Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission) Empty Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission)

Sun Mar 13, 2016 10:03 pm
Mission: Dis hurr

Missions. An everyday thing for ninjas but on today a certain mother and son would be traversing on what would be quite the adventure for the both of them. Earlier in the day Kasuga had obtained the mission for him and his mother, his eyes laid on it shortly before anyone else had arrived and snatched it instantly. Now as he delivered it to their home he left a simple note saying to meet him at the forest entrance. According to the mission specs the beast had been in the deeper parts of the forest rampaging about, its species and abilities being unknown but whatever it had been it was doing some major damage and so they had to deal with it. Go figure.

After getting himself ready for the mission, he left his house with his blade Judecca already summoned and strapped to his back wearing a Jounin Flak jacket, black training pants and blue sandals. With his head band strapped lightly to his neck he left on his way towards the gate, his movements sticking to the rooftops until they were no longer in his way. With his speed he made it there rather quickly choosing to lean on the gate which had housed the forest. From where he had been he could hear the beast off in the distance, the echo of trees snapping and falling somewhere in the Northern parts of the forest," Damn...This might be a little interesting if this beast is more than what it says in the scroll," with his being his first official mission since he had came back to the village he didn't want to mess it up, but then again as a Jounin he should have been fine.

After his mother had arrived he would wave to her to show where he had been, his yellow eyes looking her over for a moment before smiling," Glad you could make it mom. So our mission is pretty simple and fun, we get to stop a monster...well an unknown beast from rampaging in the forests behind us. So we gotta stop it from getting to the village, fun right? Since we are doing this as a duo, would you light to be the captain?," whether or not she took the position he would open the gate and slowly head into the village waiting for her before heading in more towards the monster.

Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission) Empty Re: Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission)

Mon Mar 21, 2016 12:52 am
While Ari preferred to train or perform missions alone, Kasuga left a note for her to meet him at the front gates. It said nothing of a mission and she set out shortly after discovering the note. To be on the safe side Ari brought her regular assortment of gear excluding the Chuunin jacket. She decided to use her transformed appearance for fun’s sake. Ari chose to stay up the night before and finish a few loads of paperwork, conveniently leaving her day free of any responsibilities. If not for these circumstances she would have stayed at home sleeping, but alas here she was making her way toward the gates. With black suitcases under each of her eyes, Ari seemed to be worse for wear physically. On the other hand, she was feeling energetic enough to take on quite a few tasks.

A mission hadn't crossed her mind as one of those tasks but it was certainly within the vicinity of possibilities. In the end, her excitement was merely routed in the idea of spending time with her son. She didn't know what they'd be doing, nor did she have to know. Ari made her way to the meeting place completely unaware because spending time with Kasuga was important to her. Upon arriving with a happy smile, she waved at Kasuga with both hands. Some noise in the distance would have caught her attention if Kasuga seemed worried about it; however, as he was standing by seemingly unconcerned she decided the conclusion was that it posed no threat. Little did she understand upon arriving that they were going to be dealing with the noise creator.

Soon enough, Kasuga explained the situation and Ari realized they were going on a mission. Slightly disheartened by the task at hand, she shrugged before responding. "A beast huh, sounds like it's having fun, but I guess we can't let something that threatening hang around unabated... I don't have a problem with acting as the captain for this mission; nothing should really give us too much trouble if we team up anyway." Finishing on a positive note, Ari began stretching her arms and legs in preparation for combat. Whether or not the beast's form would provide her with appropriate opportunities for using taijutsu remained to be seen. Promptly following Kasuga through the gates, Ari worked on strategies to ward the beast away from the village.

In the event it was too strong for either of them, they could set fire to the surrounding area possibly scaring the beast away. However, she didn't possess an affinity for fire and had no means of setting one; let alone a controlled fire that wouldn't spread. It seemed as if the only option was to succeed, Ari didn't mind that. "I'll try to keep it occupied and locked down with taijutsu while you strike it with that fancy sword." Ari suggested, waiting for Kasuga's response as they headed towards the beast's location. A concerned look remained on her face which obliterated the excited expression she arrived with.

Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission) Empty Re: Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission)

Mon Mar 21, 2016 6:38 pm
The young son continued to smile towards his mom as he caught her coming in the distance, returning her wave with his own until she had arrived fully. Looking her over for a few moments it didn't look like she had any sleep in a while, maybe she was working herself too much? Or maybe dealing with that silly sister of his. Either way he gave her a small hug before he had explained the situation and when she had decided to take the lead he nodded and turned to finish opening the gates," Well with the two of us we can just punch it down to bits and pieces though i'm wondering what it really is...Never knew something like this could happen in the forest. Do people honestly live out this far by the way mom?," he didn't even know if people lived away from the village and instead took refuge inside of the forest. The more they walked he wanted to ask her more questions about how her life was in the village before him, but as of course he was sidetracked by something.

Looking down he could see the tracks of the beast since they should have been at least a quarter of a way into the forest. Slowly he crouched to the ground and touched the footprint, his eyes scanning the area for a moment before blinking," This might call for a different approach...What do you think?," as if on cue the demon popped up within his vision, ghosty like shrugging," Fuck if I know...Punch the thing like your mom said?," good idea that was since that wasn't what he was asking about. Once again he found himself sighing not even mentioning the fact that he could see Erebes floating in his vision, though the question was bound to come up sooner or later. On that note he turned to his mother, grin on face as he looked onward," Welp mom we got ourselves a mighty big catch her and this meat poker won't be enough soooo," as if on cue the sword disappeared and his body was taken over by a white outfight with an orangish tinge on it and two big hands floated beside him," We gotta punch the shit out of it...oops sorry," the orange eyes slowly closed.

He knew that some parents would smack the living hell out of their kids for cursing in front of them, but how would his mother feel about that? If nothing had happened he would jump onto one of the gauntlets and offered his hand to his mother to hop onto the other so that they could travel faster and in silence. If she had agreed to then he off they would zoom on gauntlet gliders (lawl) deeper into the forests to see the beast. "So mom what did you think of me when you saw me again? I know I kind of...lost my lid there, but its been hard," not mentioning that he had found out about the loss of his sister he tried to keep a level head about that. Before he could ask another question however he could hear the roaring of the beast as they came closer and slid to a stop," Well...looks like we are close."

Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission) Empty Re: Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission)

Tue Mar 22, 2016 7:25 pm
After a hug, Kasuga asked Ari a peculiar question. "People who aren't affiliated with the hidden villages normally live outside of them, they are hidden after all." A wink and raised left index finger accompanied her statement, both of which vanished as they approached tracks left by the creature. Kasuga took the initiative and investigated them. Ari also knew of the danger even looking at them from a distance, the depth of its tracks and size meant it had to weigh at least a few tons. If something weighing that much rammed into either Kasuga or herself it would probably spell death. While the shield technique was Ari's idea of protection, she wasn't sure about testing it on something this heavy and strong. "To be making the noises we can hear in the distance, leaving tracks like these..." Ari leaped a dozen meters forward to assess tracks further on.

Her expression remained concerned as she leaped back to Kasuga, pointing at one of the tracks further ahead. "About a dozen meters between this paw print and the next identical to it, so we can assume they're both made by the same leg of the creature. It's either strong enough to launch itself forward a dozen meters at a time, or it's giant." Kasuga shortly after called his sword a meat poker and put it away; equipping a pair of floating fists she hadn't seen before. He apologized for swearing with the sentence that followed, causing Ari to frown. "Swearing is fine in moderation, this situation seems appropriate for it... Considering you've brought out fists I assume we're going to pulverize this thing." As long as the swearing was context appropriate the word could do no wrong, Ari briefly thought.

