Re: Assemble! Kurisu Leads a Squad

When Tori Uzumaki had woken up that morning, she had expected things to go a different way. She wasn't expecting what had actually happened. Let me start from the beginning. The young Uzumaki girl had managed to sleep very little! At about five in the morning, she gave up and finally got out of bed. She could hear the thunder in the distance and it gave a promise that rain was in the near future! Rain made missions for some people a lot harder, but for some reason, just the opposite for Tori! Rain is a small hindrance that makes you stronger when you accomplish any goals as it is coming down! Once you are over the obstacle, you achieve the goal! And this mission seemed to be one that was important to achieve.
First and foremost,before the mission, she had to meet with Team Fuku for a meeting and some training. They were being trained by Yensung Aburame, head of the Aburame Clan and Hotarus husband. He had began to train Hotaru, and she became a Genin and has actually learned how to use her bugs. Luckily, the meeting was early in the morning! She was hoping Hotaru would be there but was not certain, because Hotaru was pregnant. Tori, took a shower, brushed out
her long thick red hair and pulled it back in a braided ponytail! She washed her face and brushed her teeth as she continued thinking about the importance of her mission and of her training! Yes, training is important to! When Tori moved back home to Konoha after her brief time of being a missing nin, Shinji had began to train her on how to use her chains properly. She did already have some knowledge of it from Arashi's training, but since his death she had quit training, and after that she went looking for Prim and was kidnapped, then she was kidnapped by someone else after her escape. So training for her had been limited, but now, things had changed for her. She had more responsibility because Shinji had left her as the head of the clan before he went missing. And now she has more responsibility, which is why today was important for her!

She headed out the door to her meeting with Team Fuku and only an hour into it, Yensung lost his eye from an attack that he had asked Akki Senju to do! And since Tori had a spare Sharingan from her deceased boyfriend Gekido Uchiha, she had gone to the hospital and given it to the nurses to replace Yens bad eye!(The other had gone to her boyfriend Haru Hyuuga.) As usual, Team Fuku has a tendency to help and support each other! But when Tori looked up at
the clock, she realized she was late for her mission, a quick goodbye to her team and she was gone!

Even though she knew they wouldn't be at the meeting place, Tori still ran by there, sure enough they were gone! Tori cursed herself, how could she have let the mission slip her mind? This was a firm example of irresponsibility, and she had tried so hard to prove she was a responsible teenager! Tori of course was not the most irresponsible person but she did know that her current responsibility was to find her team she was doing the mission with. She already knew where they were going, now to head out and find them.
Exiting the gates or Konoha without permission or without someone escorting you was forbidden thanks to all the missing ninja! But she had permission and technically she was suppose to be with a group! As she went down a path towards the place where they were suppose to escort people, she began to notice footprints! This was a good sign! She was on the right path! Keeping herself alert she began to notice she was not alone! She sighed heavily. "Seriously? This is not my day, and unfortunately it is not about to be yours either!" She said as she released two chains from each palm, they were dangling right below her sleeves of her fishnet overshirt!
(Yes fishnet, keep in mind Team Fuku copied Prims style;))
She spun around quickly and with her fast reflexes wrapped some guy who was about to attack her in a chakra chain! and with the fast movement of her other hand, she managed to whip out a kunai and hit the guy right in the left eye! Whether or not he dies from this is not important, it did however stop the attacker! Tori knew she must be getting closer to wherever they were! She was attacked one more time, and using the same technique, stopped her attacker! Knock him unconscious and hopefully he would just bleed out from his wounds!
She finally stumbled upon her group and it looks as though they were fighting attackers as well! They had been ambushed! Tori had then figured out that the reason she had gotten attacked was because she was nearing the area her team was! She approached with caution as the other people in her group were finishing off the attackers.
“Sorry, I am late, I had some stuff come up unfortunately, I’m here now. Looks like I may have shown up at a good time!” Tori said as she approached her group. She was a little embarrassed at being so late, but she was hoping they wouldn’t be too upset with her.
“I am Tori Uzumaki.” She said introducing herself in case she was unknown. Even if they did know of her she wasn't sure she had met any of them before. “Even though I was late I am glad I was able to help out a little, I was attacked right before I got here. I guess whoever attacked had look outs back there!” She explained as she pointed behind her. This mission was going to prove to be tough, but Tori had every confidence they could complete it!

The leader of what appears to be a very weak squad watches the scenes unfold seeing them fail their mission the kill the person the Leaf is escorting. From the looks of things he will have to take matters into his own hands. His position would be in a tree to the east about 25 meters away from the path, his chakra would be suppressed, it would seem that he would have to resort to his traps, and his skilled assassination techniques for this one. In the trees would be 4 pairs of Kunai launchers, two on each side of the road, they would be 20 feet off of the ground and coated with plants and the like, making it look like a part of the tree without covering the hole where they would be shot from. Each one of these launchers having 20 Kunai inside them, with very thin strings tied to the handles.

his Kunai trap is not the only one out there however, there is also a pit fall trap that is coated with the grounds natural surroundings, perfectly disguising it nicely. in side the trap, layering the walls would be explosive tags, about 50 in total, making sure that if anyone falls into the pit fall trap they would pull down on the trip wires, setting them off, ensuring a quick death.

