Once Bitten, Twice Shy

Pleased to know Kyson was satisfied, Supreme felt as if he was a little relieved to actually hear it from the boy. The trick had gotten so old to him that it wouldn't be much of a surprise if he wasn't satisfied. Most people usually wanted you to do extravagant things like creating and island of trees from scratch. People think you can just do it effortlessly since it's in your blood but it takes a lot of effort and energy to do something that monumental. It was nice to know that a small demonstration could mean something to Kyson.

As Kyson asked his question, Supreme kind of froze up. He had not thought this far into the matter. As a result, he kind of looked dumb. At least, that is how he thought he looked. He was not in Kyson's shoes but the more he thought about it, he doubt Kyson cared. The boy seemed nonchalant but he could be irritable. Who cares if Supreme did not have an answer. It's not like he was going to get one beaten out of him. Hmph, wouldn't that be something?

"My dad usually guided me through most of my shinobi life. I grew up however, and he is near the borders. I have a gift for Fuin but haven't necessarily started to learn anything. Just suggest something for me to start off with."

It felt weird to Supreme to be asking a lower ranking ninja for assistance. Although, Supreme was just assuming. For all he knew, Kyson could be a jounin. It did not matter though. The whole point of a village was to be stable as one. Supreme waited to hear what Kyson had had for him now.

After Kyson saw him do that wood jutsu. It was time for him to find something for him to learn. Kyson asked what fuinjutsus did he want to learn because he assumed since he is a Jounin, he would have something in mind that he wanted to learn. Kyson assumed Supreme would know a little more than him, since he is a Jounin senju. But maybe he wasn't here his entire life? Kyson didn't know and didn't really want to ask. He felt it wasn't any of his business to know how he came to this village. Or if he was already born in this village. This will be the first person that Kyson has taught fuinjutsu to. It might be a little difficult to teach him this specialty since he knows fewer fuinjutsu than ninjutsu. It shouldn't be hard, but it will be a little tougher explaining it since Kyson is still getting the hang of it as well. After Kyson had asked the question, Supreme replied.

He mention that his dad is still alive and he lives in this village. So Kyson assumed that he was not the only senju in the village. He would have never thought there could be more than one senju in the village. Maybe there are a lot of senju's in this village that Kyson has not met yet. Even though he has walked around the village plenty of times. Its almost impossible for Kyson to know every single person in the village. Especially for a village as big as Suna. Kyson doesn't even know how Suna compares to all the other villages in the world. Maybe there are villages twice as big as Suna, who knows. 

Supreme mentioned that he knows how to do fuinjutsu but he just never really took the time to actually learn the jutsu. Supreme wanted Kyson to start him with something he could learn for his first fuinjutsu. Kyson's lowest rank fuinjutsu is a B rank. He started doing higher ranking fuinjutsus when he first learned the specialty. So Kyson was going to start him off with the B rank fuinjutsu. 

"Alright... I guess I'll start you off with a fuinjutsu called Barrier Canopy Method Formation. Its a B rank jutsu, I don't really know anything lower than that. This technique allows you to create an invisible barrier around you that allows you to detect any movement instantly when it enters the barrier. It has a 20 meter radius and of course a 40 meter diameter. So it can cover a lot of ground." Kyson said as he explained to Supreme what he would be teaching him.

Supreme listened in as Kyson was explaining which jutsu he would teach him. He did not mind starting off small since that seemed like the most practical thing to do. Even though he had developed the skill for Fuinjutsu at the ranking of Chuunin, he never really centered his training around it. His father mainly wanted him to be a seasoned Mokuton user. This was understandable seeing as there were not a lot of Senju in the area. It was only right to flaunt the bloodline and show why people hold it to high esteem ever since Hashirama.

After Kyson was finished explaining what kind of jutsu it was, Supreme naturally thought of different ways he could use this jutsu. This could be like an extension of his reaction time. It sounded as if it was similar to Byakugan in a sense. If someone was inside of this barrier, then he would not have any blind spots. The Jounin Senju figured this was a great start. He replied to Kyson in a low tone. He was loud enough so that Kyson could hear him though.

