When a Monster Blows up your Village Adapt

There's a sand pit, about 50 meters in all diameters (I.E a giant sand box) with a large mass of trees surrounding the immediate area, with a opening to the north, the mouth of it can see the Kage's chamber however once inside the trees are aligned so you can not see out and they are mutated(Thanks Youka for the pollution) together with a health of 50 per tree, the trees are 3 feet thick and 20 meters tall, basically a big eye sour, with Sync directly in the middle of the sand box.


Sync let out a sigh as he cracked ever bone in his body, his chakra threads seemed to form from his fingers as he willed them "Li...I haven't forgotten...I miss Aios..." Sync said cracking his neck as he pulled out three kunai, doing the his normal warm ups Sync let out a smirk, not a cocky smirk but one that showed he was glad to be alive, glad to remember...glad to hate the man who was his Kage, he had taken away Aios, and that was something Sync never wanted, Aios had tought him the things you need to survive as a puppet master, the words were... Chakra... Threads, the way puppet master's puppets could move all the ways that it did, the single handed reason why Li lasted so long...Just then Sync remembered "RABI IS STILL IN AME!" Sync said with a mumble, the Raikage would tell him to calm his ass down but Rabi was more than just a puppet, it was his first piece of art.

Rabi was his treasure like a mother's baby, Syncs eyes glazed over in anger as he threw a kunai at a tree connecting a chakra thread and slowly but surely pulling it back, it had been awhile since Sync would do this, but he knew it was time to unleash his Kekkei Genkei.So he did releasing his power and blue tattoos now forming over him like his chakra streams were coming to surface "I am Sync Arachdonus...And I am a idiot" he said simply kunai in hand, his chakra pool now 50 his string moving at that speed his body was mastered however stamina was against him as he didn't have much of it, with a grin he held his kunai in hand hoping someone would come by to spar with, however he wasn't sure if the locals would kill him or not, and he would probably regret dying at this stage of his life.

Ah, Kumo. Despite its looks, Kozan felt invigorated when he thought about how much better it was compared to the "Old Kumo"... the one run by his detestable aunt and her man-whore. Disgusting. The current raikage clearly knew how to handle things better... and spies like those four that he had defeated earlier were nothing but trash. What kind of people would he be meeting today? Hopefully, no one. Having to clean up the village like he had was a most distasteful task indeed. His mother happened to be out at her "work" (she was most likely just selling her body to some man for cheap, what a slut), so he decided to go to a training grounds that he had never been before.
Nightblood by his side, he descended the stairs and walked outside, in his standard black garb (perfect for the normally chilly Kumo). He found the ideal spot, and set of towards it at a rather brisk pace; no sense in wasting time. As he walked, he admired the trees. Symbols of humanity's inherent evil, Nightblood reminded him. How easy they would cut down... again, just like human beings. How pitiful. He would have expected them to hold up better compared to the soft flesh of men, but sadly not.
At that moment, he walked through the mouth of the training grounds to behold a male yelling out his sorrows to the world like a whiny bitch and taking his immature frustration out on... a tree? He recognized the headband symbol. Amegakure, huh? Hadn't his aunt patched through an alliance with that village? Well, then, he was most likely not a spy. A spy wouldn't be so stupid to wear a different village's headband within the actual bounds of Kumo... and its fields of rot, naturally. Very well. He'd attempt, at the very least, to talk to this apparently very angsty person.
"What's wrong? You seem to be having a bad day," you little shit, Kozan said (and thought). His speech was polite, but his thoughts were burning with disdain. Whatever his problems were, they couldn't be that titanic to throw a tantrum like a child.

Sync saw the new comer he wasn't exactly sure what to make of the man or more well known 'boy' he hadn't met the child but his face didn't show pleased, possibly like Sync himself however a certain evil aura to him, however Sync couldn't make a full round observation on the ma.. Boy but he could certainly tell that from the body posture the boy held he was no a kid who could be pushed around easily, Sync wasn't sure just what to make of him, aside from his dark possibly white hair and his uncanny normal height.

