Bone Parade

The problems with parades is that everyone is drunk and you don’t know who is a threat and who is just acting like a jackass. There are many people out on the streets today to welcome this feudal lord. What does this guy even really do that he should be welcomed with a parade? This guy was really creepy too, he asked to only have female body guards. Because men aren’t very likeable, apparently. Still waning through the crowds of people Kirino had noticed nothing out of the usual just the usual drunks you would find at parades.

After seeing one of the other girls who was patrolling the parades flagging another guard down, Kirino pushed her way through the crowd over to the group. ”What is going on?” The Kaguya asked as the other girl arrived and the one who had waved the other down began to talk. “Well, there are some guys over there with swords. They have them drawn for some reason and I was hoping to get some back-up to go check.”

Looking over to the group Kirino nodded her head and tapped the other girls shoulder. ”All right together then.” Heading over to the sword wielding group there seemed to be four, two females, and two males. They wore strange armor with paint splattered over it and wore odd haircuts. The girl who had noticed them spoke first. “To keep the peace during the parade, I am going to have to ask you to put your swords away.” One of the girls blew a large bubble of gum, before popping it lightly and aimed the blade at the girl in front. ”What if I don’t want to…” Those were the only words the girl got out as Kirino snapped the blade in half using one of her bones. ”Next time, I see you aim a blade at someone I do that to your hand.” She then looked at the others in the group and flinched forward, making them back up. They seemed to have gotten the gist, as they put away their weapons and watched the parade like everyone else was doing.

Walking away from the group of swordsmen, the other guards began to comment how cool the genin was to just have threatened them like that. ”I need one of you two to keep an eye on them, they aren’t normal swordsmen.” One of the girls looked back to evaluate them. “What do you mean Kirino?” Looking at the girl who had asked the question Kirino responded. ”That girl tried to prevent her blade being broken, by infusing it with chakra. You should have noticed that.” Maybe things like that was why she was given a squad leader position for the parade, because what others of her rank would overlook she would not.

”This is Leaf 4 in sector three, may have some problems with four people wielding swords. They are next to the bake shop on forth, one of my squad is watching them.” The genin said speaking into her mic which had been given to her for the mission. After a moment, a guy returned the call. “Leaf 4, this is Leaf 1 good work, continue your escort.”

Taking her hand off of the call button, the genin made her way through the crowd while scanning around with her eyes. She spotted a broken bottle in the street where the floats were headed. Looking at one of the ninja’s she calls over to him to stop the parade, so that the glass could be removed and the feudal lord could get through the area safely. When the glass was removed the parade continued to move along with all of its floats intact after that Kirino got a call on her radio about the group of sword wielding thugs she had seen before. ”Leaf 4, is on route.” She sighed as she climbed on the roof tops of the village.

From the high point she could see swords pointed at two ninjas with one person who seemed to be taken as a hostage. Kirino didn’t waste time to read the situation instead she walked around the roof tops and got behind them. “All right, now give us the feudal lord and we’ll let this kid go!” One of the men barked to the genin on patrol. Removing her spine the Kaguya aimed the weapon at the man with the hostage, the weapon sliced across his shoulder and he released the kid. “Ugh... You’re going to pay for that.” He cursed as the girl ran down the building running towards one of the opponents. When she reached the blade bearer she jumped over the incoming sword and used the shoulder as a balancing point, before touching the ground and using her bodies momentum to chuck the girl whose shoulder she had grabbed. The girl was thrown hard and the weapon in her grasp fell to the ground. Looking to her allies she smiled. ”Get the hostage out of here, please. I will handle this.”

With the words of their current squad leader the girls grabbed the boy, as the three remaining people held their weapons up. Well only two of them had swords, while the other had half of a blade. Hmm, I guess I should take out the guys with weapons first, then break someone’s hand. Using taijutsu body flicker Kirino was in front of one of the men before he could move his sword and her arm was placed onto his shoulder just as she placed the hand on his shoulder she started to go towards the ground gripping the man’s shoulder tightly only so that she could throw him a moment later into some trash cans. Then only one more male and female remained and one had been promised a broken hand.

