Awkward Goodbyes and Punching Hello's

Togi furrowed his brow slightly when Salzem did not answer or respond in any way to the question that he had asked. 'Well that seems slightly rude...' Togi thought to himself, however the young Hyuuga soon forgot about this slight when his chakra senses alerted him to the fact that Salzem's chakra had begun to shift as though he were preparing himself to strike. 'Hopefully he is just preparing himself because of Ryu-senpai's offer but I need to keep in mind the possibility that he is losing control...' Togi thought to himself as he noted that Ryu by now had dropped his guard.

Togi was still hesitant about sparring given how much bloodlust he had sensed in Salzem's attack when he had first arrived but Togi knew that even if he declined the offer and advised Ryu against it the stubborn Genin would likely go ahead on his own. 'Atleast if I am here I can help Ryu-senpai defend himself if Salzem-san loses control...' Togi thought to himself.

"Well if I am going to have to fight the both of you at once then I am going to need some help..." Togi declared as he reached in to his robe and pulled out a scroll. Unravelling the scroll with a sudden flick of the wrist Togi then channelled a small amount of chakra into it as he dumped a large amount of water on to the sandy ground in a burst of chakra smoke. Dropping the scroll Togi then quickly began to run through hand seals before the water had a chance to completely soak in to the dry ground. 'I already know two clone techniques and I have had plenty of practice with the hand seals how hard can this be...' Togi thought to himself as he moulded his chakra while quickly forming the dog and tiger hand seals. In response the water from the ground seemed to rise up as a mist before quickly solidifying as two solid forms. These forms quickly took shape and were revealed to be exact copies of Togi.

"Whenever you are ready Ryu-senpai, Salzem-san..." The trio then called out as they dropped down in to matching taijutsu stances.

(OOC: While Togi has shown Ryu before that he can create solid water clones these are infact haze clones... Togi is hoping Ryu can't tell the difference)

Salzem watched as the the black-eyed kid summoned up a pair of clones, each appearing to be an exact copy of the kid himself, although Salzem's senses knew better. Each of the clones smelled heavily of dew, water. They may have looked like him and maybe even hit like him, but didn't smell like him. Salzem was easily able to distinguish the real from the fakes and locked his eyes on the former. He knew not if Ryu could tell who was who but that was just fine. More chaos for them was more for the werewolf to exploit and make a much easier battle to manage. The Pheromones began to pump from under Salzem's skin, spreading an invisible cloud of musky-sour smelling gas over an area of 30 meters around the white wolf, easily encompassing the two boys in it's deadly stench. Now, for every time they moved 10 above 50 speed within the pheromone bomb, their maximum speed stat would decrease by 5 every post. For every addition 10, they lose another 5 speed. Along with this detrimental decrease, they would also feel a numbing sensation as their nerves begin to lock up, increasing in intensity as more and more of their speed is sapped until eventually, inevitably, they would be left as twitching, writhing bodies on the ground. Easy pickings. All he had to do was last that long. Salzem was fortunate that his wolven blood made him immune to his own pheromones, or else this whole thing would be counter productive.

With this debuff in place, Salzem lunged at the black-eyed kid (speed 85) closing the distance, the previously unspecified 10 meter distance, between them almost instantly. He leaped at the kid's front (speed 85, Strength 50), one arm grabbing at the kid's right shoulder, the other intending to wrap around his throat (speed 85 Strength 50), knocking him to the ground with Salzem on top. Should his attacks hit, they wouldn't cause any real damage, just enough to stun. Although his instincts demanded he'd kill, shed blood and bathe in it's sanguine deliciousness, Salzem resisted the temptation and instead focused on keeping the kid flat on the ground with his sheer weight and strength.

Togi had made some more clones, these ones had been made differently than the water clones he had witnessed before. Two seals this time, maybe these aren't standard clones. When a sour odor reached the blonde haired ninja's nose he clapped his hands together creating a gust of wind that knocked any of the remaining odor away. Following that Ryu put on the mask Salzem had given him, by spinning it from the back of his head to his face and tightened the straps. "Alright, who farted and don't say it was me!" The genin asked as he watched Salzem lunge toward Togi. 