The pitfall trap, and the Kunai launchers would be located 100 meters from where the group is now, they should be hitting it any moment as the captain watches from the shadows to see which trap would be triggered first, he would be behind the launchers being as deep in the forest as stated before, but with him being on a straight shot with the launchers it opens up many things that he would be able to do

Ari observed the lay of the land in an attempt to understand her feeling of unease. The groups attacked from both sides and front, with the higher ranks attacking them front on. However, their involvement in the assault wasn't so much commanding the other grunts it seemed. They all attacked in a fairly similar fashion, surely someone else was behind their tactics. Noting the new arrival's presence wasn't in Ari's mind as she puzzled away at this scenario. If a leader were further down the path he would merely be exposing himself to them, allowing their attacks to overcome him. A leader would not place themselves in such a disadvantaged position after seeing their squad wiped out.

"I'll cover the Jounin's west side, you cover the east." Ari whispered to Ita, pouncing ten meters to the escort Jounin's side at her full speed to land on an imaginary target beside him; she kept low to the ground during the pounce and immediately assumed a guarded stance just behind Kurisu's right side after her arrival. If a leader were present he would be somewhere they couldn't see and likely nearby to watch his men, not placing himself out in the open like a fool. Whether or not anything else lay in wait for them Ari wasn't aware and could not assume to think about it. She focused more on the thought of more grunts being nearby or the leader's attack, whatever it may involve. Ari focused on staying aware of any movements in the trees, ground or air. They were on a path surrounded by forest after all, an attack may come from any direction.

Since Tori had disposed of two more grunts they'd somehow been unaware of, Ari remained even more vigilant. "Please watch everyone's backs Tori, we're counting on you now you're here."

Ita could sense Ari felt the same way he did, that there could still be someone else. The boy assumed his position to the East of the shinobi which they were escorting. Ita possessed phenomenal deductive skills and figured that their opponent would not be waiting for them in plain sight to meet the same demise as the rest of his comrades, referring to the weaklings which the group had disposed of earlier, some dead, some clinging to life. Even Tori, the girl which arrived late, had no problem taking care or two weaklings which had gathered enough strength to make another attempt on a girl’s life or were too scared to show themselves after witnessing what had happened to the rest. Either way, Ita figured whoever was left would most likely be waiting for the right opportunity to strike because they would be out numbered. Maybe even setting a trap?

In the horizon, the path started to go uphill, obscuring the groups view. Ita thought it would be best to send a shadow clone to scout out what laid ahead so that the group wouldn’t walk into some sort of trap. On that note, Ita halted the group, and created the clone hand sign. Upon creating the seal, a perfect replica of Ita appeared in a puff of smoke. The clone then began to sprint ahead towards the top of the elevated part of the path. Once he made it about 50 yards away from the group, the clone tripped an almost invisible wire, which caused a fury of kunai to be produced from over head down upon Ita’s clone which was reduced to a cloud of smoke.
This would have happened in plain sight of the group before the inclination on the path, proving that both Ari’s and Ita’s intuitions were correct. Now that Ita’s clone had dispersed, Ita then thrusted his hands behind his back and into his ninja weapon pouches and retrieved two kunai, one in each hand. About the hilt of these kunai, where explosive tags which Ita had wrapped about them, waiting to use them for a certain moment like this. The boy then released them towards the spots on either sides of the path where the kunai had been produced from at a speed of 90. As the kunai soared through the air, Ita then begun weaving several more hand signs to his groups disbelief. Ita wanted to make sure there would be no more surprises and this was a chance for him to use this technique. Ram>Rat>Bird>Boar>Tiger. Upon finishing the last hand seal, both of the kunai traveling in separate directions split into about 100 more kunai a piece. Ita made sure the group was out of the blast radius because they were far away and limited the amount of shadow kunai he produced. The exploding tags proceeded to erupt once they met the area from which the kunai were produced from the trap and completely leveled the area, including the trees around it, forcing who was ever in hiding near that area to have to show themselves or escape. The explosion would also take care of any remaining kunai traps, along which causing the ground to shake enough to remove the foliage which camouflaged the pitfall which was just a few meters past the trip wire, exposing the hole laced with exploding tags.

Ita let out a sigh of relief, now that he had discovered there were so many traps in front of them that could have made their situation a real hassle. Now all was left was to deal with who set these traps so that they could finish their mission and finally become chunin.