When the man attacked with his blade one of the bones in Kirino’s rib cage grew and expanded, moving forward to block the blade. Shifting her weight, so that the man would fall over with her enhanced strength the man fell over, being tossed into his friend by the trash can. Looking up at the girl with the broken sword, Kirino smiled as the girl shook awaiting her punishment. ”I think I made you a promise of some sort, didn’t I?” Cracking her knuckles loudly the white haired girl walked towards the remaining thug and gripped the woman’s hand tightly squeezing harder as time passed. Then with a quick knee to face the girl fell over. ”I’m not going to break your hand for no reason.” Kirino said pointing to another team as she walked away from the unconscious group to speak to the leader of team three.

”All, opponents have been taken out sir.” Kirino said to the chuunin leader, as they passed one another. “Good, job Kaguya keep up the work and I’m sure you will be a chuunin in no time.” I don’t want to be a chuunin though, if I get this many difficult missions and so many. What will it be like if I’m actually a rank where I am supposed to do those difficult missions? ”Oh, thank you I’m really not that good though. In fact if it weren’t for my squad removing the kid to a safe distance, I couldn’t have fought them off.” The chuunin laughed before having some of his team members drag the ruffians away, after being cuffed and woken up. Some of the people screamed curses and profanities at Kirino, while they were all being taken off to the Konoha prison.

”I am going to go gather my team and report to team one.” The Kaguya said as she began moving to look for her squad, the chuunin called through the headset as he spoke to the team one leader, about Kirino’s role in the take down of the party crashers. Upon seeing the two members of her team she called to the two with a signal. They ran over as fast as they could, while making sure not to hit into anyone. ”Has that little boy been returned to his family?” Pointing to the young kid one of the girls spoke first. “Yes, I found his mother not too far away and moved them and the crowd away from the fighting.”[/color] Nodding Kirino motioned for the girls to follow. ”Good, job you two. We are going to continue moving with the feudal lord and being on the lookout for any suspicious activity, if you see anything report it. Don’t go in alone.” The two genin scattered at that point to follow the parade and take different views of the area. One of her team members took to the rooves, while another stood close to the feudal lord and Kirino walked along the ground to see what the people were up to.

When the group rounded the corner it seemed everything from the fist fight had ended, but that wasn’t the case as a smoke bomb landed in the path of the lord’s float. Reasons why they need more people on missions like this. ”Take the feudal lord to the safe house, you two. I’m calling squad three as back up.” After giving orders to the team they grabbed the man and began to move. Kirino got on the communications device right after to inform the teams of the situation. ”Team one, members of my squad are heading your direction with the feudal lord in toe, they will need an escort. Team three, I am going to need back up. I see six armed men and they appear to be with those people from before.” In a few seconds both squad leaders got on the radio to say they had heard the orders given.

One of the people ran through the smoke towards where the feudal lord and Kirino’s squad had gone, but removing her spine she sent the whip at the man pulled him close and placed her hand on his shoulder only to toss him like she had done many people that day. He wasn’t like the others who had dropped their blades though, this guy held onto his weapon and stood up. “One girl against six people, this is going to be easy.” The man chided trying to get a rise from the girl, none would come however as she stared down her six opponents without so much blinking. Focus is going to be the key to this battle, one is going to try and distract me while the others attack from multiple angles. The people began to form a circle some trying to run past her, but that was expected. Coiling the vine around an opponent she swung him around viciously, he knocks into some of his friends who fell over, while others just ducked out of the way. After two swings she released the guy from the whip. The man was pretty much unconscious when he hit the second guy, but if she could tackle one more opponent by tossing this guy she would.

Team three arrived at this point to take care of anyone that got past Kirino, but the chuunin leader of team three stepped forward to battle the man wearing a leaf headband with a slash through it. The two ninja clashed blades as Kirino started to take down the remaining two men and within minutes all of the battles had ended. There were no deaths and only hostiles were injured. Over all it was a good day. With the feudal lord removed and at the safe house the mission was deemed as successful. After receiving her pay Kirino went to her house to relax.

Upon, entering the house Foxxy ran up to the girl and wagged his tail. ”What did you tear up?” Kirino asked while petting the animal on the head, while looking for the reason behind the Foxes cuteness. Walking into her room Kirino realized why the fox was acting so cuddly, while she was gone it had ripped up one of her pillows. She would surely need to train the fox soon.