"Very well then..This sounds very useful. I am now ready for a demonstration."

After Kyson had finished explaining the jutsu he was going to teach to supreme how to do it. It was now time to demonstrate the technique to him. After Kyson spoke and Supreme replied, Kyson began to speak again.

"Alright now I will demonstrate this technique. But first let me explain how to do it. Like I said before, you create a barrier around you that can go up to a 20 meter radius. And everything that enters the barrier, you can detect instantly. Luckily, there are no hand seals for this technique. The barrier is invisible but it can still be visible with a ninja who posses sharingan, byakugan, and rinnegan. But for the most part, its not visible to the naked eye. But one drawback to this technique, is you must stand still for a while and concentrate your chakra to perform the jutsu. You might need a comrade or clones to guard you while you concentrate to use this jutsu. Or unless you face someone dumb enough to sit and watch you perform it. To form the barrier, you must try expanding your chakra and your senses. That way it will allow you to detect your opponent. But I'll perform the jutsu and show you how its done." Kyson said as he gave a long explanation on how to perform the jutsu. 

Kyson stands still for a moment as he concentrates his chakra on forming the barrier. It will take a few minutes as he forms the barrier. After a few moments, Kyson finally formed the barrier and was able to sense any movement inside the barrier. Supreme most likely wouldn't know Kyson performed the jutsu since the barrier is invisible. But Kyson will do a little test to prove how well this jutsu is. The invisible barrier expanded out 20 meters. Four kids began to walk past The two shinobi. The kids would be behind Kyson and they were walking from Kyson's left to the right. Supreme would be able to see the kids walking past them, but not Kyson since his back his turned. They were about 18 meters behind Kyson.

"I know you can't really see the barrier because its invisible but that's basically how you do it. There's three kids behind me right? Nope never mind, the fourth one just entered the barrier. They are about 18 meters behind me and they are walking from my left side to the right side. I don't know how they look since the barrier doesn't detect that. But I can pinpoint their numbers and location." Kyson said as he demonstrated the jutsu to Supreme and proved that the jutsu was successful even though he couldn't see it. This is the second time Kyson used this jutsu. He hasn't really been on any missions lately where he needed to use any deadly or really high level techniques. He's been getting normal D rank missions around the village to help out the civilians and their daily problems.

"Well, now you try." Kyson said to Supreme as it was now his turn to perform the jutsu. It was kind of hard for Kyson to explain this jutsu perfectly since he is still trying to master fuinjutsu himself.

Sitting back and listening closely to everything Kyson was saying, Supreme got a good grasp on how the technique would go about working. As Kyson explained that the barrier was in fact invisible to the naked eye, he named various popular dojutsu that have been around for generations. The ones that naturally stood out to his attention was when Kyson had brought up the Sharingan and Rinnegan. Flashbacks started to enter the Senju's mind. Lectures from way back.

He remembered during one training session as a genin, his father wasted no time trying to teach him how the harness the Doton and Suiton elements. Supreme's elemental affinity was lightning which had shocked his father. Nevertheless, they worked around it. After they had initially started his Mokuton training, he had given Supreme a warning. 

He told his son about the story of the Sage of Six Paths and the power he had possessed. The power he was referring too was in fact the Rinnegan. The Senju and Uchiha both were descendants of the Sage. To possess the power of the Rinnegan, one must combine the DNA of both a Senju and an Uchiha in the same being. As a result, he told Supreme to be wary around other Uchiha. This is because of the increasing situations in which Senju have been attacked for their body parts. Supreme doesn't necessarily hate all Uchiha but it would be best to heed his father's warning. He never liked it that he admired Koroshi due to the long rivalry between the two clans.

