Sheep Herding? In Suna?

What is a Shepherd? Well a Shepherd is known for herding sheep and keeping them safe. He's like a caretaker but for sheep. A sheep needs a Shepherd as much as a Shepherd needs its sheep so it's a mutual relationship of sorts. A shepherd can come in all shapes and sizes it only depends if they have the will to care for so many which most people neither care or have the patience to do so. A shepherd is strong willed in many aspects and would look for a single stray sheep even though he has hundreds, so what happens when Sheep stray without a Shepherd?
They die. However they always have a Shepherd but the thing is what happens when The Shepherd doesn't know he is a Shepherd until later?
The village, peaceful as it stood strong with not a danger in sight. The calmness of everything was perfect to capture for a photo or even painting nothing could disturb such pea-BOOM! An explosion occurred around the center of the village...someone should really help with stopping explosions it's like the tenth time this week and usually they are all caused by one individual. This explosion was actually a relief to the people of suna as it was the least destructive one out of all this week. The smoke rising from the small fire coming from a small restaurant no less. The flames were immediately put out but they still left much destruction inside of the small kitchen. A blonde stood there with a face mixed with a surprise and an angry fown as he wiped the soot off his face. “So….those two things don't mix together.” The blonde went around and cleaned up the mess that was left behind from the explosion and tried to repair any damages that were done. Since Chi finally opened up his tofu place he has been using the small kitchen to test new recipes which resulted sometimes in explosions, death, and worst off all (because there is something more terrifying than death itself” living monster food. Every hour of everyday of the week was something new to terrify the people of suna. Ichiro was starting of bad so far...it was like he lost his muse for cooking and he NEVER loses his muse for cooking so maybe...today is one of those bad weeks he have every other month but even so by now he should have gotten it quickly like every other time. Groaning as he had to close up shop since the explosion caused enough damage to destroy his stove and fryer , Chi left not feeling very satisfied with what happened. He was bored out of his mind it wasn't that long ago since the whole tomb raiding adventure and the adrenaline junkie seeked much more….way more. More than anything he ever wanted! Except cooking...food i always number one unless….nah that could never happen with him.
Suna was smack dab right in the desert. So there shouldn't be certain things in the village or around it for that matter and certain animals for example, a sheep. It was surprising to him as this was the first time in his life to ever see a sheep up close. Maybe it belonged to a tourist or someone who managed to get a sheep but this was a new experience. That wasn't the odd thing however , the odd thing was how it was staring straight at him and only him which cause Chi to mental freak and feel uncomfortable. Why such an animal be looking at him as it just chills in the center of the village without a single care in the world. Also to note it was strange how people wasn't even caring about it as it was just sitting there. Some people did stop to look but most just avoided going near it. Then for who knows how long that sheep was there finally stood up and made its way towards Chi. “Oh shit it's coming this way...time to leave!” The blonde wasn't even remotely sure how to well...he never dealt with a sheep before! So he did what everyone else was doing and that was avoiding the sheep. After a few minutes of walking around and being followed by the Sheep which was causing him to be paranoid. “Is it something I have on me?” He wondered as he rounded a corner hoping the Sheep would finally stop following him but hope was just only hope in this situation. That's it he was mad. Turning to face the sheep he then had an intense staring contest between himself and the sheep which lasted ten minutes ultimately having Chi blink. “WHAT DO YOU WANT?” the sheep responded with the only thing sheep respond with “Baaah” Now he looked like a crazy idiot in the village right now. “GAAAH JUST LEAVE ME ALONE PLEASE!” The blonde then stormed off with the sheep happily following him, skipping a bit as it enjoyed Chi’s paranoia. He liked animals and would never want to hurt such a cute fluffy adorable sheep as the one following him but he continued to reconsider that. What was he doing that made the sheep follow him for so long hmm? Was it that stupid explosion from earlier that created a sheep scent onto him somehow? (The answer is actually yes….yes indeed. Food experiments can have very crazy side affects too ya know!) The blonde haired boy just tried to continue on with life not wanting to deal with the sheep and planned to ignore it until it left and that is what he did despite receiving weird looks from some of the villagers. He couldn't even go home if this was going to follow him so he decided to find the owner or even the Shepherd but after asking several people no one even knew what it came from as it just showed up one day. Welp be was stuck because sheep just don't appear from nowhere.