To be honest the first think Sync thought as the boy neared was 'This kid is too preppy to be a ninja right?' Sync though as his eyes spotted the boys headband, indeed he was a Kumo ninja in all aspects(Aside from the murderous possibly insane armor clad hulk busting maniac look) this boy was indeed a force of Kumo, good or bad Sync couldn't really decide on it before the boy was in talking distance.

'What's wrong ?' he said to Sync at first.Sync had no idea how to react what was wrong?EVERYTHING he single handedly caused his whole village to die with a simple conversation with a mad man, had the woman who had trained him brutally murdered, as well as Li getting abducted by the monster WITH HIM IN LI'S PUPPET was brought to a place he had never been before and dropped off in some remote part of the village, there was nothing RIGHT about Sync's situation.

The next thing the boy said not long after the first question was 'you seem to have had a bad day?' Sync had lost count of the days spent wondering Kumo, no home, no food, he was hungry, craving any food he could get, Kumo days were cold but the nights were colder, still Sync couldn't let the boy know what was up so he looked at the boy, Sync had long lost his normal happy eyes and now were filled with pure undeniable hate as he licked his lips ready to speak.

"Actually, a bad couple of weeks" was what came out of Syncs lip.Why?Because when a ninja addresses a ninja it isn't because he wants to know you life story but just so he knows if you're mentally able to continue your day Sync blinked his eyes at the boy.A grin grew on Sync's face.

"Actually, your Kage, or well both of our kage abducted me from Amegakure with my old Kage Li, and kind of adopted me into Kumo until I am strong enough to go into the world alone" Sync let out figuring the boy might need a laugh he began to speak again "It seems Kumo likes pillaging villages with one swing of their blades, because Amegakure is just rubble now" Sync said showing no emotion, he wasn't attached to much aside from his god damn puppet that was left on the battlefield because Youka probably had his hands full with just Li and all of Li's puppets.

"Might I get your Name sir?" Sync asked popping his own little question figuring being nice was the way to go, however not exactly sure if trusting the boy was a good idea, seeing as one kumo ninja had blown up his village it was rightfully assumed that Kumo was ahead in power.

Another piece of evidence that this guy was (probably) not a spy was his physical appearance. Noramally, spies would look (in Kozan's mind) like normal people, that Jason guy or that kid that had been stalking Ashur, for instance. No, this one had this fabulous green hair that would make chlorophyll ashamed of itself. As strange as it was to Kozan, it meant that this guy stuck out, whether he wanted to or not. Not exactly the most ideal choice were one of the other villages to send a spy into Kumo to gather intelligence. At any rate, Kozan didn't know it, but he apparently looked quite harsh at the time to this kid from Ame.

He couldn't possibly fathom what was going on in the boy's head right now, but he had some idea. Had he just lost a fight against a friend? Had he been super shamed by the Kumo ninja (which was to be expected)? Or was it perhaps some personal issue? Bullying, or maybe family business? Such banal things in other people's lives didn't really matter to Kozan, so he prepared for some kind of stupid whining about some trivial issue. He had other things to worry about at the moment.

So, this guy had been abducted, huh? From Ame, no less, which Kozan inferred from this guy's speech meant that it had been destroyed by none other than the raikage. Hehe. As expected of him. What better way to show how strong Kumo was than to crush Ame underneath his foot? A demonstration that even those tiny villages that clutched to Kumo for protection were not immune to its judgement. This scorn wouldn't manifest on Kozan's face or body at all; he knew how to keep his cool in front of others. However, he was already not liking this boy. He just seemed rather... well, childish.

"I'm Kozan."

He spoke simply, giving only his first name; he didn't want this guy to associate him with any particular members of his family, if at all possible. Who knew what information people had on his family branch? Best not to give things like that away either, even if this guy wasn't a spy. As it was, even when he was with his best friend Ashur, he didn't feel comfortable talking about his extended family either. Regardless, it was time to scope out this boy, just like he had with the last two.

"So, your village was destroyed. So what? Is that why you're so upset?" The tone of his voice would be pretty moderate, tinged ever so slightly with a hint of derisiveness. He couldn't possibly respect this guy if he was just some random genin from Ame who had been trampled over by the invasion (and who was probably lucky to be alive). If anything, now that Ame was gone, he could take this guy's legs too if need be. That is, if he was really annoying enough to warrant such things. Kozan himself didn't go out of his way to collect legs.

