Once Bitten, Twice Shy

A bit of shock came to Supreme as he had heard the things Kyson was saying about the Village Hidden in the Clouds. He could not believe he just heard him say that it was corrupted. That did not seem right with him. With all of his studies, he knew that Kumogakure was one of the Five Major Villages that had been originated. Kumo was always apart of the Great Ninja Wars that had taken place many generations ago. He was astounded to think it was now corrupted. But then again, when some places receive too much power, they do indeed result in corruption. Not knowing much about other village affairs, it was only right that he ask. Supreme loved to learn about things he had not been too familiar with. Knowledge certainly grasped his attention. Any chance he could get, he would seize the opportunity to retrieve it. 

Supreme's facial expression turned into quite a bit of a frown after what Kyson was saying about his former home. This is when he had said that he had liked the climate there. He oddly wondered why. His best guess would be maybe because of the hot sun shining down upon the village all year long. It could surely irritate someone whom was not necessarily used to it. Kumogakure was most likely a fair climate. Supreme knew that it had been around a mountain range. Maybe it was just a bit chilly. He had never been there so he was entirely unsure. There were plenty of days that Supreme wanted to get up and leave the Sand as well. But Suna was his home. He could not simply just leave. He probably would not be able to find it in him. Supreme swallowed his grief from hearing such bad things and found it in himself to actually reply.

"You probably do not want to get too much into it...But please do tell me more about Kumo. As bad as it sounds, I just would like to know more."

Supreme certainly possessed a lot of curiosity. His love for information caused him to pester Kyson with all of these questions. He had hoped that Kyson would feel content asking them. There would be nothing worse than asking someone a question on a touchy subject. That would just make all matters worse. If for some reason he did not feel like talking about it, that would make Supreme feel a little responsible for however it would make him feel. If he could avoid that, it would be great. He stood there with his clone, facing Kyson awaiting more information about the Village Hidden in the Clouds.

Kyson had explained to Supreme what the current state of Kumo was. Even though he hates that village with all his guts. He had learned to suppress his anger towards it and can speak a little more freely about it. Its not like he can change it now, especially in his current state. Kyson knows one day that he and Royalty will one day go back to Kumo and try to save it. But the two of them still have a long way to go before then. Besides, Royalty's parents are still living there and not to mention his father was Kyson's teacher. If it wasn't for his teacher, Kyson probably wouldn't be as strong as he is right now. His teacher always pushed him to his limits. Who knows, Kyson probably surpassed his teacher by now. Kyson was able to do techniques that his teacher had trouble with. He knew Kyson had a gift the first time he trained him, that's why he always stood by his side and forced him to get stronger. Also, he wanted the two of them to get stronger so they can protect each other. Soon in the mere future, there will be almost nobody that will be able to stop the two of them.

After Kyson had finished replying to Supreme. Supreme seemed to want to know a lot about Kumo and its current state. Kyson was unsure as to why he wanted to know so much about it. But since he was a Jounin, he might have a mission to go there in the mere future. So Kyson didn't think it will do any harm to tell him what was going on in the outside world. This information is kind of important since a village that corrupted might declare war on Suna or any other village. So Kyson decided to tell him.

"Well I guess it wouldn't hurt since your a jounin. Who know, you might have to go there for a mission one day. Just in case if that ever happens, I should probably let you know what to expect. First of all, Kumo is ran by a missing ninja named Youka Tau. He took over Kumo with force and punished anyone who didn't agree with his laws. There was a place where villagers were stuck on sticks and they were screaming as they were in pain. I was lucky to get out when I could, since I could have been a corrupted ninja as well. But Kumo wasn't always like this, It used to be a peaceful place before Youka took over. But frankly, that's all I really know about Kumo for the moment. Who knows what Youka could be plotting next. That's why ninja like us have to get strong and prepare for anything." Kyson said to Supreme. It was kind of important to tell Supreme this information. Telling him this and saying there might be problems in the mere future might make him want to get even more stronger. As a Senju like him, him getting stronger can do us great value when he unlocks his full potential.

