Monster Slayer (P/NK/Mission)
Sun Apr 10, 2016 10:20 pm
- Mission:
Mission Name: The Terror of the Forest.
Rank:S
Type:Destory
Character Requirements:Genin Team, Chuunin or higher.
Mission Location:Forest, Konoha
Word Count Requirements:10000
Repeatable?Yes.
NPC?Not need, though if requested could be given.
Reward:5000 Ryo.
Task: A large monster has been spotted in the forest, some summon gone wrong, and it is your job to take it out before it can do Damage to the Village!
The Uchiha got up rather early in the morning. After exiting her home she headed off to the Hokage mansion and requested a S-Rank mission. It was clear that she could just deal with the mission on her own, but it'd be far more fun for her to just go ahead and just get some teammates to go with her along the way.
It would give her a chance to assess the abilities of some of her fellow shinobi to determine who would be worth training or training with in the future. Thus, amongst the massive roster of shinobi she picked a select few randomly. Anri didn't even bother to check out what said shinobi had done in the past, instead she just wanted to wait for them to arrive in order to check out their capabilties.
Waiting for the three teammates who she didn't exactly know who'd be, the calm and solemn Uchiha would head off to the gates of Konohagakure no Sato, deciding that for this mission she wouldn't wear her ANBU clothing, since it'd be suspicious, as well as weird, for her to do so. Anri went adorned with a black shirt with a high-collar and short sleeves.
The shorts she was wearing matched in color, too, and so did her sandals. Lastly, her forearms and ankles were gauzed up. She wore no accessories, and her hair was tied up into a pair of long ponytails, one on each side of her head. The black-haired female got closer and closer to the gates with each hop from building to building. Not too soon after her nonchalant series of hops she'd leap down and land in front of the gates.
Her onyx gaze locked onto the bustling forest ahead of her, listening to the sounds of wildlife and satisfying her sights with the greenery and fine nature. The beauty of the woodland never appease the girl ever since she was young. While she waited for her teammates she sat and recalled how she managed to get so far along with the constant problems that Konohagakure had in the past.
"Who's going to arrive?" She thought to herself, hoping they weren't a bunch of newbies, or ignorant Genin for that matter.

It’s been a long week for the taijutsu master, but of course like all things in this cruel world, the village had decided to assign her to an S rank mission on the week where she had just finished offing her whole family. In an attempt to continue to keep anyone from finding out until she figured out what she would do, she accepted the mission to prevent any suspicions. The girl strapped up by placing her sword on her lower back and headed straight out the door to where her team and her would meet.
The blonde girl wore her Chuunin flak jacket over a long sleeve white shirt and some black fitted jogger pants, Queen arrived to the destination and spotted no one else but another woman who seemed to be waiting as well. Queen didn’t mutter a single word but wait a couple of meters away from the other woman. She hopes that whoever else her teammates were, that they would be here soon, or else the blonde would take it upon herself to head out on her own and take care of this so called monster that had claim the forest as its home. For now, she would wait with her arms crossed, her mind racing through what she would do now.

After the ramen with Anri from yesterday, Risako's bank account was looking more and more like a starved child in a third world country. Y'all know what that means kiddies. Time to binge on S-rank missions like an alcoholic during a relapse, let’s hope she doesn’t get a fucked up liver. Or in this case any major injuries, considering the nature of most S-ranked missions.
She left her home headed for the Hokage's administration building this morning dressed in a mesh undershirt covered by a long sleeve crimson v-neck with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows, which was mostly covered by her chuunin flak jacket, and as usual she showed off very little skin, the exposed clavicle being the only thing to touch the open air. She also wore a pair of beige shorts that fell slightly below her knee, and as usual, she wore no shoes. Shoes were the weak man's commodity. The only really new addition to her attire was a grey hair clip that kept her bangs pulled back. The rest of her raven hair fell in straight but messy locks around her head.
As she made her way through the short jaunt to the building she made sure her gear was in check. She fastened the strap that held her katana to her hip, checked her weapon pockets, and finally made sure her ring was on her finger. With everything in order, she entered what was possibly her least favorite place in Konoha, (the only reason she didn't absolutely despise the place was because the Hokage's office had some pretty damn comfortable chairs.) Fortunately, for her, she wouldn't have to spend much time nitpicking through which missions would be more or less difficult/worth the pay, as she had apparently already been assigned a mission. The lady would spare her no details, except that she was supposed meet her assigned team out by the gates… It probably would have been useful to let her know this was an S-rank mission. Not some little kiddy shit.
Anyway, that was weird. But, she made her way there. Orders were orders.
As she arrived on the scene, her introduction was nothing more than a wave and a "Hey." Between the home intruder and the cripple, Risako kinda just wanted to go be done with this mission already. Of course, if some other teammates happened to arrive to alleviate her fears… Well that’d be dandy.