He'd wait patiently for the boy's answer, his face still serious.

Sync blinked as he heard the kids name, rather weird he had never met anyone with a K in his name, Sync analyzed him for a moment noticing something was off...He wasn't as skiddish as most ninja would be in this scenario, a normal ninja might have just left or let alone put up a guard when in the presence of a man who had admitted to not coming to the village by will, instead by the raikage's will.

The boy's name seemed to be "Kozan" Sync thought in his mind "Kozan the barbarian?" Sync shook his head and blinked again as the boy spoke more, it was obvious he was fluent in language and had a surprising hate in his eyes, it wasn't the best or worst Syncs ever had, seeing as Li wasn't too impressed that Sync had gotten his village blown to shit because he wanted to simply leave and get away from the monster clad in armor.

'This guy has a weird look on him...Seriousness must have been this boy's main feature like seriously...' Sync thought to himself the voices in his head telling him to be careful when choosing his words.

Sync listened to Kozan speak more 'so your village was destroyed?' was the first of what Kozan said.Obviously it hadn't passed Sync by unnoticed however it wasn't that...it was something else...something else entirely...a felt of self lost...not normal lost but the lost of the thought of owning up to his teacher, knowing that Kumo ga kure was pretty ruthless in execution Sync's first though was 'don't piss this guy off with a stupid answer' as he hear Kozan speak more. 'so what?Is that why you're upset' Kozan continued...Sync thought more.

Sync's eyes faded into hate once more as he spoke "No Kozan...Something much more trivial than that" Sync said bringing his hands up to his shoulders he elbows pointed down like he was giving a I don't know posture but eyes open in all seriousness.

"The raikage of this village...Killed someone who was destined to fall before me...and for that I will never forgive myself...unless I kill someone I deem stronger than Her, At least, I assume the Raikage killed her along with the rest of Ame Ga kure and the buildings to boot" Sync said in one single take, no breaks no breaths a simple statement "But to do that, I have to train, get stronger...And I have to...Kill Li Dian..." Sync said finishing his statement not knowing if Kozan would rat on his plot, Sync wasn't even sure if he could kill Li let alone scratch Li at his current power, it was simply a dream, more or less actually a goal to Sync as he went on.

"Kozan...It bugs me...That threw this all your expression...has stayed the same...I told you I was kidnapped, and brought here...Does that not bother you?would you not question whether or not I would attack you, or any other villager?" Sync asked lowering his arms to his side, his eyes shown with curiosity wondering why this boy had not killed him the second he had said he was kidnapped, Spys and thieves are a thing, why had this boy not moved?

Sync waited silently for his answer no guard up, no reason to block, and no idea what the boy might do next.

His first impression of the boy was that he had yet to grow much and realize that despite how far mankind could go, the world was a harsh place, and humanity had to be cast aside sometimes for the sake of survival. However, as he listened to the boy speak, he began to put aside his rather hostile thoughts and consider what he had to say. Perhaps the village destruction wasn't the only thing behind the pain of this one's voice. If there was something else, Kozan wanted to know what it was. He was still young enough to have a healthy amount of curiosity, after all.

This one's eyes burned with something... familiar. It was like a reflection (albeit slightly different) of the hatred within Kozan's own soul. Did he, too, have some kind of shitty rotten family like Kozan did? It didn't seem quite likely, but what did he know? It was worth noting at this point that Kozan realized that he had seen a string of chakra emit from one of the boy's fingers before. What could those be used for? What kind of range did they have? Most of all, were they vulnerable enough to be cut?

So, he wasn't angry that his village was destroyed so much as that he missed his quarry? Huh... Kozan could see something in that. This guy wasn't so bad after all. However, he still had his doubts, as usual with people from the outside. Some woman had been this Ame boy's target... and Kozan needed to know who it was. Solely for his own purposes, of course. Nothing special in particular at all, only that he was awfully curious. He'd never really had time to talk to someone who'd lived outside of the village before. What would happen to this guy now that he was in Kumo, anyways?

