Cole VS Salzem another spar (p, nk)

Cole was walking through the woods out side of the village. He was trying to think of how to take his new black dragon blizzard jutsu to a new level. The trees offered a good bit of shade with the sun making its way through the leafs leaving blots of sun light lighting the ground. Cole figured that his chakra and speed had hit their max, and that he had came about as far as he could go on his own. He would need help hitting the next level of power. He knew that it would come with him figuring out how to up the power of his black dragon blizzard, but he didn't really know how to go about it. The black dragon blizzard was they strongest ice jutsu he had heard about from his father. That was nothing but straight damage. The demonic ice crystal mirrors was more support than anything. Cole thought as he walked over to a tree and set down next to it. He would use the tree to support his back and lean against it.

Cole figured that if he was to reach a new level with his jutsu he would need help, and the fastest way that happens is through training with others. Cole set and thought about who he knew that was strong enough to help him. Hikari was strong but he felt like he was stronger than she was, and the same could be said about kouse. Their was that guy that attacked but he got ran out of the village his name was kozai cole remembered, but he couldn't really trust him anyways. That left they only other person cole knew that was as strong as he was Salzem. He knew that sal was strong and possible still stronger then he was. He and sal had sparred a few times in the past, and sal had beaten him all but one time. Their last battle cole had lost it in the middle of it and through everything he had at sal, and sal just deflected all of his attacks and won the battle.

With this cole knew that out of the people he knew sal would definitely be one of the few people in the village that could stand toe to toe with him. Cole would then get up and start to stretch he figured sal would be in the village more then likely. After he got done with his stretch he would start to slowly walk back into the village to find sal.

Salzem had just gotten something to eat from one of his favorite sweet shops. He figured he deserved a luxury every once in a while as he had been working just about all week. He sat down on a bench just outside the village gates and began munching on his treat. He had bought a small ice cream and enjoyed it heartily in the hot sun. He was careful to not get any drops on his headband which always hung around his neck. Most people would question a ninja such as himself enjoying these pleasures fit for the citizens he was supposed to be protecting. What people tended to forget was that he was a person too and couldn't be on the job 24/7. Salzem quickly finished his cone and went about scrubbing the access off his face with the back of his hand. He got up from his bench and stretched. Unfortunately, the life of a chuunin isn't for the faint of heart and he was due to go about his duties in a couple of hours. Salzem looked down at his hands, which were now covered in steel armored gauntlets. The steel had some kind of runes running up the fingers and palms. He had bought these gauntlets from an armor trader passing through town. Supposedly, they had the ability to disrupt and lower the power of any Ninjutsu that came into contact with it and he was eager to check it out.

Cole had made it back to the village and was looking around for sal. When he turned the coner and saw sal eating an ice cream. That basted cole thought to himself I want an ice cream now he rambled off in his head. Cole would walk over to sal as he was finishing his ice cream and wiping the remains off on his gauntlet. That was new cole thought to himself, but he didn't let it get him distracted. “Hay sal I got a deal for you since your sitting here eating ice cream and now that I want ice cream. I challenge you to a spar, and if I win you have to get me an ice cream” cole would tell sal. He would point at him with his right hand, and have a smile across his face.

“Plus this will help me with my training, and maybe yours. I think im as fast as you are now” cole would add as he set down beside Sal. Cole knew that sal was strong but he also knew that he had gotten a lot stronger since the last time they sparred, and he thought that he might be able to win this one. Cole would wait to see what sal would say about his challenge, and if accepted cole would try and win. Not just to get stronger and to test himself, but to get sal to pay for the ice cream.

Salzem looked up from his gauntlet and saw Cole approaching him. There was something wrong with the expression on his face. Like he was jealous of him or something. Cole then stated a challenge, a spar. If he won, Salzem would have to take him out for an ice-cream. Salzem looked at Cole, then his empty cone, then at Cole again. He just shook his head and snickered. What a motivation to fight!

"Fine. I accept your terms. Lets see how much better you've gotten." Having said this, Salzem would get up off his bench and lower himself into a fighting stance. This time, Salzem would make the first move, jumping at Cole and raising his left knee, aiming to slam it into Cole's chest, knocking him out of the gate. Salzem would then follow up by closing the new distance between then and throwing 3 jabs, each aimed at the center of Cole's face, following with an uppercut aimed at his stomach. If this all went through, Salzem would grab onto the sides of Cole's head and throw it down towards his knee as it rose to make contact.

Cole could see that sal was holding back he was way faster then this. Cole thought that it was probably because they was still in the village. Cole know that the village gate was behind him quickly jumped back while staying around a foot off the ground at a speed of 50. He then saw that sal was planning on knocking him that way anyway, once cole landed he would then yell back at sal “hay lets take this outside the village don't want to hurt anyone.” cole would wait to see if sal agreed with this, and if he did cole would turn and face to the west side of the village, and making a single hand signs he would yell back “lets see if you can keep up” he would yell at sal with a smile on his face.