Supreme's eyes would grow wider with each and every word coming from the mouth of Kyson. Just the things he said one after another increasingly shocked him. How could one of the most prosperous villages from the beginning of time be reduced to such scum? Supreme had thought to himself. Being such a selfless person at heart, it kind of infuriated him to hear that people were suffering on sticks as Kyson had said. He wondered how someone could ever stoop so low when it comes to the lives of other human beings. You have to be truly demented to do half of the things Kyson had said that man Youka had done. 

He cleared his throat as the information he had been receiving had made him slightly uncomfortable. He chose to bear the thoughts that were incoming through his mental. Visually, he could just imagine the horror that had overtook the Village Hidden in the Clouds. It was truly sad that something of that caliber could actually be going on somewhere in the world. Being in such a friendly and safe environment could make someone totally gullible and oblivious to the rest of the cruel world. It was now that he understood why his parents had caged him for all of these years. It was in fact to look after him. Things such as this should never affect your child. Supreme at that moment became even more grateful for how he was raised by his parents. He looked down and smirked slightly after Kyson was finished speaking. After letting it sink in, he replied with his head still down.

"Well..... I appreciate you sharing these things with me... It is oddly satisfying to know that we are very fortunate to be over here on this part of the world. I am truly sorry for anything you had to endure while you were apart of that vil.....place... Many people would be broken, but you seem to be sane and possess a good heart. That is rare. Even for people who are born in a great environment."

Supreme clenched his right fist after pausing briefly to speak. He figured it would be best to stir away from the subject. He tried to remember the technique that Kyson last said before Supreme had brought up some things about his past. He could not put his finger on it. After he looked up at Kyson, he spoke again.

"Now what was that technique you had said before? I believe it was an A Rank?"

Supreme was indeed ready for more training. He wanted to increase his versatility. All he knew was Ninjutsu at the moment. His clone poked out his left elbow to nudge him. He looked to the right as his clone to see him smiling. Apparently, he was ready as well. Things had to be done.

After Kyson had finished speaking to Supreme about how Kumo's current condition is. He knew telling him this information would be somewhat surprising to him since he was so eager to know about the outside world. Kyson did not want to put any fear into him, but he thought telling him this will make him stronger and more aware. Besides, this is the ninja world after all. There is the good and there is also the bad. Everyone will see joy in their lives and some will see pain and sorrow. That is just how life works. Sometime you'll see more pain and sometimes you'll see more joy. But Kyson doesn't know for sure yet if his life is going to be balanced or one sided. After Kyson had finished speaking to Supreme, he noticed he looked a but uneasy. Especially when he was explaining what Youka did to anyone who defied his laws and put them on sticks. Hearing about it already bad. But to actually witness it, is a whole different story. Supreme began to reply to Kyson's story about Kumo. He was very grateful to Kyson for telling him the information. He's right, it was fortunate for us to be living here in Suna. There are probably places out there worse than Kumo. Supreme was also sorry for Kyson to have lived in a place like Kumo for most of his life. Kyson doesn't regret leaving nor does he regret being born there. He's sure that's what his parent would have wanted. They most likely would have wanted him to leave and get stronger. Then come back when he was ready. If it wasn't for Royalty, Kyson probably would be just as corrupted as Youka. Kyson grateful for meeting him, he probably would've left the village if it wasn't for him. After Supreme finished speaking, Kyson replied.

"No problem, I feel like it was something a lot of people who haven't been to Kumo should know. And your right, it is a good thing I was still able to keep a good heart after witnessing a place like that. Sometimes I think about what Kind of person I should be if I never left. But I try not to think about it too much." Kyson said in response to Supreme. He was saying some pretty good things to Kyson. Kyson could tell Supreme has a strong heart and he cares for this village. That's one thing he noticed in a lot of shinobi in Suna. Supreme then brought up the A rank jutsu that Kyson was supposed to be teaching him. Kyson had almost forgot. After being sidetracked by his questions and telling Supreme about himself.