Now was around the time in which Kyson was performing the technique. Supremes hands had been in his pockets as he was paying attention to him as he focused his chakra. Visually, you could not see anything going on with him. It was indeed true that the barrier was invisible. Of course, the technique was being performed bu it was just a matter of when. Supreme couldn't tell. It was then that Kyson had spoken again. 

Kyson had just told Supreme that he had in fact completed the jutsu. It was neat that Supreme was totally unaware. That is just one of the perks of Fuinjutsu. It was crazy that this technique was only a B Rank. Maybe because it was not nearly as potent as other Fuin techniques that he knew his father possessed. This was probably one of the best advantages the barrier had; being undetectable by the naked eye.

When Kyson had asked told him there were a few children walking behind him. Supreme was not necessarily paying attention to them. He tilted the upper half of his body to the left to be able to look behind Kyson. He was indeed correct. There were 3...no now 4 children walking towards the right behind him. They were pretty far and he was still able to detect them. This jutsu had seemed very effective. Supreme was a bit impressed. Kyson now told him that he should now try it. 

"Well, if you insist. Since I won't need hand seals, this should be quite easy..."

The reason Supreme had said so is because he knew he was very proficient at concentration and precise chakra control. It was one of the reasons he was able to graduate from the Academy and control his Mokuton techniques at just the rank of genin. Supreme inhaled and exhaled as this would be the first Fuinjutsu he was getting a hands on experience with. He looked straight ahead towards Kyson's direction. You could argue that he was looking at Kyson but this was not the case. It was as if he were staring through Kyson. 

Supreme was in some sort of trance. If Kyson were to say anything to him then it would be highly unlikely that he would even respond to him. A lot of concentration had been coursing from the Senju's brain to various body parts. His goal was to push concentrated chakra through his tenkatsu points to allow the barrier to form outwards at the desired 20 meter radius. Shortly following his concentration, his chakra expelled outwards in a dome like shape. Supreme was unsure if he had actually completed the jutsu successfully. Kyson was the only one in his immediate vicinity and he was looking in his direction so it would be hard to say he could "sense" his movements. He just wanted to make sure.

"I am not sure if I was successful. I am going to try something"

With those words being said, Supreme had an idea spring in his head. He then performed the hand seals of Tiger to Dog to Snake at a speed of 80. A timber colored substance could be seen forming from the right side of Supreme's face. The substance was forming from his cheek. The substance would fall to the right of his body and keep molding until it made a form completely identical to a silhouette of Supreme. It was then that the substance stopped forming from his face and the form started to look just like Supreme. He had made one Wood Clone. The clone would be standing side by side to Supreme facing Kyson just like he was. 

"Ehh What do you need me to do?" said the Clone. He seemed to be very obedient. 

"Do me a quick favor. I need you to go behind me and perform various movements. I am supposed to try and guess whatever you are doing," said Supreme.

"Sounds easy," said the Clone.

The clone then turned around and walked behind Supreme. Supreme and his clones were about one meter apart and his Clone had been directly behind it. To Kyson, he would probably be unable to see the clone as they both have the same exact physical form. The Clone then lifted up his right leg until his foot was in the air. He then spoke.

"I am ready when you ar..."

"Your right foot is up," said Supreme. He had interrupted the clone from speaking.

The clone then put his foot down and then put his right hand behind his head. Immediately, Supreme had responded to the sudden movement from his counterpart.

"Now your hand is behind your head. I am pretty sure I have gotten the basics of this jutsu down."

The Clone then walked back to his original position directly to the right of Supreme. They were now looking at Kyson with a determined look on their faces. They were indeed ready for more. 

"Now that I finished that one, how about we work on another?" Supreme had suggested to Kyson waiting for him to reply.

