Hmmm...? Kozai noticed that the kid wasn't following him. Oh well, that was fine. If the kid hadn't yet decided that the rest of the population was too weak for him to care about stepping on people's houses, then there was no need for this meeting to continue on any longer. Clearly, the difference in their philosohphies was too great. While Kozai really only cared (for the most part) about himself, and what would benefit his own interests, Lucian seemed to think differently. Once again, that was fine. Kozai didn't bother to force his own point of view on other people.

However, he did have other things to take care of, chief among which was his own emtional well being. If he was to go through with this plan, he would have to steel himself quite a bit to prevent himself from being emotionally swayed. Hmmm.... maybe he shouldn't think about this too much. Dealing with sentimental things like this wasn't in his nature at all.

Lost souls were all too common in this world. Lucian was not even allowed to warn the librarian of his grave misstep in Hoshigakure tradition. The man had simply vanished over the rooftops. It was at times such as these that the Nazar came to question his elders. Certainly it was a righteous deed to help another walk the path of peace. However, why bother with those that seem so dead set on following a darker path.

In the end, Lucian walked out the back gate and away from the amassing crowd. It was a pure stroke of luck that none of the crowd saw the librarian; it probably would have been the straw that broke the camel's back. Lucian had been lucky enough to not witness nor incite any riots in Hoshigakure and it seemed today would not dirty such a record.

People are interesting.

In a matter of moments, Lucian melted back into the crowd. He was just another face. He had completed much of what he wanted to do with his day. Perhaps an early dinner was in order? Yes, early dinner. Then perhaps a visit to the vaunted library of Hoshigakure? Time would tell.