Making a few seals Ryu produced a single fire ball, that probably encompassed both of his opponents. "As the saying goes take out two somethings, with one... Fireball." The heat within the sphere was a bit on the weak side, as the ninja had no interest in hurting his two allies. (Speed and Power 40) They should both be able to dodge that, but there is another surprise.


Waiting for one of the ninja's to dodge to the left of the fireball, Ryu began to prepare a combination using his own fire. Upon seeing the tiniest flicker of motion from either side the ninja would form a bird hand seal and breath in deeply then forcefully expel four bullets of air two of which streamed after the fireball at (speed 50, power 50) while the other two headed towards the escaping ninja. On contact with the flame it would rise the temperature within and cause it to expand a few meters. Probably still not enough to hit though.

Salzem was not the the only ninja present that possessed keen senses, while perhaps not on the level of a wild animal Togi's senses had adapted to his lack of sight and had grown stronger in order to compensate, therefore as soon as Salzem began to release his pheromones Togi's nose twitched as he picked up the musky scent. 'What is that?' Togi wondered. 'Whatever that is it can't be good so I better try not to breath it in...' Togi thought to himself as he clamped his mouth shut and held his breath.

What Togi did not know however was that this strange gas was a contact poison and could even be absorbed through the pores of his skin. The first warning that Togi got about this was despite not breathing in the young ninja suddenly felt a tingling sensation all over his body. It was at this point however that Togi subconsciously tapped in to a gland of his own. Dense chakra deposits in the Hyuuga Genin's head suddenly flared to life and in an instant the boy's brain was flooded with chakra, this chakra then surged through the boy's nerves like lightning through a lightening rod. As Salzem's insidious pheromones made contact with the nerves they were instantly burnt off by the sheer intensity of the chakra surging through them. The destruction of the foreign body however was merely a happy coincidence as the true purpose of these glands was to enhance the boy's senses and currently Togi had never felt his senses so strong.

On the outside the only visible sign of this was Togi's eyes had suddenly shifted from dull grey to deepest black though to those capable of sensing chakra the boy's chakra signature had also suddenly grown in power and intensity.

The world around him seemed to slow to the slightest degree and the Hyuuga Genin began to simultaneously note what was going on around him, the key two points being that Salzem was lunging towards him and Ryu was moulding chakra for a jutsu. 'I know that jutsu...' Togi suddenly realised as he sensed the young boy convert his chakra within his body to wind chakra and channel it towards his hands without the use of hand seals. 'Wind release: Gale Palm' Togi thought to himself before the jutsu had even been performed then sure enough Ryu clapped his hands together and released a blast of air completing the jutsu. 'I was able to sense what jutsu Ryu-senpai was going to use before he used it!' Togi suddenly realised as the ramifications for what this meant began to swirl about his head.

The firing of the nerve cells within Togi's brain had been sped up to such a degree that these thoughts and observations occurred in an instant and Salzem during this time had barely taken a step. Togi cocked his head quizzically to the side as his intense pools of darkness seemed to stare straight through the wolfman. A speed of 85 was fast infact it was incredibly fast and some ninja were never able to achieve these speeds but to Togi's super charged senses (RT currently 270) Salzem currently seemed to be moving in slow motion. As Salzem reached out and attempted to grab him with his large and powerful hands Togi merely sidestepped spinning out of the way like a marionette controlled by some unseen hand.

Togi's senses then alerted him to the fact that Ryu was powering up for some unknown fire based jutsu. 'If Salzem-san can not move then he will not be able to avoid Ryu-senpai's attack...' Togi thought to himself. With this in mind Togi turned his attention towards one of Salzem's powerful legs. With his senses on fire the tenketsu were glowing incredibly brightly and Togi quickly chose one that would have the greatest effect on Salzem's movement. With a lightning fast strike (speed 165) Togi attempted to tap Salzem's upper thigh so fast that he or Ryu might not have even seen him move. As he did this Togi channelled a little more chakra than he usually would due to the wolfman's sheer bulk and power. (Power 50). If the attack hit not only would it hopefully restrict the use of Salzem's leg but some of his chakra would be sealed off. (-5 chakra).