Tori heard her say it was up to her to cover them. Now that was easy enough! Tori was completely capable of doing something like this and it wasn't impossible to. Tori had a lot of self confidence since being back in Konoha and thanks to Shinji's proper training and properly raising her after her missing nin ways had set in! Of course the missing nin knowledge is what is making her so valuable to this mission! Yeah she knows how they think! With two chains hanging loosely at both sides from her hands with rather large hooks, she prepared to cover Ari and, the other kid. Ita was his name she thought. He looked familiar she had seen him around the village but wasn't sure if he was that guy or not!
Suddenly she saw a person following Ari! Yeah not her watch. Moving as fast as she possibly could Tori moved to about 10 meters from the guy and using her chain she stabbed him thru the back piercing his heart killing him instantly! She yanked back breaking the chain! One more grunt closer to achieving their goal! Wait was there a grunt killing goal? She shrugged and suddenly noticed one going towards Ita's direction! Not on her watch! She fired out another chain and wrapped it around his neck before firing one through his chest piercing his heart! Well, she was killing people! Not like she ever did it herself before! She had seen a lot of death though! Tis the life of a ninja, you kill some, you lose some! Or was it you win some you lose some? Either or!
As She noticed Ita and Ari stop what they were doing because they were finished, she spoke up. "So who set all this stuff up? These grunts are seriously weak, surely someone else is behind this!"She asked curiously as she looked around! This can't be all that they have to deal with, surely there was someone else!

The greatest team of all time continued down their legendary path to fulfill their ultimate destiny, though it was getting harder to believe since he was no longer actually sensing any other chakra presences in the area but that could be a stealth move. He didn't care much about the situation, simply walking along with the jounin they were hold hostage for lots of ryo and weapons or escorting somewhere. Along the way he focused on reading 'The Art of Peace" book that he'd found, having brushed off some dirt from it he was surprised how good of a condition that the book was in. The words on the pages seemed to speak to him, triggering the start of a change for his lifestyle.

The Nara watches the scene play out, seeing one of the Leaf making hand seals, before summoning a clone in a poof of smoke, the clone would then proceed to walk forward toward the trap, not wanting everything to be set off this quickly and needlessly he begins to act quickly to save the traps and to hopefully trick the group. He closes his hands together in a tiger seal as he stretches his shadow through the forest silently and unseen, going on long the shadow of the wire, making sure to move it with such steadiness that it is undetectable by anyone or anything. once the clone would almost be on the trap he would extend his shadow from the wire, connecting with his foot before he can trigger the wire with his final step. After ensnaring him he lifts his foot higher to avoid the wire as he reaches into a pouch grabbing a kunai as he holds it up to his mouth, pressing it hard against it to prevent the clone from calling out, but it would appear that he is pulling it out to defend himself. With his other hand he would lift it up slightly, waving his hand toward the group, beckoning them to go forward toward the traps. Due to the Nara knowing where each of the traps are he would have him walk forward a few steps without triggering anything, making sure to position his body to block the small string which is his shadow.

As events unfolded, Ari decided to rely on Ita's opinion as he created a Shadow clone. It was either the same or very similar to the clones Kurisu used against her during their training, that was all she could tell at face value. Deciding to trust Ita's decision to send a clone ahead as a scout, Ari would wait for the official go-ahead from the horse's mouth. She wasn't about to proceed on the clone's approval of the path alone without the creator's decision. However, since everything was up in the air and they could be attacked at any moment, Ari decided to take a step she'd previously declined.

Forming the Tiger handseal, Ari activated the Basic Enhancement Technique. At face value, nothing would happen, as she was under the influence of the Advanced Transformation Technique which prevented any aesthetic changes from taking place. Otherwise her skin would take a grey tinge and her muscles would slightly increase in size, and she wasn't about to reveal that this effect was physical to any outside viewers by deactivating the Advanced Transformation Technique. Ari kept guarding the side she'd chosen and waited for something more substantial to happen.

As Ita watched his clone proceed down the path and then stop and call froth the group, Ita decided it was okay to return the clone from where it had come. Ita made a hand sign and the clone disappeared, revealing some rather peculiar information to the boy. Without further notice, Ita raised his hand and motioned his team to halt their progress because Ita felt something was wrong. Their enemy was clever, but Ita had done enough learning at this point to notice it. Once the clone disappeared, the information that it had received had returned to his user. Something had caused the clone to act not of his own will. Although this was the case, Ita wasn’t too sure what type of technique could cause it to do so. Ita thought to himself, ‘Why would the enemy do that and how?’. Ita decided to speak to his team as team work and communication was key to any successful mission. Ita spoke, “Something caused my clone to lose control of his actions. I learned this by releasing my jutsu, although I’m not sure why someone would do that..” Ita decided to do some conductive thinking and came up with an idea. Was someone trying to trick them into proceeding down the path? Ita wouldn’t be surprised after the ambush and the fact that there was most likely another enemy hiding in the shadows. Ita now produced a kunai from his ninja pouch positioned behind him under his shirt. Ita fashioned a exploding tag to it and simply chucked it to the area where the clone had been returned from. The explosion caused the line to trip and trigger the traps along with reveal the hole which was covered by foliage.