After Kyson had finished performing the jutsu, it was now time for Supreme to give it a shot. He said the technique should be quite easy. But Kyson will see if he can live up to what he says. But Kyson knows he will be able to complete the jutsu, he has complete confidence in almost every shinobi in Suna. When Kyson was teaching Etch how to use some water jutsu's. He was able to learn them in less than 30 minutes. He was learning jutsus faster than Kyson when he first learned them. Kyson has seen a lot of potential in this village and the ones he taught were only genin. Kyson also taught Kyofu a couple jutsu's, he was just as quick as Etch when learning them. Kyson taught him a couple A ranks as well and just like Etch he learned them in a really short period of time. But there was always something different about Kyofu that was different from any shinobi that Kyson has met in this village. He just seemed like a mysterious person. Kyson don't know what it was about him, but something just seemed different about him. Also Kira was also a strong shinobi, someone who excelled in fuinjutsu. In the S rank mission with Kira, she showed a lot of potential and it was enough to join the team.

As Supreme was ready to attempt the jutsu. Kyson slowly observed him as he was attempting the jutsu. Kyson watched as Supreme inhaled and he was getting ready to concentrate his chakra for the jutsu. Kyson could sense his chakra being concentrated, but Kyson won't know for sure when he actually completes the jutsu since the barrier is invisible. 

"I'm not sure either to be honest. But go ahead and do what you need to do." Kyson said as he responded to Supreme. Kyson wasn't sure how he got far on the jutsu either. But when he really completes it, he will know. After Kyson responded, he noticed Supreme did three hand seals that went from tiger to dog to snake. Kyson was wondering what jutsu he would be doing. Kyson assumed it was a wood jutsu, but he was unaware of what it could be. Then suddenly, a wood clone began to form as it was facing Kyson. Kyson thought that was a little ironic because he did the same thing in his training. He thought he was the only one who did that. Kyson used it because he could have thought he could gather information on how to learn a technique. They could both use their experiences and bring all the info back to the original user. It seems Supreme was going to do the same thing, Kyson said to himself.

"A clone huh? I thought I was the only person who used a clone to help my training." Kyson said as he saw two identical Supremes stand next to each other. Kyson watched as Supreme and the clone were talking to each other. It seemed Supreme was going to use the clone to aid in the fuinjutsu by using him to do a stance. Kyson saw as the clone went behind Supreme. As the clone and Supreme were ready to try out their test. As the clone was about to foot his right foot up. Supreme sensed his right foot going up immediately. He didn't even let the clone finish speaking. That's how fast he reacted to the clones movements. He then knew the clone put his hand behind his head, it was clear he got the hang of this jutsu already. Not surprising since he is a Jounin. As the clone walked towards Supreme until he was standing next to him. Supreme and the clone were now facing Kyson. Supreme had knocked out the first jutsu and he was now ready for a second one. Kyson then began to speak.

"Alright, you knocked that one out fairly quick. But that's of no surprised considering your a jounin. This next one is called the five elemental seal. Its a A rank jutsu, so it will be a bit more difficult. This jutsu is capable of putting someone unconscious and sealing their chakra." Kyson said to the clone a and Supreme.

As Kyson had said what he said about not being the only one that used a clone to aid in training, it kind of humored Supreme. He let out a quick little sound that insinuated that he was in fact humored by what Kyson had said to him. Supreme had been doing this for as long as he could remember. The times when his father was gone, he had nobody to assist him. Luckily, Wood Clone was one of the first Wood Release techniques that he had been taught by his father. With this technique, he actually had someone there to go through the training process with him, even if it was still himself. It still sufficed however. Due to the fact that Wood Clones could take quite a beating before dispersing, he often sparred with them to hone his own skills as a ninja. They were indeed ideal for punching bags even though they resented being used for that fact. Most of the time, his clones fought back rather than just sitting there being useless.

Supreme and his Clone had been standing side by side facing Kyson. The Clone was to the right of Supreme and they were standing about 2 feet away from each other now. Kyson had started to speak. It seemed as if they were immediately going on to the next technique. It seemed that Kyson had no worry about Supreme being able to complete the technique. Seeing as he was a Jounin and all. But what Kyson did not know is that he did not spend most of his time training when he was younger. His father and him only really focused on perfecting his Wood Release. Of course he learned many Ninjutsu but those were just petty elemental techniques. Supreme felt he was hindered by his lack of diversity. If he could change up his style and become more versatile then he would prove to be a formidable ninja to anyone that had crossed his path in the future. After Kyson brought up a technique called the Five Element Seal, Supreme spoke to him to ask a question. 