While a gauntlet was offered to her, she chose to argue against it. "I assume our mission is to prevent that thing from getting to the village? Which means we need to create as much noise as we’re capable of to draw it away? Travelling in silence could cost us valuable time; the closer it gets, the harder it will be to stop it from reaching the village. Doing this is a risky gamble unless you can outpace it." Ari looked to Kasuga for his response, although there wasn't much she could do under these circumstances; she thought this before something behind Kasuga caught her attention. "I guess I could peg a boulder at it from atop that gauntlet and see if that grabs its attention..." Immediately as her sentence began, she found herself grabbing a tree and pressing it further into the ground. Ari used it like a lever to dislodge a boulder that sat beside it. She pressed her right hand underneath it and in one smooth motion lifted it above her head.

The boulder weighed about one ton and had a radius of roughly one meter; Ari could have lifted at least thirteen times its weight, although something heavier would have been much harder to throw. Assuming Kasuga was comfortable with this idea; she would jump onto the floating gauntlet and prepare for take-off. From the air she could land a fairly accurate blow against the beast. Even if it missed there was a good chance a falling boulder could distract it momentarily, allowing them to catch up.

Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission) Empty Re: Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission)

Fri Mar 25, 2016 12:56 am
Well that only slightly answered his questions for the meantime, though something told him that in the dainty village of Konoha someone lived out here just to be away from the hustle bustle life of the village. Moving on into the future Kasuga continued to survey the area taking in the various marks left by the beast, ranging from claw marks to foot prints. Though he had never seen a beast quite like it he did however wonder just what could do something like this. Surely its species might be some rare organism that had just resurface or someone could have really lost control over his summon. At either point he watched the woman he called mother basically leap forward for some odd reason which to be honest...he knew nothing about her clan. Sure he had been around her to ask these questions yet nothing came of it since most of the time he spent it simply being in her presence rather than talking. When she had came back and gave her analysis on the matter he nodded briefly," So it could be a wild animal that had grown out of control or it is indeed a rogue summon," though her next words had implanted quite the impression within him.

"You have a mighty good point mother though...What do you want to do from here," of course her words had caused him to pause his previously aforementioned movements causing himself to be on the left handed gauntlet. While she had a point what were they going to do to cause the commotion needed to make the beast play to their rules? Well as always momma knew best and began to enact her plan within a moments notice. Kasuga slowly watched as she used her strength to pull a tree back, the single action causing his mouth to slowly drop as both he and Erebus thought of the same thing," Damn she is strong....Is this what your old man thought of her???," Erebus had definitely been taken by surprise over what he thought to be her own natural strength, but little did they know she was about to do something else.

Slowly his mouth dropped to epic proportions as the boulder was simply picked up with no straining effort, the young male simply stammering in silence as he only hoped she was using a jutsu to do such a thing and if not? He surely was going to ask questions after all of this was over. It had been once Ari had hopped onto the gauntlet he spoke again," Once I launch you i'm going to take off full speed towards it (but because his running speed would be half of what it really is he is going to cheat the system) and i'm gonna punch it. But knowing once i throw you, i'll hold it in position so you can land on it or....punch it from the air," and with that the plan was laid bare. Calming his mind he allowed his senses to take over his body as he listened in on the beast, using its sound and as a form of echolocation to know exactly where to launch his mother. Kasuga began to take a deep breath as a black chakra leaked from his body, and from there it was a green light," Annnnddddd Go!," roaring into action he launched both the boulder and his mother into the air.

As soon as the two were clear and in the air, his own gauntlet dug into the ground as a form of launching pad," Ready....Steady...Go," flying he went at breakneck speeds. The black mist formed into wings further propelling him and his gauntlets towards the beast all with a smile. The young male used the Gauntlets to punch through any obstacles in his way and if he had made it to the beast before his mother, he would use the right hand gauntlet to shoulder rush the beast...or if he had missed it, shoulder rushed a tree to stop himself a bit...lady luck be on our side.