"Oh yeah, this jutsu is called the 5 Elements Seal.This jutsu is capable of putting your opponent unconscious and sealing up their chakra. All you have to do is focus your chakra into your fingertips and purple flames should appear. And when your palm touches your opponent. They would either be rendered unconscious and/or have their chakra sealed. This jutsu doesn't require hand seals also." Kyson said as he explains how the technique works to Supreme.

Kyson had been saying that he tried not to think about what his life would be like if he had not left the Village Hidden in the Clouds. Supreme understood his reasoning for not wanting to dwell on that subject. It could be disheartening hearing what his predictions were. It was understandable that as a human being surrounded by nothing but darkness, it was only natural that that human being would become dark as well. It is extremely difficult to spread light when there is no light to begin with. Supreme understood that very well. It was only great logic that allowed him to feel it. He himself has never been in the situation before however but he could only imagine the toll it would take on any human being. He is glad that Kyson had gotten the chance to leave and reinvent his whole life over again. This way, he could live up to his best potential possible. Supreme would rather him use his talents for good and not evil anyway. The more powerful allies he had, the less powerful enemies he would have. This only makes perfect sense.

"Well....I guess I can say I am glad that you have found your way here. I understand it could have been difficult to sway away from what you were accustomed to. But being here, you can definitely reach your max potential."

Supreme was sincere with his words. He wanted Kyson to understand that he had no option. No matter how pure of heart you were, you were going to fall into a pit of despair and darkness being around a place like that. But he was here now, surrounded by positivity. For goodness sake.

As Kyson explained what the jutsu did, he found it funny that this jutsu did not need handseals either. Since the techniques were closer to instant, you could argue that their viability was slightly higher than other techniques. This one seemed exceptionally well however. Sealing up someone's chakra could be extremely useful when facing an opponent that is giving you a hard time. Supreme had liked the idea of using this technique. He was ready for the example.

"Sounds nice. Seems like it can be very helpful. You always seem to show me techniques that do not require hand seals. Some might say you were.... cheating, if I might say so.."

Supreme wanted to let off a little humor to lighten the mood. Although it was not his expertise, he figured he did a decent job. Nevertheless, this was a time for working. So everything was all great with him.

Kyson was glad to hear that Supreme was concerned about Kyson reaching Suna safely and still manage to keep a good heart. He has a little more respect towards the Jounin. He was right, being in Suna helped him become twice as strong. The feel of this village just inspires him to do great and become stronger. Kyson guess he has the Kazekage to thank for that. Its mostly his doing of keeping this village safe and intact. 

"Thanks. And your right about Suna helping me reach my max potential." Kyson said as he agrees with Supreme. After Kyson spoke, he then began to explain what the 5 elements jutsu does and how it can be used.

After Kyson finished explaining the jutsu, Supreme began to speak. He thought this was a pretty helpful jutsu. He mentioned that Kyson has been teaching him hand seals that doesn't require hand seals. It does seem that way. But its only because Kyson just happens to know fuinjutsus that don't need hand seals. Supreme said it could be seen as cheating to some people. Kyson smirked a bit because he didn't care what people thought in the slightest bit. When he's in a life or death situation, he's not worried about trying to not cheat. Its not like these are techniques only Kyson can learn, anyone can  learn them if they put the work in just as Kyson does.

"Well, it just happens that most of my fuinjutsus don't require hand seals. Your right, some could say its cheating. But in a life or death situation. Being fair is the last thing on my mind." Kyson said with a smirk on his face. He wants to master some of his jutsu's so he can use some of them without hand seals. He feels that would be a good way to catch an enemy off guard.

"Now I will demonstrate the jutsu." Kyson said as he put his palm out. He focused his chakra on his fingertips and was able to create purple flames on each of his finger tips. 

"Here it is, the 5 element seal. If I touch you with this, you would most likely pass out and/or get your chakra sealed up. All you have to do is touch someone with it. Now you try." Kyson said to Supreme. He knows Supreme will probably finish this technique in short period of time just like the last jutsu. But this one might take just a little bit longer since its a bit more difficult.