Using the body flicker jutsu cole moved at a speed of 200, but made it to were he left an after image behind him for sal to follow if he couldn't keep up with the speed. Cole would stop about 50 meters from the village, and would turn around if sal was their he would look sal in the eyes. “lets do this for real this time no holding back. Only rule is the winner helps they other” he would tell sal. Cole knew that sal was good and a close range fighter, so cole already knew that he would have to try and keep his distance in order to win this fight.

The area that cole had stopped in was a little clearing outside of the village. It was about 20 meters in diameter, and had trees along in a circle around the clearing going into the forest. If you looked through the trees all you would see was more trees. The place looked like someone had put it here for sparring a long time ago, as now the grass in the area was starting to get up to about knee high.

Cole Dodged Salzem's attacks and suddenly, he disappeared. It took Salzem a moment but Cole had seemingly teleported himself 150 feet away from the village. Salzem decided to walk, not run, to meet Cole at his location. He was in no hurry of course. Salzem had a few hours. He was about 20 feet from Salzem before Cole made his demand. "We do this for real."

"Well..." Salzem smiled at Cole. "Lets see if you can keep up that speed." As soon as he said this, Salzem dashed at Cole, throwing his fists forward in multiple quick punches. His fists picked up massive speed and seemed to have caught on fire. A blue, skin-searing flame ignited as Salzem's fists reached the appropriate speed and he threw them at Cole, seeming like a hundred flaming fists were coming down on his head, neck and torso (Speed 150) Salzem lowered the impact force of the blows so he wouldn't cause Cole any real damage, keeping the damage over all superficial. This was a spar after all. Cole said he wanted to do this for real, but did he really know what that meant? Salzem always kept one move in reserve for life and death situations. It was true that Cole had gotten much faster... but what about strength, strategy, ability? This remained to be seen... If Cole somehow managed to avoid this, Salzem would stay close, within arms length, and he would throw his arms into Cole's chest. The force would be minimal, negligible actually, not even enough push him, but it was what came next that would be the real kicker. The air would culminate around Cole's body, forming into a tiger. It would seem to wrap around Cole before bringing it's fangs down on Cole's neck. At this point, Salzem would be 10 meters away, having jumped back as soon as his palms made contact. Salzem would then slam his hands into the tiger sign, causing the tiger to explode, hopefully ending this fight before it had even begun. (speed 50, Strength, 19, 19 (explosion)) Salzem would reduce the force of the attack so he wouldn't kill Cole. This isn't what he wanted. But he would be holding back. Not "doing it for real" as it were.

When cole stopped he had figured that sal would have been right behind him, but when he turned around he wasn't. This told cole that sal was taking his time and walking to him. He figured that sal would be ready to attack as soon as he got their. Cole quickly thought up a counter to what sals first attack would be. He didn't know what he would do but he was sure it would a taijutsu move. Because unless sal had gotten stronger and picked up some new tricks. Cole knew that sal only had taijutsu and medicaljutsu at his disposal. Cole had learned how to deal with taijutsu users now and had even picked up a taijutsu move himself. However he knew that sal was more skillful then cole was with taijutsu, so he decided that the best move would be to try and end this before it started. This way he could not only not only show sal how much stronger he had gotten, but also win his ice cream. Cole knew that sal wasn't dumb either so he would have to come up with a distraction so he could get an attack in.

cole would make a water clone beside him, and then move into the tree line hiding in one of the trees to the left of the water clone. He would make sure that sal couldn't see him as he approached by standing on they other side of the tree from were sal should be coming from. It wasn't long after cole got into position that sal make his way into the clearing. Cole would wait till sal was about 20 feet from him before he put his plan into motion. “Lets do this for real” the clone would tell sal. Sal would take the bait and charge the clone at a speed of 150. The clone couldn't even react, but cole himself could see the moves. He did it fast and cole could just make out what was going on.

Sals attack was impressive, and cole was glade that he put the clone their and not himself. He knew that attack would break through even coles strongest defense. Cole would wait for sal impressive attack to finish with the water clone coming apart as sals tiger was biting down on its neck. Before he would run at a speed of 50 behind sal stopping at 3 feet from him. Cole knew that this was just out of sals reach, and so he should have enough time to finish the hand signs he was making on the way to sal, as he stops and a crouching motion and slides a few inches to a stop on one knee. Ending 3 feet from him he made the last hand sign and touches the ground. Ice would move across the ground at a speed of 80. The ice would try and cover sal, and if successful would cover sals hole body in ice health of 90. Cole was sure that sal wouldn't be able to break free of the ice, and if he was able to pull this off he would get his ice cream. While at the same time he knew that sal was smart and may have been able to see through coles plan.

