A-Rank A Dangerous Escort (Cole, Hikari)

Cole walked with his hands in his pockets taking in his surroundings. Both with his eyes and with his rain jutsu. He had never been this far out from the village and it was quit nice out here he thought to himself. He could see everything around here between his senses, but their was no sign of any ninja yet, but his jutsu was not perfect people could find ways around it. Cole himself didn't know what they was but his father always told him that no matter how powerful a jutsu was their was always a counter to it. He started to think what it could be, and all he could come up with was umbrella. Which made him snicker a bit that a powerful A rank jutsu like this could be countered by something so simple.

He then heard Sal say that the village was up ahead and the would be getting close soon. This snapped cole back out of his train of thought, and he started to focus on his jutsu if someone was going to attack it would be at this point he thought to himself. He put all his focus into looking around they area while trying not to fall behind. He was doing pretty good except for the random pot hole in the road that he almost fell over cause of it. For not paying attention to were he was going. At first he didn't think nothing of it, but then he remembered that Hikari was with him as well and walking beside him, and he started to blush a bit out of embarrassing him self.

He then felt a chakra signature to the right of them. He couldn't make out what it was but it was definitely human and felt powerful. “Sal, Hikari there is someone to our right about twenty meters to the right” he would say in a voice that was just high enough over the rain that they both could hear. He would then point in the direction “Hikari could you look that way with your byakugan and see who it is. I can't see who it is, but there is definitely someone their” he would add, as he slowed his walking. If their was a trap up ahead he didn't want to walk into it with out knowing what they was dealing with.

Hikari, alongside the lord's friend, walked with her arms swinging slightly, enjoying how the sleeves flapped at her movement. She would still be able to battle, she just would look silly in a cute way. Maybe they will surrender to how cute I am! Bahaha I crack myself up! As if any ninja would surrender because of someone's beauty, that would be hilarious though! Maybe it would be a good romance novel haha. She was making herself internally laugh at her comments, knowing fully well that it was preposterous. She had a big imagination however so she did sometimes think up the most bizarre things, though she shared them with no one. As they walked, she could see the Village Hidden in the Clouds with her Byakugan, the place looking lively with children running freely through the village market area. The sight she saw made her smile lightly, joy filling her heart at seeing such innocent and carefree children playing around. They weren't worried about dying or getting attacked, they just cared about what they were going to play next after they grew bored of the game they had been playing. A child's life was so easy, so simplistic.

The smile did not stay on her face long though, as news from Salzem and Cole stated that they would be attacked and that twenty meters to their right there was someone, or multiple someones, approaching them at a speedy pace. She used her Byakugan to see how many there were and what they looked like. "Okay, it looks like there is only one. But they have a large amount of chakra flowing through their chakra network. It's a man, about six feet tall and approimately two hundred pounds, all of it seems to be muscle not fat. They are approaching us very quickly, we need a plan and fast! I think it will take two, if not all three of us, to take him down, if he is as powerful as he looks." She clentched her fists, which were hidden in the jacket's sleeves, and hoped they would be able to take on this massive man. 

She figured Salzem and Cole would want to take him on first, leaving her to protect the feudal lord if the man should get past the two of them. She believed that she would be okay, having her clan's famous Eight Trigrams: Sixty Four Palms technique on her side. I really hope we make it out of this alive. I don't want to die yet, I have so much to live for. No, I will not die and neither will Salzem or Cole. I swear it! She was more determined than ever to do whatever she could to make sure no one on her team died, they were her closest allies and friends, people she trusted to be there for her when she needs it most.

Hanaki awaited the group patiently, sitting crouched behind an outcropping of rocks . The Kumo border was facilitating that way. So many convenient places to hide behind, nooks and crannies to attack from. The assassin pulled back her lips in a wicked grin at the idea of the babies travelling with the Daimyo's... friend.

The genjutsu she'd been projecting on the babies would do it's job, or so she'd hoped. Nothing scarier than a big, beefy mean looking man to put everyone on guard to that when all they found was a slight redhead not even 5'4 with sparkling green eyes, they would be thrown off just enough for Hanaki to put the esteemed lord out of his misery. She wasn't interested in hurting the babies really, not unless they forced her hand.