Togi then continued to dance around his opponents attacks until just before the very moment that Ryu's attack was about to hit. The Hyuuga Genin would then flood his body with chakra before activating the body flicker jutsu and disappearing in an incredible blur of speed (I may be wrong but I think Togi would body flicker at a speed of 300). Togi would finally come to a stop at the edge of the training grounds or 300 metres away whichever was closer.

During this time Togi's clones had not been idle while the original engaged Salzem they turned and headed for Ryu. The clones were currently moving a lot slower than the original moving at only a speed of 50. The two clones however split up and came at Ryu from opposite flanks. While Ryu was busy performing jutsu the two clones charged in each thrusting a palm at the scorch users side at a speed of 50. Hopefully Ryu would attempt to dodge these attacks because if he did not he would find that the clones were incorporeal and their attacks would simply pass through him.

(sorry for the wait, fellers. Internet's being a real pain :s  Also, yer reaction time is only 110 now, considering Hansho increases it by 50. Everything else is fine Xb. IN ALSO ADDITION: Yer health has to be higher than 50 to resist, so no, you are still effected. Same goes for you ryu. Pheromones activate on contact. Even if you don't breath it, the pores are still an open gateway, ESPECIALLY when yer sweating in a desert lol)

Salzem had either been weaker than he thought or he had underestimated the kid to the extreme, but none-the-less, he could tell his pheromones were taking effect. Salzem immediately fell forward as the kid poked his lower leg, the limb locking in on itself. Salzem immediately threw an arm out and with it's strength, flipped himself to his feet (speed 85). Salzem winced slightly as his leg protested his weight immediately, but that was just fine. He could deal with pain. He would live. What was really the issue was that he couldn't access his full chakra now. It was as if the kid's touch was a key, locking that section of his chakra off. Jokes on him though: Salzem hardly used his chakra. As the punchline, the kid had easily, EASILY moved fast enough that the pheromones would have nullified every nerve-ending in his body, leaving him a twitching, seizing (but standing) mass in the sand (Considering you went 250 over the 50 speed, divided by 10 for each tier above that 50, times -5 speed per tier, equals a nasty total of 125 damage to your base speed and with your stat-boosters in place, leaves you with 35 speed and 110 reaction-time to work with. Soon as ya come outta that, yer on the ground.) Salzem's fists then burst into flames and he grinned.

The corners of his lycan mouth curled into a twisted, toothy smile, darkness practically radiating from it. Oh-ho-ho, payback time. Salzem then dashed forward at the kid (speed 185(adding dat tai body flicker), closing the 300 yards between them in a couple of seconds. He threw out a massive arm as the kid got within range, wrapping a burning claw around the boy's face, smothering it in burning flesh (speed 135, strength 50, fire damage 50). He raised the boy above ground behind him before slamming him into the sand, bringing his back down on the soft earth like a mallet (speed 135, strength 60). With the kid's movement speed so vastly below his reaction time, even if he saw this coming, there was absolutely nothing he could do to stop it. At this point, the kid would surely be done for (in the sense that he's KO'ed or immobile), leaving Salzem with his initial target, Ryu. Now, if HE were to move beyond that 50 while he was still in that 30 meter radius, he'd get docked for it as well, but hopefully not to the massive extent the other kid had. Since he was now about 270 meters out of it, well... he wasn't getting docked should he move then. Salzem turned his sanguine eyes on Ryu, walking towards him at speeds of 80, slamming a flaming fist into a searing palm.

Sorry, for waiting to post I was hoping Togi would take the initiative on this one. Either by declaring he was unconscious or something else. As it may drastically change what I do.

(ooc: sorry guys I have been away hope you weren't waiting on me. It's Ryu's action so he could theoretically interrupt Salzem before he makes his attack. If Ryu does not interfere it will appear as Togi is knocked unconscious but I still have a trick up my sleeve so don't skip me over for posting)

(I'll also take this time to point out that Salzem worked out my RT wrong. If my speed was reduced to 35 by his pheromones then my reaction time would be 35 (speed) + 60 (standard plus for RT) + 50 (Hansho sensory awakening buff) = 145)

Seeing Togirama getting thrashed around like a rag doll was no pretty sight, but it was a sparring match. When Salzem ran toward the other genin with a flaming palm, Ryu shot multiple flaming spheres twenty in total all at (75 power and 75 speed) each one was about three meters in size. While the phoenix summoner aimer all of the orbs towards the lycanthropic ninja he didn’t want to risk hitting Togirama who seemed to be in pretty bad shape, conscidering he was just tossed around. Looking for an opening in the wolves’ defense Ryu raced forward at speed 100, feeling the effects of the pheromones for the first time.
 