When the white haired, pale skinned beauty woke up the last thing she expected was a knock on the door from someone carrying a mission packet. The man appeared to be in a hurry with a full sack of other papers to deliver, so Kirino signed for her papers without question. She carried her papers into her apartment where she sat them onto her neatly organized table in her run-down apartment. Opening the papers Kirino’s eyes widened at the sight of S-Rank. This can’t possibly be for me there must be some other Kirino Kaguya that was supposed to sign for this. The girl’s heart was racing and she was ready to run down the mysterious courier and make him take back these papers, but surely he would be gone by this point. Maybe this was a test from the hokage to prove her loyalty to the village. It was certainly a cruel joke if it was, an S-rank mission for a genin was unheard of, and especially for someone who just moved into the village.
When her nerves finally calmed she continued looking through the packet it was quite relieving when she saw that others would also be on the mission. There was also a meeting time and place, but there was only an hour to get there and Kirino had no idea of many of the village’s locations, because she was a new resident. She continued to read through the mission details apparently a summon gone wrong was the reason behind it and the thing was now wandering the forest. I was in the forest a couple of days ago when I became a genin, luckily this thing wasn’t there then or I would have been in some serious trouble. Fixing her hair so that it was straightened out she continued to read through until the packet was finished from front to back. The girl put on her white kimino and white sandals before heading out the door, keys in hand. The door as usual was a hassle to clothes, so she kicked it shut and called it stupid as always and dealt with the embarrassment as people looked to her. ”Good morning, every one.”
After exchanging pleasantries with her neighbors she began to leap across the roof tops to the meeting location. Although the mission didn’t really detail who to look for, so if finding the place wasn’t hard enough, finding the place and finding the correct people surely was. Also, it wasn’t like she could walk up to random strangers and say “are you here for the S-Rank mission too?” It was probably something that was supposed to be kept under wraps, I mean that was something ninja do keep things quiet and in control right? Well, it would be best to say that it is what an intelligent ninja would do. When the kimono wearing Kaguya finally arrived at the gates she noticed what appeared to be the team she had the mission with. There were two people wearing chuunin flak jackets at least.
Approaching the group the new addition waved to everyone with a smile. “Hello my name is Kirino Kaguya, I am a new addition to the leaf village, but I hope I’m in the right place.” She never mentioned what the right place was in case she was wrong, instead she pulled out her head band which she had yet decided a place to put, then put the thing away. These people all look really strong I seriously hope they got the wrong Kaguya to go onto this mission. With luck they will tell me this was all a prank to see if I would show up. That was unlikely to happen though.

The sound of a loud thud on the floor of his living room would startle Mako enough to wake him. He would open his eyes and check the time and realize his alarm would be going off in about 20 seconds anyway. With ninja like reflexes he would time his attack and stop the alarm before it ever made a noise. He would turn and sit on the edge of his bed reaching into the drawer of his night stand and producing a long white cigarette and a match. He would place the smoke in his teeth and strike the match on his lampshade slowly bringing the flame to bear at the end of the cigarette. He would inhale and shake out the fire.
It was still dark and Mako never received mail this early unless it was a mission. Leading him to assume he was being summoned. The tall tan man would yawn and stretch while standing and walk over to the place where the parcel had been placed through the mail slot on his door. A manila folder wrapped and bound with S-Rank stamped on its forefront. He would open it and wander over to his couch where he would flop down and read the parcel.
As he read the mission continued to get worse and worse. Starting with killing a summon, which was something he had moral contradictions toward, headed by mysterious superiors, which he currently despised the mysterious superiors in the village considering them unstructured and lacking in skill, and lastly he would be accompanied by none other than Risako Akara, ex teacher turned rival, this mission had the word awful written all over it. However there were some highlights, one being that although it would be a team mission, he himself was not actually part of the team chosen, a young genin was elected based on promise that she had shown. He was instead to serve as a consultant on summons, which made him feel somewhat more ok with this.
Mako would slap the folder down on the coffee table and leap up, going about his normal exercising routine to keep his manly figure on point then following that with a shower and breakfast, he would prepare for the mission. Grabbing his heavenly sorrow ninjato and Konoha Army Katana, strapping the ninjato on his right leg with his headband and slipping the katana on the back of his belt. Mako would then place his Flak Jacket over a black v neck which was tucked into his brown khaki fatigues. Lastly he would prep his remaining ninja tools, including his mission log, and smokes and head out.
His hands clasping the neck of his flak jacket while he walked, the only thing he had to concentrate on was his next jutsu he might learn prior to the upcoming exams. He had a few ash techniques that needed fine tuning, including the ashen clone. Which could be quite helpful in a situation which called for distraction and subterfuge.
The Sarutobi district was not too far from the meeting place, it didn't take long to get there for Mako, though as he arrived he immediately realized he was the last one there. Four females stood saying very little apparently waiting for him to get there. Mako would continue on and stand next to Risako towering above her at 6 feet tall.
"Ready?" Mako would ask as he lit another cigarette and blew the smoke in the young girl's face, and prepared to dodge the attack she would most undoubtedly launch at him.