When Kyson had said Supreme was right, he and his clone smirked simultaneously but it was very slight. It was great to know that what he was saying was indeed getting through to him. This most likely would make him feel way better about speaking about it. Realizing how much better his life was now than it would have been in the Cloud Village surely lightened the mood.

After Supreme's remark about the hand seals and cheating, Kyson smirked a bit. This made Supreme feel like his words had more of an effect on him. This surely made Kyson feel better, Supreme was indeed sure of it. He explained how in a life and death situation, he was not worried about how he did things. Although that was true, Supreme did not figure he would take it so literal. He figured it could not be helped. The best thing to do was move on from it.

"Yeah, I suppose.."

His remark was very short. He did not want to waste time as he had already changed the subject a lot with each of their background stories. They could have gotten a few more jutsu done in the amount of time they have already been getting acquainted with each other. This was not to say that talking about each other was a bad thing, he just did not want to make it even more excessive. That would eventually drag out and they would surely be here than longer than intended to. It had already been about an hour since the two have met. 

Now it was time for Kyson to demonstrate the jutsu for him. Since this one did not require hand seals like most jutsu did, Kyson's demonstration seemed dry at first. He did not due much but put out his hand. After a few seconds, Supreme could see purple flames igniting on Kyson's finger tips. Supreme was a little confused as to why he had seen the fire. As far as he could remember, Kyson did not say anything about this being a fire technique. Purple flames at that. He had never seen a Katon technique utilizing purple flames. Although it was neat, it still caught him off guard to actually see the flames. Kyson then told about the jutsu. Apparently, if you touched someone with those flames, they would become unconscious. That is a neat move. Supreme began to speak to Kyson before he would initially try it out.

"Hm, I have to say, I am a bit confused. You did not tell me that this was a Fire Style jutsu. I did not even know that Fuinjutsu had a specific element. Maybe that is why this one is so unique. Anyway, I will try this out. Just focus my chakra into my fingertips? That is doable."

Supreme stuck his right hand out at around his stomach level. His palm was facing upwards. He then made sure that his body was relaxed and calm so that he may actually get to focus on his chakra. He redirected the flow of his chakra towards his hands. The chakra could be felt flowing as it coursed directly from his chest to his shoulders, to his biceps, to his elbow to his forearm to his wrist then finally to his hands. After the chakra reached around his palm, it seemed to spread out evenly to each finger until reaching the end of his finger tips. Now that his chakra was where it needed to be, he stared intently at his hand trying to spot any sign of the purple flame. A whole minute went by but he could not see anything. 

Apparently failing at the Five Elements Seal at first, Supreme then turned to the right to face his Clone. The Clone was also looking toward his hand to see if he would succeed on the first try. Unfortunately, he could not see any success from Supreme either. When he had seen Supreme looking towards him through his peripheral vision, he looked up until they were both looking at each other's face. The Clone was obviously confused so it decided to speak to him.

"Do you need me for something?" Said the Clone.

"Yes....See if you are able to complete the jutsu. We can increase our success rate if we both try at the same time. Go for it," said Supreme.

"As you wish," said the Clone. 

With that, the clone put out its left hand at around the same level that Supreme had his out at. Again, his palm was facing the air but this time, the clone had curled its finger tips. The Clone then concentrated. It would then clear its mind until it was able to really focus on controlling the chakra that it had. Now the chakra was coursing through its body but was mainly being directed to its finger tips. Again, it coursed directly from his chest to his shoulders, to his biceps, to his elbow to his forearm to his wrist then finally to his hands. After the chakra reached around his palm, it seemed to spread out evenly to each finger until reaching the end of his finger tips. When that was finished, the Clone was curl its fingers until it looked as if it were trying to grab on to something. Looking at its hand, it could not come to bring up any results either. The clone had failed as well. Supreme put his hand down and looked up towards Kyson.