"Quick question before we start? You are well aware that I am a Jounin. You are a Chuunin, maybe even a Jounin perhaps. I have not seen you much around here as I am sure you haven't seen much of me. I felt like asking because assuming did not seem like the most practical thing to be doing."

Supreme's curiosity brought him to asking the question. He had not want to keep assuming Kyson's rank. Also, it would be a great idea to getting to know a fellow Suna ninja. Especially one whom would be showing him a few things. Kyson seemed ominous but that maybe just because he has a strong outer shell. He was sure he had someone he was dear and close to. Maybe someone that treated their friendship like......royalty? Both Supreme and his clone stood there in their exact spots waiting for Kyson to reply to them.

After Kyson spoke to supreme and told him what the next training was going to be. Supreme began to ask a question before they started their next training. He started asking Kyson questions about his rank and why he has never seen him around the village. Kyson thought that was a good question. It was kind of weird that Kyson has never seen him around this village at all. Especially after all the the time Kyson took a walk around the village. But then again, Suna is a pretty big village with a lot of ninja. But after going on through all those missions, he never not once saw the jounin at HQ where Kyson would have to deliver someone or have to report to them. Kyson would've thought that he would at least see him once. Probably not get to know him but maybe see him. Especially if he was a Senju. The shop owner seemed to acknowledge the man pretty well and he also seemed to be known around the village as well. Kyson wondered why he never heard anything about Supreme. Someone with a famous clan like his, you would think everyone would be talking about him. But that wasn't the case with Kyson. But then again, Kyson has only been in Suna for about a month now, he hasn't been here for that long. Maybe Kyson would start noticing him a little more now since he actually met Supreme. So he might notice him a little more.

"I'm a Chunin and yeah its a bit weird that I haven't seen you either. The way the shop owner guy reacted to us. You would've thought that we would have seen or at least heard about each other by now. But I'm not really from this village, I've only been here for about a month now. I'm originally from Kumo. So that could be a reason why we had never met." Kyson said as he replies to Supreme's question. He had asked a good question. Since the two of them were training, Kyson might as well get to know the guy a little. It would be awkawrd to just train him and not know anything about him. So Kyson decided to ask a question, but nothing to personal. But Kyson wanted to ask if he was originally from Suna because Kyson learned that Senjus were mainly from Konoha. 

"So were you born and raised in Suna or did you move here recently. I was asking because your clan created Konoha. So I was just a bit curious." Kyson said as he asked the question to Supreme. Kyson hoped he did not have a dark past if he was from another village. Same way Kyson did when he was in Kumo. There was a lot of things going on behind his back that he did not know about. Kyson didn't want this training session to get too emotional, so he didn't want to ask a lot about his clan.

There was a bit of a pause before Kyson would answer Supreme's question. This caused him to think that maybe he asked something wrong. It could not have been though. All he asked what rank the boy had been. If that was too personal then he mine as well not have even asked for his name. These thoughts were short lived as Kyson then told Supreme that he was a Chuunin. After saying so, Supreme nodded very slightly. He was right on his assumption of the boy's rank. It was still better to ask to receive better clarification about him. He is glad he got the chance to know the true answer. 

After finally getting a correct answer and closing out that oblivious chapter, Kyson started to speak about how he was not from this village but in fact he was from the Village Hidden in the Clouds. Supreme had not been too familiar with Kumogakure. He had not been farther than where the Village Hidden in the Leaf had been. That is where he had taken his Chuunin Exams. Kumogakure was literally on the other side of the continent. It was certainly too far for him to randomly explore. But it was neat getting to know someone that had come from so far. It seemed that he was doing a great job having to adjust to the climate. For most people, that aspect would have been bothersome to deal with. Nonetheless, Kyson seemed content with where he had been now.