She watched and waited for their arrivals, addressing each of them with a nod. Once they were acquiainted she would shift her head forward, proceeding to remove a gold and brown mission scroll from her pocket and peel it open. The Uchiha simply took a look at it's contents, ensuring that they were going on the right mission. Sure enough everything matched the briefing that she was given before she left and headed to the gates.
Anri begin to move forth in a powerwalk, eager to get this mission done. She tilted her head, looking over her right shoulder at the bundle of individuals. Anri flashed RIsako a friendly smile as she did look over her shoulder. Whether or not this was regarded by the person it was geared toward, she woul'd look back ahead. While she was waiting for them to start moving with her, she was contemplating what she would do on this mission. S-Rank or not, she was far too experienced to participate, as it would end with her most likely killing their target in one fell swoop.
Years of killing for the sake of information containment and of the like did that to you. As for what she would do to aid herself if she actually did get involved in full-effort combat, that was something she had not thought out. She had inadvertently brought her strongest weapon, her Gunbai. If the going got tough for her teammates that would be useful for making the monster kill itself with, using a particular ability that her Gunbai possesses. Then came the thought about doujutsu, specifically her Sharingan.
For now she would leave her Sharingan inactive; it gave her virtually no benefit, since she was already capable of sensing at a high-degree. In addition, it'd just eat up her and sap from her chakra reserves, and that would not be beneficial on any sort of combat-oriented mission, or situation as a kunoichi in general. With her lack of knowledge on the people, she decided that she would do what was best in this situation, take in information.
She would allow them to take care of the monster while she watched what they were capable of. Once she would do that, she would dictate who was worthy and who was not. Hell, perhaps she could find a training partner through this sort of scouting activity. This mission held more than just potential for financial benefit for her afterall.
Anri sighed, putting away the scroll and beginning to tie her black locks into two separate ponytails on each side of her head, with maroon hair-ties. Once this was complete she looked over her shoulder again. "Come on, let's get moving. The sighting isn't too far off from outside of the village. Stay aware of your surroundings and make sure you don't go too far ahead." The black-haired female spoke in an aloof tone and mannerism.
A bead of sweat rolled down the side of her head the moment that Queen took off with no qualms for her words of wisdom. Being the senior in this operation, it was her responsibility if the blonde got hurt. Not that she doubted her fighting ability or anything. Anri would crouch down briefly before hopping up into the air with a chakra-infused leap, landing a top a tree branch and shooting off after Queen to keep her in her senses and make sure she does not get herself hurt.

The girl continued to sulk within her most inner thoughts, thinking about her God, and the powers bestowed upon her, of her uncle who dies by her father’s hands, and her father who she had killed herself, and lastly of Jace who seemed to be her light in all that had taken place. Sometime during her thoughts, it seemed like the rest of her team had arrived. She took into account the petite looking dike who had graded her during her Genin exams who said as little as Queen had. The next person to catch her eye was the white haired who seemed to be a newbie to this whole ninja operation ordeal. The energy that she expressed only made the blonde fighter despise her and find her to be a nuisance. She had nothing against the poor innocent girl, but Rei was in no happy place to be surrounded by people and their misplaced happiness. If only she knew what was coming up ahead for the four ninja. She didn’t know who was in charge of assigning missions to the hidden leaf shinobi, but whoever it was should take a steeled blade up the rear. Assigning a fresh ninja to an S ranked mission? Hell, they might as well start planning the girl’s funeral now. That, or one of these other scrubs would have to look over her constantly.
Up next was the only piece of testosterone on this mission. A six foot tall hunk of man who expressed his dominance through the lit stick of cancer that was pressed between his lips. Well, that and blowing his cancer into the poor lesbian’s face. If he had dared to do that to Queen, she would have punched that cigarette down his throat. “Let’s just get this over with.” Queen uncrossed her arms and began to make her way towards the gates. Whatever this monstrosity was that was roaming around the forests of the fire country, she just wanted to kill it and continue her mourning. While the black haired girl awaited for the others to follow, The blonde would continue on and head towards where the beast was.

