The next technique began to stream into Kozan's mind. Hmm... what was this, some kind of defense? It appeared to be a semi circular wall. So, using wood, he could create a sturdy bulwark? That seemed alright. It was certainly more useful than making a forest, though not nearly as dramatic. He thought about Ashur's explosions again. This technique, also, could help him quite a bit, especially with the rate his chakra was growing. That meant that the wood here would be particularly strong. Good, at least if something like that brat Jason Goka turned up again, he'd be able to provide a simple but strong defense.
What was most interesting was that this man didn't possess that many wood technqiues. However, the ones he did have were powerful, like the forest one. It was then that he realized that the forest creation technique wasn't too bad... it could change the state of the land around him. For example, it could give someone like Ashur a lot of cover for whatever he wanted to do. Kozan was a close range combatant, though, and in general, he didn't really care about cover. After all, his armor was more than enough. Even Hikashi's attacks had just bounced off of it, not even leaving a mark on the dark metal.
On top of that, the color course change's barrier was a force to be reckoned with. Anyways, enough mulling about his own power. That wasn't what he was here to think about. Instead, it was all about this man, and just how much power he could drain from him.
The last technique was a really interesting one, and one that Kozan hadn't expected at all. A wood clone technique? Such a thing actually existed?
Hearing the Raikage's words at this point, Kozan knew that he didn't have as much time as he would like. So, he went ahead and tried a bit harder, assimilating this rather complicated technique at a faster rate. So, he could create another body from wood, that was exactly the same as his own? This was.... pretty damn strong. Not only that, they could use jutsu that he knew as well. Wait... did that mean that he could have a wood clone go out there and wield his weaponry moves at range? Huh, the utility on this was pretty nice. What was more, he could sprout them from nearby trees.
Hey, didn't this mean that he could create them from other sources of wood, like ones that he had generated with his own chakra? Such as, perhaps... the forest technqiue? This guy... Kozan thought to himself, who the hell had he been when he was alive? The fact that his aunt had known him in some way meant something to him. Also, why hadn't he had any eyes before? Something weird was going on here, and he knew that the raikage had something to do with it. Still, it wasn't his place to poke into this business... yet. If there was more power to be had here, Kozan would seek it out.
Finally, these wood clones had... some kind of tracking form? Whoa, there. This wasn't a direct usage of a technique, but it was still really good. How pleasant, Kozan thought.
He finished the technique, and stood up. Inwardly, he couldn't wait to get these jutsu into a new body. After all, the more versatility he had, the better, right? That would make this three different bodies that he could use at a given time. He knew that he could only have two or so ready to switch to at a time, but could have others in storage.
"Not too long, Lord Kage. I now possess some of this man's energy within my body, but..." he trailed off here, and his face now wore and expression of sheer frustration.
"... this guy has lightning techniques beyond my comprehension. I'd have to train pretty hard in order to even get close to being able to use them. Regardless, thanks, Lord Kage."
That being said, Kozan stepped away from the body as it did its thing. Hmm, he still wasn't exactly sure how those black rods worked, but they had done something to the body to elicit a reaction like that. Well, once again, it wasn't his business. When it came time for him to get more power, he'd know.
He was thinking about asking for more corpses, but he realized that it was most probably imprudent, and he had already gone far enough for one night. At the very least, though, he wanted to bite his aunt's body at some point in the future, if he had the chance to do it. After all, it MUST have some nice techniques in it, right? She, too, possessed a lightning nature.