Salzem cocked his head to the side in wonder. Some how, Cole dissipated into water at the touch of his flaming fists. Salzem stopped his attack at the end of his Morning Peacock, letting the clone dissolve into it's base elements. No sooner than when he had done this, Cole ran up behind him at a speed of 50, weaving signs. He was about to charge into him before Ice began to arc towards him. He didn't have time to react as it covered his body, holding him still. He couldn't move, he could hardly breath. He was stuck. Or was he? Salzem focused energy into his gauntlets, activating their dormant ability. The runes on the gloves glowed a deep red and the light seemed to cover all of Salzem's arms. The ice around him began to weaken. It weakened just enough to give him enough room to break free. Salzem tore through the weakened ice wall as it's health was now 75. Once he'd freed himself, He'd toss a rather large chunk of ice at Cole (speed 130). Using this distraction, Salzem would activate his most devastating technique. He slammed his hands into the tiger sign, letting his chakra flow. Dark emotions tainted his chakra, turning it from a light blue... to a ghastly, evil dark red. A chakra cloak formed around Salzem, seemingly able to taint the very ground it touched. Then Salzem, with a snarl, threw himself at Cole. His speed now being 170, easily surpassed Cole's detection. Salzem slid up underneath Cole's guard, and brought his fist back, ready to deliver an uppercut of 150 strength into his stomach. However... for just a moment, Salzem's bloodlust seemed to cease. He was aware of the force behind the blow and if he were to strike Cole with it, he would probably be obliterated. Although difficult, Salzem managed to rain in most of his power but keep the speed. The uppercut would hit Cole's gut with a solid 170 speed and 19 strength, putting him out of commission just like that. Although doubtfully needing to do so, if this didn't put Cole down immediately, Salzem would proceed with the rest of his technique, grapping Cole's ankles, throwing him into the air, jumping up to meet him, then grabbing his head and slamming back down to earth, all with the same speed and power.

Cole had trapped sal in the Ice Prison jutsu, but it wasn't but a few seconds before the runes on sals gloves started to glow red. Cole could see that the ice was getting weaker as the runes got brighter, and the ice started to crack and splinter. Cole seeing this would jump back putting about 20 feet between them. Before the ice broke cole would start to make a few hand signs. With the last hand sign taking place as sal is starting to break free of the ice. The mist rises up and starts to fill the air and area with a thick mist so that not even cole could see the hand in front of his face. Cole would then move 5 feet to the right so that he wouldn't be in the same spot when sal got free. He would then move on to making a few more hand signs. After the last hand sign it would start to rain, as cole use the Rain Tiger at Will justu. With this jutsu he could tell that sal was out of the ice by now.

Cole would pull the ice from the Ice Prison Jutsu. The ice would wrap around coles right arm. He would wait for sal to move towards him. He knew that sal had a way to find him in the mist as well, but coles jutsu was more precise.

When cole felt sal coming at him he would thrust his arm towards the direction that sal was coming from. A black dragon with red eyes would fly from his right arm at a speed of 80 power of 80. cole would hold back on the power of the dragon as to not kill sal, but he knew that if the jutsu hit it cole should be able to finish the battle with a deciding blow with his sword.

If the Black Dragon Blizzard jutsu hit cole would move at a speed of 200 with the body flicker jutsu stopping behind sal after drawing his sword. He would put the sword to sals back and ask if he admitted defeat, and that he wanted a vanilla ice cream cone if sal did admit that cole had won the spar.

As soon as Salzem broke from the ice and saw Cole summon the mist as he did before, Salzem halted his plans for the Demon Cyclone, letting his darker emotions settle back down within. He still held that piece of ice though, just in case there were any projectiles that needed blocking. Then, as Salzem knew it would, Rain began to fall. He was becoming quite familiar with this strategy. Salzem looked deeply through the mist, waiting for something to indicate a trap. Salzem wandered into the mist, as he had done with all his other battles. The mist was so dense, one couldn't see his own nose if he looked. However, there was noise. It may have been raining, but... he could hear footsteps in the watery earth. Salzem stopped walking and listened, tracking the steps, turning in time as they moved. Suddenly, Salzem saw faded red lights in the mist, seemingly a distance away from him... And they were approaching quickly! On instinct, Salzem used a technique he learned while training. It was called Gangeki. Salzem through a firm, straight punch at the lights as they drew within arm's length (Strength 105 Speed 100) His fist would connect with something. Something hard and cold. VERY cold. Likely, the Black Dragon Blizzard would shatter at the force of the punch, as it's power is now 55 due to Salzem's gloves still being active, sending a shockwave up Cole's arm. Salzem would then, aim his palms at the spot where the ice-thing had come from, Throwing his hands forward in a double palm strike. A giant tiger of wind would shoot out, and in a roar, it would charge off into the mist. Because the beast is made of violent winds, it would whip away the mist, hitting two birds with one stone, or in this case, One Cole and one Bird if he was lucky. Salzem would be able to see Cole, if he was still there, as the Daytime Tiger struck him. The force would not be enough to kill, but enough to incapacitate him (Speed 50, strength 19)