As the rest of the team gathered 'round, the best chuunin on the team could only sigh and hope that nothing went absolutely wrong. When Kirino introduced herself, our darling Risako just nodded and said her own name in response. The bit about being a new member of the leaf kinda made her a bit weary, but she didn't let it show. Instead, she was more worried about her other teammates. Not so much the bed intruder, but Mako and Queen. Speaking of he, when Mako made his presence on the makeshift team known, right then and there she knew this whole operation was a time bomb. As he approached, she confided in him her same old stare of disappointment, her usually lively silver eyes becoming dull when disgraced with the sight of "The Best Student." Her thoughts on the matter were as such, "One doesn't become the best because the other's decided to drop out." The others who dropped out being Ryugia and Zennal, who were probably the most polite students she had met to date. Of course one of the two, and possibly both wanted to get in her pants. Knowing Mako well enough that she knew he liked to blow smoke in people's faces, when he did so, she kinda just held her breath. She'd get her payback eventually. Her worries about Queen were pretty simple, and had to do with why this girl was handicapped. A ninja that couldn’t use chakra was basically nothing more than a muscled freak.
When Anri decided introductions were out of the way, Risako took the liberty to stay behind for a second to summon her foxes. I mean, she wasn't totally brain dead, and communication was key, so she'd let 'em know with a brief, "I'll pick up the rear." Placing her right thumb against her canine, she bit into the skin just enough to cause some blood to flow. Wiping the sticky red substance on the inside of her flak jacket, she then held her hands together in the seal of confrontation, invoking two, count 'em two, foxes that were just small enough to fit within the confines of her armor. Was it comfortable? No. Was it practical? Not right away. After they had began to gather Nature energy for her though, the effects would become more apparent, already her eyes were beginning to darken from the effects of the nature energy.
Probably after everyone else had already left, she would finally begin to move, picking up the rear.

Before Kirino had moved to the village she had heard about its legendary kindness from all around the border. Hokage is nice this, people are nice that, but what she was seeing did nothing to make her believe that. If anything someone looking from the outside may genuinely think that these people hated one another. There was the guy who had shown up with a lit cigarette and blew the smoke right into one of the girls face. Which was completely rude, he may have been a chuunin, but that doesn’t excuse him from having the common courtesy of blowing it in another direction. Still maybe her original assessment was wrong and this guy didn’t hate Risako, but in fact he blew smoke into her face as a sign of affection. Kirino had a gut feeling that was not the case however.
Second there was a girl who seemed to be the leader, the one with two pony tails who gave no introduction and just said “come on, let’s get moving.” Was she the one who assigned me to the mission? If so she is also the one I should be most cautious of. When most of the group had decided to follow the currently name-less ninja, half of Kirino’s suspicions were confirmed. I guess she is in charge. This woman also seemed to know where the creature was, if the others knew they surely had not mentioned it yet. Or maybe I missed the location in the stress of the moment.
When the blonde looked to Kirino, she seemed to have her panties in a wad over something. Maybe, the Kaguya had accidentally offended her in some way or maybe someone else did. Still she along with the others had not even mentioned their names. Although the human chimney had an excuse, as Kirino had yet to introduce herself and with the way this party seemed to be going it probably wasn’t a good idea. When the blonde said “Let’s just get this over with.” It became more apparent that she was upset about something. It was a team full of women, maybe the all happened to be on their cycles and Kirino happened to be out of sync due to her recent arrival. Whatever it was this mission was probably going to be a tough one if no one could get along.
At least their seemed to be one team player, the one known as Risako. At least she had figured out one person’s name in the entire group. One person who hadn’t just blown her off before rushing towards the gates in a hurry. To be completely fair though it was somewhat understandable, everyone was in a rush to stop the creature from hurting anyone maybe these people were good, yet poorly mannered who knows. If Risako was taking the back of the formation the genin would probably be in front of her especially with her slow speed being a factor. The girl just traveled at a speed in an attempt to keep up with the rest of them.

Mako was highly surprised by Risako's response to his cloud of smoke. The Risako he remembered would have already beat him to a pulp, and though it may have been an overreaction he would have welcomed it. Things in the village had been strange since Jason had passed, and none of the Shinobi he knew stayed the same, seemingly forced into a state of war time. Her lack of reaction caused Mako to sigh audibly, thinking about the nostalgia of the past and how the days of the rubber ball would soon be at an end.
As all of the remaining members of the crew would tread forth into the forest Mako would bite his thumb and stamp it onto the ground sending forth the chakra necessary for his most powerful summon. Genma the king of the Monkeys.
"Mako mah-boy what seems to be the concern?" The monkey king would flip forward out of the cloud of summoning smoke and ask. Following the question with a polite bow to the collection of females.
"A summon creature appears to have gone rogue within the forest and requires our attention. I thought maybe you could help us find it." Mako would reply, taking a large drag off of the cigarette and blowing it upward.
"Sure-O, I can help" The monkey King would reply with a nod.
"Well Ris-senpai will cover the rear so we will take flank from the tree cover, sound good Genma?" The bearded man would state to the King. The King would only reply with a nod and leap into the trees disappearing from sight, though could still be tracked with chakra perception. Mako would follow suit leaping into the trees on the left side of the party while Genma took the right side. They would remain out of sight hoping to aid in the ambush of the monster.