"I might be going about this wrong. Both the clone and I had tried this. Is their something I am missing?"

Supreme cleared his throat and wanted to clarify everything before he would attempt the jutsu once more. He figured he would get another demonstration or something to refresh his memory. Even if he was a seasoned jounin, that still did not mean that he could get every jutsu down pact on the first try. His Fuinjutsu talent still needed some fine tuning.

After Kyson had demonstrated the jutsu to Supreme, it was now time for him to attempt it. Kyson is confident he will get it soon enough. He is a Jounin for a reason. So Kyson expects him to learn the jutsu he throws at him not matter the difficulty. If Kyson as a Chunin can learn it and the Genin of the village can learn it as well. Then he expects every Jounin in the village to know how to do the techniques Kyson knows as well. If they can't that only proves that the Jounin in this village can't keep up with the lower rank and they will be surpassed by them very soon. After Kyson demonstrated the jutsu, Supreme began to speak. He was confused by the way he looked at Kyson's hand. Kyson wondered what he was confused about. Supreme said he did not know this technique was a fire jutsu. But this wasn't a fire style jutsu. Although someone would think that since he has purple flames coming out of his hands. Kyson could see why someone would mistaken this jutsu for a fire style jutsu. Kyson did not have an answer as to why the flames were purple. Or as to why there was flames in the jutsu period. Kyson just learned the jutsu without asking a lot of questions as to why. he just knows from experience, this jutsu can make someone unconscious and/or seal up their chakra. Kyson wasn't too sure on the jutsu's history or as to why it looks the way it looks. Maybe a fire user did create the technique, Kyson doesn't know. He is just making assumptions. So Kyson responded.

"Well I don't know. I'm not a fire style user so i'm not really sure. I'm not really sure what the history of this jutsu is. All I know is that it can put a man to sleep and seal up their chakra. That's all I know and that's all I need to know at this point. And yeah, just focus your chakra to your fingertips." Kyson said as he explained to Supreme that he doesn't know why the jutsu looks the way it does. Kyson watched carefully as Supreme performed the jutsu. He put his palm out in front of him facing it upwards. Kyson saw how he was getting relax and not being so tense. That is a mistake that a lot of people make when they are trying to learn jutsus. After a minute was passed. It seem, he did not get it right on his first attempt. Kyson doesn't know what he did wrong since he really can't see. But he's a jounin, so he will let him figure it out on his own. Maybe he was a bit too relaxed and that's why it didn't work. Kyson wondered, but he really wasn't sure.

After failing on his first attempt, Kyson noticed he looked at his clone and wanted him to do the technique as well. Seeing this still makes Kyson smirk because he still asks his clones for help till this day. Most people probably don't use clones this way but who cares. Anything to get the job done. After Supreme had finished speaking to his clone, they both began to attempt the jutsu together. They both had their left hand out as they were trying to perform the jutsu. As Kyson looked at them as they were performing their techniques. Kyson noticed that they were trying really hard to focus their chakra to their fingertips. Kyson was waiting for the flames to approach their fingertips. As Kyson waited, he noticed the flames never came. Both the clone and Supreme looked a bit disappointed as to why they never saw the purple flames come out. Maybe they didn't add enough chakra or something else was wrong? Kyson was not sure what went wrong with what they did. He can't really tell what they are doing since he can't see their chakra. He can only sense it. Supreme asked why the jutsu didn't work for him and his clone. Kyson did not really know what to tell him. Since he got the jutsu on the first try. Its not like Kyson is a master a Fuinjutsu, so he doesn't really know what to say himself. Kyson responded.

"I'm not really sure. I got the jutsu on the first try. I only know four fuinjutsu techniques. So its not like I am a master at it, I am still learning the specialty myself. All I can say is, you have to figure what you did wrong on your own. Your a jounin, I can't always walk you through everything." Kyson said to Supreme. He didn't want to sound harsh, but with a clan like his and a jounin rank. He is going to have to figure this one out on his own.