Bracing herself, Ari knelt down into the gauntlet's palm; preparing all of her strength for the launching procedure. She listened to Kasuga's plan where he would basically act as a distraction. It wasn't a bad plan, Ari nodded after he finished explaining it. Unsure of how difficult it would be to accurately land on the beast from the air, she wouldn't have much control over her trajectory after leaving the gauntlet. Ari focused momentarily, listening for the beast to accurately depict its location. To better her chances of landing on it and hopefully deal a considerable amount of damage, she positioned her legs at a slight angle. Whether or not the gauntlet accurately launched her towards it, Ari would account for any mistake in its movement by kicking off in its direction.

Kasuga finally said the word, and she was launched into the sky. Ari immediately felt the weight of the boulder seemingly double as pressure from the wind smashing against it slowed her ascent. Even with nature acting against her, she accumulated more and more speed; with her trajectory quickly changing into a plummeting fall. The boulder was still positioned correctly  to land before Ari, hopefully on top of the beast's head. Ari couldn't see past it to tell whether or not Kasuga's distraction was working and allowed gravity to take control until she landed. Using the boulder to break her fall, it would suddenly come crashing down before shattering into five equally sized pieces. Ari couldn't tell if the beast was hit as her legs absorbed some impact from the descent, focusing on the next task at hand.

She assessed her situation, whether or not the beast was hit would decide her following actions.

Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission) Empty Re: Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission)

Thu May 26, 2016 5:54 pm
Mom was launched. Good, things were going well enough that she would be able make it into the air with the boulder, the whole situation he had been able to see from afar. With that he continued to smash through the trees in front of him which if he had been planning this right the beast would turn towards his direction and simply want a piece of him, but this child was not going so easily. Smiling he would shoulder tackle into the beast before grappling it with the two gauntlets plus his own brute strength which would have locked the beast down until he had heard a rather interesting thud. His mom must had made contact because the beast buckled quite a bit before the beast threw him off, the young male crashing into the trees behind him," Oof dammit you have some bark in you don't you? Mom you alright up there??," of course he didn't know what had been going on with her fight with the beast, but he knew that he was going to get back into the fight.

Using the right gauntlet as a launching pad, he launched himself towards the beast hitting it with a left hook providing Ari had kept it in the same area and if so he would continue to barrage it with punches until the beast had kicked him away, into another tree...what the hell was up with the trees!!!!

Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission) Empty Re: Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission)

Sun May 29, 2016 1:01 am
Smashing into the beast's back, the boulder absorbed most of the impact from Ari's fall as it shattered into pieces; subsequently allowing her to land on the beast's back through the rubble. Immediately dropping onto the beast's back, she locked her legs around its spine and dug her feet into its hide. Ari looked like an ant sitting on the beast's back. Still, she had a job to do on top of it and hopped to it. Using her secured position atop its back she began laying into its spine with punches. Ari threw a right hook as she tugged on its spine with her left leg, attempting to sever the connection between its vertebrae. It unfortunately seemed to have no effect on the beast as the skin on Ari's knuckles was torn off on impact. Realizing she'd injured herself, Ari gave some brief thought to a new approach before standing up and launching herself towards its head.

As she approached the head she caught sight of Kasuga, hearing him ask if she was okay. Instead of verbally answering Ari decided to show him she was doing fine. Using her right elbow and knee, Ari approached the right tusk while airborne and pinned it between them on passing. Using the Intersection Method to damage its tusk, it cracked slightly and the beast reacted by flinching to the right; Ari used the Taijutsu Style Block in response to the tusk's side heading for her. Its neck was exposed to Kasuga on the left side momentarily as the right tusk sent Ari slamming into the ground; gradually she skid along the dirt before coming to a halt, but not before tearing up enough ground to bury her body. Her hand appeared from the dirt shortly after, gaining a grip above it to pull herself out and assess the situation. Gradually damaging the beast would take time, but it seemed to be a fun approach for now.

