Sand, Sand and more Sand (Supreme and Sal) - Page 3 Empty Re: Sand, Sand and more Sand (Supreme and Sal)

Tue Dec 29, 2015 5:16 pm
(Dang... I'm sorry)

Salzem followed the pretentiously named ninja to the gates, not really concerned about supplies such as water, weapons, food or any of that essential jazz. Salzem loved a challenge and this was one certain to be. When they reached the gates, the two guards standing there seemed reluctant to let anyone pass. However, he noticed Supreme caught the eye of one of the guards and as soon as he did, the guards parted, making way for their journey. When Supreme asked if he was ready, Salzem shrugged his shoulders.

"As ready as I'll ever be." He responded. He figured they'd be gone for a long while. Several days possibly. Possibly... Whatever. All the more challenge. Salzem glanced at Supreme, gesturing for him to lead where he must. Someone had to watch his back, he supposed. The deserts were a dangerous place, even without the monsters and bandits plaguing it's landscape. The more help the senju had the better. Salzem wondered silently about what Supreme was chasing out there. Could it be a person? some armor? a Sword? Perhaps one of those ancient cities or temples mused about in legends? If some of these were to be recovered or found, then they'd be witnesses to history and subjects to glory. A lot of it. All icing on the cake...

Sand, Sand and more Sand (Supreme and Sal) - Page 3 Empty Re: Sand, Sand and more Sand (Supreme and Sal)

Hearing Salzem reply the way that he did, Supreme smirked slightly. It was something about the past few days and him interacting with total strangers that seemed a bit enticing. First it had been the Chuunin that had been a Hozuki. They had spent the full day training up on some Ninjutsu. Their main focus was Fuinjutsu however. Although their personalities clashed somewhat similar to how Sal and his did, they certainly got a lot of things done. The next person he had met was Koga. He had been a Jounin from this village. One that Supreme had not seen before. The man was quite odd seeing as he kept the lower half of his face concealed. He was the one he was referencing when Supreme had brought up the idea of helping out the community in an outfit that would protect his identity. Although their encounter was slightly brief, they had certainly enjoyed their talk together.

Then there was Salzem. Not too much information had been known to Supreme about the young man but he seemed like a good person. Although the two had some rough debates over what being a hero meant for the surrounding people, the two could turn out to be friends in the near future. Maybe this journey would prove to be a joining adventure between the two. Only time could tell from this point forward.

After walking through the gates of Suna, Supreme then felt his urge tell him that he had to walk to the northwestern direction. He proceeded. After about a few minutes of walking at a speed of 15, he would turn to Salzem if he had been following him so far and ask him a question.

"Did you grow up in Suna?"

The small simple question was just something to break the silence during the walk. It would be boring just to be quiet the whole way. Besides, the two could further know of one another. He awaited Sal's reply.

Salzem followed Supreme quietly, not really seeing any reason to discuss anything. They were going out into a hostile environment, hunting down who-knows-what, and had no idea where that was in the Suna Deserts. Pretty straight forward. Not much to discuss. He followed just behind Supreme, and for 15 minutes as they made their way, Salzem was already scanning the desert for any signs of a potential threat. He came up dry. So to speak. That was when Supreme decided to break the silence and ask if he grew up in Suna. Someone would have asked this eventually... Salzem was quiet for an additional minute, trying to word this correctly in his mind.

"No. I grew up in Konoha. I came here." Salzem would say, gesturing to his pale, white skin. "What about you? Did you grow up in Suna?" Salzem asked, turning the question on Supreme with a few simple words. Salzem wasn't really that interested with the discussion of his origins. He'd put that part of his life behind him and was never going back. Supreme's on the other hand, might be a bit of tasty information. Something to chew on while they tread their path. Now that he thought about it, he didn't know much about Supreme other than he was a senju and that he works for Suna. Perhaps this little "adventure" will be an enlightening experience as well

(is just going to exit)

With Royalty's sudden freezing, Salzem decided to just go on. There was no reason to stick around, really. He couldn't help but wonder however, if this was going to be a common thing...

Sand, Sand and more Sand (Supreme and Sal) - Page 3 Empty Re: Sand, Sand and more Sand (Supreme and Sal)

As Sal answered the question so vaguely, it gave Supreme the impression that he wanted to leave some details out for whatever reason. Supreme chose to pay it no mind because the situation would obviously get more complicated than it had to be. Sal then flipped the question onto him but before the Senju could give a response, it seemed that Sal could not continue the journey. He had other responsibilities to tend to. For this, Supreme understood. He continued to walk the path he had been on.

Walking through the hot desert, feet treading on the searing sand, Supreme could not help but be anxious. It was as if something was driving him to walk into the direction he had been walking. Supreme had not known where he was going but he got an odd feeling that he was going the correct way. For this, he felt a little weirded out about.

Supreme had been walking for hours. He was beginning to get a little dehydrated. The unknown force that guided him felt as if the sensation was growing stronger. Through the large heat waves in the distance, Supreme noticed a large brown temple flickering. He used his right forearm to wipe his eyes. It did not seem real at first but he just wanted to make sure that they were not deceiving him.

There it was, a large temple. It was about 40 meters away from him. Supreme used the strength he had left to run towards the temple at a speed of 50. He got to the front of the temple and climbed up to the entrance. It seemed dark. He could not see past the corridor despite it being bright and sunny on the outside. Supreme proceeded to walk to the corrido…

“HOOOOOOOOOOT art thou?!” Said a voice Supreme was unfamiliar with.

He stopped right before reaching the entrance. He heard a flapping noise until a larger than normal owl had flown out towards his face. Supreme jumped back 1 meter to avoid collision. The owl then landed in the spot in which Supreme had originally had been standing. The two stared each other down but Supreme had a guard up. He had not known what this creature was.

“I said who art thou?” Said the owl again.

Supreme’s eyes lit up. He could not believe this was a talking owl. But then again, nothing in this world is normal to begin with. A long pause had occurred before Supreme answered.

“Supreme,” Supreme said in a low tone.

It seemed the owl was not hostile so he chose to reveal his identity. The owl tilted its head once hearing whom he had been. It seemed intrigued.

“Ahh, so you are Supreme…. A few thousand years without chosen ones and we get twoooooooo in one year…. Interesting…”

The words did not seem to register fully to Supreme. He asked himself, What chosen ones were he talking about? Before Supreme could say anything else, a flapping noise could be heard again. Another owl had flown out of the entrance as well. It looked slightly different. It landed next to the first owl.

“Hoooooooot is this, Ovoi..”

“The Senju we have been waiting on,” said the first owl, cutting off the second one.

It seemed the second owl had been a female. At this point, Supreme is completely creeped out. There was no possible way that the bird that stood before him could have known his origin. Supreme, completely confused, spoke abruptly.

“Excuse me, but how did you know what exactly I was? Who are yo….”

“Enough!”

Interrupting Supreme, Ovoilu would extend both of its wings slightly startling Supreme and Ovoila. Supreme at this point chose to just stay back and observe. It obviously wasn’t his place to be asking questions. Ovoilu continued.

“All our chosen ones have a sense of abnegation inside of them. For this, you shall receive great things. All will be revealed Supreme. I will give you further instructions. Ovoila, please escort him.”

Before he knew it, the second bir had extended its wings out as well. A bright light flashed in Supreme’s eyes.

*GASP*

Supreme sat up. He was at home, in the comfort of his own bed. Everything that had happened the previous day was remembered vaguely. He wondered if it were a lucid dream or not. Confusion continued within his mind. He figured if the bird was right, then all will be revealed. Those were in fact the exact words.