“Hey, Salzem my legs don’t move right.” Is this what had happened to Togi just now? Instead of focusing on why he couldn’t move properly during a fight Ryu he began to create orbs using his clan’s technique of extremely steaming murder. The orbs streamed about the ninja’s body like a defense these ones were not meant to attack. Then moving away at (whatever speed I am reduced to.) Ryu would find a spot absent of the smell and channel chakra through his body as he began to get even slower.
 

Once the odor was eliminated he would touch his palm to the ground. If I can’t move correctly I will summon something that can. Kuchiyose no jutsu! In a swirl of flames the divine bird Fawkes would erupt under Ryu and the genin would be seated on the bird’s back. “Hey, Fawkes can I get a lift?” The orbs continued to circle, but Ryu was manipulating them so that they wouldn’t hit the phoenix. After a moment the phoenix would nod and fly into the sky.

(look over it again Togi. I said you lose 125 to your base speed. They only reason yer speed is 135 and not zero is because of your stat boosters. I get the feeling you simply glanced at the post. In addition, I didn't add yer speed to the reaction time because they are not the same thing. One is moving, one is detecting the movement. See, you can see the attack coming all you want, but that doesn't mean you can do anything to stop it, see?)

As Togi skidded to a stop somewhat clumsily the young Hyuuga instantly knew that something was wrong while the speed he had moved at had likely been the fastest he had ever moved he had not lost control of the body flicker technique so badly since the day he had first attempted it... 'Whats going on my legs are not responding as they usually do...' Togi thought to himself as he registered a tingling sensation throughout the entirety of his arms and legs. Focusing his senses inwards Togi quickly became aware of a chakra disturbance that spread across his entire nervous system. 'A nerve gas? But when and how did he use it? The only clue that he had done anything was that sudden smell...' Togi wondered to himself. Togi had little time to ponder this however as though while his motor neurons had begun to shut down his sensory neurons in their chakra infused state were resisting the lupine pheromones and Togi was still able to discern the rapid movement of a chakra signature heading his way.

With his senses still functioning at roughly their normal speed Togi could easily track Salzem's approach however Togi felt like he was having an out of body experience as his body did not respond to the commands he gave it in timely manner. 'This is going to hurt... a lot!!!' Togi silently declared as he focussed on the wolfman's burning hand as it rapidly approached.

While Togi could no longer rely on his body his chakra had not been inhibited in the slightest and was infact currently the strongest it had ever been. It was therefore this chakra that Togi turned to inorder to save himself. Through the use of pure chakra control Togi began to convert his chakra in to medical chakra and began healing himself in advance to any injury that he was surely about to take.

When Salzem reached out with flaming paw Togi could not move his body fast enough to move out of the way of the attack and the massive flaming appendage clamped over the young boy's face eliciting a muffled scream of pain as the flesh on Togi's face was literally seared and melted away. Disfiguring burns to the face however were apparently not enough for the older nin and apparently a caved in skull was apparently a requirement aswell as Togi soon found the back of his head being slammed in to the fortunately soft ground.

Togi then let his entire body go limp as he lay prone on the training ground floor, Salzem would have certainly expected that attack to knock him out of the fight and put him in to the hospital which it certainly would have done had the young medical nin not activated yin healing wound destruction. Togi therefore let Salzem believe he had achieved his desired outcome though as the older nin turned and walked towards Ryu the wounds on Togi's face continued to heal themselves as the flesh regenerated and new skin quickly grew back over that which had been burnt away mere moments before.

At the same time Togi had gone limp he also cancelled the Haze clones that up until now had been harassing  Ryu though the young Scorch user had seemingly not been paying them much attention anyway.