While a few more questions ravaged the Senju's brain, Kyson flipped the script and began to ask questions of his own. Supreme was indeed a little thrown off but he was always doing interviews for people. It was expected that Kyson would return the same amount of curiosity back towards him. He wanted to know if he had been native to Sunagakure. As it is true that a Senju had founded the Hidden Leaf, that did not necessarily mean that they all had to stay there. Some clans eventually branch out to spread their heritage to other parts of the world. This would cause a bunch of different morals to befall upon the Senju that did not choose to stay in Konohagakure. Supreme spoke to answer his question.

"Well, I was indeed born in Suna. My parents however were born in Konoha. They moved here shortly before I was born to give me a different life. My father had taken a job being sort of a protector for the people in the Wind Country Borders. There were reports of bandits and such. The details I have obtained about that matter were not too extensive. People always tell me it is odd seeing a Senju here. I don't know anything but Suna so I can't really relate to what they are saying. But you, you hail from two different worlds. How was your time in Kumogakure? I am sure that it is extremely different from this place. Please do tell."

Supreme was very curious about the outside world. Whenever he used to ask his parents, they would never give him a clear answer. It is like they tried to build a barrier and keep him inside of it. This seemed like a ploy to protect him. Even if there were foreign dangers, they could not protect him forever. Eventually, he would grow up and go exploring on his own..

After Kyson told Supreme about how they never met but was seen as amazing ninja to the villagers. Kyson also went on about how he was not orignally from Suna, but how he moved here not too long ago. After Kyson responded, he wanted to know little about Supreme himself. He asked if he was originally born in Suna or was he like Kyson and moved here from another village. Kyson was curious since Senju were orginally from Konoha. So it was only right to assume he has had some affiliation with people of Konoha. Kyson awaited an answer from Supreme after he asked his question.

As Supreme began to speak, he said that he was born in Suna. Kyson was not expecting him to say that. Even though its not a big surprise because his family could have always moved from Konoha to Suna well before he was born. But Kyson still expected him to say he moved here where he was younger. He mentioned his parents were Konoha, that was what Kyson assumed from his parents. But Kyson thought that he would have been born in Konoha as well. Kyson began to wonder if he ever visited konoha since he was born here. It would be nice to see the village your clan originated from. This made Kyson think about his clan. He doesn't know where his clan originated from, his only guess could be somewhere in the rain country. Since Hozukis love water and are masters of it. Kyson always said that one day he will travel the world to find some information about his clan. But he has never met another Hozuki in the village. When Supreme mentioned his parents, it made Kyson start thinking about his parents. He didn't get emotional when he started to think about his parents. He believed his parents died and made him into the shinobi he is today. It was like a gift and curse. He mentioned his father being a protector of the country borders. Could Kyson and Royalty have possible saw him when they entered the country border. Kyson doesn't recall  seeing anyone at the country borders when they came to Suna. Maybe it was the route they took, who knows. He also mentioned how people saw that it was weird for a senju to be in Suna. Kyson sort of thought the same thing. The last thing he would have expected was to see a Senju in Suna as well. And it turns out he actually is able to help train one. 

Supreme began to ask Kyson a little about his past. Since Kyson mentioned that he was from Kumo and moved to Suna. Kyson was expecting him to ask him a little about his past since he didn't really get as much detailed as Supreme's. He asked what was it like in Kumo. Kyson has to bring up that corrupted village and how it currently stands. Supreme assumed it was different from Suna and he was defintely right about that. Kyson doesn't think there can be anywhere in the world as bad Kumo. Kyson began to reply.

"Well.. lets just say its really corrupted and me and a close friend escaped. At the time, I didn't really see anything wrong with since I was still young and ignorant about the place. The only thing I like about Kumo versus Suna, was climate and weather. I loved the cool weather versus the hot weather in Suna. But it wasn't really anything nice I can say about Kumo in its current state." Kyson said as he replied to Supreme's question.
