Jason Tests a Chuunin's Skills[IO, Zero Koyomi]

By the time Jason realized his Haki had almost no effect it was nearly too late. He could feel the branch snapping as Hideyoshi's kick broke through the Haki infused technique and was about to connect to Jason's chest. The only thing he could do was consciously activate his clan's healing ability, unlike before when it was on auto healing his cuts from the bones. By the time Hideyoshi's kick had sent Jason reeling backward the broken bones he had received were already beginning to heal. He did spit up just a bit of blood as he was thrown backward however. 

Jason silently cursed himself as he let the Rasengan dissipate and prepared to make a new series of seals. His backup plan was no good. Hideyoshi had managed to push Jason backward a few meters past the seal he had left on the ground for his escape. Not only that, but Hideyoshi's form was flawless. He would immediately step toward Jason, leaving his right foot on top of the seal that would have been Jason's escape route. Jason knew he shouldn't have relied too heavily on the teleportation technique. It was too late for that now, Jason would just use it as a learning experience. What he WAS certain about was that this Chuunin that had just been promoted by Jason, was at the very least worthy of the Jounin rank. That much was certain.

A series of extremely strong punches connected with Jason's body sending him backward a few more meters. He was glad he had covered his body with his Haki and activated his healing ability or it could've been a lot worse. As it was he could feel bones breaking and mending themselves all over his body. When he finally stopped moving and was able to stand his ground Jason was breathing heavily. He wiped some blood from his mouth and watched as Hideyoshi, now being a full seven meters away from Jason, knelt and wiped some fluid from his own mouth. It seemed to Jason the strain was too much on Hideyoshi's body. Jason had seen what he wanted to. There was no reason to make the Chuunin strain himself any more than necessary. It was only a sparring match after all.

"Enough!" Jason would say through gritted teeth, still trying to catch his breath. "This is only a spar, I don't want you to strain your body too much." Jason would stand up straight at this point and smile, having finally caught his breath. He would wince once as he felt the last of his broken bones being healed. "Good job! I wasn't expecting you to be so fierce. I made the mistake of letting myself get too close knowing you were a Taijutsu specialist. Next time it won't be so easy for you, I assure you that!" Jason laughed a little at this. It had been some time since he found a worthy opponent and he had just had so much fun with Hideyoshi. He was a good candidate for an ANBU but Jason wouldn't bring that up just yet. He had to get some things in order first.

Pausing long enough for Hideyoshi to respond if he wished, Jason would then continue speaking. "Alright, you've certainly proven yourself. I'm hereby promoting you to Jounin. A young Genin stopped by my office the other day and had a request for me. Because of that, I also have a task for you. You are to find three ninja of Genin or Chunin rank and help them to train. Do whatever you can for them. Do you understand?"

As he stood up slowly, dusting the dust and other particles from his body and smiling," Taijutsu has always been in my blood from the beginning and being a Kaguya makes it no different. I had to go out and learn some of the more dangerous taijutsu techniques just to become stronger and It was worth it. Next time I will have something to make up for my short range you can believe that," a weak laugh escaped his lips as he cracked the creaks from his body and groaned a bit, his body was recovering nicely though something would begin to get at him.


After hearing his conditions after becoming a Jounin he would nod and smile," Send the Kid my way and i'll find two more people to train into proper Konoha shinobi. After that we'll see about having another spar, next time don't be so teleporty alright?," with his body at least in some condition to walk he would begin to walk towards Jason and shake his hand, of course nodding to him before waiting if anything else was needed one never knew if they needed to hear something more.

The spar was over and Hideyoshi had accepted the conditions given to him. He would walk toward Jason and shake his hand. There was nothing more that really needed to be said. Jason was certainly looking forward to sparring with the new Jounin again at some point. It was right before he shook Hideyoshi's hand that he had finally released his Haki, his body turning back to normal from the hard black it had been covered in before. 'I need to get stronger' Jason thought to himself. And with that, he would leave the training grounds after Hideyoshi, planning on returning to the Hokage building to file the necessary paperwork on Hideyoshi and make some inquiries about another situation.
