Hyuuga basics

Love was laying around the house bored when one of her clansmen showed up. "Hey Love! Whatcha up to?" He asked looking down at her as she was laid out on the floor. "I'm dying." She told him in a monotonous voice. He laughed, "Want to do some training?" "I don't want to do any taijutsu or ninjutsu." "What!?" The older male bent down and placed his hand on her forehead. "You must be sick." Love scoffed and pushed his hand away as she sat up. "I'm fine, just bored." "Well how would you like to learn a special juinjutsu?" "Juinjutsu?" The male nodded to her, "It's a sealing jutsu unique to the Hyuuga, surely you've heard of it." Love's eyes widened at the sound of his words clicking in her brain. "I thought-" "It's no longer used to separate the houses but it can be used to seal your own, or someone else's, byakugan." Love stood up and faced the male, who also stood. "Teach me."

He smiled at her. "The first step is learning the hand seal; but before that we need to get you something to practice on." The guy then pulled out a scroll and unsealed a puppet. He leaned the puppet against the wall, "Alright copy my hands." The man told her and she did. "Not quite. You need to bend this one more." He pushed her finger in the right position. "What else?" "Just keep practicing it until it feels natural." Love nodded, staring intently at her hands to make sure she was doing the seal right. The man folded his arms across his chest as he stood watching Love practice. Once she felt comfortable he would have her try placing the seal on his puppet. Love spent a few more minutes try the hand seal, she wanted to be as close as possible to perfect before actually trying it on a subject. The older ninja laughed, "You're really a perfectionist." Love glared at him. "I'm ready to try it now."

"Alright." He moved out of the way moving his arms in a swaying motion, like a butler would, pointing to the puppet. Love walked over to the puppet and knelt before it; Once again performing the hand seal. She then placed on hand on the forehead of the puppet. "Well?" He asked noticing that she didn't immediately remove her hand. "I don't think it worked." "We won't know if you don't move your hand." He said and did it for her. "Well you have to try again." He told her after seeing that the jutsu had failed. Love sighed, she'd hoped to get it on the first try since it was a special clan jutsu. "You aren't going to cry are you?" "Shut up!" She shot back. Forming the hand seal for yet another time Love took a moment to pause and make sure that her chakra was flowing properly. Being a Hyuuga chakra control wasn't something she should have trouble with but Love was always worried about getting things right the first time and her emotions would sometimes effect her chakra.

After taking a deep breath Love placed her hand on the puppet and slowly removed it. "Good job crybaby." Love stuck her tongue out at him. "Thanks for teaching me." "No problem." The male then resealed his puppet in it's scroll. "I'll be going unless you want to learn something else?" "If I think of something I'll let you know." The guy nodded and walked away.

Love got up early this morning in order to do some basic training. The air was cool, the sun had yet to come up, and you could barely hear any movement from the wildlife in the surrounding area. Love set up a straw training dummy and began to practice the palm bottom. Love assumed the stance and sent one hand after the other flying into the torso of the dummy. The objective was not only to successfully execute the attack but also to do it quickly so that another attack could be administered. After about ten more attacks Love gave up. "This is so pointless, I need a sparring partner!" She shouted having forgotten the time, but she didn't think that anyone would mind, they should be already waking up by now anyway.

Love walked back to the compound for breakfast. As she walked along the roka of the main house she pasted one of her clansman. "Hey I heard you training earlier, if you need a partner I can help." "Really that'd be so great." "Just meet me at the training grounds once you've finished here." He told her before walking away. Now that Love had someone to train with she was super siked and rushed through breakfast and her daily routine. Love ran through the house trying to get outside before he was called away on a mission or went to train with someone else. "Don't Run Love!" Her mother scolded. "Sorry." She replied as she slipped on her shoes and out the door.

Once she had reached the training grounds she could see her sparring partner and called out to him. "Hey Tokuma!" She said waving. The older male waved back, "Ready to do some training?" "You bet!" "What move were you practicing before?" "Palm bottom but I really want to learn eight trigrams: sixty four palms!" "I see. That's gonna take a while, we'll see how much we can get done." "Alright." "I'll teach you the palm bottom first though." Love sighed. "Fine." Love said with a pout, Tokuma smiled at her. "Show me what you've got." He told her and Love assumed the position and attacked. "That was good but you need to put more force behind it. Try again." Love did what she was instructed to do.

"Ok now I'm going to attack you. Just keep trying to attack me." Love nodded and deflected Tokuma's attacks. "Come on I know you can go faster than that!" He said meaning to be encouraging not taunting. Love glared at him, she was trying but he was a jounin. She deflected a few more hits before landing one of her own. "Again!" He shouted and hit her. Now I'm mad. Love thought as her success was short lived. Activating the byakugan, she started to move faster throwing more attacks but he managed to dodge them all. After a while Tokuma began to notice Love’s attacks becoming slower than when they started. "Why don't we take a break?" He asked letting his guard down. Love took advantage of it and landed an attack, "Sure we can take a break now." She said smirking.

"That was sneaky." "You should know better than to let down your guard in a fight." Tokuma chuckled, "Yea, you're right." Love and Tokuma walked back to the house and were greeted by her mother. "Oh there you are Love." "I was training with Toku." Tokuma bowed to the older woman. "You must've been training hard, you were gone all morning." Love nodded. "We've still got a lot more to do." "I hope you have time to eat." "Of course!" With that the two entered the house ending the training for the day.