Then after roaming the village a bit to well somehow ending up in the desert The sheep stopped in front of him and ran away a few feet before stopping and looking at him. “Eh?” Not sure to leave it there or not but it seemed the sheep was trying to get him to follow. He followed the sheep all the way out to the desert which he was not preppared for at all. As he walked with the sheep in this wasteland of a place Chi slowly moved across the desert for what seemed like hours. “Okay...YOU CAN GO DIE IN THE DESERT I’M HEADING BACK HOME!” Turning around Chi began to head back toward the village only to be stopped by the sheep. “WHAT DO YOU WANT? THERE'S NOTHING OUT HERE!” and like earlier the same response one gets from a Sheep “Baaah!” but this time the sheep pointed towards a direction with its hooves. Looking at the direction Chi then saw Trees..palm trees? And heard splashing of water?! He saw green things growing from the ground?! “It's an OASIS?! HOW….WHEN...WHAT?!” Also first time seeing an oasis in person and a large one at that. He didn't actually know it yet but he was about to walk into one of the most intense battles yet…..
Secret Wars: Sheep vs Wolves.(Arabian Wolves)
He walk into it alright as soon as he made ith there he saw sheep flanking wolves and wolves running in guirella warfare style. “What…..” he couldn't make sense of what was really going on here but they were fighting over the area probably. Yeah he wasn't going to get involved in this at all… “I FOUND HIM! WE CAN WIN WITH HIS HELP!”
“What…did that Sheep just talk…”
“ALRIGHT WE HAVE HIM NOW THE SHEPHERD IS HERE!”
“More talking sheep….maybe I've been in this heat too long…”
Then wolves attacked. Chi this time as he was surrounded by snarling wolves. “Nope all real” ducking left and right avoiding attacking wolves he had his hand forced to kick them away. “Shoo I don't want in on this war!”
“Too late future Shepherd!”
“NUUH UH!!!” But in reality it was already to late as Chi fought back against the wolves as they came to attack him…..disclaimer Chi is an animal guy he loves all animals its just well….they are trying to kill him right now! One by one Chi fought of the Wolf pack not trying to harm them but ended up doing anyway as he kicked and threw them away from him causing some to yelp in pain. “Oops, sorry, please forgive me mister wolf!” This was truly heartbreaking to Chi while on the other hand the sheep were winning….so at least that was the good thing. “I JUST WANTED TO GET RID OF THE SHEEP” So If he survived this he was going to be a legit war veteran right? Does Sheep vs Wolves count as a war? There was one too many. The sheep from earlier ran to his aid and was also attacking wolves from his blindside.
“Sheep can Fight?!”
“I am Fuu-Fuu the ninja sheep, Baah!”
It seemed well….that made so much since. Chi and Fuu-Fuu working together fought off the remaining Wolf Army and with little effort the two demolished the remaining forces until all the wolves had left. “Ugh….i feel bad for fighting them.”
“Don't worry about it kiddo, We may have won the battle but the war still rages on!”
“Uh huh…..welp I guess I'm done here..?”
“Not yet!”
“Whyyyyy??”
Fuu-Fuu quickly scurried away from Chi and left for quite awhile as Chi waited. During his waiting time he decided to explore the large oasis and found a nice little spot to relax at for a bit. It was actually was nice her and different than his time in the Village. “A real sheep paradise huh.” There was such a nice breeze and so much cool water that Chi figured he could live out here. He laid down in the sand and got more comfortable as he waited for Fuu-Fuu to return with whatever she was bringing….maybe an reward! Seriously what was taking so long to come back with a reward? Deciding to go look for Fuu-Fuu himself he had found a bunch of Sheep huddled up with Fuu-Fuu standing on top of them making a Fluffy Sheep Tower. “Uh…” Chi was lost for actually words because he wasn't sure to be impressed or be annoyed that this is what was taking so long. “Yeah….uh...do you have that thing you needed…”
“SILENCE”
“What….”
“I SAID SILENCE”
“Okay…”
“SILENCE!”
“.....”
“Traveler you have done us a great deed in helping win the battle against the wolves our mortal enemy!”
“Uh huh….I was kinda forced her remember?”
“THE PAST IS THE PAST. ANYWAY AS SUCH A GREAT DEED DESERVES A GREAT REWARD. A REWARD TO THOSE WHO WE ONLY SEE AS GREAT ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT.”
“Okay...and the reward is…?”
Hopping off the sheep tower Fuu-Fuu then presented a very dusty looking scroll as the other sheep surrounded Chi. “Uh...what is this..?”
“A SUMMON CONTRACT!”
“Can you stop yelling please….”
“YES…..all you have to do is sign it in your blood and then you can be our new Shepherd. Simple things for more power no?”
“Sign in blood….? Power of Sheep….hm..alright then.” He needed to make himself bleed and so he bit his thumb until his precious scarlet blood dripped out and then he signed his name on the dusty scroll. “Did it so now what..?”
“WE REJOICE NEW SHEPHERD! For only hard training will come later….with our best trainer for noobs” Yep he was just called a noob by a sheep, A SHEEP! Alright Chi had enough of this and adventure for one day so he just waved goodbye and went home away from Sheep Paradise so he can finally rest.
