburse him, or at least trust the chunin enough to believe him if he explained his story. They might send a person over to confirm his story actually, the Konoha payroll committee was notoriously fickle and stingy. "Let's go guys."

Having stopped watching the other two for a few moments, he turned around to face them, not bothering to use his Byakugan and saw…