She hoped to find out how Kasuga was doing but couldn't shout out and bring attention to herself; with the beast's side exposed she had the chance to attack unabated. Unsure of Kasuga's actions after her sight was blocked and whether or not it was a good time to strike, Ari took a chance and began running towards the beast's right side. Along the way she realized her right pinky finger was broken from blocking the tusk. Ari quickly cracked the finger back into place before tightly closing her fists. Aiming for the beast's belly which looked like a softer target; she threw an uppercut into it, driving her right fist as deeply as it would go before the beast's muscle stopped it. Pulling her fist back, Ari performed the Sucker Punch with her left fist and drove it deeper into the beast's gut. Seemingly having some effect, the beast puffed out an excess of wind and saliva from its vile mouth.

If the sucker punch were successful it would be stunned momentarily. Ari pulled her left fist back out of its gut and prepared to assault it with further blows.

Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission) Empty Re: Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission)

Fri Jun 03, 2016 8:06 pm
A loud thud could be heard from where Kasuga had hit the tree, implanting himself deep within it as he stared up through a small stream of his own blood. While the light armor had protected his body, the same could not be said about his head. As the blood streamed down his face, the male slowly lost control of himself for a moment as he began to growl. Blue eyes soon began to swirl into a crimson color as black wisps left his body, the monster inside of him had been awakened. Looking towards the beast, the gauntlets that were once looming beside him became armor along his arms as he dashed into the beast, connecting a fierce left hook into his right shoulder before vanishing upwards and dropping a well placed ax kick into its skull.

While the beasts skull had indeed been strong, it could not take the full force of the kick causing it to buckle slightly. As the male however had been landing from his barrage of attacks, the beast attempted to connect its tusks into his stomach. For a moment the tusk would appear to have been through the male, though as time slowly wound down his mother could see a dark blue aura envelope her son. From that moment on the males whole body changed. He had no longer had pale white hair, it had become snow white. No longer were his eyes red with rage, they had now become a piercing lavender color. The males arms had been coated with some strange blue armor giving him the appearance of claws on his fingers and on his back? Wings of blue and black appeared on him, the right arm of the Jounin stopping the tusk from piercing him as he smiled," Looks like I lost myself there for a second....Let's try this again shall we?," the small smile appeared on his face as he pushed forward sending the beast away from his mother while also giving her a new vantage point for her punch.

With the beast flying away from him, the odd colored wings would beat as he took off towards the beast, offering his hand to his mother as he did so. If she had take it, the claws of her son would safely wrap around her wrist before throwing her at the beast at his full strength, giving her a little more speed in order to connect an attack. While she did that, he would fly into the air and deliver a crescent kick to keep it off balance so that it could not retaliate. In this whole moment the male had been driven by two minds becoming one. One that had wanted to succeed no matter what and the other who wanted to use their power to crush what had stood before them. The mixture of the Heir of the Ametsuchi and the Demon of Chaos made for a potent combination that would not be settled until this beast was done and beat.

Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission) Empty Re: Mom and Son vs The Forest Monster (mission)

Sun Jun 05, 2016 8:44 am
Ari could feel the impact of Kasuga's strikes through the earth starting with his right hook, as the beast's body caused a rumble beneath her feet. The axe kick he landed caused the ground under the beast's front hooves cracked. Ari decided to back away from it and create a few meters distance so she could observe what was happening, only to notice Kasuga seemingly being impaled. However, before she could scream or move he appeared fine. A transformation took place it seemed, although she didn't know if he was actually injured yet. Only when Ari noticed that Kasuga stopped the tusk with his right arm could she move and breathe again. With his next attack, Kasuga pushed the beast further away from them both; it appeared he was prepared for this scenario, as she watched him fly in and offer a hand. Taking it, Ari found her wrist being gripped tightly before he launched her at the beast.

While flying through the air, time almost appeared to slow. With the beast's body flying backwards as she flew towards it, the only things moving appeared to be Kasuga and the environment. Ari felt she was lacking some power behind her attacks and subsequently wasn't keeping up with Kasuga's assault. Having recently focused time on training the Perfect Cell Transformation, it seemed as good a time as any to put it to use. Forming the Ram handseal and focusing Chakra throughout her body's cells, intending to improve her physical strength and speed, Ari sent a surge of energy throughout her body. Her latent abilities would suddenly spike with improved reflexes and raw physical power. Alongside them was a weak healing effect that numbed some of the pain from the transformation, but also provided minor protection. Ari's strength would now measure at 150 and her speed at 195 with a RT of 300.