It was true the Kozan's expression had remained a little hard throughout all this. However, at this quip from the Ame child, the corner of his mouth would twitch into a smirk.
"If you were to cause any disruption, I'd take your limbs without hesitation. Why do you think the raikage allows you to roam free as you please? He knows that if you were to make a mistake, you'd be taken apart in an instant."
This said, Kozan would wait for the boy's response. Would he respond with bluster? That remained to be seen.

Sync couldn't help as hit grin grew when Kozan mentioned delimbing him, a little rash wasn't it?I mean ripping peoples limbs off was effective when trying to detain an enemy, however Sync hate the raikage, he would never attempt to fight the monster right now, he had no puppets, that's when Sync though '...Puppet strings...what if I...' Sync though to himself his mind racing thoughts and actions weren't a thing as millions of thoughts passed threw his head, he had no idea in the end what to think, Kozan didn't make an actual treat, more so a warning not to fuck up.

Sync threw out the stupid thought of even asking the boy if he'd ever delimbed someone, whether or not it were a ninja the answer was yes, that's how the man's posture looked, however Sync grin turned to a smile, this was how ninja from Kumo Ga Kure worked, they would hurt a ninja who betrayed them without question, Sync shook his head, Kozan probably took notice to this, it wasn't a fighting shake, more of a 'get that idea out of my head and let me think' shake.

Sync gave Kozan a thumbs up "Don't worry Kozan, I will try and keep my fight out of kumo ga kure, as to keep your village safe from disaster...Your eyes...they still haven't changed...I know this is sudden...but what is your specialty when in a fight...I'm a puppet...One of the legendary Puppet users however, one of the very few...who can summon up to one hundred strings to aid me in combat...I want to know...what is your power?" Sync said calmly his voice changing to a dark, ominous pitch, his green hair swaying as a strong gust of wind would come over both of them.

Sync would put pressure on his feet to keep him from actually being pushed by the gust of wind, the sun was three fourths of the way of the day cycle, meaning night time would be upon the boys soon, Sync wasn't sure how much he could handle with Kozan and night, Sync was always more active in the night, and with Kozan here he might just ask for a friendly spar if Kozan wasn't too powerful, seeing as Sync knew that if he fought Kozai and neither of them agreed Kozai might thrash him harder than someone beating a red headed step child.

"What are you up to..." Ragnarok spoke inside of Sync's head with his dark pitch.

'We need to know what's up with this village, Kozan is a cool guy...but we also need to train to avoid getting kidnapped again, Youka is a monster when it comes to that shit' Sync thought to himself.

Sync waited with a smile on his face for Kozan's answer he wouldn't be upset with Kozan if he refused, Sync could honestly understand why he might keep mute about his specialty in case one day Youka would pin Kozan against Sync in a death match or something.

Huh. Well, it looked like this guy wouldn't be much of  a threat, at least, if he went with what he said. Human beings were rotten to the core inherently, and lying was a part of this. In that moment, Kozan decided that just like with every other person he had met, he couldn't trust this one, and would have to be ready to cut him down where he stood. Already, he could feel Nightblood's thirst for the boy (obviously not in a sexual manner), and was having a hard time quieting the blade. He could feel the strength of its persuasion, not that it really had any overt effects on his mind. Rather, it was making quite a convincing argument for butchering this kid. After all, he was a foreigner. No one would miss him...

To be fair, however, he had just barely met him. Having come to the tentative conclusion that he was NOT a spy, therefore, Kozan considered what to do next. As it was, the answer came to him in the form of what Sync said next. So he wanted to know Kozan's particular forte, now did he? In return, Kozan noted, he had already offered his own: puppets.

Kugutsu: one of the many fields that a ninja could use. He didn't think that there'd be any in Ame, however... interesting. As the sinister, slightly sulfurous wind snaked between them, Kozan's smirk widened by a few degrees. So, by changing his tone of voice, this Ame brat sought to.... what, intimidate him? Being as strong as he was, Kozan wasn't even phased by the gust of wind, his white hair ruffling slightly. Oh, he thought, it would be all too easy to just bisect this one. Maybe he'd play with him just a little... not like he had much else to do.