Safe behind her rock, the assassin waited for the babies to come fight the man they thought they'd seen. She hoped the cute one wouldn't come forwards, it would be a shame to mess up such pretty hair.

Salzem drew his katana when Cole informed him of a ninja he detected, tossing it in the air before drawing his other two. He caught the blade's handle in his mouth and he held his other two blades, One Winged Angel and Olympia, in a defensive position in front of him. He lead his group farther up the road, expecting someone, powerful, Someone with an eye to kill. As he approached however, all he saw in front of him was a Red head, about his size, with sparkling green eyes. Although this was surely unexpected, Salzem would not approach or attempt to converse unexpected figure. He would stop, and hold up a hand for the others to as well. Seeing someone like this out of the village without an escort, not normal and shouldn't happen. Either this person was more than when he/she (wasn't specified) or she wasn't really there... Salzem inched back so that he was protecting the front of the man with Cole and Hikari protecting the sides. Something told him that something was very wrong with this situation. He looked back at Cole and Hikari, not turning away from this person.

"Hey," He whispered to the both of them. "Is this the person you sensed?" When he said this The old man, who had given up looking around for his bottle, looked over at the Red head.

"Of course she's real. She's not a ghost or nothin..." No... That person most definitely was not a ghost....

Cole would follow Sal as he walked over and stop when sal gave the signal, and asked them if this was who they say? “i don't know sal with my jutsu I can't see the target just know were they are, and how they move, but this feels about the same” cole would tell Sal as the rain dropped on all of them and cole could get the feel of the women and it did feel the same as the one he felt before. He would look at Hikari and see if this is the person that she saw with her byakugan. Cole would get ready for a fight he didn't know what this person was capable of, but he figured that he needed to be on guard at all time at this point. At least for the time being until they figured out what was going on with this women. With out knowing what she was able to do or how strong she was his plan if she attacked would be to use the water clone jutsu to distract her while trying to get her in the water prison jutsu, and while she either broke free of it, it would give Sal enough time to hit her with his jutsu, but he had to wait and see first. He needed to know if she was hostile or not, and at the moment he didn't know for sure.

Hikari was amazed herself to see the beautiful red headed assassin. She knew the woman was an assassin because her chakra signature was the same as the big man, or should she say the illusion of the man. This woman's chakra, she could sense, was very powerful and double Salzem's chakra levels, however Cole's chakra was almost at par with the strange woman. Hikari watched her teammates as they got ready to fight, Salzem carrying three blades (one in each hand and one in his mouth) and Cole stood in a stance that showed he was ready for whatever the woman threw at him. Hikari took on the famous Hyuuga stance as she moved her body to be able to cover the man's side and his back if she were to strike him there. She would be ready to trigger the Eight Trigrams: Sixty Four Palms technique if the woman was so foolish to step into her invisible eight trigrams circle.

"This woman has the same chakra as the illusion I described to you guys. She is no friend of ours, so be on your guard! Her target is the feudal lord's friend, and she is very powerful, at least chakra wise." She whispered to the two men with her, Salzem and Cole. She then waited, on guard, for the woman's attack. I believe we can fight her and win! I just hope we can...

"Hello babies," Hanaki called out with a smile, dark red lips pulling back to reveal pointed teeth as she raised her hands in a two fingered salute at the approaching party. Some of them seemed to sense she was dangerous, one had weapons out. Oh how quickly the young acted.

"I'm afraid I'm a little lost, do you think you could show me the way?" she continued with a flick her fingers towards the southern direction, pointing out the narrow dirt path that led a bit off the track. Should they follow her hand gesture, they would see the path disappear after twenty or so meters down the road.

"I don't need you to escort me," she giggled, flipping her crimson hair behind her as she laughed brightly. "Just, maybe if one of you has the power to let me know what waits little old me down the road." With a suggestive look, her glistering eyes traveled to the girl. "Maybe the cute one?" Or the nice man she's hiding."

