New to school [Training,NK,OPEN]

Miyamoto watched as Snow quickly snatched up a rock and tossed it to him.  He quickly caught it as he watched Snow pick up another rock as he began to speak, the rock he picked up changed into  a smooth cane made of stone.

He explained that the cane was an extension of himself and his control over his natural element. For practical uses such as combat or walking aids, then he demonstrated as he threw the cane right past Miyamoto, causing Miyamoto to turn his head to watch as the cane impaled a tossed away piece of cardboard.  It was amazing...that just a rock could become an amazing weapon so easily.

Miyamoto began to think, closing his eyes as he normally did when he was thinking hard.  He imagined the shape of a cane, then a quarter staff, then finally a full staff.  His mind quickly stuck with a quarter staff as he followed what Snow had said and made the Tiger seal with the hand not holding the rock as he focused his chakra into the palm of his right hand where the rock was.  He could feel it inside his enclosed fist, the rock began to change.  Not quickly, but then the rock transformed itself.  It was a small section no bigger than his forearm.  He sighed as he thought he could acomplish the jutsu his first try.  He let section of rock sit in his hand for a moment before it reverted back to it's original form.  He sighed, but then he tried again.  Imagining the quarter staff in his head, he focused more chakra into his right hand as he made the tiger hand sign once more.

This time the Rock transformed into a section a bit longer than a foot in his hand, but it still was not what he wanted.  He sighed as he again let the section revert back into a rock.

"This is hard."

He exclaimed, breathing a bit heavy.


"But I am gonna do it!"

He proclaimed as he picked up the rock and held it near his base chakra point as he did he also moved his left hand that was performing the hand sign to his face as he focused once more.  He poured more chakra into the rock, trying to find the right amount for what he wanted.  He focused 5 chakra into his right hand as he began to really visualize the quarter staff now, in the front of his mind.  HE kept focusing as he took a few minutes before using the tiger hand sign one last time, holding it longer than any other time he had attempted as he poured his all into it.


"Earth Section Cane Jutsu"

The rock in his right hand grew quickly into a quarter staff as he held it out in front him amazed at what he had done.  Showing it to snow for inspection.  He hoped that the quarter staff would meet at least some of the levels that he would be using it on.  Of course he was not practicing with it or anything yet, he just needed to get ahold of how to use the jutsu first.

Kyousuke remained silent taking a puff of his cigarette here and there as the ninja trained. He watched every step from the first failure to the first success. He didn't say a word the entire time, if the boy had become discouraged he would have given him some motivation. It didn't seem needed though as Miyamoto learned from his own mistakes and completed a well formed cane.

The jounin gently took the rock staff from the boy as he showed it off, he looked over the quality and decided it was great. "Looks good, now comes the fun part. Now you get to hit me with it. If you can't do this what I teach you next won't be easy." If Miyamoto decided to hit Kyousuke with the cane the thing would explode into pebbles and dust from the ninja's body.

(If Miyamoto hits him with the cane.) "Remember that the rock isn't very durable, so hitting thick skinned opponents will cause it to shatter." The jounin rubbed his hands together for the next attack he would introduce. 

"Now we are going to practice a slap. Simple, but effective." The ninja exposed the palm of his hand before going through the motions slowly. "There are forwards and backwards slaps, I want you to try both and use whichever you like better."

Miyamoto watched as Snow examined the quarter staff, and as he did Miyamoto took the time to look it over himself. It was about one meter long and looked sturdy and smooth. That is when Snow handed it back and told Miyamoto to hit him with it. Miyamoto looked at snow with a very worried expression, but thought about it a minute...he knew that it would most likely have no effect on the shinobi.

Miyamoto took the quarter staff and got into position, holding the bow as an extension of himself even with his leg. Miyamoto then performed a cross strike across the chest of his teacher with a speed of 5, and strength of 5. He watched as the Staff shattered as he hit Snow's chest. It left Miyamoto stunned. That is when Snow explained that it was justr rock and not very durable.

Miyamoto was still in disbelief, but he nodded that he understood and dropped the remaining section of the staff. It was then that Snow explained that he wanted Miyamoto to perform a slap, both front and back handed.

Miyamoto took a deep breath after watching Snow, then he backhanded Snow across the chest with a strength of 5 and speed of 4. Not very fast or strong, but it was the best he could do. He then slapped him with the same speed and strength with a front facing slap. Afterwards he stepped back and entered another defensive stance to await further instruction.

The hand hit off the padding of the jounin's jacket as he slapped. With two basic techniques taught Kyousuke hoped the boy would be satisfied for the time being. Hopefully Shiro or Lucien would help him learn some other things, so that he could become a genin. "Well I think that is enough for today. You feel good? If not run around the village one and half laps, you'll feel great."


With that the man would put out his cigarette and throw it in the trash before saying his goodbyes and walking away from the scene.

Miyamoto watched as his hand bounced off the Jounin's jacket, but nonetheless...he had indeed learned that day some new tricks to help better him as a shinobi.  He could not wait to show his family what he could do.  That is when Snow told him that the lesson was over for the day and that he was off to do other things around the village.  He did say that if Miyamoto needed more training, that he could run the village.  Miyamoto laughed, knowing he had a long way home in the first place.

He watched Snow walk away as he smiled and yelled out.

"THANK YOU SNOW SENPAI!!!"

He said as he finished up his training and walked home, the sun was setting and his family was waiting for him...now it was time to show off.