Hearing what Kyson had to say about it, Supreme felt as if he was not trying the jutsu as hard. He thought it could probably be something that was on his mind. As far as he knew, his mind had been cleared however. The Senju had not been thinking of anything at the moment. The thought that maybe his clone had been another distraction. It was probably time that he had done it on his own other than having two people try the jutsu. There were benefits from doing this however. Instead of just trying out a jutsu and failing and then trying it out once more, he could be more efficient. If his clone could get it when he could not then he would not have to keep wasting his time trying by himself. Ultimately, Supreme figured he would just leave his clone here for future purposes. He then turned his head to the right and looked at his clone. The Clone looked towards him as well. Supreme spoke to him.

"How about you just sit back. I am going to just finish this jutsu. It is not hard, I just feel like I am distracted," Supreme said to his clone.

"Very well then..." said the clone.

Supreme then stood up straight and retracted his arm. He then took a deep breath and put his hand back outwards in the same fashion he had it out in the first place. He had been sticking his right hand out at around his stomach level. His palm was facing upwards. He then made sure that his body was relaxed and calm so that he may actually get to focus on his chakra. He redirected the flow of his chakra towards his hands. The chakra could be felt flowing as it coursed directly from his chest to his shoulders, to his biceps, to his elbow to his forearm to his wrist then finally to his hands. After the chakra reached around his palm, it seemed to spread out evenly to each finger until reaching the end of his finger tips.  After a few seconds, a sight of purple fire erupted on his index finger. It then spread to his other fingers. All of his fingertips were now ignited. He had finally did it on his second try. His Clone had looked at him and then to Kyson. Supreme had looked up towards Kyson as well. He then spoke.


"Hm... I figured this would have a burning feel.. Guess not.. Anywho, how should I test this out? I surely can not do it on my clone as we are identical. Care to make one?"

Supreme had made the suggestion so that he could further his experience with the jutsu. He knew that he had gotten it to work so all he needed was to test it out. He then waited for Kyson to answer him and possibly make a clone for the full experience.

Kyson had told Supreme that he would have to figure out what he did wrong on his own. He wasn't trying to be harsh, he just wanted him to learn how to use fix it himself. If he learns why the jutsu didn't work, it will make him understand it more. Ever since Kyson came to Suna, no one has ever taught him any jutsu's or technique. he had to teach himself everything. Just like his teacher back in Kumo said he will have to do eventually when he got older. And its was kind of Ironic. His teacher told him he will have to train on his own when he reached chunin. And when Kyson came to Suna, he became Chunin in a week. It was like he knew he was going to rank up when me and Roy left the village. Even though he  probably didn't plan it that way. Kyson watched as Supreme told his clone to sit back. It seemed he did not want help from his clone anymore. Kyson watched as Supreme attempted to perform the jutsu again. He put his right hand out as he was preparing to do the jutsu. Kyson could sense the chakra flowing through him as he was trying to complete the jutsu. Kyson believes he might actually pull it off.

After a few moments, Kyson look at his hands as purple flames began to form on his fingertips. He finally did it. Kyson is not really sure how he would be able to test it on someone because Kyson doesn't really trust him enough to fall unconscious in front of him. Kyson saw as Supreme looked up at him to see what the next step was after completing it. He thought it would have a burning feel to it since it was purple flames on his fingertips. Kyson wasn't sure who he will test his jutsu on because he doesn't think it will work correctly with a clone. He asked Kyson if he can make a clone so he could test it out. Kyson thought that was a good idea. 

"Alright, give me a sec." Kyson said as he made the clone hand seal and summon one shadow clone. Kyson had summoned a shadow clone 1 meter to the left of him.

"What's up Ky?" The shadow clone said.

"Supreme is going to test out a jutsu on you. Alright Supreme, whenever your ready." Kyson said as he was giving Supreme the green light to perform the jutsu on the shadow clone.

"Wait.. huh?!" The shadow clone said as he looked back at Kyson with a shocked face. He hardly knew what was going on since he just got summoned.