Eye full of amusement, she now pointed to herself, her fingers nearly touching her torso. "Where I'm from, it's usually the men who protect the ladies, isn't that right babies?"

Salzem stared at this... "Unique" woman but he didn't drop his guard. He did however, slip his swords back into their sheaths. Something about her gave him a bad vibe. What was she up to? If she were truly lost, would she not show a bit more concern? No. She was not lost. She knew exactly where she was and what laid on the path back the way they'd come. Salzem's sanguine eyes locked onto those of this strange woman, muscles tensed, ready to move at the first sign of hostility. When she spoke suggestively, Salzem's eyes flashed.

"Or how about me?" Salzem said, voice monotone, but his eyes spoke a much more vicious tale. He wouldn't let any harm come to his comrades.

"Do you know what's down that road? More road." When she said that where she came from, the men protected the women. Salzem watched this creepy woman, making note of her every movement.

"Where I'm from, someone who's lost doesn't walk up to a group of armed strangers more brazen than if she was talking to a friend."

cole kept his eyes on the women ready to make a move at Sals orders. then the women "I'm afraid I'm a little lost, do you think you could show me the way?" she would point back at the road at this time as well. Cole couldn't help but look in the direction she was pointing. He needed to know if it was a sign for an ambush or not, but he didn't feel any chakra signatures from his rain tiger at will jutsu. When he looked at the road it seamed to go for about 20 meters and then just disappear. Cole would rub his eyes with his right hand using his thumb and index finger, but when he looked back it didn't change. What is going on he thought to himself.

Cole wasn't paying attention anymore as he was trying to figure out what had happened to the road. When salzem said "Where I'm from, someone who's lost doesn't walk up to a group of armed strangers more brazen than if she was talking to a friend." cole snapped back into the conversation. He didn't know what was going on but he knew that if Sal gave the order he would fight and figure out what happened to the road later.

This woman is so weird, why is she calling us babies? She doesn't look that old... Hikari was distrustful of the woman, for she had tried to use a Genjutsu on them as they had approached where she hid, Hikari came to realize. She kept her eyes glued to the woman's shoulder area, believing it was the best way to not get trapped in any more Genjutsu she tried to use but also a good way to see if she moved any part of her body to cast a jutsu or to move to another spot. Genjutsu play off of the five senses, I remember sensei teaching us that in the academy. You can get trapped in you hear a sound that casts a Genjutsu, a visual Genjutsu that traps you if you look at the hands or eyes of the caster, and I can't remember the others, if there were any.

She whispered so only Salzem and Cole could hear, her eyes still staying on the woman's feet, "I think this woman is a specialist in Genjutsu, and if so we need to be careful. If I am correct, when she asked for help with that 'road', I bet she either pointed at it or kept staring at us, trying to cast another Genjutsu so she can quickly rid herself of us and try to attack the man. I think we could be safe if we tried to stare at a part of her that she can't cast a Genjutsu from but we will still be able to see if she casts a jutsu or moves spots."

Hikari then thought of something. Uhm that woman said I was cute, so what does that mean? Is there any way I could use that to my advantage? I could try to talk to her, see if I could get her to lower her guard while Salzem and Cole strike her. Would that work though? We have no idea how fast she is or what kind of jutsu she knows. Dang this! What do I do?! I feel so helpless! She thought maybe, like Salzem, she could try speaking to the woman, the only question next would be what to say. 

"If you wanted me to escort you, all you had to do was ask. But I feel like you didn't come here for me, now did you, miss assassin?" Hikari, her eyes still not going anywhere near the woman's, smiled as she spoke, hoping she wasn't ruining Salzem's or Cole's plan. "Your Genjutsu attempts are excellent, I bet you have killed many men with them. Speaking of which, you seem to have a distaste for men, or a rather high view of women. Why is that?" She was trying to see if she could strike a nerve with the assassin, or figure out a thing or two before she would ask something. If this assassin hates men, I could offer to fight her while the boys take the feudal lord's friend and hurry to Kumo. Or she might want to fight the boys precisely because she hates men...I'm worried about what she will do, or how she will react to what I have said, or what Salzem said earlier...