Due to her increased reflexes it felt like she was now moving slower than before. While Kasuga's throw was indeed faster than she could run without this transformation, it was considerably slower than she could currently run. Ari decided not to force a landing or anything crazy that might injure her and allowed the throw to continue doing its job. Instead she prepared for what move to take next. While airborne there were fewer options available to her, but also a greater vantage point. Kasuga appeared to be moving in for a crescent kick against the beast which would open it to an attack on her side, how she should go about it was still up for debate in her mind. Considering her arsenal of Jutsu, only two stood out that could work under these circumstances; those were the Evening Elephant and Lariat. Both had their merits and could deal sufficient damage in her current transformation to cause the beast a lot of pain.

Still, she only had time for one when the opportunity would present itself. Observing the beast's movement as Kasuga's kick collided with it would have to be her decision maker. She waited for the moment, watching his leg slam into the creature which caused its body to remain off balance. An opening presented itself on the beast's right side under its tusk. Focusing on it with her eyes, Ari aimed for the tusk's root and prepared to use the Lariat. Gradually having descended on her way towards the beast, her feet would finally touch the ground. During this moment the beast's tusks were directly above her and open for attack. Ari kicked off the ground with all her strength and the momentum of Kasuga's throw still behind her, opening her right arm out to the side and crashing into the flesh just beneath the beast’s right tusk. The collision caused its tusk to wobble and loosen from its roots as the beast squealed in agony.

Pressing her advantage, Ari wrapped her right arm over the beast's tusk and braced it on the opposite side to her left hand. She pressed both her feet into the beast's face at the right tusk’s base. With her full body's strength of 150 yanking on the tusk, Ari ripped it out, followed by a gush of blood that coated her body. For some reason the beast stopped bleeding shortly after painting her red. Ari could only assume it possessed some unnaturally potent white blood cells, or that it possessed a powerful Chakra system. Perhaps this beast really was a summon on the loose. As she fell from the beast's face, Ari searched for Kasuga. While landing on the ground she'd finally spot him and shout "Catch!" Immediately following the shout Ari tossed the beast's right tusk up to Kasuga. It was at least ten meters long and had a deadly sharp point on the end; naturally she sent the tusk towards him with the root first.

Still positioned on the ground and readily able to help Kasuga, Ari ran towards the beast as it attempted to charge her. She quickly dropped onto her back and slid under its mouth before planting her feet into the dirt to stand under it. Using her newly found strength from the transformation earlier, Ari raised both her arms and lifted the beast slightly off the ground until its legs could no longer touch it. She couldn't think of a better way to immobilize the beast and open it to an attack from Kasuga. Only now she noticed that the beast smelled rotten, like it had been on the loose in a swamp before they found it. However far it traveled to reach this destination, Ari knew she and Kasuga would be putting a stop to it within the next few minutes. Whether or not the beast would survive this encounter would rest on how long it took to become exhausted. Even with all her physical activity, Ari was still feeling energetic enough to continue for a few minutes.

However, the beast's stamina was unknown to her and could have lasted for hours, or even days. The safest option for Kasuga and herself would be to put it down for good and ensure nobody less able encountered it in the near future. Indeed, if it was a summon, did somebody lose control of it or set it loose in the forest to attack people? Ari suddenly stopped considering these options as following the next attack by Kasuga she gripped the beast tightly and suplexed its face into the dirt. The beast's left tusk, assuming it was still intact, would be buried in the ground momentarily. While it struggled and tore up the earth to release it from the stuck position, Ari would turn around and deliver a basic kick into its neck. With her strength the beast would be sent toppling over onto its back, opening its belly to attack by Kasuga. With the upside down face of it before Ari, she used one hard downward punch into its snout to crush its cartilage.