"I suppose you could say that I'm a swordsman." He'd casually place his right hand on the hilt of Nightblood in a foreward grip, the action itself seeming harmless enough."Although, I hold no standards that a normal swordsman might." This cryptic comment alluded to his own lack of "honor in a fight". It wasn't just enough to win. He had to utterly humiliate his opponent, like he had done with that Jason kid at the gates. People like that got what they deserved from Kozan... a good old-fashioned loss of limbs, the legs in particular.

"The most direct answer I can give you is that my power is one that allows me to wave hunks of metal about in the air..." But of course, it was never as simple as that. Kozan knew this full well, having familiarized himself with Nightblood's various mechanics.

"Care to experience it for yourself?"

Sync wasn't too keen on Kozan's smirk it wasn't exactly a calming sight to Sync's eyes, I mean when a man threatens to delimb anyone who posed a threat towards Kumo, Sync oddly enough enjoyed Kozan's company more than most as Kozan was...Special, Sync could tell that he was strong not only by the fact to Kozan had a blade that looked like a weapon out of an Tim Burten movie but also because of how quick minded he was, it was odd enough being as it is that Kozan is quick minded but Sync felt that he was also, very much at a different level than Sync himself.

Sync wasn't sure what to make of this, the field they were on wasn't the worst for puppet users, however Sync WAS at a disadvantage via power, Sync let out a chuckle however when Kozan inform him that his power 'Allowed him to wave hunks of metal threw the air' Sync was just laughing at it for the fact of laughing due to the fact that even Kozan in his own was was grinning... or maybe smiling for this?I wouldn't matter to Sync after Kozan asked him to spar, or train, however it probably would once they were sparing.

Sync let out a long "uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh...Sure?" with a normal tone not confident in any means as he took 10 steps back, letting loose his Kekkei Genkei as his tattoos came back, Sync grinned "This Kekkei Genkei is meerly a chakra booster, figure I should tell you before we begin, BUT I don't wish to be delimbs, so please, lets just have a friendly spar to avoid me being deheaded" Sync said with a laugh allowing eight chakra threads to grab 8 senbon needles now pointing his hand out forward to Kozan.

"I wont hate you if you accidentally delimb me, because Kozan, you're the close person I have to being a friend in this entire village" Sync said with a honest smile, as he would wait for Kozan to make his first move, hopefully it wasn't too quick for him to detect.

That's right... Kozan would remove any threat to Kumo. It was what he existed for, was it not? To purge even Kumo's own ranks of taints such as those three who Nightblood had executed. He had considered taking that one stalker kid's legs as well, but Nightblood had incapcitated him already, so there was no need for such a thing. Still... it would have been an excellent humiliation. Kozan had heard that old soldiers and ninja who had lost limbs could go through a variety of mental and physical... complications. To force that upon someone gave Kozan a rather pleasant feeling in his core.

That gave his soul a little startling feeling. Hey... weren't these the same feelings that his Aunt Misaki were said to have when she was younger? Eh, it didn't matter. Kozan had stopped caring about that entirely. All that mattered was that he attain greater power than any single Kumo nin... no, then all of them combined. He wanted to be able to take on the entire village without fail. Nightblood's ability to render multiple opponents useless with a small output of chakra was already useful enough; however, it wouldn't meet the requirements for what he wanted to do by itself.

As soon as Sync said "sure", Kozan's smirk would become one of twisted, deranged amusement. Oh, this was going to be fun. Yes, Kozan decided, he'd play with this Ame boy if he so desired. First, to test his reflexes. With a brief movement of his right arm, Kozan would seize one of the five kunai that he had in his belt and flick it casually point-first toward the Ame kid (whose name he still didn't know). Having been done before Sync took his steps back, the arm itself would be moving at 140 speed and 76 strength, and the kunai moving at 148 speed and 76 strength, thus having a total sharpness of 106. This kunai, if it hit its target, (which it no doubt would), would puncture straight through the Ame boy's right shoulder, just under the end of his clavicle. This would sever a central nerve that would leave the boy without control of his right arm. The kunai would continue for seventy meters in total, the two boys being about five meters apart.

Should this hit, Kozan would speak. "Oh, my", he would say, the derisiveness in his voice becoming more apparent. "It looks like you got a little cut. Maybe you should get patched up, huh?"
